Dear Sir/mam,

I am Sharda Prasad Awasthi, from Jabalpur M.P. India. Currently I am staying in Osaka, Japan.
My family has send me a parcel containing two pants and some sweets by EMS speed post on 23 Jan 2009.
The details are : JABALPUR GARHA MDG 482003, fgn-AIR-RL A 3159, counter no : 1, OP-code:AS.
02 Feb 2009 I received the parcel here, but to a shame of India EMS post, someone have taken out the pants and finished the sweets.
The stuffs were replaced by the magazines titled as Cargo Times (7 copies of Jan 2009 issue) and empty sweet boxes. The presence of magazines indicates that the stuffs were
removed at Airport.
My family has informed the Post Office about the same but till date there is no action by the department.
I asked my family to file a case in the consumer court.
Please help me regarding the matter.

I have booked a e-Money Order at Porur Sub-Post Office for Rs. 1000 on 4th February, 2009 addressed to Srirangam, Trichy Dt. [vide PNR No.[protected]]. At the time of booking itself, the Porur Sub-Post Office official have feeded the destination wrongly. i.e., instead of Srirangam, she had typed Porur again. That is the e-M.O. is from Porur to Porur. When I immediately pointed out the mistake, she said they would take care when sending the e-M.O.

To my surprise, the e-M.O. never reached the destination. Since, the money was to be reached urgently, I had to visit Srirangam and paid the amount by cash. I made an enquiry at the Srirangam Post Office, they immediately helped me by tracking the PNR Number in the server, which clearly showed that the amount was roaming within Porur and showing that the amount was paid on 7th February, 2009, whereas the amount had neither gone to the destination nor it has been returned to the sender.

To add to my grief, I received the e-M.O. acknowledgement slip without the signature of the addressee. Immediately I enquired the Porur Sub Post Office, they just kept mum and could not answer properly. I gave a written complaint, requesting the authorities to return the money immeditely. They blamed the system and narrated technical problems. Till today, the 2nd March 2009, almost one month is over, the amount is yet to be received by me.

I am visiting the Porur Sub Post Office daily except on Sundays and holidays, but the Sub-Post Master is giving some unconvincing reply.

I hope this complaint would reach the attention of the authorities so that I can get back the money at the earliest. I am thinking of going to consumer court, if it does not come within a week.

I was supposed to receive important document by speed post. The document was booked on 13 Feb 2009. Booking number is ET[protected]IN. But I have not received it yet, and there is no trace available on their official site http://www.indiapost.gov.in/speednet/track.htm.

It was informed that the letter will be delivered within 12 days, but till 25th February the same has not been delivered?

I am a seller at ebay and have dispatched three articles through speed post. The shipment got delivered but the inside products are not there. They have been stolen. The indian post is cheat. I had enclosed declaration also which showed that each product was worth 2000 rupees but i guess it came out to be indicative for speed post people that they can fill there fat bellies by taking away my goods. This is INDIA and we love it.

It was very important. it was carring some important doccument. It is not delieved till now. I am so disspointed by this type of post ofiice service. Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to bring to your notice that, i have Gurpreet Oberoi, permanent resident of Flat no. 22015, Block-2, Janapriya Utopia, Hyderguda, Attapur, Hyderabad - 500048, have not been receiving any letters/mails/bills etc via post for the last one and a half year.

I have been managing to pay my bills proactively and on my own without the physical copy of the bill that is supposed to be delivered via post. I have been tracking all the due amounts of my various bills through the internet and paying them, though i did not receive them through post at all.

But unfortunately i am unable to manage like this anymore, since i have missed on several letters/bank statements of my various bank accounts/letters from LIC/letters from other depts with respect to my home loan etc. The most difficult thing is that due to non-delivery of such letters via post, i do not have any address proof that can be submitted for various purposes.

I face this problem whenever i have to submit certain documents with address proof for purposes of filing tax returns, applying for any loans, phone connections, or applying for anything new.

The only letters/mails i receive are the ones that are sent via courier, which i receive very promptly every month, but there is not a single document which i may have received via post for the last 1 and half year. Prior to this, i used to receive them.

Now-a-days each member of the family is working and may not be at home all the time to receive the letters at home, but it is the responsibility of the postman to leave the letter/mail/bill at the doorstep or give it to the security guard at the apartments gate or to fold and keep the letter on the door handle, in case the door is locked.

I have a strong feeling that the postman is doing so deliberately, as i remember faintly that prior to one and half year, the postman had delivered letters and the last letter he delivered was a speedpost that i had received which was a big packet, after delivering that packet, he asked for some tip, for which i denied at that moment and told him that i will give him on any festival, and that was the last i saw of him at my doorstep. I see him even now delivering other's letters, but none of mine he has.

It is my request to you to address this issue of mine and help me and all other people like me, living in my apartments, who are suffering from this problem. I stay in a township consisting of 1000+ flats and this is my permanent residence.

As far as i know the nearest postoffice branch name is "Hyderguda" in Rajendra Nagar.

Please let me know if you need any further information from me to get this resolved at the earliest.

Dear Sir,


I had applied for passport for myself and my son through GPO TONK on 18/03/2008 and got file No as W300013 for my self Vedika Gupta and W300014 for my son Prarabdha Agarwal and the same was send to your office vide speed post no EE[protected]IN and EE[protected]IN of dated 18/03/2008 respectively and the same query was send by police hq tonk to your office vide letter no 5224 and 5242 dated 23/04/08
On checking on net for status of application it is showing different name when further enquiring to GPO tonk they told their computer got corrupted and duplicity of file number generated and further they had send the list of duplicated file number to passport office on asking about the same by passport office. Form number of the two passports is from these numbers 950616/617/620/621
Again after enquiring the passport office as well as GPO, Tonk I was told to renew the Draft for both the application which I have submitted again. Consequently I received new file numbers W300086/87 which is again not showing my name on internet. Kindly let me know the status of my passport for which applications have been submitted in the month of March and my DD has also got hanged.
If all govt work like these is believed to be successful through touts only then kindly let me know and revert back my DDs so that I can proceed using Govt style of working i.e. through Tout.

i have sent a mobile phone from US to india on dec 3 2008 through express mail(USPS) from california, US to hyderbad.The tracking Number for the mail is EH[protected]U S. the details for this item can be checked at usps.com.Its almost 3 months my item has not yet deliverd to my friend.i have contacted the customer care about my item and they have given me number of mumbai post office.i tried calling the number for about a month and they not even responded my call.At last after 40 days they answered my call and said they need the billing reciept for the item and in 2 days i fax the copies to them.After a week i call them to know the status they told that they did not recieved any fax and asked an alternate way they have given me the address of the post office and told to post the reciept and i did it and now the main story begin now when i call them they have been telling me that there is no way that u could get the item released from us and suggested me to approach some bokers and provided me the numbers of those people too.what a shame to the postal department trying to briebary in a different way and now too i have been trying to contact them through some of my friends in mumbai.i would like to get these kind of stories to the outer world.please do contact for any further details that i can provide and please suggest me some ways of getting my item released form those stupids.

i did a speed post to kolkta frm secunderabad where im posted now a days.
i was told tht i will be delivered within two to three days.but after six days also it was not delivered.
when i tried to know its status, online it showed no info.then i traced out number of the manager of speed post of howrah circle, but thn also either no one picked up the call or said its out of their jurisdiction or gave a other number to call.
thn a chap gave me the number of garia post office where i was told blatantly its'lying there'
but no one is thre to deliver it.
they told me again tht it will be delivered next day.
today its the seventh day still its lying there only due to shear neglegence. today also i called up i was given the same old answer.

Sir,
I have received an empty, half opened packet, delivered at my doorsteps on 11th Feb 2009 at 1 pm. The delivery is from Mindark, Sweden, and was supposed to contain a SEcurity Access Card, and two Card readers.
When I approached the Postal department with the issue, it was absolute non-cooperation. Verbally they informed me that, as it was an ordinary post, they have no responsibility regarding the missing contents. Does that mean that, India Post is authorised to steal anything sent by ordinary postage?
As the contents are vital security material, from a foreigh concern, it is utmost important for me to get it back. Please help.

I have the honour to inform you that, I have not received survival benefit Rs. 4000/- against PLI policy No. AM/AEA/24986-CS till today after getting payment sanction from Dy. Divisional Manager (PLI) Assam Circle, Guwahati-781001 vide No. LI/AM-AEA-24986-CS/DI/86-Krjh dtd. 19.11.2008 from Gossaigaon Post Office PIN 783360, Dist. Kokrajhar, Assam which was due on 21.03.2008.

I have purchased two application form for J.E. But Meerut Cantt H.O post office selling old application (Direct recruitment) form in lue of new Advt. publised on[protected] for J.E., I have already complaint to Meerut Cantt H.O, complaint no.[protected]. they reply that he recived these form from Lucknow Post H.O they can't do anything regarding this matter.

I had submitted 03 nos NSC - 37EE519791 to 93 at the post office in Assam Sachivalaya SO, Dishpur for transfer of the same from Indore GPO on 300808. The NSCs are not transferred so far. These were matured on 120908. Now I am not able to redeem the same though it is already 05 months over. I am not getting any positive response from the post office and not sure whether the same to be done. Matter was also referred to the website of Indian...

The small post office at Ranalai, Via - Chandragir, Dist - Gajapati, Orissa, PIN - 761 017 India doesn't deal monetary matter properly. Even some people of the village lost their money and never recoved it.

In my case, I fear if the post master has done something with the money (Rs. 200- Rupees Two Hundred only) as I dispatched Rs. 200/- on January 20, 2009 to my sister staying at the village but still now (as on February 3, 2009) she has not received it. It takes hardly 6 days to reach that money from Kuruda, Balasore to the place. It is said that the main post office situated at Chandragiri, Gajapati, Orissa - 761 017 is for the post master and both the post master use to communicate in such a way that they plan to escape themselves.

Therefore, may you please inquiry and take necessary action to unvail their activities and oblige the common people. Below I gave the address of my sister and to whom I dispatched money.

I had placed a money order of 480 rs + 25 rs service charge in the model tonw -3 post office. The money order has not reached the addressee ( competition review ltd). I apparoached the post office and they had no answer to where the money is now.They gave a vague answer sarcastically, claimning it might or might not reach.
