I bought a CROMA laptop in MARCH'09 with a promise from the stores personnel that this is the cheapest and the best in its category. On starting the machine, I faced numerous problems - right from the machine not starting up, displaying many colors on start up, no blue tooth functioning, laptop not getting connected to my company LAN, when connected to TATA INDICOM dialer - laptop crashed etc. After three months of consistent follow up the company agreed to replace the laptop with a NEW (same CROMA) laptop. The new machine also had starting problems, but the store personnel confirmed that its fine and will resolve itself. Than again the laptop started giving trouble. The stores person again agreed to replace the LAPTOP with an ACER laptop. But to everybody's surprise, the brand new ACER LAPTOP did not START. I registered an official complaint (before which I had only emailed my complaints to them with no response). Today after 5 months of my complaint and after one exchanged laptop, I still have not heard from CROMA's bosses as to what they intend to do. The stores personnel have expressed their inability blaming the TOP of not taking a decision and there is no response from the top. Incidentally, I purchased another similar laptop after two months of my purchase, thinking that the problem was with something else. Now I have TWO CROMA defective laptops, with no response from CROMA. please help me.

Croma Laptop — Defective Laptops

Croma laptops are inherently defective and after following up for 4 months, they gave me a replacement - which is still defective. Also they have advertised (and also provided a button) for BLUETOOTH inbuilt in the CROMA laptops. But the laptops do not have BLUETOOTH in them.
I HAD PURCHASED A NEW LAPTOP FROM CROMA OBEROI MALL BUT SINCE THAT IT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, I HAD APLLIED FOR REPLACEMENT TO SUPERIOR STAFF OF CROMA BUT THEY ARE NOT READY TO CHANGE IT.
THEY ARE SAYING GO TO SERVICE STATION BUT Y SHUD I GO THEIR WHN I PURCHASED FROM CROMA STORE.

I have purchased transcend hard disk, but after i powered it on, wondered some sound are coming aroung. Then i have raised customer complaint, but no body responded. I went to stores, but still the same service. I advise other not to buy products from Croma Stores.

For TATA it may less money, but for me it is huge. I really dissappointed that how indian companies works.

I have purchased a Glen - Cook Top - Four Burner gas Stove from Croma, Malad Branch, Mumbai.
I got the delivery after two weeks and it was not installed for a period of one month after 8 complaints. And finally, it was installed by an executive saying that they do not istall and have done this just because of the complaints.
We found a gas leak for the stove and informed the same. They say i have to take to the servicing center. When i have not used the stove and given the complaint that there is a manufacture defect, they ask me to take it to the servicing center. When taken to servicing center, they say that the pipes need to be replaced and will be charged for the same. When not used, why the hell on this world should i pick a new product for the store and then get it repaired with extra expenses from my pocket inspite of not using for a single day.
Croma Boasts of the quality of the products and price. Better to pick the goods in the gulley for half the price and demand service from them.
Am confused and need justice .. Where and when i can get .. Only God knows...

I have even seen them selling a laptop which i returned because of battary not getting charged
I have been made a fool also, but in CROMA's own brand. Did you know that CROMA is manufactured by ZENITH computers and that the laptop crashes anytime. There is no Bluetooth (though the floor executives say contrary), nor does the laptop functions properly in a network environment. I have exchanged the laptop once and still have a problem - with a brand new CROMA laptop. 3rd August'09

I have purchased a Laptop computer model No. Lenovo N/B G430 4152C2Q Sr.No. EB12334701 Inv. No. 59339 dtd. 17-07-09 from the retail shop ‘Croma’, Vadodara.

It has been observed that, right from the date I have purchased the said Laptop I am facing some problems with it. It gets hung at times; functioning speed is slow although it is the latest version ‘Vista home basic’.

I had placed a complaint through your online customer care service toll free no. [protected] complaint ref. no. L97R003T, L97V0128 & Complain no. L98B0113 dtd. 10-08-09. I went to the dealer M/s. Croma and they sent me to the Lenovo Service Centre Baroda but the problem could not be solved.

You are requested to please look into the matter at the earliest as it is hampering my work. All of the above creates a lack in customer satisfaction.

I bought a Hitachi split AC from them last year. Their installation started creating problems from day one. On repeated calling and visiting their showroom they send a guy in about 10 days, who was unable to correct the problem. Finally they sent another guy after 15 days who found a fault with the installation work. This year again the voltage stabiliser I bought from them got bust, I went to there show room, . After a lot of haggling they finally changed it a old repaired one.
Highly substandard service and installation, low quality products (stabiliser). Avoid Croma, try to buy from a company authorised retailer.

If there is one thing Croma store does not lack in its staff...they are everywhere talking, laughing, discussing lunch or gossiping. If they do notice you, they arrive in packs by your side. Croma staff works only in groups it seems. We went there to buy a pedestal fan, can't get simpler than that! We were shown one crompton greaves fan by three semi-efficient sales people. It took two of them to turn on the fan and one to say that "that's all we have". I spotted an Usha pedestal fan, still in its box by my feet. It was a discovery of great surprise to the attendant staff "We had that???!!!" We asked the price. It was about a hundred bucks more expensive than the next door (mariginally more efficient) store. I mentioned that. There was commotion. Three more floor staff were called for consultation. "Ok, I will ask my manager" said the sales gal and sauntered away. She was in no hurry. The rest of the half a dozen people around asked (one by one) if we wanted extended warranty. "No Thank, you". Cut to approx 7 minutes later, the sales girl appeared and asked me to accompany her to the next door store. She wanted to verify if I was telling her the truth!!! and wanted me to go with her!!! Never heard of such a thing. Either you sell it at the price quoted or you dont. In the mean 20 more minutes had passed, our fan had been dragged listlessly to the cash register (at one point I asked if the gal needed help carrying the fan to the counter (because by this time her back up guys had conveniently disappeared. All the dragging across 40 ft of space was for nothing, because there was no one at the cash register. Someone was summoned, who had to then summon someone else. Lots of whispering and shuffling ensued. After 20 minutes of hemming and hawing, I asked for the manager. The staff shaking in fear, pointed to a guy who was ...yes chatting...with another person by the gate. The manager came, made some appropriate noises, asked the billing guys to get cracking. You would have thought he'd stay till the transaction is complete, seeing that we made for some rather unhappy customers. No. The gentleman disappeared to the back before we could say "croma !". Seriously, this has to be the saddest state of affairs. The sales people are well meaning youngsters who have not been taught to value their work, time or effort. They are there biding time and wasting ours. If the manager is anything to go by, the inspiration definitely isn't flowing top to bottom. A very sorry excuse for customer service. Shame on Tatas for running such a shoddy show.

I had purchased an HP laptop from Croma in Oct 2008. The sales guys at the shop told me that I would get 2 free gifts with this purchase - (1) Bluetooth device to connect amplifier to PC and (2) Bag

To my disappointment, when I went to the HP site, the offer did not exist. When I reached out to the store, they ignored my issue for quite sometime till I personally vivited the store. Some promises were made by the staff there - Mr.Soumil

However, there was never a call back or any response. I have made at least 4 calls and 2 personal visits but to no avail. Now they tell me that the free gifts cannot be provided!

I had also submitted my complaint on their website which is supposed to go to Mr.Ajit Joshi. But the response was an automated one and presumed that the matter is resolved! My complaint reference no is 101/050409/Notebooks/4297

The optional free gift was a digital camera. They are not ready to provide that either. I am very disappointed that TATAs could provide this kind of service.

                      Hi Everyone reading this post,

I wanted to share my experience with Croma Retail at Hyderabad. I purchased a Samsung 26" LCD TV from their store in Jubilee Hills and after much follow-up the TV was delivered to my home address. Samsung technician installed the TV 2 days later.

Within 24 hours of installation the TV malfunctioned (the picture would become black and lines will come on the LCD screen). I contacted Samsung customer service and the technician came and inspected the TV and said there is some problem with main PCB (printed circuit board - basically the heart of the TV).

Calls to Croma are very difficult to get through and whenever they lift the call they say they will verify with Samsung and call back (which by the way they never do).

I had bought the TV from Croma retail because of the TATA brand name, but I guess TATA's have turned out to be just like others.

I bought a Sony Vaio Laptop from Croma store in koramangala Bangalore. While making the purchase I was told that if I use the HSBC credit card I will get 5% cash back in my next monthly statement. The value of the puchase was Rs.50, 000/-. I was suppose to get Rs.2500/- as cash back. The amount was confirmed by the sales people at the counter. But when I got my next statement from HSBC there was no credit (cashback) given. I called HSBC customer service, first they said they are not aware of any such offer. After giving them all the details they came back and said that the cashback offer is only for Rs.1000/- (maximum) and it will be credited only in my June 09 statement.

If this was the case I would have bought the Laptop later or from any other store. I feel they gave me wrong information knowingly/willingly to induce purchase. I trusted HSBC and Croma both of them together or 1 of them have cheated.

Anybody has got the same experience?

Iam planning to go to Consumer Court and claim the damages occurred.

                        Hi,
This time in Dec 2010 croma giving 5% cash back offer but please read all terms and conditions carefully B'coz eventually when i was browsing debit cards offer for few banks which debit card i hold.In axis bank debit card offer clearly mentioned that cash back offer is "up to 5%" not flat 5% also if i buy[protected] rs value then i will get 500rs cash back only. And that also till 31 Dec invoice not after that :)
one will get back after 120 days from the day of purchase...same case with me, i have purchased acer laptop on feb9th and i guess the calculation comes out to be @9th june...so lets seee whether my account will be credited or not!!!

Having decided to buy 2.1 Speakers for a PC system, I surveyed a few different shops then had approached Croma. The first thing that happened was, when I was trying to decide on which speakers to buy, not only were the sales reps loitering around, but they had decided to play music full volume disregarding the customers. I didn't mind that, felt it was just a little fun. But it got ridiculous when I was still trying to hear the speakers I was listening to, and the sales reps were telling me to reduce the volume so they can listen to music.

Eventually, I chose the Iball Tarang 2.1 and purchased it. 1 week later I began to notice that the right side speaker was of considerably lower in volume than the other... Something I had obviously overlooked, but it happens. Testing the input and output, I find that the fault was actually with the connective cable.

I called up Croma in Bangalore (Brigade Road), spoke to a rep named Balakrishna, who told me to bring the cable and he will replace it if it is faulty. I did so... Yet when I arrived at Croma, the story changed. They informed me there is no warranty/liability for the cables.

I informed them that this not a warranty issue (that is, no product has malfunctioned), but rather an issue of them having sold me a product with a faulty accessory, to which they surely must bear responsibility.

What the sales rep decided to do, after much discussion among themselves, was to take the cable from me and give me an old, used cable that's supposed to do the same job. They said that is all they can do for me. When I asked them about the warranty period for the Tarang, they didn't know, but proceeded to tell me different period times, one said, "six months", another said, "one year", another said, "two years."

I would have thought if they don't know the answer to something, the best thing to do would be to verify it first so that they do not misinform the customer. What is the state of customer service these days?

When I returned home, I decided to send an email to Iball Tarang themselves - who immediately told me that they would be happy to replace the faulty cable with a new piece, and to bring it to them.

This is where it gets really appalling! I called Croma and asked to speak to Balakrishna who had been handling the issue from the beginning, and explained that Iball has agreed to replace the faulty cable with a new piece. You know what Balakrishna replied?

"I'm sorry, we have sold the cable to another customer."
I was aghast, "A faulty cable?"
                          "Yes."
"How can you sell a faulty cable to another customer? It doesn't even work properly! Why would you even sell it?"
"Sorry, cable is no longer with us."

At which point, disbelieving the nonsense I was being fed, I made an issue and he told me he will have to go into new stock and give me a new cable. I again caught an auto to Croma (I think I spent around 200 rupees total simply trying to fix this issue), and he told me that he has found my faulty cable! Then took the old piece they had given me as replacement, and gave me my cable back.

Thankfully I took it to Iball and had it replaced.

It seems Croma is becoming reputed for such horrible customer service. They should change their slogan from "we help you buy" to "we aim to frustrate". Now, I am hesitant to ever step into a Croma shop again.

Is the CEO of the company asleep?

The Staff has no knowledge about their store, they don't communicate to each other, they don't answer properly but one thing they all do, that is to say the word "SORRY".

It is one of those rare days when you go to a store to buy a bunch of electronic products on a single day.
Today was one such day. Given these tough economic times, stores must be working harder to convert fewer footfalls into sales, or so you think. Read my experience in the Croma Store on Linking Road, Mumbai today.

I wanted to a buy the following things:

                            An all-in-one printer
                            A Monitor
                            A Wet grinder
A Portable Air conditioner that I have seen earlier.

Before going to the bay where they had the printers, I looked at the Mobile enclosure to have a look. There were two guys there and I asked to see the Apple iPhone. These guys were in the world of their own. They didn't hear me. They didn't even ask the customary questions 'may I help you'. Since a mobile phone was not my agenda I moved on but amused at the indifference these guys were showing.

My experience in the Printers bay was good, although I had to wait for sometime before the concerned person could reach me. His name was hemant, he gave some good advice and I quickly zeroed in on the product I wanted.

                            My Decision: Buy

Next is Monitors, and buying them could be tricky. I wanted to know what the aspect ratio was on the monitors on display. No had any clue. How does Samsung 19" compare to a Viewsonic 19". No clue. They pointed me a Dell person who had no clue either. All he said was I should book it online, which I think everyone knows.

                            My Decision: Not to buy

Then I moved on to the Wet Grinders. The person here was the most useless. When I asked for a wet grinder, he asked/said 'Mixer? I went around few aisles and I found the Wet Grinder. A Maharaja Whiteline. There are two options 1.5 and 2 ltr. I wanted the 2 ltr. And then I saw that there were optional 'Atta kneader' and 'Coconut Scraper'. I asked them does optional mean I should buy them and if so from where. Now this man had no clue what I was asking. Simply because he wasn't even reading the packaging on which this was mentioned. Then we asked for the Maharaja contact person's number. He went and brought the card and was happy to have us go. We called the Maharaja guy and after many calls he said that we need to buy them separately and they will have them delivered to our home. So, even though the sales person was useless, we decided to go ahead, since we needed on badly.

                            My Decision: Buy

This is the final piece. The Portable Air Conditioner and a clincher.

There was only one in the store and it was on display. I requested them to bring it down so we could have a closer look. They didnt appear too keen to do that. But they finally got it down.
We discovered that it has a single hose pipe that takes the hot air away. Now this means that we need to keep a window/door partially open to let the air out. Our concern then was would it cool the room enough then. Concern No 1.

There is a side attachment to it that collects the water. Neat. But how often do we have to empty it.
If it is once in a day or even twice in the day, it is ok. But what if I have to do it every two hours o[censored]se.
Pretty dumb right. I asked them about it. They said "itna nahin hoyega". They didn't sound convincing to me. I asked them did they use the unit to see its performance. No. So whatever they were telling me is at most a calculated guess. I didn't want to buy a product worth RS 17000 on somebody's guess work.
                            That was Concern No 2.

I asked does the store have a return policy. No they don't have. I then asked if they could call a customer who has bought it before and ask them if they'd like to talk with me about the aircon. They said their policies don't allow them to. I didn't get that. As a customer, yes I would be annoyed if the store gave my number to someone. But if they called themselves and asked me, I will either say yes or no. But no the store wouldn't do it.

Then we spoke to Karim, the second in charge, or so he said about the situation and that we want to be convinced about the product. He said all the customer satisfaction surveys were already done and they have been selling this chinese product for 3 months without complaints. May be true but when you don't get answers to your basic queries you are in doubt. When we expressed the same thought to him, he said - "then don't buy". Splendid advice. I cursed myself for not getting this thought earlier.

When you type in Croma in Google, this is the first result you see..

"At Croma, well-trained store advisors, who have an in-depth knowledge of the products, guide, advise and help you choose a product that's just right for you ..."

you only have to go to the store to see how specious this claim is. And to top it this is a Tata Enterprise

So here is the ending of the story. I took Karim's advice. Not only for the aircon but also for those that I decided to buy from Croma. That was one and half hour of a beautiful day spent quite uselessly in Croma.

                            advice.

When Iasked then one of them came and said dekh lo and i asked home delivery, he told no .i wanted to check out the cooler he said no...then I asked about portable ac .he said it is out of stock..
these guys are rude, have no knowledge.Never expected such a response from a tata enterprise

well, everybody has their own way of judging things and that depends upon the experience they had..as far as my experience with croma ahmedabad goes, i am pretty satisfied with the same..i bought sumo air cooler and bajaj food processor. the staff was more than happy to help us out in zeroing the products, good product knowledge and also they assisted us in getting the home delievery, confirming the convinient timings and top of it, even calling before half an hour to reconfirm our suitability, , dont know about the after sales services as so far they are not required, but net net, TATA CROMA has met upto my expectations in ahmedabad and baroda as well, , , , mandar
You said this portable ac is a chinese product. Thanks for your information. When I went to Croma store last week, at Eva Mall, Bangalore, I was really doubtful about the product's quality and effectiveness. Hence I asked the store person whether this product is anyway related to voltas? The sales advisor said,
"This product is actually from Voltas, and it is reliable, after all this from TATA. The name is 'Croma' so that it can be sold at a cheaper rate." I know Voltas is a reliable brand of TATA and I do already have a 1.5T split Voltas AC. Why do stores do not convey authenticity of a product to consumer...Why should I pay Rs.17990 for a chinese product. LG, a more reliable one, has a similar product at a higher price and I would like to go for that.
I complete agree on the abominable service in Croma. I went to Croma in Vashi yesterday to pick up a portable AC. Not only wasn't anybody interested in atttending to me and finally when the sales person turned up he told me the mobile AC has a hitachi compressor and in the last two years they haven't had a single complain. Thanks for let me know the mobile AC is a chinese one.
they dont have anything to give you more info - no brochure ...? is there a warraty?? i checked the ac as well - the staff did not know anything...!!!
                            Hi,

I wonder if there are actual buyers of this product reading this forum? We had a portable ac in the US and it was wonderful during the summer. The portable ac we saw in the Croma store looked so much like the one we had in the US, we were about to buy it then and there. About it being a Chinese product - EVERYTHING in the US down to the littlest dolls that children play with is made in China. So, Im not surprised that this is made in China too. However, I want to know whether the Croma brand and after sales service is good?

And nothing compares to a review from an actual buyer. Does anyone have any complaints with the product?

                            thanks
Hi all, it is greatfull to advise me, i am planning to purchase croma portable AC, is it worth to pay 18000, and any one sujjest the benifit and problems form the Croma AC
Hi all, I have bought that portable AC and I swear it is in terms of cooling.I have been using it for 3 moths there is no water issue. But the main issue is with cooling, it take days togeather to cool a small room.I got Rs.4000 as electricity bill.Jeevan Kanth
I have bought a portable air conditioner from CROMA PUNJAGUTTA, HYDERABAD in May 2011. The sales person told me that the product can be exchanged with other product if I was not happy with the performance. The AC does not cool beyond 25% . I have complained innumerable times on the helpline and also personally went to the store and informed them. They exchanged the AC but still no improvement. Then they sent the service person, he comes and checks whether it is switching on or not and goes back and informs that it is working in perfect condition !!! They dont even wait to see how it is working

So it appears I have an air cooler which also makes a lot of noise( for the price of 4 air coolers, cost me Rs.20, 000 wheras a good cooler will easily come in Rs.5000/- ) And all this because I believed in the name of TATA AND HAD FAITH IN THEM which of course turns out to be a MYTH !!!. Will approach the Consumer forum for the same. Have decided never to shop in Croma again nor allow anybody else who I know to do so.

Anybody thinking of buying it should not do so, you will be landed with a product which does not function effectively. AVOID !!!

ATTENTION– Nidhi (Store Manager), Croma, Koramangala, Bangalore
I purchased a Toshiba Fridge (614 lts) from Croma in January. It was bought at a discounted price as the salesman (Daniel) said that it was the last piece in the store and also that it had a few dents on the body. I asked Daniel to switch on the fridge to check if it was actually working. In about 5-10 minutes after the fridge was switched on, it started cooling and I told him that he could now switch off the fridge and pack it up for delivery to my house. The fridge was delivered after 2 days even though the initial promise was that it would be delivered within 24 hours. But then it was ok as they said that the warehouse folks were on a holiday or something on those lines. I didn’t bother too much on the delay.
Three days after I took delivery of the fridge, the Demo guys from Toshiba came to take down the serial number of the fridge. I told them that the fridge was not cooling enough. They told me that they were sent just to do the demo and that for any technical issues / complaints I should call up Croma customer care. To confirm if the fridge was really cooling as it should be, I kept a box of ice cream in the freezer overnight. My fears were confirmed when the box of ice cream i had kept in the freezer melted and was now all over the freezer. I immediately called up the Croma customer care and spoke to Sheena. She took my complaint and promised to send the Toshiba service guys to my house the next day. Sadly, it took 1 week and numerous follow-up calls to Croma to get the service guys to come and check the fridge. They checked the fridge and Sunil (one of the service guys) informed me that the PCB and the Freezer fan were faulty and that it had to be replaced. I told him that since the fridge is hardly 2 weeks old, I want a replacement fridge and not just the parts. He gave me the cell number of Govindan (Toshiba Regional Manager) and asked me to speak to him. I have been trying to contact him since that day but sadly my calls always go unanswered.
I called up Croma again and spoke to Sheena about the replacement. She told me that they will speak to Toshiba guys and let me know. This exercise has been going on for over a month now. Today, a customer service representative calls from Croma and tells me that they don’t have the exact model, but that I can pick up any other model available in the store. Let me make it clear to you once again as I have done many times in the past - I DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH CROMA ANYMORE, so choosing another model from your store is completely out of the question. My patience is running out now and I definitely need a closure to this problem SOON.
I am giving you two options – 1. Replace my fridge with a new one (exact same model) 2. Take back the fridge and refund my money.
If Croma does not agree on either of the above two options, I will be left with no other choice but to take legal action and file a complaint against Croma in the consumer court.
                                Regards,
                                Zac

                                  To whom who may convern:

My name is Gianfranco Di Bonaventura and I am the Managing Director of an IT Company based in Pune. I have bought a nokia E71, ( 20, 199 INR) from CROMA, and I have received a really bad custom service from the Shop. The mobile had some defects, and after only 3 days I went back to the shop in order to ask for a replacement. The staff there game differnt version on their policy on replacements and still I have not resolved my issue. I am a good customer, and I spend but at the same time I expect a service from the seller. The Croma store is not knowing what customer service is and I am surprice that a provider like Nokia is having a dealer like them.

I Will keep going on this issue and use all the people I know In order to make them feel what a customer which has suffered can do.

                                  Thanking You

I am also sick and tired of calling these Croma rascals and I assure you guys at Croma that you will have a very hard time when I'll eventually park myself at Croma center come this weekend. My new Vdeocon LCD has burnt and neither Videocon nor Croma has been helping me out. The most absurd thing that I have come across is when I call the Croma center from where i've made that purchase, they disconnect the call post the Internal Voice Recording gets over and the call connects. They just pick the phone and disconnect. My Gosh!! this is a Tata enterprise for you... the standard of this customer service is poorer than I guess anything that I've cum across in my life. I wish them all the failures for frustrating a customer so so much. They will pay.

Today was the first day I went to Croma in Krome, Sopan Baug, Pune. Needless to say the experience was horrendous and a complete waste of time - in true TATA style.

I called last night, before arriving at the store...I had seen a Yamaha RXV 459 at the Delhi store during my visit there, and enquired about its availability in Pune(since I live in Pune). The Store checked up the stock and told me I could visit at Pune and pick up the piece. Last night when I called a lady(Ashwini) informed me that the piece was indeed available and would be handed to me at a list price of INR 7990/-. I booked it in my name and told them I would pick it up personally in the afternoon.

I made it all the way to the store only to be harrassed by the store employees - someone named Mahesh Kapanchi(or something like that), and the store supervisor Imran.

First they told me there was NOTHING like RXV 459 available. Then they took almost 10 minutes checking their console for the availability when the piece was lying right in front of them!!
When I told them my friends in Delhi had bought the piece at Croma, and had recommended I pick it up for myself as well, these gentlemen conjured up a combination of the RXV and added a lot of junk speakers(I dont remember which brand) and offered me a 'package' worth INR 30, 000, when the RXV was just INR 7990!! i told them I only bought Yamaha speakers and I already had them, so won't be interested in the 'package' - to which Imran told me that they would not be looking to sell the RXV singly, unless I bought the other add-ons...incidentally the add-ons are not even part of the box pack - its just something that the Croma people are trying to palm off to you to increase their flagging sales.
These gents even went to the extent of telling me that if Croma Delhi was offering the piece singly - I was most welcome to go there and pick it up!!!
On visiting the Croma website one is treated to the CEO's message which says:

Croma is focused on understanding your needs and meeting them in a manner that delights you. Consumer Electronics shopping can be quite a challenging experience due to the wide variety of choices and the technical complexities of electronics products. Making the right choice in such a scenario is essential but difficult. We will be your friends in this process by understanding your needs and suggesting and demonstrating all suitable options. We will help you buy.

Quite an example, i must say, that the store boys are bringing the CEO's message alive in truest form. Anyway I went to a couple of blogs and found that this kind of treatment is meted out with utmost regularity to many customers across the country with breathtaking consistency.

I am copying this mail to some Tata senior execs in the hope that this catches light. I am also copying it to NDTV. I hope this incident catches light and Tata management shapes up this slum-hole before their pathetic customer service drives them to bankruptcy, just like some other Big Corporate houses I know about :)

RE: ASUS PDA P527 Purchased on 25th March 2008 from CROMA, Pune - Solapur Road, Hadpsar

Just after our purchase of the captioned ASUS PDA, CROMA found the instrument defective, sent it for repair, which could not be repaired. We had got the ASUS PDA instrument exchanged from CROMA on 10th May 2008 after my interaction with the top officials of ASUS. Since then the instrument was working with intermittent disorder and sometimes there were difficulties in certain services. Inspite of getting a replacement instrument from CROMA once again we found the instrument unusable as there was frequent battery charging problem and the instrument was not getting “switched-on” because of some defects. Everytime I complain CROMA people do something and tell that the instrument had minor hitches only.

When I was at Singapore, the instrument failed to boot. I was then to go to DOHA. So I asked our electrical engineer to deal with CROMA?ASUS. He visited M/s. CROMA, Aundh and after their preliminary check up and as advised by Mr. Arihant Jain of M/s. CROMA to visit M/s. Accel Frontline Limited, Shivajinagar, Pune for the service support, he deposited the PDA instrument with M/s. Accel under the Service Call reference No. PUN-AS-00505/2008 dt.21.01.2009.

Although we have deposited the PDA with M/s. Accel, we did not get any definite date for rectification. We are having the apprehension that the same thing would be repeated as it happened earlier and there will be delay in getting our instrument duly serviced. We got the information from M/s. Accel that there would either be problem with board or software. Ultimately to day on specific visit by our Engineer, they told, the instrument is bad and you try to get a replacement from CROMA. On our Engineer visiting them, he was offered a SONY ordinary mobile without internet or any other utilities for which we had purchased this ASUS instrument. They audaciously advised our Engineer Mr Veer to accept this or wait patiently for at least a montgh for the instrument to be repaired.

We therefore request you to kindly look into the matter and arrange to service the PDA instrument on urgent basis so that we will get the PDA duly serviced by tomorrow.

Please note that we have one year base and 2 year extended warranty. The Bill No. of M/s. Croma is 38626 dated 10/05/2008. And the PDA details are as under:

                                    ASUS PDA P527, SSN : 83A0AS008906, IMEI : [protected].

Trust you will not compel us to go to the edges when I am freed from my present rush of events due to SEBI board meetings at Mumbai and IRDA Board meeting at Hyderabad. I await your promptness before I am put to take any further action as warranted due to your continued apathy to a harassed customer. Take notice.
One more thing that I noticed about Croma, is the price tag..!!!
These people quote that they have the best price available where as the same product is available at much cheaper rate in other shops. An example here, I purchased Altec Lansing VS3251 5.1 speakers for my PC for Rs. 3950/- at a regular electronics and computer accessories shop and the same model is available at Croma for Rs. 4499/-.Although the shop i purchased from does not buy directly from the manufactuter or their direct stockist, but still a huge difference in price, where Croma might be purchasing it from the stockist itself. Other example is a mobile - HTC P3400i handset that I bought for 9250 in a regular mobile shop 6 moths before and even today the same piece is available in Croma for Rs. 9799/- . Do these people really deserve customers visiting them and buying goods at higher prices only because they have huge showrooms or a brand name behind them?
i m not agree with complent because my experience with croma are very good .
I have bought a Sony Ericsson Mobile J10i2 on 29 feb 2012.The salesman involved has missselled the product to me and hasn't provided me with all
the accessories. He had provided me a nokia data cable charger along with small cable inspite of me telling him that I want an original one.He even
tried to persuade me to get some discount and adjust. Also I have visited the store around 4 times and have tried to meet the floor manager but
somebdy made a fool out of me and made me met somebody who was'nt the store manager at all.It has been a month and still nothing has been done.

I have lodged two complaint but still I don't get any solution.

I want to state that this is company store where only customer care agent don't have contact details of any higher authority to lodge a complaint, there is no written confirmation along with that customer care don't provide any sort of help.
Its one of the bad location to buy any product please help me out if any person can.
And in future don't buy any product from TATA chroma, saket .
                                    To OmkarB,
First learn to write, so that it makes sense to people.Wonder if you are a croma employee incognito. Wouldn't be a surprise.
                                    Hi !

IT'S VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CROMA SERVICE.

I have booked 32 inch LED on 25 MARCH and same got deliver on 27 march.

Since then it is lying with us and no one has contacted for instillation till now 30 march .

When i contacted Toshiba call Center they said that i have booked LCD and not LED and LCD has been delivered to your place.

Then i called Croma they said it's LED and installation person will call you.

On 29 March i made several call to Toshiba and Croma and at 2 pm Croma supervisor said that installation will happen today and from Toshiba service center person will contact me.

The story is not end here ...

                                    Kahani me TWIST

I got call from Toshiba Thane where in i stay at MIRAROAD. again wrong information passed though Croma to toshiba people...

Toshiba guy said he is closing the call as we are not located in their area, which is correct.

Again i Called up Croma and one girl said that now it's already 3 pm and person will come only on Saturday, which was not possible for me as i am working and can't get leave for my tv installation...

I insist her to give the call to floor supervisor and one guy came on line he said today before 8 pm person will come and... same story :(

I REMEMBER ALL THE EXECUTIVES NAME BUT DON"T WANT TO TAKE THEIR NAME ON MAIL AS I KNOW IT'S NOT THEIR MISTAKE ... 1 PERSON HAS DONE SOMETHING WRONG THEN WHY ALL SHOULD ALL SUFFER.

Yesterday i was waiting whole day for Installation but neither i received call nor the person came.

Again since morning i am following up with the Croma's same Supervisor and he said i will get every thing done today itself...

                                    Let's hope for the best...

I had recently purchased DVD player 3268. As per the specification in the phillips dvd manual it had indicated that dvd remote should be with the cell batteries. To my surprise the cell batteries were not given.

Further the kind of services provided at croma stores are sub-standard. I want to write to concerned person handling the croma admin. The product which was given to me was not as the specifications. I have lodged a complaint but I am not sure considering the admin setup whether this would be attended appropriately. Just to share my complaint number is 119/211208/dvd & vcd player 2513.

Can anyone provide the email ID of the head of croma sales.

..as a matter of fact I discovered something new... it appears the products that are being sold from Croma are sub-standard...

It was a great idea to have a glittering mega store in your neighborhood and we had it in Rohini Delhi.

I bought a Sony Viao last October it is in the service center now, I bought an LG DVD player from Croma last year - again a sub-standard piece, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not... with a usb feature present, it reads USB pen drive on its own wish.

I bought logitech laptop speakers they have already visited the service center after 2 months o[censored]se...

I bought a Sony Camera in feb this year, I hope whatever problem it has to give it should do before warranty lapses... presently working fine...

If anybody at Croma listening... I have receipts for all these purchases and not making unnecessary noise.. my id is [protected]@gmail.com

                                        Hello Sir,
I am a Lecturer in the Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering, Visnagar.I have purchased a Laptop(Model NO:415227q, Core 2 Duo Processor.) from Crome at Iscon, Ahmedabad at the time of Diwali. At that time the offer is there in Croma that if you are purchasing a Lenovo Laptop from Croma "Digital Camera & small Crockery Set" is free with the Laptop as a part of the Diwali Offer.i have paid Rs. 38999 for the Lenovo Laptop. They have sticked the Rs. 38999 price of the Lenovo laptopi have mentied in the showroom. They have packed the Laptop & two gifts in the carry bag, I have checked the bill of Rs. 38999 and come back to home. After coming to home i have seen that the MRP price of the Laptop written on the box of my Laptop is Rs. 37800. So i have called them & asked about the difference between the price i have paid(Rs. 38999) and the MRP price written on the Laptop Box(Rs. 37800).They have told me that extra Rs. is taken for the carrybag given with the Laptop. So i found satisfied. After some days i have seen on the Laptop Box, it is that "Accessories include Carrybag", means carrybag is coming within that MRP price written on the box(Rs. 37800).Again i have called them & told that carrybag is free with Laptop so why you have taken Rs.1199 more from me.At this time they have told me that that extra Rs. are of that Gift(Digital Camera). At the time of purchasing the Laptop they have told me that Digital Camera is totally free with Laptop. After purchasing Laptop they are telling that the price more they have taken is of Digital Camera.I don't want the Didital Camera. But they have told me that it is free with Laptop as a part of Diwali Offer at the time pf purchasing, So i have taken it.

So i thing Croma is making the People fool by solding their items like "Digital Camera" along with their Laptops & taking more money from customers by giving the name of "Diwali Offer".

                                        So take appropriate actions.
                                        Thank You Sir.
                                        Bye.
