Dear Sir, Today i faced so many difficulty in booking tatkal ticket from my system. when i entered the station codes from lucknow(lko) to ludhiana(ldh), it reflected the tatkal status for booking and when i clicked for the available tickets it then reflected this..."You are permitted only 2 Tatkal Tickets between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM per IP Address"...now what should i understand by this...m using my own personal computer and this was my first tatkal ticket of the day and also of the month...so why showing this...and then when i reserved ticket from my personal mobile, i got one confirmed but the ticket i wanted that is in 3AC, i could not get it...plz see in to this problem and award solution to it.

Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
This is regarding my experience regarding tatkal ticket booking through irctc.co.in. It seems the site is intentionally down during the initial 10-15 min after 10:00 AM. I have tried continuously for last 1 week and got the same message, "Error: unable to reach the site". I asked my different friends to try and all were with different Internet connection and were getting the message. After the 15 min means after 10:15 AM the site runs perfectly. If you are not able to manage the load then you should try to resolve it immediately.
Form last one week while i am trying to book Tatakal ticket at sharp 10 AM, I am getting error" This service is not reachabe please try after some time" which is spoiling the summer vacation.
Let me know when this error or will be resoled. I am going to file RTI gainst this major issue.
Expecting the resolution as soon as possible..

    I was trying to book the tatkal ticket, till payment everything went fine, but instead of showing thankyou page with ticket details, it shows seats not available. What a bull site it is. No provision to block the seat priority wise who has initiated transaction..??? Help me out. Regards, shahas

      I am Mr Banajit Deka. I booked a flight ticket from Dibrugarh city to Mumbai, on 5th January. At the time of booking while I proceed for payment of the ticket, it showed that "oops connection failure, book another flight". As the total amount Rs. 26, 553 was already deducted form my account. So wrote a mail to IRCTC to refund my full amount, as the ticket was not booked by that time. And I booked the flight ticket by using another agent and I paid them also. But after 3-4 hours when I checked for any reply from IRCTC through email, I got e-ticket from IRCTC for Dibrugarh to Mumbai journey. They ignored my intimation mail and booked the flight ticket. Ultimately I requested for cancellation of the IRCTC e-ticket. On 7th january I got refund of only Rs 16, 103 instead of Rs. 26, 553. I am surprised how IRCTC can deduct Rs 10, 450 as for cancellation charge for cancelling one round trip ticket. The details of the ticket given below Sr.No. Name Type Age Ticket No Cancel Ref.         Sir, This is to report that the IRCTC is not providing the full menu with Tea in trains. In that where as Rs10 are being charged from the passengers for a cup of tea but the biscuits are invariably not provided which is part of the menu. Also the quantity of tea is 75% full. I travelled on 26th Dec by AC 3tier in Alla Hazrat-Bhuj Express and returned on 02Jan15. It is requested that vigilance check on tea bearers is carried out and the services are improved. col alok goel [protected]

          Unable to book premium tatkal

I checked for multiple trains, but everywhere it shows not available. May I know the reason why there are no tickets available on premium tatkal and that on such a festival season like Sankranti?           I've tried to book tatkal ticket from Pune to Ahmedabad thorough IRCTC website in Ajmer express on[protected] at 9:50 AM. The train 16210/Ajmer express starts from Mysore on 8-01 and arrival to Pune on 9-01. When I've checked for tatkal ticket on 7-01 at 9:50 (before 1 day at 10 AM of actual departure), the tatkal status was "REGREAT/CKWL1#" which is not possible because as per government rule tatkal reservation is open before 1 day at 10 AM. Could you someone please let me explain how is it possible when before 1 day at 10 AM (before 1 day at 10 AM of actual departure) tatkal status was "REGREAT/CKWL1#"?

            Hi, I had filled a TDR for 2 tickets(PNR no: [protected] and [protected]). The reason for filing TDR was "Train Late More Than Three Hours and Passenger Not Travelled". I had filled the TDR well before the train actual departure from the boarding station(Train departed more than 12 hrs late from the source station itself). I got the refund but only 50% which is not as per the refund rules. I should have been refunded the 100% amount. Please refund the full amount. Thanks, Vishal Agarwal

              I had to travel through Bikaner Delhi superfast express train no- 12456 PNR:[protected] DOJ: 24-12-14 3A, BKN-DEE, Dep: 17:00, Shanu Aggarwal, B2, 64 Fare: 1135, txn id: [protected] But train cancel without prior notice from bikaner junction station as it was departing from sri ganganagar station. When i asked enquiry about the refund of the fare regarding the process, they told me that the fare will directly refund to the account as the train had cancelled from the journey point.

                Dear Sir, I was travelling from bangalore to nagpur with Rajdhani Exxpress/22693 dated 06th Dec2014. That was my worst night with Indian Railways. While checking ticket T.C Mr. Chandpasha asked me to show original ID proof indicated on e-ticket unfortunatily I missed that after booking my ticket. I shown him the scanned copy, xerox copy, original pan card, original ration card and original passport all were having same details as that of details given while booking the ticket. First T.C tried to collect bribe when I refused strongly, he behaved rashly with abusing words and asked me to pay a fine Rs.5200/-. I told if its must I ll pay it afterwards since I was not having that much amount. He again became rash, took my bed and kept my adhar card with him only for the whole night. Finally with help of escorts he made me scare, forced me to take amount from ATM and collected Rs5200/-. I requested T.C for complaint book available in train but he didn provide me. I have been charged without any valid reason. I demand my money should be back to me since I am the one for ticket has been booked and I was only travelling on that day. I even launched complaint in Nagpur station but I have not yet recieved any feedback. This was my worst experience with Indian railways.

                  REFUND OF TICKET Sir I have filed the TDR to refund against PNR No. [protected] with reason Train Late More than Three Hours ( departing time was at 7:45 pm but train departed after at 12 midnight ) Why only 50% refund granted (which is RS.680.0 but the actual total amount should be Rs.1370.0) when Train was late more than 3 hours As per government rule we should get full refund (Copied section 3.7 from below link) http://www.indianrail.gov.in/refund_Rules.html 3.7 Non-commencement or missing of journey due to late running of trains. - No cancellation charge or clerkage shall be levied and full fare shall be refunded to all passengers holding reserved, RAC and waitlisted tickets, if the journey is not undertaken due to late running of the train by more than three hours of the scheduled departure of the train from the station commencing the journey subject to condition that the ticket is surrendered upto the actual departure of the train instead of existing 3/6/12 hours for distance 200 kms/200-500 kms/500 Kms and above after the actual departure of the train in case of e-tickets, the TDR is filed online before the actual departure of the train for availing full refund. In case the ticket is cancelled or surrendered or if the request for refund of fare is filed online after the actual departure of the train, no refund of fare shall be admissible.                     1. I had booked two tickets (2AC and 3AC) for my family on Train No. & Name 14056 / BRAHMAPUTRA MAIL (Late night train) 2. The 2AC ticket was waitlisted so I booked the 3AC ticket which was confirmed. 3. On 31st October 2014 when I checked the 2AC ticket status it was showing waitlisted. I was unable to cancel the ticket online, so I spoke to IRCTC Chennai and Delhi Customer care they said that I would receive the full refund for my 2AC because my ticket is WL. I was not aware of the ticket getting confirmed nor I did not receive any sort of confirmation from IRCTC through email or sms, also the train was in the late night, it was not possible to check the status online… 4. I was under the impression that my 2AC ticket amount is refunded, since I did not receive the refund I called the IRCTC customer service to find out the status, they said that my ticket got confirmed at the time of departure, now the amount will not be refunded. I sent out several email to [protected]@irctc.co.in to refund my money but till date my 2AC ticket amount is not refunded…. …. No response from IRCTC… 5. Finally after no response from IRCTC I am taking help from Consumer Forum… 6. I would request you to HELP me in getting my refund for my 2AC ticket . …It is unfair I am a regular traveller and IRCTC has charged me twice i.e. for 2AC and 3AC for one train.

                          TDR refund has been rejected for RAC tickets (TDR filed within 3 hours of actual arrival at source station): I have filed TDR for RAC tickets and it has been rejected and reason provided is : "Invalid TDR Timestmap : RAC" which is not the case in actual. TDR has been filed within 2 hours of actual arrival of the train at Bhopal Jn. Below are details of the same: Transaction ID: [protected] TDR Filing Date: 24-Dec-2014 09:24:19 HRS TDR Status: CR Repudiate Cancellation ID: [protected] Reason For TDR: Passenger Not Travelled Due To Ticket In RAC After Chart Preparation. Also, train was late more than 6 hours on that day. This was also one of the reason for not travelling.

                          I received a call from an unknown number. They told me that your money will be refunded but for that you need to tell us your card details including Card No, Expiry Date, and CVV No. As i am not sure about authenticity of that person i did not share card details and asked that person to reply to my email id seeking this information. If they are authentic person, then also my concern is that why do i need to provide card details? They should have this information from IRCTC.

                          I am very disappointed that after lodging this complaint, the issue has not been resolved in more than a months time. I am not sure about the usefulness of this portal.

                          Can anyone from authority let me know the status of this complaint or i will have to take actions accordingly?
                          I received a call from an unknown number.                               Respected Sir/Mam, I had to book a ticket today via tatkal. I finished all the procedures including payment and even the cash got deducted from my account but before the final step i got a error saying 'error please try after some time'.After that again i could not try booking because again a error message came up saying 'Only two tatkal tickets can be booked between 10-12 in one IP address'.Then how am i supposed to book?. By the time i booked via another IP address from a different place the tickets ended up in waiting list. This is really very bad. Instead of making it for convenience its leading to more trouble. Please make sure the tatkal service doesent give such errors and hope u will reduce the difficulty and do the needfull. Thank You

                                  I TRAVELLED BY TRAIN NO 02578 SPL ON 31 DEC 14 FROM CHENNAI TO ALLAHABAD.THERE WAS NO ATTENDANTS IN THE TRAIN. AC OPERATOR WAS DISTRIBUTING BEDDINGS AND ASKING HIM TO PAY FOR BEDDING.THERE WAS NO TTE SEEN AFTER TRAIN DEPARTED FROM NAGPUR ON BOTH AC AND SLEEPER COMPARTMENTS.

                                    Probable scam in online Tatkal booking.

                                    To whoever it may concern, I'm a student studying in Versova, Mumbai, and I'm based from Nagpur. I'm a frequent visiter to Nagpur, so visiting dates are always tentative. I have been dependent totally on IRCTC's Tatkal System for booking and I use to do successful transactions and get me a berth reserved. There has been a fraud/scam with the booking system lately, I consecutively failed 7-8 times, failing to acquire a reserved berth....
