I took flight AI382 from Delhi to Singapore yesterday. I was seated in Biz class 2F
The flight was delayed by over 5 hrs on the tarmac with POOR communication from rge Airlines and from the ground staff.
The pilots were nowhere to be seen.
How can Air India board passengers without the presence of any pilots?
Why was food not served to business class passengers for more than 4 hours
Why were passengers left stranded on the ground for more than 4 hours ( international max stranded time) against their Will.
Whilst the aircrew tried their best to communicate they were not being responded to to keep the passengers calm.

    Subject: Formal Notice of Compensation Claim for Breach of Contract and Negligence

    Dear Air India Customer Service,

    I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and frustration with the egregiously deficient level of service I endured during my recent business class trip from London Heathrow (LHR) to Silchar (IXS), departing on the 11th of December and returning on the 18th of December.

    Despite being aware of layovers, the shocking lack of assistance and care provided to transit passengers, especially those with young children, amounts to a clear breach of contract and negligence on the part of Air India.

    Upon inquiring about the 10-hour stopover in Mumbai and the subsequent 6-hour stopover in Kolkata (CCU), I faced consistent redirection between telephone customer service and check-in personnel. To my dismay, I was informed at Heathrow that the airline does not provide hotel accommodations, and any assistance should be sought from ground staff in Mumbai.

    Upon arriving in Mumbai after a 9-hour flight, I approached the ground staff for assistance, only to be informed that no support could be provided, leaving me and my two young children stranded in the airport for the entirety of the 10-hour layover. Despite being a business class passenger, I was appalled to learn that lounge access was denied for over 3 hours, and for the remaining 7 hours, I was left to wander the airport without the option to leave.

    This lack of communication and inadequate support persisted upon reaching Kolkata at midnight. Ground staff insisted they couldn't help and even suggested that I pay for a dormitory bed at my own expense. After much insistence, I was begrudgingly offered lounge access, only to be informed that the lounge would close at 3 am, necessitating another relocation.

    Given the undeniable breach of contractual obligations and the negligence displayed throughout my journey, I hereby formally request compensation for the distress, inconvenience, and violation of contractual terms. This experience not only fell significantly short of the agreed-upon standard of service but also resulted in tangible harm to my travel experience and well-being.

    I insist on a thorough investigation into this matter and expect a prompt and detailed response outlining the compensation process. Failure to address this matter adequately may necessitate legal action to recover damages and hold Air India accountable for its contractual breaches and negligent conduct.

        On November 29th, 2023, I took an Air India flight from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Mumbai. Unfortunately, upon arriving at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport by AI 865 on November 30th, I encountered a significant issue – my checked baggage did not arrive with me.

        I promptly approached the airport staff in Mumbai to report the missing baggage, and they assured me that my bags would be sent to my destination promptly. However, it has now been over 24 hours since I reported the issue, and I have received neither an update on the whereabouts of my luggage nor any assistance from the airline. To make matters worse, my attempts to contact the airline via phone have gone unanswered, leaving me feeling stranded and helpless.

        I am reaching out to your esteemed forum to seek assistance in resolving this matter urgently. The prolonged delay in locating and delivering my baggage has caused significant inconvenience and distress during my travels. I implore you to intervene on my behalf and help expedite the process of locating and delivering my missing luggage.

        I kindly request that you initiate an investigation into this incident and facilitate communication between Air India and myself to ensure the swift resolution of this issue. My main concern is the safe and prompt return of my belongings and more importantly my documents and medicines.

        Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for any additional information or documentation required to assist with the investigation.

        I am grateful for your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution. Thank you for your assistance in this challenging situation.

          It's been a month we are waiting for refund for flights that were rescheduled by you. and you offered to cancel free of cost. we are calling customer care daily with no response no action. we spend hours of our time trying to connect to the supervisor finally speaking to one named "Shubham" who promised to help and get back with a status, but it's been 3 days no call back.
          there are 9 tickets cancelled but seems like Air India is not bothered about customers.

            Myself and my husband booked tickets with Air India paying the full amount of £1341.43. However this was cancelled by Air India and was told we would get our money back. so far we have received £552.77 and are still awaiting £788.66. could you please let us know when we will get this back. we have always travelled with Air India and have never had a problem before.

              Travel Date 16.11.2023, Bus No TN 93 D 8713. Air India Bus, from Tiruppur to Rameswaram
              Ticket was booked for AC bus but travelled in Non AC bus that too driver used aboused word and trethened me to cancel the ticket, and asked to get down from bus due to low bookings, Air India is One of the most dangerous and unsafe bus to travel...look into this and need justice and apologize from concern. Driver used very bad words in front of Ladies and kids, how these persons are permitted. Please take up and requesting not to book tickets with Air India Bus,

                I would like to formally document the frustration I endured due to Air India's apparent disregard for passenger comfort. Being a frequent Air India traveler, I find myself disheartened by the airline's operational practices.

                My ticket for the November 9, 2023, 762 flight from Delhi to Kolkata was in the Business Class. However, just one hour prior to the flight, I received a call from Air India, alerting me to an aircraft change that now designated the entire flight as Economy Class. It is imperative that such crucial information should have been communicated to passengers at the time of booking, especially since I had paid for a Business Class ticket, only to be unexpectedly moved to Economy. I was given assurance that I would receive a refund for the fare difference, though I remain puzzled as to the method used to determine this difference.

                My initial hopes of improved services with Air India after its acquisition by Tata have been dashed by this incident. Consequently, I intend to reduce my reliance on Air India for future travel as much as possible.

                      Melbourne to new delhi, date of journey is 25th jan 2024.
                      Booking id NN2BH3E0P8ESB2QU5148- Flight has been rescheduled and i cannot travel due to changes in flight's timing as i have a connecting flight from sydney to melbourne, hence i require cancellation of my flight on the basis of reschedule done by the flight.

                      Despite paying extra to cover cancellation and date change, still when air lines reschedules then makemytrip.com does not support date change policy, hence a person is only left with the option to cancel the current flight and request for refund while a cheaper option of changing dates is null and void.

                          My initial flight to Delhi from Mumbai by Air India was delayed by 1.5 hours due to which I missed my connecting flight. I was denied boarding.

                          Since I had a work assignment, I had to immediately book another flight from another carrier for a very high price and travel.

                          Had Air India flight AI888 been running on time, this would had never happened. I am seeking a refund from Air India.

                            Myself Megha had PNR 4HVFS8, I booked flight ticket from new york to delhi both side, While returing, I removed my infant from my PNR from delhi to new york, I called airindia to remove it and they told me to call to my travel agency to remove because they booked it. My agency just removed infant from PNR, i reached airport and Air india said, they cannot allow me without paying extra charge because when I removed infant my class changed from M to T. I do not know what class class M or T, we do not removed infant.. later they did not allow me to take flight. I NEED MY MONEY BACK. If you have any portal or technical issue in your site, I am not responsible for it..

                              Dear AI,

                              I was unable to travel to the Punjab since 2019 due to the covid lock down and other commitments and was really looking forward to my Journey (BHX to ATQ via DEL) bearing in mind that TATA (who originally created Air India) took over AI operations in Jan 2022. However, I was disappointed with the experience, particularly the DEL to ATQ leg. The journey started well enough with a smooth check in and security clearance at BHX, but I was surprised that the infotainment system on Boeing Dreamliner 787 was not working, and also had limited functionality judging by what the fellow passengers were also experiencing ; This is unacceptable on a long haul flight especially when some passengers had paid over £800 for the return flight. The Air hostess service was also poor as they were more interested in having a huddle at the service area rather than see to the needs of the passengers. The airline now appear to have a disregard for the well-being of its passengers.

                              Upon arrival at DEL, it was absolute mayhem ; Going through immigration and security clearance "again" was an absolute nightmare... it started at the baggage collection area where there were these so called "helpers" in light pink/orange tee shirts who were off loading the baggage from the belt without the knowledge of the passengers. After a while there was a heap of bags on the floor next to the baggage belt and people were just wandering around like sheep trying to find their bags. It took me 45 minutes to collect my bags which is unacceptable when the flight transfer was 1 hr 50m considering the time it takes for check in and security clearance. Anyway, I managed to make my way to check in to find a long que and the "helpers" asking to see passenger passports ; I thought this was strange but managed to get to the check in desk after about 30 mins in the que. The "helper" followed me all the way to the check in desk and said to me that the duty free I had bought at BHX was not in a sealed bag & would not get through security and made me open my hold luggage and asked to put the duty free in the bag whilst also having a look inside the bag. I knew this was nonsense but due to the time pressure put on me by the "helper" and check in staff, I complied with their request and bags were eventually checked in, and the "helper" then kept re-assuring me that he was there to help me ... etc and decided to accompany me to the departure gate which was a good 20 minute brisk walk from check in area. While making our way to the departure gate he started hustling me for a tip, and when I offered him 100Rps he got a bit offended and insisted on 500Rps but I stuck to my guns and eventually made it to the departure gate and just made the flight. Upon arrival at ATQ, I found out that one of my bags had been left behind in DEL... lo behold it was the same bag that I was told to open at DEL check in, and it took AI over 7 days to eventually deliver the bag to my Punjab address. When I opened the bag (which had a travel lock on it), I found some of my electrical goods were missing !(approx. £190 in value) !!! Reflecting back on the experience, it would appear that the so called "helpers" at DEL are in fact "HUSTLERS" who are in collusion with others (possibly AI check in and security staff) based on them targeting foreign passengers (e.g. looking at the passengers passport while in check area... etc). The return flight from ATQ to BHX (via DEL) was good because it avoided the check in process at DEL but poor because once again the information system was not working on the relatively modern Boeing Dreamliner 787 !!! I also enquired with DEL security desk whether or not I would be able to recover my electrical goods that were taken out of my bag on 22 Aug ... I was not surprised that the security staff were not very helpful !!!

                              I remember the period when AI (under government ownership) first started offering flights from the UK to ATQ (about 8 to 10 years ago) and that was not a pleasant experience either because of the stop over at DEL ; However, the quality of service and passenger satisfaction gradually improved over the years when they stopped disembarking the passengers at DEL who were heading for ATQ, suffice to say that the last couple of trips I made to ATQ before the lock down were a very pleasant experience. Furthermore, why is the cost of the direct flights to ATQ significantly more (hundreds of pounds) than those to DEL considering ATQ is a shorter distance from the UK, hence less fuel required ?

                              It has taken me a while to decide whether or not to offer the feedback, and I eventually took the decision based on the fact that the private sector always strives to achieve excellence, and that the customer is King ; If TATA are serious about making AI the best in the sector, they should take immediate action to rectify the shortcomings in the quality of service and the maintenance requirements of their fleet, otherwise they will start losing customers "en masse" to their competitors.

                                WE ARE CANADIAN CITIZEN -Airline, , PNR - 5E2BDZ-..Ticket no..[protected]&[protected]..- MY -, We booked AI 186 Van to Dli on 23rd Sept., and paid to reserve seats,
                                At the time of check in we requested to upgrade on payment but were told ALL FULL,
                                after boarding my seat was broken and it took the staff 90 minutes to discuss with seniormost person Aditya and offered one seat no 53 E, despite our repeated requests to upgrade on payment -WHEREAS ALL PASENGERS SUPPORTED OUR CAUSE and noticed few seats are vacant in BUSINESS CLASS, most disappointing was that STAFF was unconcered of our pain and lastly a passenger offered seat no. 21H and ihad to sit for 12 hours and being a artheritis and other AGED PROBLEMS I would like to inform that I am still not feeling normal
                                I WOULD LIKE SUITABLE ACTION TAKEN AND COMPENSATED MY TRAVEL EXPENSES /alternatively wl be forced to follow my legal well wishers advice
                                A detailed report was also submitted by Air hostess who was concerned of our pains We had to sit apart during whole journey in MOST UNPLEASANT SITUATION

                                      I landed in Frankfurt Germany on 6.10.23 with Air India 121 from New Delhi.

                                      Unfortunately, my suitcase has not arrived respectively I did not get them.
                                      Nobody from AI Frankfurt helped me -nobody was available. I have try to call to Air India Frankfurt, whithout success. No email could be send - all have been rejected. no Fax was possible.
                                      I am very disapointed - I try since Friday but I could not annouce my lost at all !!!

                                        My return flight # AI553 (from 23rd Sep 2023) was cancelled by Airline (Air India itself) and they have given the alternate flight # AI440 on 23 Sep at 6am from Chennai to Delhi which is really not suitable for me.
                                        So, I asked Air india agent to cancel the ticket because which is not suitable me as I need to wait an additional 2 hrs 25 mts at Delhi Airport to get the SFO flight. In that case my overall waiting time at Delhi airport increased to 6 hrs 25 mts instead of 4 hours. He confirmed that I will get a full refund as per policy. Also, he cancelled the ticket.

                                        I have created the Support ticket in Air India website: 20123708 during April 2023 to interact with them. Many many follow-ups with them via this ticket reference. Every time I was getting the replay from different different Agent with different stories.

                                        I am supposed to get a full re-fund i.e $924.71 but received only the partial amount i.e $644.71 after deducting the cancellation amount. It was not my mistake, and I should get a full re-fund based on the above policy.
