Currently i m in Baharain, and applied for passport renewal through Indian Ambassy Baharain File No. BHRAR0042907Dtd 31st OCT06, but i have not got any responce from there till today, i m in a big mess Becoz of Passport Office Lucknow coz i have to come back my home but i cant enter in my own country without passport, and i have logged so many complaints in external affairs too but not getting any response, please help!!!...

I am Ritesh Nigam from Lucknow.I applied for a fresh passport on 15 Jan 2008 and got the file reference no as A[protected]. My police verification was all completed on 22 feb 2008 and the Police clearence report was send by the verification officers on 27 Feb 2008. You are lucky you are not trying to get a US Passport. I submitted for my US Passport and they told me my birth certificate isn't valid because it has no raised seal/stamp.

I was born long before they started using those fancy stamps, but had the signed courthouse notice saying the birth certificate is valid and filed.

I had to wait for months to get a little piece of paper that says I was born in the US...

I have been tired to follow up with LUCKNOW PRO regarding my passport (applied an yr back).. here is how the story has gone so far:
