Dear Sir,
I would like to draw your attention that I have been denied to open a Term Deposit account with your Madanpur Branch(Code no 10539) on 19.12.2012, under the following pretext which I believe is incorrect as per Banking rules.Situation due to which this grievance is being addressed is placed
below.

That I approached the dealing person of the aforesaid Branch for opening a term deposit for Rs. 32, 000.00 only and enclosed a cheque drawn on Kalyani Branch, duly crossed, ordering to payable "yourself". Surprisingly, the above instruction was observed as invalid endorsement by the dealing clerk, which in my opinion was a wrong interpretation.

Secondly, since cheque folio happens to be of earlier version, that too was not acceptable by the above Bank official. Kindly note, RBI has extended use of old cheque folios up to 31.03.2013.

Sir, may I now request you to have a thorough inquiry into the mater and advise the concerned person through Branch Manager so that he would act with accommodating attitude and does not harass customers affecting the Bank deposits.

Sir,
I am draing my military pension through your Bhiwani bank branch. The bank deduct tax at source every month but does not reflect anywhere
as to how much tax has been deducted. Consequently I am not able to see
how much is pension and how much tax has been deducted. The right thing would be to credit my full pension to account and then deduct the tax reflecting clearly.
Would u be kind enough to direct the bank to adopt the correct procedure so that the account holder knows as to how much is the pension and how much tax is being deducted from pension.

It is observed that withdrawn amount has been debited from Mode as well as from standing credit balance, causing me loss of Rs 2000.00. Complaint against SBI, Jadavpur University Branch, Kolkata-700032.
I would like to bring to your kind notice the rude treatment meted out to me by a staff of your branch. The details are as follows:
I am Dr.J.Rajan Vedasiromoni, a retired scientist of Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR), 4 Raja S.C.Mullick Road, Kolkata-700032 aged 64 years holding SB Ac no.[protected] in the name of Dr.Joseph Rajan Vedasiromoni in Jadavpur University branch of SBI. After my retirement in March, 2009, I am working in National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) situated in 4 Raja S.C.Mullick Road, Kolkata-700032 and my honorarium for every month is paid to me in the name of Dr.J.Rajan Vedasiromoni and I deposit the same in my account in SBI. Similarly last Friday[protected] I deposited the cheque for March, 2013 in my account. On Saturday[protected] someone from the bank called me in my mobile and told me that as there is some problem in crediting the cheque, I should meet one Ms.Manjula Bhattacharya in the first hour of[protected]ie.yesterday). Accordingly I went to the branch around 10-30 AM yesterday. As the lady was not present in her seat I asked the lady sitting behind who informed me that she has come and will be in her seat soon which probably was not true as I could find out later, because after another 10 minutes the concerned lady came with her hand back and her computer was not on till then. When I asked her the reason for calling me, she rudely told me that as my account is in the name of Dr.Joseph Rajan Vedasiromoni and as the cheque is in the name of Dr.J.Rajan Vedasiromoni it cannot be credited. When I asked her as to what is to be done, I was bluntly told that I should get it endorsed by a first class magistrate and resubmit the cheque. I refused to do so and requested her to cancel all the stamps in the cheque so that I can deposit it in my account in another bank. She immediately responded to my request. I then met the Assistant Manager of the branch and informed him about my predicament. He told me that from 1st April, 2013 unless the cheque is drawn in the name in which the account is there, it will not be possible to credit the amount in the account. He tried to help me out, but I refused his help as I have already decided to deposit it in another bank. Leaving the harassment undergone by me I would like to know the following:
1. As the address and mobile numbers of the customers are there with the bank, why the bank has not informed the customers about the new rule effective from 1st April, 2013?
2. Is it true that the cheque has to be endorsed by a first class magistrate? In that case it will be very difficult for elderly customers to rush to a first class magistrate every time.
3. When a customer has been called to meet a particular staff, why the concerned staff is not available in the seat?
4. Why the staffs behave rudely with elderly customers and why do they not take the help of higher officers before taking a decision
on their own unilaterally?
I have Xerox copies of the entire document like the pay in slip, the copy of the cheque with 'all stamps cancelled' at the back, etc.
If this is the way SBI is functioning, customers especially senior citizens like me will think twice before continuing their relation with SBI.
I am contemplating to take up the matter with the National Human Rights & Consumer Commission (NHRCC).
I am bringing this to your kind notice so that such things are not repeated with other customers.
sir i am a regular customer of state bank of India kapashera branch for the last 25 yrs the working condition of the bank pathetic i am 59 yrs old person stood in queue at 2;45 pm and there were eight person in front of me but you can imagine my number came at 16;15 hrs that is the working speed of your bank as per lok pal are you satisfied, and photo shows the cleanliness condition no body is there to look after hygienic condition of bank air conditioner are there but not working, may i ask you have you ever given surprise check, will you ever come out of your office to see, people are suffering but no one is bothers, this is the case i am giving you on date 22.04 13 my intention is not to hurt some one i want the bank which is pride of India should wake up and at least work like private banks hope you will take my view seriously.

I am a valued customer of The State Bank Of India, Dhakuria Branch AC No:[protected].
Me Joydeep Sarkar & my mother Mrs Manjula Sarkar are the joint holders. Manjula Sarker had applied for a card which was handed over by the Postal department after 5 months for which the PIN no was destroyed and me Mr Joydeep Sarker received a sms from SBI on 4th May that my card has been dispatched on 27th April by Speed Post no: EK[protected]IN. I checked with Post & Telegraph and found the parcel was handed over to Manipal University, and today I went to my Branch and found the card has been BLOCKED. I applied for a new one as because it is very urgent for us to get a card. My Question is why this has happened? There should be a limit of harassment. When I called the customer care no:[protected] from my mobile no: [protected] the person told me that the action will be taken by the Manager of Dhakuria State Bank but they denied to assist me. I am in a great trouble please look at the matter immediately and do the needful.

This is to draw your kind attention that I have booked a ticket from yatra on 21/06/13 through SBI internet banking and cancelled the same through online on 07/07/13.Ater that almost one and half month is over I am yet to get refund. I have lodged complain against yatra and after that yatra has send me the mail about the transaction details of refund money . After that I went to my SBI branch and lodge complain against SBI almost ten times, but no solution has been provided to me. As per mail send by yatra it is the problem of SBI bank and they have suggested to lodge complain in RBI.
Is it the service we are looking for from SBI, I have been harassed like anything. You are requested to take necessary action as early as possible.

1. Please refer your reply letter No BOPM(NW-1/cc/1690 dated 03 Nov 12.

2. I am sorry to inform you that till date it is more than three months passed your reply to Quote, ” Complaint is being looked into by us in consultation with our Regional Business Office II, Cuttack. Further advices in this regard will be sent to you shortly by them “Unquote, is yet to be communicated.

3. You may recollect this is the case of dated 20 Oct 11, 22 Nov 11 and 17 Oct 12, which took place at SBI Charbatia on separate issues. Could you expect the plaintiff is able to get justice at this belated stage? If this sort of seriousness is shown to all type of grievances, to meet your challenge, May God helps you Sir ! Is it not an eye wash? Pretending as if you are true customer friendly.

4. Firstly, it is a straight monetary loss to the customer (Postal & Net charges) related with misbehavior and harassment of your desk officer. It is the rude behavior of your desk officer that matters. A Bank Officer is supposes to be more courteous rather than dictating with aggravating language. Being the cream of educated mass this sort of behavior never and ever expected in this manner to behave with public in connection with bank transaction.

5. Secondly being a Branch Manager, he has abetted to the incident and replied in a careless approach because he knew that by the time the grievance is lodged and action initiated he would e elsewhere and in no way he and his colleague would be accountable for their act of omission and commission and that is all practically seen.

6. In view of the above, it is once again brought to your notice that matter may be taken up at appropriate level as the Branch Manager & his caretaker have insulted a Central Govt Officer, who is my husband and was representing my case with bank officer.

7. An early action is solicited.

sir, when i have applied for opening of a Retail Outlet of IOCL, that time I have submitted a credit worthiness certificate from SBI, which is sign by concern branch(champajhar, mayurbhanj, odisha) with promise that they will finance me when required, by that as i am a pensioner, i have deposited all the amount in that branch. But, when i got LOI from IOCL for opening of a new retail outlet, SBI denied to give loan, however when I have approached for SME loan to AGM(baripada, Mr. Rath) initially he behaved me in such manner, where as i am a beggar standing and without his help i can't proceed and then, he told as per RBI guidelines we can't give the loan now. so i opened all the circular of RBI, it has not mentioned anywhere. when I asked to AGM same thing he told that now our head office, mumbai ordered not to sanction any SME loan. are the oil company will wait for me? and why sir such harassment from your end. though no problems from my side but with 4 trip to AGM and 10/12 trip to concerned branch at last only disappointment. get me reply i[censored] can in my Email: [protected]@gmail.com and my M. no is [protected]
I am having an account (SB) No.[protected] & fixed deposit of Rs.7, 00, 000.00 (seven lakhs) for a period of 1 year i.e. maturing on 13.12.2013. As advised through SMS I visited my SBI branch (Dwarka Sec.11, ND 60458) requested them to renew the amount i.e.Rs.7, 25, 000.00 for a another period of 365 days (1yr.).

On the above issue the dealing officer of the branch has imposed penalty of nearly Rs.18, 000.00. When I met the Branch Manager (Mr.Neel Ratan) who is very reluctant to listen my problem. The other officials are also too uncooperative. The dealing clerk of the bank is admitting her applying the penalty provision is this case. But her mistake is due to heavy rush in the branch.

Will any responsible officer of the SBI will listen my problem and refund the deducted amount of Rs.18, 000.00. I am a senior citizen and retired government official drawing pension from the branch also. Kindly help.
