[Resolved] Maruti Suzuki — poor services
With most grief and anguish, I am to inform you that I am a satisfied customer of Maruti & Lohiya Motors since last 2&1/2 years.
On 13.10.07 at about 7.30am I tried to start my Zen but came to know that the battery is down.
I tried to contact the service centre of Lohiya Motors, but failed.
Then I called one of the authorized mechanics of lohiya motors whose cell no. was with me & asked to check the battery and to do the needful and necessary service charges would be paid by me.
After that I proceed to Puri to attend a symposium on diabetes with a hired car
I requested the mechanic to charge the battery by Sunday evening so that I can attend the health camp at Buguda on Monday.
Unfortunately at about 11am on Monday I got a phone call from the works manager Mr. Hota and he complained me that I should have informed him instead of a mechanic in any of the break down conditions and told why I called the mechanic without his knowledge. He with very rough language told that the battery could not be installed before lunch time. Again he told me that if he would have been informed before, things would have been different. He could have replaced the battery temporarily for two days or till my battery is fully charged.
He also told that he stopped the salary of that mechanic for that day.
I could not understand where my fault lies in this situation.
Being a doctor, with all my busy schedules, I failed to contact the service center and called an authorized mechanic for the job.
For the ego problem & bossism of Mr. Hota I failed to attend the health camp at Buguda.
During the last 21/2 years I didn't face such type of misbehavior from any of the service persons of Lohiya Motors.
Again I would like to mention here that, around 2.30 pm on 15.10.07 the battery was sent to my house with a driver instead of an authorized mechanic for installation, who was inexperienced. He manipulated the wirings and left them as it is. When I started my Zen at 4.00 PM, the alarm system of the central locking along with the A/C was out of order. For which I had to move to Lohiya motors again.
I could not find Mr. Hota over there and given a verbal complain to Mr. Nayak, G.M., Lohiya motors, who is a perfect gentleman. He asked the mechanics to do the needful quickly.
It was found that the alarm system was disconnected with some manipulation of wiring system of A/C.
Mr. Hota must feel sorry for this incidence.
As he should not have reacted in such a manner to a customer, who is least interested in your internal administrative matters.
It is worthless to mention that, whose salary is to be stopped is totally under your discretion and I have little to do with this.
Again when you can not send a mechanic in proper time to my house for installation of the battery and sent a driver for the above job; it shows your sincerity, duty bound ness and respect to your customers as well to your job.
In my context workmanship is always above the personal ego and bossism .As I am just a customer and you are the service provider and all your words and works should count on Maruti Suzuki.
