Been using ACT broadband for the past 2 odd years.
The first 7 months were fine, with no issues, however since then we regularly had poor wifi and similar problems. And we noticed raising a complaint for the same almost every month for more than a year.
We finally requested a technical person be sent home to check if there is any issue with the wiring, because no matter how many times we complained, the issue never fully got resolved.
They did send a technician home and it was stated that we were provided a router (which we receiebed from ACT when we had onboarded their services two years back) that does not support the speed of the internet package we had taken. This was a really huge miss from their side. Our current plan for more than a year has been 200 mbps, however the router only supports 100 mbps. But without knowing this, we have been paying extra money AND receiving poor internet.
So, naturally we raised a polite mail to them - helpdesk.[protected]@actcorp.in - the first mail was sent on 30th July.
I receive a call from their team for this issue on 12th AUGUST! this also after repeated calls to the support team and multiple follow up mails.
They suggested that they will give us a free router as compensation, but we did not accept this, since If we changed service providers we would automatically get a free router. It was NOT the right resolution for a mistake as big as this. So we asked them to get back with a more sincere compensation. This is when the harassment started.
I'm not sure if they can mark numbers and ignore it, because that's what happened. In the event that someone does connect, they will cut my call as I'm speaking, REPEATEDLY, or not answer my call all together.
There were days when I used to get cut atleast 5 times a day as I'm speaking.
This is when we sent a stinker email to the team. A stinker stating that it's going to be a month and no resolution was arrived at.
I was now met with harassment from the retention team itself. I spoke to one Saravanan/ Saravana on 24th August, from the Chennai team, who assured me that a new router and 10 days worth free service will be provided. This call was not a pleasant one. I was FORCED to accept this useless compensation. In the call, this person also suggested I was bargaining for more. Absolute nasty support. Still, I agreed to it, because I had already paid upfront money - My package does not end till November!
And today, on 25fh August, one day after confirming the issue to be resolved, I receive an automated msg that my service has been terminated. At 6.45 pm, when no support was going to be possible.
NOT ONLY HAVE I BEEN HARRASED, IM NOW ROBBED OF THE THOUSANDS I HAVE PAID UPFRONT.

Updated by Sindhu Sundaramurthi Please do not lie on a public platform such as this. Nobody got in touch with me, and the issue has not been resolved!
In fact today, my internet connection has been disabled, stating I owe money for the free modem even though my next billing date is in November 2021.
just how much more is your team going to harass me???
