[Resolved]  Indian Railways — HARRASSMENT BY RAILWAY BOOKING STAFF

Dear sir,
I was issued Rly. warrant from mumbai to Delhi and back, to attend some urgent official meetings, at mumbai it was exchanged but when I went to the ticketing counter at Sarai Rohilla it was not honoured saying that since name of station written in railway warrant was Delhi to Mumbai and it was told by booking clerk that there is no rly station by the name of Mumbai hence it can not be honoured. but it is obvious that all the station (Bandra, Dadar, Mumbai central, borivali etc) comes in mumbai only. Even I met Supervisor Mr. Surender singh who also refuse to honour it saying that if we will honour it there will be audit objection . Eventhough everything was okey but they refused to honoured even the destination was clearely written. if there are multiple stations in a particular city then any of the station will serve the purpose. Due to the refusal by the railways it cause a lot of invonvienence to me. This was due to foolishness of that particular railway staff. I have faced this kind of problem in delhi only, hence i hope necessary instructions will be issued through ur good office in this regard . Thaks with regards MC LAKHERA

Indian Railways — Hiding Important information

Hi,

I am really very appalled with the service received from indian railway. I feel they have treated me like dust on their shoes. I came to know that Tatkal railway tickets are invalid without id proof, when my wife (who was travelling alone) was fined by railway employee for not carrying id proof. When she asked them that she don't know about such rule, she was told that , it is written in the ticket itself.

What a rubbish? if there is some rule without which ticket are considered as invalid, it should be printed in the ticket in BOLD, in front creating a cross in the ticket (like NO PARKING sign boards are created). I understand that it was necessary, but on the other hand the information must be conveyed in such a way that, unknown people may catch it easily. Else it is a very good way of making money from poor and innocent people.

I am really pissed off and want my money back with apologies and compensation........I hope this is enough to explain my situation.

I agree with you in some of the aspects but differ in others. Its our moral duty to read the terms and conditions related to travel or which are printed on the ticket. And tatkal scheme is so infamous that almost everyone knows the need for ID requirement. Though I agree that in ur case your wife would not have been fined as it might happen that someone genuinely does not know. But wanting to get apologies and compensation is way out of scope.
Consider an example when the train is late for more than 2 hours and as per rule someone goes to get the ticket cancelled get full refund of money. Now as per you he should say that since the rule is not written in bold and crossed way so he won't even apply for refund. (To highlight -the rule is not even printed on the ticket). So think about it and remember to read all the rules. This was a small thing like a ticket. For bank loans and insurance things making this type of claims wud lead nowhere.

I am from Khammam. The boards which will display the coatch numbers of the train are not working at Khammam, Andhra Pradesh. When we enquire about this at Khammam Station they are saying please give complaint we are unable to do it. Just on 25/11/11 when my father is travelling from Khammam to Hyderabad in Machilipatnam Express we stood at backside and the coatch comes at middle. In khammam the train stops only for 2 min which is hardly not enough so he ran to catch the coatch with his age of 75 year. So please repair the boards as soon as poosible and make the passengers happily.

Indian Railways — fine

i had booked a ticket in train no.12082/jan shatabti on 11 sep 2011(PNR NO. [protected]), from tvm to kozhikode. I had kept my boarding point at kottayam, as i was travelling by road and was thinking of boarding the train from any convenient station in between, I had paid the full rate of the ticket from tvm to kozhikode. i then boarded the train from tvm, but the TTE fined me Rs.1000/- as per receipt no. 179429 dated 11.09.11.

When i have already paid the full fare from tvm to kozhikode. I do not understand why i was fined. i request that action be taken to refund me the fined amount.

Dear sir/madam,
I would like inform to you, I SUDHIR KUMAR SRIVASTAVA had been travelled with my family, by GORAKHPUR OKHA EXPRESS on dated 20.10.2011.
During journey I had gone to pantry for taken some item, counter man give me same item, I have pay 100/- rupees, due to there was no change he told me you can take after some time. Again I went and take other items, that time also no change there he taken from other one, he has not return me, he forgotten, this is the matter, but somebody may be his name is MANOJ MISHRA inside & other one may be he is also MISHRA, restricted to counter man, he told don’t give him any item, we have no time, and suddenly come out from cabin
and my item taken from my hand, and push me by his hand, I socked, and told listen me, but without listen my word, he push me continue up to pantry gate and
tell me get out from here and don’t come again unless otherwise, I will fight you. I just complained to manager and TT, he told please avoid, he is illiterate person, but you can think this is not forgettable. I am educated person, how can I accept this type of misbehave?

I request you to take proper action for this misbehave. I am feeling very insult and disturbed for long time. So please must be take action. I am hoping, you will solve my problem.

Indian Railways — wrong deduction of charges

Sir/madam,
I, Dhiraj Singh, have booked a e-ticket in tatkal quota today on 09/12/2011 at 0800hrs and reserved the seat from Delhi to Mumbai in Golden Temple for 11/12/2011. During booking process after confirming that the seat is available I filled all details online and clicked pay button, filled bank details and clicked pay button again. Display showed that processing …….. do not refresh/press back button etc. After couple of minutes screen displayed as session expired.
But the money got deducted from my SBI A/c No.[protected], Kotdwara branch through my debit card No.[protected]. Kindly suggest me what shall I do now. The amount is deducted against the booking and ticket is not delivered to me.
It is therefore requested that the necessary action may please be taken and refund be made to my above said saving account. However I am in a dire need of the ticket, so anyhow if it is possible to deliver me the above transacted ticket, my request of refund will automatically be assumed cancelled.
I would be ever grateful for your kind and prompt action

sir we have reserved a ticket through irctc on 07/12/2011 from rajahmundry to secunderabad to date 13/12/2011. The ticket was booked with a
status of wl 10,11,12,13 and the amount of rs.676/- was paid through internet banking. Today on 09/12/2011 our ticket details were not visible in the

Indian Railways — Transaction Failed Refund

I booked 1 ticket from Balurghat to Sealdah on 12-January-2012 at 9.27 P.M. My HDFC account was debited for Rs. 372 but ticket was not generated. The site was working fine till Payment was made but System failed to display the final confirmation page.

Indian Railways — Complaint for the ticket num. 0421369596

Passengers with the Ticket no. # [protected] and PNR No # [protected] were not treated well in the train by the train staff. They were not provided with any pillow or blanket for which they are eligible.This is really disgusting because in winter they are not provided with the basic necessities(pillow and blanket) even though they are eligible for that.

Indian Railways — train tt harashment

i am here by informing you that me gurvinder singh , a student was boarding a train amritsar new delhi express from amritsar on 6:25 am but the train ia late so the scheduled time chamges to 10:30am was abused by train tt. as i am having my ticket too but still he start screaming at me and said i will let you down from the train. i was helpless as he had called a police and the police also take favour of trains tt. as i was badly strucked in that condition. he had charger me 700 for the new ticket as i was already having my ticket he says your id is incorrect as it was clearly mentioned that the is belongs to me.. you can check the reservarion made by me on 9thfeb 2012 by irctc in waititng list and then i got my ticket confirmto c1,32 and my pnr number is [protected] but still i had to pay him 700rs in order to remain on train. this is not fair. why all this governent employers instead of helping give more and more trouble to us. he said no one can make anything of him. go and make damn complain i dont care...... i want a railway department to take a strict action against the tt. today i am the sufferer tomoroww some one else will suffer. 826870 was the numbwr printed on the ticket which was issued to me after all the misfortune. i was not having that much money at that time i had to lend money from one of the passenger on the train to remain on the train. the name of tt is

Indian Railways — Twice Payment for booking of one No. Ticket

On 17/02/2012 I have booked e-ticket from Surat to Andheri for 29/02/2012 by LOK SHAKTI EXP Train No: 19144 Pnr Number: [protected] Transaction ID: [protected] but on checking i found that Rs 280/-(270+10) has been debited twice to my account against booked ticket. The amount debited in my Bank Of India A/c
So kindly refund me back the excess amount of Rs.270/- excluding bank charges of Rs.10.

Garden Reach kolkata 700024 west Bengal has reservation counter facility but when ever I visited reservation counter there was full with Tout/Unauthorised travel agent from 8 am whenever I visit to booked the railway ticket their was a rush of tatkal ticket which is made by Tout/Unauthorised travel agent / broker today 03.03.2012 at 8.10 am I visited the Garden Reach kolkata 700024 west Bengal reservation counter I saw many person are standing in line but mostly was Tout/Unauthorised travel agent / broker and their not just standing but maintain that make the ticket from their hand and can take the extra money . single Tout/Unauthorised travel agent / broker can give 5-6 reservation slip in a single time and they not need to be in line when i say about we are standing they just abuse me and threatened me in dire consequence pl help us from this my pnr no [protected] and pl send ur railways police to check if cc footage / camera is available pl see the thing how the corruption is in high in Garden Reach kolkata 700024 west Bengal has reservation counter .pl see the matter

dear sir i had booked my 3 boxes from VisakhaPatnam to Patna on 02 mar 2012. i am working in Army. After booking my box i went leave for 15 days.During my leave i went everday Patna station for my boxes but my boxes not reaching. after complete my leave i return on 17 mar 2012.i went booking staff they loading clerk on leave you will come tomorrow. the next day same answer.again i am going to next day.after passing 5-6 days the call me and say ur boxes was loaded on salimar express and ur boxes was unloaded on Kharagpur. there no train from Kharagpur to Patna accept ernakulam express. ernakulam express is passing through Visakhapatnam why my is loaded on salimar express. about 20 days have been passed i have no idea of my boxes and also condition about my box. i am suffering from such type of work, please advise me what i am do now

Indian Railways — Safety

Dear sir,

This is an incident taken place on 25/03/12 on Akola-Kacheguda intercity express. I was boarded from Basar Railway-station with my family members with a reservation ticket and it was horrible to explain the situation we faced in the train.The train is having only one reservation compartment and the seats reserved for us was occupied by some one and they are not allowing us to occupy our seats even we showed our booked ticket to them. They arguing with us and even they beaten one of our family member.The T.C came after 30min and he make us to sit on our seats. But he dont have dare to ask them ticket and even if he ask they are not showing ticket to him.This kind of roudism prevailing in Trains are not good railways and concern authorities should take an action on such activities in Trains. Then only people like us can travel safely.

Please take action and ensure safety for passengers . This is my humble request to Railways.

This is to bring to your notice that I undersign Lyplon Barretto physically handicapped had went to take out a ticket for Madgaon at vashi ticket counter No. 1 (Senior / Handicapped /Blind /supervisor /Enquiry .) on 23/4/12 at 4.30p.m .The ticket Issuer Person misbehaved / Yelled up on me & some of senior person who were standing in the Quque line . He was giving 1st preferences who just came to do enquiry & simanetaly he used to book the ticket for them . When my no. came at 6.00 p.m, when I told him to check the train availability for Mangalore Express on 14th may & OKha ERS Express for 19th May, the Ticket issuer told me directly without checking properly it is not available, He kept on cancelling in my form which was filled by me & told me to fill again & again, at last he gave me another form & told me to write for another date, I written 21st then he told that is available & he booked the same . After so much Harrasement done by a Govt . Train issuer it was really difficult for me to stand . After booking i again checked up properly on my mobile net connection train availability on 14th may & 19 th May were still there that is available of 2 seats in sleeper Handicapped Quota . I decided to cancel this ticket today & booked a fresh 1 today for 14th may & finally i got it .
Request you to kindly take up this matter seriously & take the necessary action against that Ticket Issuer present on 23/4/12 at 6.00p.m at vashi railway station at ticket no. 1 .

Indian Railways — wrongly charged

In attached ticket my PNR was [protected] show distance is 800 KM but real distance was 754 KM. I said to superintendent at ANAND Jn & in running train He say it is right & you are not railway employee further no action taken.I also complaint by PG portal on 4/4/12 but on reply on till date.

Is often noticed we are not able to book the tickets from 8:00 am to 8:35 am for tatkal
ither the site is not working or it gets totally hanged
But can see that after 8:35 am the site is working perfectly alright and all the tickets are already booked
I doubt it is done purposely ... Is it for Agents or dont know why

Indian Railways — Amenities and Cleanliness

Currently i was travelling in Karnatka Sampark Kranthi express in AC first class from Delhi to Hyderabad. My PNR number is [protected]. The compartment is like a general compartment with dirt around everywhere toren blankets and dust on the seats and very bad position of the coach. The blankets are used ones.

When i insisted for a complaint book neither the TTE or the coach attendedant gave me but just said ok.

Let railways be privatized if they cannot hanle these compartment amneties.

Very bad and i am very disappointed and would not prefer traveling again.

Request the authorities to act immediately.

I even have photographs taken of the same.
