Subject-Complain about a new Mobile hand set N70 purchased on 19th Nov 2007 from Vijay Sales ( Goregaon West).
Respected Sir,
I would like to draw your kind attention that MY SON Imran Khan had purchased a Nokia set N70 via bill no 11921 dt 19th Nov 07-from Vijay sales, Goregaon west.[N70-1GB-BLK-F21]-[CHASIS.no.[protected]].
It gives me immense pain to state that when this hand set was purchased on 19th Nov 07, immediately after that in June 08 I experienced that the hand set often use to get hanged, for that reason I was compelled to visit M/s Vijay sales at Goregaon on 25th June 08.
M/s Vijay Sales directed me to visit Nokia Service center situated at Borivali, since I stay at Borivali . Nokia Service center –FONE WORLD, shop no 6, MURD KISHOR APT, Dutta pada Rd Junction, S V road, Borivali west, Mumbai-92
After I visited the service center my hand set was checked and I was informed that the set needs to be send to Head office for proper check.[ Service job sheet No-[protected]/62]
I was been asked to come back the next day.
After I returned back home, the same day, TO MY UTTER SURPRISE with in 10 minuts, I received a telephonic call from the center stating that the Set Display screen requires replacement.
Without sending my set to the head office how come they came to a decision so fast that my cell display needs a replacement and further to my surprise the reparing cost would be 1800 Rs. Inspite the New Set being within the Warranty period.
So I had to bluntly refuse them any further service for my hand set.
The next day (29th June 08) when I went to Nokia Service center to collect my new hand set, to my utter surprise I saw that the set display unit has been changed with a old display unit.
I immediately sensed something fishy so I consulted the desk operater Miss Aparna.
In reply she said that it was not possible that such thing could happen.
Therefore I decided to go ahead with decision of repairing my hand set. And I handed over my set to them for further repair.I even paid a cash amount of Rs1800.
On 7th July 08 I collected the repaired set and came back home.
Immediately the next day I experienced the same problem, so I had to go back to them again.
To my surprise I was told that the set display unit need to be replaced again . Such incidence happened more than three times.
I was not able to digest the fact that such a renounced company like Nokia is showing such a irresponsible act.
I was latter told that this set cannot be repaired, and the ultimate solution was that to send the set to Lower Parel HO service center.
In the month of august 08 I visited the HO, Bright Point, Lowerparel service center and got my set checked.
To my utter surprise I was told that my hand set display unit is a duplicate one.[which was replaced by m/s Foneworld, Borivli, while returning me.
It is repaired by Bright Point, for that I was charged 1950 Rupees.
I therefore would like to have an explanation from your that how come such a renounced institute can afford to do such act of negligence.
I therefore request you to take up the matter with your higher ups and give me an explanation at the earliest.

{N.B.>>>Myself, being an electronic technecian, almost for more then 25 years of experience in repairing, I feel that I have been cheated by your Borivli’s FONEWORLD service center because when they opened the mobile before me the display unit/circuitboard was new/fresh one but when next day I went to collect the set, [ i asked them to show me the display unit] it was an old one.}.
