[Resolved]  Mayura Jewellers — Complaint against Local Gold smith

Respected Sir,


I Sameer khan residence of Andheri east would like to bring in your kind notice and register my complaint/Grievance of cheat and fraud being done by Local Gold Smith situated at Andheri east Pump house.

I have purchased gold ornament (Bracelet) from Mayura jewelers located at Andheri East Pump House, wherein I was informed during the purchased that same is hallmarked stamped from the government of India and has 916 mentioned on it, but to my surprise when I went to sell the same ornament to the same shop after period of 2 years it was stated that same is not hallmarked Jewellary and I would be getting only 90% of the original gold value.

I would further like to bring in your kind notice that all the ornaments sited at the said shop is having mark of 916 and not hallmarked and same is being sold to the consumer by ways of misguiding and cheating.

If further investigation would be carried by your honorable department it would be brought into your notice that all the gold smith with in the said area are cheating the consumer by means of malpractices hence I request your kind intervention to stop the malpractices being followed by the local gold smith at the earliest in the protection of the consumer.
