Hai, I am Mohan Prathap, I have recently purchased an Iphone 12 in Big Billions Day sale on Flipkart. I placed the order on 02 October 2021 and received the product on 05 October 2021. The product was fine for 1-2 days after that it suddenly went off on 07 October 2021 evening around 4pm since then I have been trying to power it on but it won’t turn on. So I booked a appointment on Apple Support, in one of the Authorised Service Provider iCare - Ample Technologies Pvt Ltd
Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad ( screenshot attached below ). Appointment was on 08 October 2021, I went there hoping that it would be a small problem, but to my surprise even before explaining my problem the executive/service provider himself asked did you buy it online, did you buy it from Flipkart. He then explained me the situation that in the past week there were 2-3 similar cases all bought from Flipkart, with the same problem I think that isn’t a coincidence. In apple products there will be a small “WHITE” Strip which turns “RED/PINK” whenever there is water damage, in my case the Strip was already “RED/PINK” I haven’t even started using the phone properly. This is the same case for all the 2-3 members who approached the service provider and only from one location or branch. The service provider if you submit the product we will try to look into it but the product will be considered as Water Damage and you can’t claim warranty and there will be no replacement. He suggested me to return the device to the original source.
Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
