I had taken the connection for 6 months offered by act by doing a prepaid mode of payment. They quoted a price of rs. 4850, which i paid upfront before getting the connection. They promised me a free router before the payment, but did not oblige while setting up the connection. Since, i was in a need for new connection i did not have a choice but to get the connection anyway. Their sites are misleading giving out wrong information too.
After one month of connection, they generated a new bill saying there is a outstanding amount to be paid. I tried contacting them through all different means possible. I emailed them a few times without receiving any response, i wrote to them on messengers. I called their numbers, but 2 of them are not serviceable in 3. At last i got through in to a number, and they made me wait 12 minutes and took down the complaint. They promised that the problem would get solved in 24 hours, but they simply closed the problem in place of resolving the issue. I had to call them the next day again and after 7 mins got through them. They reopened the complaint again and then promised that it will get resolved, finally cutting the call on my face without giving prior warning. Same thing happened again, they closed the complaint without resolving it. I tried to peacefully call them one more time on the third day, it again took 10 mins to get through to them but i patiently waited. This time the customer executive told me that they raised the prices after they had given us the connection and without intimation just generated the bill. I pointed out that they cannot do that, since they had quoted a price and took an advance payment of their services. They should have informed us of the price changes. She conveniently hung up the call knowing very well that next time i will not be able to get through to their customer care. I am being pushed around like this for 15 days now, and its not fair to us as customers to go through this. Their service is terrible and their way of dealing with complaints is unfair.
