I bought a Samsung 1.5T ac from Croma Mulund sometime in 2009. Since then the original warranty on the product expired, and within days of it happening, the AC had an issue. So much for Korean quality. That aside, I felt safe in thinking that buying the croma extended warranty was a good decision, so I called the Croma warranty helpline, and was promptly assigned a warranty claim number, and told that the complaint would be responded to within 24 hours. Sure enough, the engineer in question showed up, and said that there's a problem with my wall unit's circuit board, dismantled it, and carted it away. Its been over a month of following up with Croma, the engineer in question and the agency that actually sent this person out. All I get is "Your AC will be fixed by next Monday". After 3 mondays, I stopped believing in that particular sentence, and decided to call Croma and request to talk to a manager. The manager, Mr. Bharat Natkar, told me that he was busy, and assured me that he would call back. Thank Heavens I didnt hold my breath, because that call never came. So now, I have a dud AC without a circuit board, noone at the croma's agency assigned to do the work taking my calls, and the people at Croma themselves tossing me around like a hot potato.

Is there hope at this point? I would love to take these guys to consumer court, so what are my options at this point? Please advise. Any lawyers on this forum that can assist, are welcome to contact me via email at ramprasadh at gmail dot com.

    I had purchased 3 samsung 1.5 ton split airconditioners from chroma, juhu Mumbai on 25/10/2008.I had also paid for EXTENDED WARRANTY.One of the ac has given problems from the beginning as the water drips on the bed.Samsung or tata or the ac maintenance person has not resolved it till date.The 2nd ac i was told had a gas leak & then a choked compressor.Each time a non competant technician is sent so their slate is clean but the problem remains pending under the consolation'we are looking into your problem'.I have repeatedly told them to replace the acs as their seems to be an inherent defect with them or else it could'nt take this long.
    I have been harrased enough as it has become a daily hit & trial experiment.
    I had asked for a deadline since i've been patient enough,but they are'nt equipped to give any answers but keep inconveniencing us.We are in a loop.Someone needs to take a stand & help us.Customers cant be cheated & harassed like this.I will be compelled to press legal charges on them.

      Subject:Croma Split Air conditioner-Ineffective cooling-complaint reg.

      Dear Sir / Madam

      We have purchased a Split A/C from Croma, Faridabad on 5th July 2010, which has been delivered on 6th July 2010 & installed on 8th July 2010. Since installation, a/c is not giving proper cooling. Number of times, I had called up Croma Faridabad for making complaint. On 10th July 2010, I visited Croma Faridabad and lodged the complaint physically at Customer Care Department. Customer Care Executives assured us to resolve the issue at the earliest. Then, on 11th July 2010, they send Engineers to visit our place and they checked our A/C and saying that A/c gives this much of cooling only and saying there may be problem with Stabilizer and did nothing.

      We have been calling up time & again but not getting proper response. Store Manager Ms. Anuradha, Croma Faridabad Branch assured us to send the Senior reliable Engineers at our place. On 13th July, Engineers came to our place and told us to switch on the a/c for two hours, then I will come tomorrow and see what is the problem because he himself was unable to find the fault why a/c is not giving proper cooling. On 14th July, we started a/c at 4:00 pm till 9:30 pm but no one had turned up. Since, it has been installed hardly 7 days back and we are not satisfied with the product. We want to get the A/c replaced.

      Kindly look into the matter seriously and take action accordingly. Either refund our money or change the A/c as soon as possible.

        I bought a Transcend 250GB Portable Hard Drive on 8/7/2010 at CROMA in Centre Square Mall at VADODARA, GUJARAT. I bought this portable hard drive at Rs.3499/- where as at the same cost Transcend 350GB Portable HDD is available in the market.... Actual cost of Transcend 250GB Portable HDD in Indian Market is 3100/-. Croma is claiming that the cost of Transcend 250GB Portable Hard Drive is 5000/- and its giving it for Rs. 3499/-. Please take action against these blood sucking leeches.

          I HAD BUYED A SAMSONG CORBY WITH A EMI SCHEME FOR 9 MONTH.AS THE COUNTER PERSON TOLD THAT EVERY MONTH WE WILL BE CHARGED 773 FROM MY CREDIT BUT THEY DEBITED RS.2750 IN A VERY FIRST MONTH.             I purchased a Croma branded refrigerator as a surprise gift for my parents on their anniversary. Unfortunately it stopped working five months after purchasing it. I called the customer care on 6/4/2010 and lodged a complaint and was told that I will be contacted by a technician in 48 hours. I receive a call from the technician after 48 hrs but I was not available at home so I asked him to come the next day. The tech doesn't show up and I don't even receive a call back for two days so I called the tech back and he told me that he will come and service my fridge that day. The day goes by no show by the tech. I had to call him again and had to be a little assertive this time and he assured me that he will fix my fridge tomorrow. At last after all the run around I had the tech shows up at my home and examins the fridge for almost 30 odd min and tells me that the timer went bad and he needs to get the part from somewhere and will replace it tomorrow. Again the tech does not how up. I waited for 5 days and still no news from them so I called the tech again and asked him about the part replacement and he tells that he will replace it tomorrow and the run around starts again. Even after numorous attempts, the tech still does not show up so I decided to call the store and report this issue for which they simply transfer the call to the same tech who I was talking to all these days. I got very aggrevated and strongly told the tech that if I do not get the service by tomorrow, I will have to escalate this issue and no wonder, the tech still does not show up nor I receive any call from him. Now starts my frustration and anger. I call the store and ask for a manager but for some reasons he was not available so I had to explain my whole situation to the lady who picked up my call to which she told that she will have the manager call me. Adding fuel to my anger, I don't receive a call back. So I had to call them back and even this time the manager is still not available but another lady takes my call and tells me that she is the managers assistant. I explain my whole situation to her and clearly told her that I am fed up with all this run around and I do not want any service from them but to just replace the unit. To which she said she needs to talk to the tech and find out what is the issue and promissed me a call back. To my surprise, I receive a call back from her and she tells that the technician will come and replace the part asap. I got pissed off and told her clearly that I DO NOT need any service I just want a replacement of the unit as I do not have time for all this nonsense. She told me that she needs to look into this issue and will get back to me. As usual, I do not receive a call back and I had to call them back. Some lady answers the phone and tells me that the issue has been esalated and fridge will be most probably replaced. I still do not get any updates on the replacement. So I call them back and this time was told that the replacement is not possible. I again ask for a manager and this time I get to speak to the store manager who again tells me that he needs to talk to the tech. A few minutes later I get a call from the technician and he wants to come and repair the fridge. I refuse the service and told him that I just need a replacement or a full refund for all the inconvinence that I had because if them. The tech told that there is hardly anything that he could do and asked me to call the store manager again. I call the store and a lady picks up my call and again the same drill. Today is 19 th June my fridge still does not work. This is a very bad experience that I ever had in my life and I think I made a big mistake by purchasing the refrigerator from Croma. I would definitely not buy anything from there ever in my life. I purchased a TV,a washing machine, a digital camera and a DVD player from Bajaj electronics 2-3 years ago and haven't encountered any issues with them so far. The first time I bought something from Croma and I am stuck in a very bad situation now. I want the higher authorities to look into this matter and either replace my fridge with a different brand or refund my money as I do not trust the Croma brand any more. PLEASE HELP ME

              it's just a money making racquet...we trust the TATA name and fall for it but it's been very disappointing. After a refrigertaor problem i am still waiting for a service after 17 days and not one call back from them leave alone a service visit!

              I regret putting i that extra money to buy this warranty. Sheer waste....

              initially they said 120 days, then 120 days after closure of scheme, then next month after scheme closure 6 months have passed

              shame on you TATA's and MAESTRO CARDS

                The experience at Croma Panhagutta has been the worst so far ever. The complete incompetance of the manager and lack of concern of the entire staff is so intense that words are not found.
                It has been 5 days since we made the purchase and so far it has been ...
                1. the delivery was more than a day beyond promised time ... this , inspite of repeated instructions to the sales person (Santhosh) that we are in desparate need of the fridge on time (its an extremely hot summer and i have a toddler at home )
                2. on delivery it was found that the product was not a fresh piece
                3. the delivery guys resorted to methods on trying to push the same piece by saying that it was the last piece.
                4. he did not carry the phone numbers of any of his superiors that we could speak to.
                5. the company that delivers is not owned or operated by Croma
                6. The nxt day we get delivery at 17:30 (supposed to have reached by 11am) by a auto driver who doubles up as superman ...single handed trying to lift a 300ltr fridge up a ramp and into the house on his back
                7. We accept delivery out of sheer desparation and then find the driver is not capable of giving a demo (but of course)... he says net day ...
                8. two days pass ...no demo ... we look at the instructions in the booklet (which does not carry a sealed warranty card) and the fridge just does not cool.
                9. no amount of phone calls to the 1800 number or other numbers has yielded any results
                today is 21st may 11 am ...
                The manager (Sailesh) never lifts the phone
                The showroom number on the bill is never lifted[protected]
                Is there anybody with similar problems ... the manager and the entire croma staff need to be pulled up.
                Riding on the name of a large corporate one cannot afford to mess with the customers so blatantly and shamelessly.
                P.s. this experience is not my first with croma ...earlier i had a slightly troubled purchase of a cell phone ... but i put it aside as a one-of event.

                  I purchased a refrigerator and an Air-conditioner from the Croma Store in Gurgaon on Monday, 10th May. Whilst the A/c arrived in acceptable condition, the refrigerator was damaged on delivery.
                  I called the personnel at the store, a day later on Wednesday, 12th May, and demanded an explanation, to which I got an unsatisfactory technical excuse, which tantamount to not accepting responsibility for a manufacturing defect. No Croma personnel called me in the meantime to offer an apology and re-assurance that the product would be delivered soon without a hitch.

                  I received a replacement refrigerator on Wednesday, which was again damaged. I went to the store and met the store manager, who offered his apology and economic compensation, which I declined. Instead, I acquired the contact details of Avinash Pereira, designated personnel based in Mumbai. I was assured that the product would be checked for defects and delivered to me at the desired time.

                  Last evening, I reached home well in time to receive the product, which didn't turn up at the time promised. Following this, my wife contacted the store personnel several time, who weren't able to offer a solution, and, after some time, stopped taking our calls. I contacted Avinash, who managed to get the store manager to call me.

                  What ensued is the most blatant abuse of a consumer's rights to reliable and trustworthy service from an organisation the size and stature of Tata Industries.

                  During the course of the conversation, the store manager shouted at me with unsavoury expressions such as "Who the hell do you think you are? Have you bought the entire Croma store?" and some more.

                  I am yet awaiting a resolution to this matter, which I was assured of by Avinash.

                  Hi, I too had an almost similar experience with a croma store in J.P Nagar Bangalore. I Purchased a Bosch 6.5 Kg washing machine with the croma store and was promised delivery the next day.
                  When the unit was brought to my door i found to my dismay that the bosch washing machine was packaged in a damaged seimens box.
                  I then asked how a bosch washing machine was in another company's packing to which no satisfactory explaination was given.
                  I then realized that croma had actually packaged the machine they had for demo purposes from one of their stores and sent to me.
                  The call centre did not provide any form assistance or help. The store manager was blunt and did not offer any appology or did not try to explain how the machine could be packaged in a compititors packaging.
                  Hence i cancelled my order with croma and have now placed my order with Viveks in J.P. Nagar.
                  To my suprise, i found out that croma charged me 500 rupees more. Viveks gave a 1000 rupees discount as well as some free goodies worth about 2500 rupees.
                  I advise all readers to avoid croma stores since these guys over charge for the products they sell and also treat customer's like garbage.
                  I suggest you try walking to a smaller store since they will provide you with a better deal and also provide you with a better quality product.

                      I have bought LG products from CROMA AUNDH PUNE. Till then it was fine. Installation of these products is done by LG. These is an absolutely painful process . LG people will not call you back , will never call , will not com on time ... or may not even come. When I called up CROMA people they assure that LG guys will call within some time ...and again they never call you. It has been almost two weeks , I have the stuff @my home AC and Ref ...but its just there. I feel like returning the products. Do not buy any products with so much headake.

                          i purchased one vaccum cleaner from chroma Rohini vide bill no.[protected] on 29/11/2009 along with extended warranty of 2 years.

                          after 4 month i start using the product vaccum cleaner .5L 1000w AV 0029 and within thirty minutes of operation it failed .

                          i tries to contact the phone no. given on the bill[protected] which keeping hold for more than 30 minutes and at last no response.

                          then i tried the no. given for extended warranty [protected] - not useful as it worst then earlier it keep in waiting and then cut - unwanted expenses to customer to call.

                          it seems that i was cheated wwhen the nos are not in operation how they will support the extended warranty the computer bill become light and within one or two month nothiong readable they haven't given any cerificatge for extended/normal warranty.

                            With utmost regret and pain I am highlighting the sequence of event which happened to me (and customer like me) which is diluting the brand image of TATA. I don’t believe in my wildest dream that this could happen under TATA group of companies.

                            I purchase a CTV LG 21” & Tata Sky from croma retail store Mount road, Chennai on 02 April. Delivery date was 03 April however; I still don’t have TV with me....

                            We have purchased a split a/c from Croma on 6th June 2009, since installation no service is being done. Recently from the a/c water was dripping, we thereafter lodge a complaint on toll free number [protected] ant complaint no.[protected] dt. 22nd March 2010.


                            After through follow up, a personnel from National Aircon came, but did nothing , he said there is some major problem do not use the a/c till rectified.

                            Again after calling up toll free number it is constanstly repeating the mesage we will call you back please leave the mesage and phon number - but no response – We have been calling them National aricon from day one by they keep on dodging from post to pillar by giving different name and number . Are these people making a fool of the consumer


                            The fact according to me is that the a/c installed might be problem, since they do not want to replace they are making fuss over the thing.

                            Sir, May I request you to kindly intervene and give me a suitable suggestion of direction on how to proceed futher, let them give me the money i have spent for purchase of a/c and take away this a/c.

                              I purchased an AC from Crome Aditya city centre and this was my big mistake. Whole amount was given to croma on wed 24/mar/2010 and after this they inform us that AC is not available in stock and would be delivered to you on sunday 28/mar/2010. But we don't get the AC and not even a response from croma. When we call them they make foolish statements and make another bluff promise of delivering AC on Wed almost after 1 weak but again same treatment. After all this mess we gave a call to them and said that we will now involve police and take legal action against croma. So after this we get AC but no instalation was done by them and no stablizer was given to us which was promissed as free at the time of payment. this all was like worst nightmare for me and my family.
                              Same thing happen to me too. i ordered AC from croma mount Road branch Chennai. i have made the full payment 27th March 2010. they promised me for the delivery on 29th before 5 PM. today date 16th April 2010. not yet got the delivery. all falce commitment and saying lame reasons yearend closing, transport issue and other. still i am talking to them. same false commitment. i think they will deliver after summer..
                              this is worst experiance for me from croma.
                              its too bad services over croma, i have buy ac from devarc sg highway, ahmedabad, croma i suppose to call for knowing my delivery date for ac they even nt pickup phones and, if theres goes ringing then they will cutted down phones and again coming on waiting state.. its too horible telephonic services over alll croma stores
                              I have the same experiance from Chroma Gurgaon. Purchased LG washing machine which is not delivered even after two days and the only response fromm Chroma is yes they wll deliver. SHAME ON CHROMA and SHAME ON Mr. RATAN TATA
                              First of all, Croma - TATA service worst than anything.
                              I have purchased LED TV and Refrigerator from (Croma) Star Bazar- another TATA Worst Enterprise. They didnt deliver TV and Refrigerator on time but after a series of calls they have delivered but a old one with scratch.After complaining they took back and agreed to repalce with new one on another day. Its being 5 days now, there is no call nor update and no Refrigerator. I called croma service desk several times and the executives and floor supervisors and good in playing with customer. They are not ready to escalate after 5-6 calls even not transferring to the manager.(No use even all belongs to Coma - TATA, Indias worst enterprise). Now i am forced to go to consumer court against all these people.
                              So if anyone read this please please please dont buy anything from Croma or TATA as the people works there screw your life...
                              They are very stupid people, and giving false commitments to the customers...

                                I have Purchased a Digital Camera from Croma Malad center he has given me the wrong information about the camera and the service.

                                I have received duplicate rechargeable batteries from Croma Malad center I have given the compliant to Croma Malad center but he is not giving me the proper response as my frnds hope you will help me.

                                  I have purchased CROMA microwave oven (20L SOLO - CRM2024) from Infinity Showroom in Malad (E), Mumbai on 21st Feb 2010. On 5th March the Oven stopped functioning and we called back the customer care executives who were themselves unaware abt the contacts of the Servicing dept and finally provided the contact of demo & installation team who in turn redirected us with the correct contact of the repair & servicing team. The technical guy detected that the magnet roll is not functioning so he has to replace the same but wud return after 3 days and there is no contact from him after that. When called the repairs & servicing toll free number the lady Ms. Ramya asked us to wait till afternoon because after which she wud be able to give a proper update on the availability of the magnet roll but no contact from her till yesterday. I am very disappointed with the custome service as well as the product because in case if they are unable to provide me the magnet roll then they shud replace the oven immediately.

                                    I have bought a lenovo net book from Ahmedabad croma devarc mall, vide bill no.[protected] dated 21/12/2009, they offered a scratch card on paisa back scheme, I got 3% cash back on this. Croma asked me to submit all the proofs. I have sent all those to their chennai office. Later enquired about my bank IFC code. That also submitted through reply mail during feb-2010. Sofar they didn't responded back. we do not have any contact numbers of them to contact their chennai office. No call centre number. No mail ID response.

                                    Even my experience is the same. I was promised 3% off on a scratch card but have not yet been returned the amount by cheque. They have provided me with a contact number and trying to get in touch on the same.

                                    I got the promised 3% cash back by cheque delivered to my home. You can phone up their call center to speed up the process.
                                    I got the cheque and received the amount after lodging complaint in this website, they even followed up on warput up basis.
                                    croma ahmedabad charged rs 1650 from me for additional one year warranty of Hp laptop but this warranty was not registered at Hp. When my lap top had problem, no one took the responsibility
