Hi,

I would like to raise a complaint against ACT Fibernet for its fraud. I'm a ACT Fibernet customer for over 8 years and everything was smooth until this post pandemic, when I had issues related to electricity incurred due to junction box and dropped a ticket to Customer Support for troubleshooting it. The technician arrived at my doorstep and then he started to repair the box and mentioned that due to more than 8 cables, the electricity is high and he said, he is going to charge additional Rs: 300/- for the box and claimed to add it to the original bill. I paid the cash every month and he use to call his superior and confirm the payment and send a bill. My original plan opted is Rs: 1200/- however, the bill after i paid extra Rs: 300/- is Rs: 1500/-. The technician used to send emails from support (ACT) and this has continued between Jan'21 to Nov'21. The same bills I have submitted in my company. During the audit, I came to know that the bills which technician from ACT submitted, are tampered. Unfortunately, I cannot retrieve those emails which technician used to send due to storage issues in my GMAIL personal account as these emails are deleted due to the filter which deletes emails more than 30 days.

I tried reaching out to head office of ACT however, I cannot get any help from the team and asked me to reach out to nodal team of ACT. I drafted multiple emails to the Nodal team and mentioned about the issue and asked for the emails however, the ACT is sending the online bills but not the ones which are added with additional charges (rs: 300/-).

During the calls with the support team, I get multiple responses like the technician is dead, he is not working here, he is no more with the company and all. From overall investigation which i have done from my end on ACT Fibernet, I see that the company hires third party vendors who has part timers and change to different locations based on request.

I don't have hard evidences however, I have many eye witnesses during the payments and also during the visits at my place. Since I'm unaware of this box and how it works or consumes, the fell into the technicians words and thought whatever he is saying is right and had paid him since he is from ACT support.

I have became the victim of the fraud from the third party company who is hired by ACT fibernet and now the company claims that they don't have such process or people. There are many incidents in my area and with also with my friends of such issues and money frauds. I aint able to understand what to do now.

I really need help and justice from the Consumer team in understanding my issue and helping me with this case.

Hi Team,

It looks like neither nodal team nor appellate team has any resolution. All I was looking for is justice and the ACT team doesn't provide it. I really feel sad that for being a loyal customer for more than 8 years for ACT, all i could get it just another disappointment from the team.

Can someone please help me here.

    I have disconnected my act service on 26 dec 2021 and router was picked on the same day. Since then I have called more than 30 times and they always tell me refund will be done in 24 hrs and I will be receiving a call from backend team but I haven't received any call from them. It's been almost 3 months.

      After facing packetloss issue's while gaming from the past 2 months, i contacted support to get this issue resolved, initially i was asked to wait for a month to get the issue fixed. After a month the issue was not resolved so i contacted support again and from there they have been giving reasons that the issue will be resolved by today's end and this has been going back and forth for a month.
      I've lost all hope as to what i can do to get the basic routing issue to get rectified. Please help me in this regard.

        I am an ACT customer since April 2018. Recently I raised a shifting request to ACT on February 27, 2022. March 1st, I have been informed that there is no feasibility in my shifting area and they requested me to disconnect the connection. As I have already paid due amount for March month, they promised to refund my amount and I agreed for disconnection. Now I waited for 21 days and still there is no refund from their end. Everyime I call their customer care, they come up with a different lie to get a positive feedback. I called them multiple times and there is no proper response. They are delaying too much just to refund my money. There is no proper customer support and they finally end up with the answer "issue forwared to concerned team". Being their customer for 4 years, I am very much disappointed by their action. I want my refund immediately and please provide proper resolution.

          I requested a Bill Waiver on 19/3/2022 for which i didn't use it for 40 days in my last billing cycle(6 Months Plan), regularly I only used 100 GB of the total 3300 GB I was allocated, and first executive which i spoke to her mentioned that you will get a waiver for this cycle and she checked with the backend team then only she confirmed that you will get it.But the backend team executive called me and says we cannot give any waiver and disconnected the phone and was very rude and hung up the phone on me prematurely before I could ask him about the bill details. Will not recommend ACT

              I requested a disconnection on 15/3/2022 and I wanted a bill waiver because I only used 53 GB of the total 3300 GB I was allocated, and I did not want to pay for the whole 6 months in advance. The service executive was very rude and hung up the phone on me prematurely before I could ask him about the bill details. Will not recommend ACT

                        There was a high power output by ACT server due to which there was a blast in my house. Entire switch and modem got burst. When I complain, ACT is just ignoring the mails and when I call customer care they say will check and call back.
                        Very poor service and safety. My son just escaped the blast.

                            I have a Broadband connection with ACT FIBRENET[protected]. SINCE 6th March 2022, internet not working. Multiple complaint raised. Without my consent all complaint tickets closed. Today 9th March, still no internet. Now they have removed my junction box and no reconnection done.

                            Worst behaviour from their field engineers. Mental torture for me. I am WFH, now my health is spoilt because of this.

                              I have paid my act bill for 6 moths on Decenber 5th and due to issues on wrong usage reports and worst customer services, i wanted to deactivate my request immediately and get the money refunded for remaining 3 months not going to be used.
                              The only reason I have paid for 6 months is that I can leave the connection whenever the service is poor which is true during the recent times.
                              I havewritten several mails but they do not help. I have called the customer caer executives but they say they will not refund and HANG UP WHILE I AM EXPLAINING MY ISSUE REGARDING REFUND.
                              This is the poorest service ever and I am not getting MY MONEY back.
                              Act is literally looting my money and providing cheap services and playing cheap tricks on consumers.
                              I really really need the refund and get my connectin cancelled so that I can switch too a better service with better plans, better pricing and wayyy better customer service.

                                We raised the ticket several time but not responded and the ticket status was marked as closed after a few days later in the ticket section closed the ticket and opened ticket also empty still not disconnect my connection

                                  I have called the customer care on 27th Feb in the morning for the disconnection of my ACT Fibernet and they created a ticket Ref No SR[protected]. And told me that we will call you for the confirmation within 24 hours before Disconnecting. So, After that they called me 4-5 times and every time they were asking me the reason for disconnecting. I have replied again and again that I am not satisfied with our Internet. So, they accepted my request and told me that we will Disconnect your service soon and closed my ticket and here the fraud of ACT starts "They have mentioned in the ticket that you have changed your mind and willing to continue our Internet Service". So, I called again to the customer service and asked the customer care what's this. So he replied it's just a technical glitch you don't worry your service will be disconnect before 1 March and reopened my ticket again. But yesterday on "28th feb" I have received the same message again that you have changed your mind and willing to continue our service and closed my ticket again. So, I tried calling customer care again and again but they didn't picked up the call. So, I re-opened the ticket from ACT mobile app. But today In the morning I have seen that they have generated a new Bill of 5657 for next 6 months whose due date is 15th March. So, I called again to the customer care and asked them why are you doing this fraud. So the support guy told me that don't worry your connection will be disconnected today and your generated bill will be cancelled. But still no one contacted me for the disconnection. Please Disconnect my connection anyways I will have to file a complaint to consumer forum.

                                    I have net issue from 22/02/2022 afternoon 12.30 pm. I raised a complaint and a ticket was opened (SR[protected]). And even called the customer care spoke to them, but none responded. Yesterday i, e 23/02/2022 I called the Act customer care around 11.00 am and asked them to fix the issue as I'm working from home and have to bare loss of pay as I cannot login without internet. They informed we would take on priority and raised a ticket(SR[protected]) and close it asap. In the evening I called twice around 6.00 and 6.30 pm, even then they said the same thing that we would soon close the issue. And after an hour, I received text messages to mobile stating, your tickets are closed.
                                    They closed the complaints without fixing the internet.
                                    And today, until now none of them responded, due to which I couldn't login and had loss of pay for 2 days. Now should I bare the loss of pay because of your truly irresponsible and negligence.
                                    I think Act is not a reliable broadband, and we can't depend on it especially while doing work from home.
                                    Its the 3rd day since I had this issue, but none of them gave me a call and asked about the issue.
                                    Worst ever service, fed up with this gesture. its better to go for an alternate rather than depending on u guys.
