On dec 21, 2015; flipkart was running an offer to give 10% cashback for purchasing products of 5, 000.00 through citibank credit card. In a single transaction, i bought a ray ban aviator @ 4, 065.00 and a samsung 22f5100 55 cm (22) led tv @ 10, 990.00 and the total cost to my card was 15, 055.00.
The transaction created two order ids:
Od[protected] for ray ban & od[protected] for tv
Later, flipkart delivered a defective tv. After a lot of follow up (Read harassment), a technician from samsung verified that there is a problem with sound quality of the tv and finally a replacement was allowed by flipkart. However, within a day flipkart came to say that the product is out of stock (Though it was still showing at flipkart website for a fresh buy at my same pin code by the same seller) and asked me to go for a refund of 10, 990.00
I then repeatedly tried to confirm the fact that post cancellation of tv, if i would be eligible for cashback for the remaining 4, 065.00 or not. As, if not; i was ready to cancel ray ban order od[protected] too.
At that stage, varsha from flipkart customer support; in a telephonic conversation assured me that i would get 406.00 by feb 20, 2016 (It is the date one or before cashback was supposed to be posed to) to my credit card as cashback. She also sent me a written confirmation to my email id.
And now after feb 20, when i did not receive the cashback and tried to reach out to flipkart; everytime they are either asking me to check with the bank saying the cashback is already posted. I told them i have checked with bank already several times and there is no cashback showing up then they just buy some time and then again after few days, they ask me again to check with the bank.
Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
