[Resolved]  Indian Railway — Miss management at AC coaches

In all the pantry cars of Indian railway pantry car ,they are nit providing biscuit with tea.The qulity of food is aldo extremely bad.

I had travelled with my family fr new dlhi to mumbai central on[protected].
1 The food supplied in the train was below standard. In jain food they give us alu mutter subji
2 Compartmet was so dirty -cockrorach & rat in our compartment.

Sir / Madam,
I am a resident of Bhiwandi, Dist Thane. Maharashtra.
I work at Nariman Point, so I have to travel to Thane by bus and thereafter i have to board train to CST
I would like to draw your kind attention to the problems we are facing due to lack of local railway service.
We have few trains running from Vasai to Diva/Panvel via Bhiwandi Road. We have a train bound to Panvel in the morning at 8.00 AM and there after the other train running towards Panvel / Diva is at 1.23 PM. In between there is not a single train running on this route. During night the last train from Panvel to Boisar / Dhanu is at 7.22 PM frm Kopar and reaches Bhiwandi by 7.40 pm. Thereafter we do not hav any trains in that direction. The passengers alight and board in thousands. So theres no question of inadequate traffic on this route.

Bhiwandi is known as Manchester of India. We have Power Looms and mostly all the businessman have their sales department / office in Mumbai. They mostly face the problems while returning due to heavy traffic conjestion on roads.

We have requested many times, we have forwarded many applications and reqeusts to concerned departments with signatures of fellow passengers to increase the frequency of trains in up and down directions every hour.

Hence on behalf of all the residents of Bhiwandi i request you to please look in this matter with utmost importance and provide with positive results as quickly as possible.

as i had sent the forms to rail nilayam till now i had no response on i had missed the 2 months before

I, Partha Pratim Mondal, live in Kanchrapara, North 24 parganas. Pin 743145, West Bengal. I have faced a problem from Jan 2008. My Father Sri Gobinda Ch Mondal is an employee of Kanchrapara Workshop, in 12th January 2008 he got an attract CVA. Then he admitted to kanchrapara railway hospital. On 20th January 2008 he referred B.R.Sing. One month latter he discharged from B.R.Sing, from then he is seek, Now he under treatment of B.R.Sing OPD, in between time he has admitted hospital several time. My father can’t speck properly, some psychologically problems are growing him. My father is ill this is not a problem to me. But from 21 month he has unable to do his job, so he not gets money from railway. Something payment we get as his HOL, now he is on EOL, I submit medical certificate every month in railway office. Now we are facing monitory problems. There have no body to help me. Each & everybody refuse to get any type of liabilities. From these months we are only some medicines from hospital. Please help me; we are going to be dying. I want if he is medically fit, let’s join him. Or he is unfit declare this, I am unable to face this problems now, getting fed up, I have lost my sprite to live. I am an educated person that’s why I cant begging. Please madam helps me.

Today i.e on[protected] I tried to book AC 3 Tier (3A) ticket to Yesvantpur ( YPR) from Secunderabad (SC) for the train No 2735 requesting a LOWER BERTH. But the request is disallowed twice while the availability of berths is shown as 447. Are there no lower berths available in 447 berths?. Or else there are no lower berths in Garib Rath Train No. 2735. But it is shown as AC 3 Tier (3A) from which I understand that there are three tier of berths as generally in all other Trains. Is there any special about GARIB RATHS or Train No. 2735. Since I don't know well about the Railway reservation system or online booking, or about These GARIB RATHS, I request you to clear my doubts and send me detailed reservation policies and the procedure of online booking.

Indian Railway — Used dirty bed roll given in 2AC of Kanchunjunga Express Train No 5657

Dear Sir,
We are travelling in this train on 11.09.09 in 2AC. Bed Roll provided is used and dirty one. Upon asking to change they refused and asked to lodge complain. When we asked complain book the TTE is avoiding and giving excuses.
Hence we have made this complian.Our PNR is [protected]

Subject: The sleeper coach is not attached to 4116 on 02.09.2009.

Respected Madam,

With due respect, we citizen of india, want to bring in to your kind attention about the problem that my family faced at the time of boarding the train. I have booked an e-ticket through the agent. The name of agent is Shashank Chandak. My transaction id is : [protected] PNR no. [protected] dated 2-09-09 Haridwar Allhabad express (Train no: 4116) boarding from Bareilly to Allahabad. When my family reached to bareilly station than i was met to Head TC to know the position of coach (S5) from engine. Then he says today S5 is not coming witth the train. When i ask what is the reason, then he told me that "i don't know". Then i meet station master, he also says that he got message from authorities that today(02.09.09), S5 is not attached to the train. Again he said, you can enter to S3 or S2 and meet the TT, he will give you seats. As we have to arrive Allhabad urgently, then we did the same. When we board to S3, after half an hour, TT comes and says your ticket amount is refund to your agent. We say how it is possible, we have not given any instruction to the agent, then ow he can do this. Again he says, "chart mai apka naam nahi hai". Then immediately i call to my agent and he says, "humne koi tickeet cancel nahi kiya hai..hum apne customers kai saath aisa nahi karte hai". since i know my agent very well, at that time i am sure that this is the fault of railway and the TT tries to impose it to my agent. Then at the next station, we drop our journey.

Next day, i contacted to my agent and he shows me the refund status, but still no refund is given by IRCTC to my agent account.
Sir, in the view of above, i request you to check the PNR status. What are the reasons of not connecting the S5 coach to 4116 on 02.09.2009. Our seat numbers are 1 and 3. Respected madam now we want full return of the ticket & you must take some action against the TT visiting coach number S5 at bareilly junction.

TATKAL TICKET BOOKING IS ALLOWED AFTER 8.00AM BEFOR TWO CLEAR DAY OF JOURNY DATE BUT WHEN WE SIT ON NET AND SEE THAT NO OF TATKAL SEATS ARE REDUCING BIFOR 8 AM BUT WE R NOT ALLOWED TO BOOK BEFORE 8 AM

This is the complaint about station master & other staff of SHAJAPUR (M.P) railway station.
we had gone there at 20.09.09 at 11.30 A.M for ticket reservation. but we got there some Irregularities. our reservation did not completed. therefor we asked for complaint book but it was not given us by sub station master beside this he had done misbehave with us. station master was absent at duty time...

Indian Rail — AC didn't work for the entire journey

Hi,

We boarded 2838 Puri-Howrah Express from Puri on[protected] as per the schedule.We had our reservation at B3(Seat Nos. 17,18,20,22) which was suppsoed to be an air-conditioned coach.
But unfortunately the AC didn't work for the entire journey.We couln't sleep for the entire journey due to heat and suffocation.

I had a small daughter(just 1-yr old).She kept crying entire night and became de-hydrated.

My parents(who are aged people) also suffered a lot and couldn't know how to make the journey.The entire coach was without fresh air and oxygen.

The PNR no. for our ticket was[protected].

Persons who made the journey using th ticket were::

1. S BHATTACHARJEE - 31 -M -B3/20
2. I BHATTACHARJEE - 27 -F -B3/22
3. K BHATTACHARJEE - 71 -M -B3/18
4. A BHATTACHARJEE - 61 -F -B3/17

The other AC coaches didn't have this problem.

We requested TTE to look into the problem.Initially he assured that problem would be sorted out once train starts running.But situation didn't improve.

Inspite of spending 3-times more of an ordinary Sleeper class,we couln't get the benefit.
In the end it seemded buying a Sleepr-class ticket would have been a wiser decision.Atleast we would get natural air from outside and could sleep in that.

In rail budget 2009/10 it was announced that train no. 2556 Gorakhdham express gets extented up to Hisar, but still train not started from Hisar.
Dear Sir,
This is to bring in ur kind notice the responces o[censored]r TC in shatabdi express 2010. I am a regular traveller of this train from surat-baroda-surat. today when i went with first class ticket to the TC, he directly refused me that no seat is avaliable, i asked 2nd n he too refused. the 3rd TC gave me the seat and when i entered the compartment, i was shocked that in whole compartmant hardly 15 people were sitting. I am confussed that even if the seats are avaliable then what is the intention of TC to refuse te passanger that seat is not avaliable. And I asked him to give the complain book, he didnt gave me that also. Along with this he stated a reason that surat kota sheet is avaliable with him only and not with others. I want to ask that how come a common person will know that which TC is having which kota. Isn;t the TC should tell me which TC to meet? Is directly refusing is the correct thing?
RAILWAY IS SUFFERING COZ OF SUCH RESPONCES OF THE TC AS EVEN WITH SEAT VACCANT IN THE SHATABHI, WE HAVE TO GO VIA BUS OR TRAVEL.
kindly look the matter positively as we are be harrased by TC on vaccant seat.

Think before drinking tea while travelling by Indian Railway (IRCTC)

1.Caters use toilet water for making tea

2.Your tea is made in a special zone near toilet.

3.Bath heater is used for making tea.

I with my family were going to Howrah station from Bolpur on Santiniketan Express(train no. 2338) on[protected]. Our ticket no. was D[protected], Coach no. was C2(A.C. chair car) and my seat no. was 3. Unfortunately, the push-back system of my chair was not working & the backrest was tied to the seat with wire dangerously .Anytime the tied backrest could fall down behind and this would hurt me & the person sitting behind me. Moreover, that was a very uncomfotable journey, when I am paying nearly thrice the fare(Rs. 232/-) than the fare of general compartment. The Ticket Checker gave no importance to it, when he was shown the condition of the seat. I think the whole incident is unfair and this should be compensated and the seat should not be reserved, unless and until, it has been repaired. I think the action should be immediate.
