ACT Fibernet's inefficiency and incompetency continue.

They cheat customers ripping us off hefty subscription fees and fail to provide reliable service.

My son could not take his tests properly as we were forced to use 4G hotspot as internet is down.

    I have been using ACT Broadband for over 3 years. I have been using subsidised Netflix for nearly 2 yrs. Since September 2021 I have been unable to login to Netflix which is (Rs 649/- subsidised to Rs.449/-). After 10 days of struggle they found out to be a security issue where my email was mapped to another account. So despite repeated attempts the issue could not be resolved. So after discussion with the Netflix team I opted for a separate Netflix plan and its working well. However ACT are continuing to charge me for Netflix. Though I have opted for a 6 monthly broadband plan which expires in March 2022, there are harshly communicating that they will disconnect the broadband it the Netflix subscription is not paid. Further the demand of 749/- is for a higher plan which I did not subscribe. It appears there is a security issue in their system where other people are hacking into the credentials and using it to view Netflix. As I have not shared the password with anyone and its used only on the TV there can be no security issue form our side. Hence I request action may be taken against ACT to reimburse my subscriptions paid on September, October and also make the demand for November null and void. Further charges for mental agony whatever applicable as they do not respond properly to our requests and repeated calls need to be made.

    The consumer complaint arranged a call-back indicating that the problem will be resolved, but unfortunately they have disconnected my connection. They say they would restore only if I paid for netflix. With online school exams coming up for the kids tomorrow morning its a real inconvenience. My broadband bill is paid till March 2022, but instead of stopping netflix they have disconnected my broadband too.

    They have called back that they would restore the connection, but it’s all a bluff. Connection is disconnected. They don’t call back and discuss the issue properly. Customer interaction is very poor.

      According to ACT website on shifting :

      Process will take 5 to 7 days depending on the type of connection. Our engineer will visit with 48 hrs of request to give you the exact resolution time.

      I have called customer care multiple times to get an update, but the support team is clueless on when the engineer will contact me, nor if my location is feasible.

      Looks like any delay in processing improves ACTs profit, since the customer pays for a service that’s not provided. Hope someone takes cognisance of this.

      Call back was received 4 days after this message, from a technician. Technician, checked the address and informed that the area was under another technicians purview. He asked me to get in touch with customer care.. Pathetic customer support from ACT continues. Since, there is no response from ACT, I have decided to terminate the connection after putting up with poor quality service for many years. Getting dues back from them is going to be another challenge.

            Internet not working

            Respected Sir/Madam,

            My ACT Fibernet stopped working on 12th November 2021. I raised a complaint on 12 Nov 2021. Instead of solving the problem, the service team closed the complaint. I again raised the complaint. By the end of the day (13/11/21), the service team again closed the complaint ticket without rectifying it. Next day(14/11/21) a service person called up and promised to resolve the problem. At the end of day(14/11/21),...

                I still haven’t got my network back. I have raised so many complaints and yet the complaints get closed saying it’s resolved. But there’s still no network in my home. We have office work which requires wifi and cannot function with just mobile data. Absolutely horrid service.

                  Act account still suspended even after payment is made. You're quick to send regular mails to remind payment 10 days before deadline, but you can't activate the account once it's made?

                    I did not subscribe to your internet service to listen to your apologies. Work on improving your service.

                    Ask your staff at [protected] to NOT call me and disturb me.

                    I write my feedback messages on this forum so people know the incompetency level of your service.

                    You have a monopoly in our area, with BSNL as only other option. So you have no incentive to improve.

                    On top of that you have an unethical policy that a customer must tolerate any outage less than 24 hours and expect no refund. This is an UNETHICAL practice. With outages week after week, customers only suffer.

                    You do not care about families WFH and dependent on online classes.

                            I took Act fibernet connection as 3 months advance rental plan and used it almost an year, later I decided to disconnect it. I called ACT Customer care multiple times to disconnect.
                            Later I received a bill, I called again then they told that thier billing cycle is post the end date of my 3 months end date and that's why the bill is generated and I must pay else they will take legal action, they spoke rudely disrespectfully and started lying that I never requested for disconnection but only enquired. They told the time between my 3 months end date and thier billing cycle is when I must pay to keep my connection active, I didn't paid /recharged because I didn't wanted to continue and their customer service never told me that they will generate bill.

                            Later after gettig so much torchered, threatened and getting abused by Act calling, I cleared the bill and requested for disconnection but they offered upgraded plan with same rental, I told I will think and get back.

                            They went ahead and activated my connection and when I called them for disconnection and refused to the upgraded plan, they told I need to pay again because connection is active from 7th and I took 2 days to think and reply about Disconnection.

                            This is how they cheated me last time also by not telling that they will keep billing me and won't disconnect the connection.

                            Please help I dipperesed, humiliated, conned, cheated and feeling fooled by Act fibernet customer service people, they hide information and then threatened people to take leagal action. When I told I will do a police complain they openly tell go and complain and disconnected the call.

                            I tried my best to resolve the issue by sending multiple emails and multiple calls but they always cheat . Attached is the copy of bill I paid because the forced and torchered me

                              ACT is a disgusting service. They do not understand pain or care for customer's concern. They take money and do not provide reliable service.

                              Taking monopoly for granted. Shame on ACT Fibernet.
                              It is the same story in Banashankari 2nd stage Bangalore since 2018. Irresponsible company ACT Fibernet. SR[protected]

                                I wanted to cancel my subscription as I am moving my location ( permanent relocation) …..I have made my payment for 6 months and has been used for 2 months . Wanted my refund amount for 4 months . Tried contacting act Fibernet office Vijayawada, but the response is nil.

                                  Repeated service outages of internet service do not mean anything. Complaints since last 2 years have not resulted in any improvements.

                                  This team claims no responsibility for refunding prorated subscription charges when they have outages that last 12-20 hours. Families dependent on internet are left at their mercy.

                                  Shameful attitude of ACT Fibernet Appellate and Nodal teams taking their monopoly in or area for granted.

                                  One thing ACT staff is trained to do is write these meaningless "regret" and "apology" messages. Or maybe they are automated bots sending bogus apologies.

                                  ACT's internet service standard is extremely poor and low. Your attitude that a customer doesn't deserve a refund even when he suffers an outage for several hours (10-20 hours) during the day incurring a loss of work shows how low your standard is.

                                  Here is the latest outage since yesterday morning: SR10263451834814. Last week's outage: SR10263334234024

                                  Week after week, there is an outage. Unethical and unprofessional.

But you have sent me a Msg that if the payment is not done on[protected] the service was suspended and accordingly the service was suspended by 7 pm on[protected]. Let me know the reason and resolve the problem and also extend these two days of suspended period to my connection.

                                      I have been ACT user for more than 5years, I have raised ACT Fibernet disconnection request as they are frequesnt disconnections (monthly 1 to 3days downtime) on 2nd Nov Ref No SR[protected], ideally as per thier website they should contact in 48hours but I got a call on this request on 7th Nov at 3:19 pm IST. While I was speaking on the call, I informed them to disconnect but disconnection support team spoke rudely and asked me to the money for month advance when I denied they started speaking rudely. Later I got a message stating that I have changed my decision ie., to continue ACT service and they resolved the ticket . I reponed twice as they repeated same thing.
                                      I called multiple times, they say they connect call to disconnect team but they dont even speak and later close my request stating I have changed my decision.

                                      This is FRAUD, pathetic customer service. They are cheating that I have changed my decision to continue to my service when I actually raised ticket to disconnect on 2nd Nov, now they keep my call on hold or do not pick my call at all.
