ramsmandal — Police asking bribe for walking on the street at CIL layout Bangalore after dinner around 12:30

Greet to all the guys! Many o[censored]s may come from office late, and many o[censored]s have habit of walking after dinner. It is not about miles together but can be 5 minutes of walk also gives thought that we reduced our tummy by walking, anyway. Incidence happened today around 12:30 when i decided to walk after heavy meal. Probably a 100 meter from my house. When i was on the phone talking to my friend following 'walk and talk' got busted by police office from Hebbal. They were crossed me by motorbike and stoped just few feet ahead from me. I didn't respond on them they walk same pattern. Once I reached there the officer ask me to sit to their bike. I agrue "why i should sit with you ?" he asked me "what you are doing midnight, according to IPC 108/9 you have to pay 200?" I said "just i had food and walking for a minutes there my house is." Again he replied "Sit on the bike and come to police station, luckily I was having one of my close lawyer number I said "Okay take me wherever you want but let me speak to my lawyer." He replied "Okay" i called him and told whatever happened in past minutes. He (Lawyer) asked me to give phone to the police, i gave he tried to tell him he is decent guy around half an hour back he back from job may be walking around." Police said whatever it is we will put him in jail till the morning come morning i will talk there" he gave phone to me. My lawyer asked me "which station he is taking you?" I said "Hebbal" and he said "okay i am coming." I got hope now i asked police "come we will go, I will talk to you there at station". This is he didn't said anything except "CALL HIM AGAIN". I replied "he is coming there come we will go there only" again he force me to call him, but this time i call 100 and talk to the helpline that this incident happened to me. He asked "how far you are from your place?" I replied "about 100 meters". He said give phone to the officer I gave to him they talk for a while and return back to me the phone. Mean time I heard that officer were asking helpline people that what is his name and all. Now he was calm and was red just not to got any money from my side, clearly showed his upset face and ask me "where is your room show me?" I said come! its there, they came till my room and told me not to move here and there at night and went. My question is: Is he lieble to stop me and harash me at midnight? In case of doubt, is he lieble to ask me bribe? Where in all situation he never asked my identity proof. Or Do i am not allow to walk on the lane, on public property? Is this is the city law, where people are coming MNC companies at midnight? Can't i wish to travel, in-case o[censored]rgency? What is my rights? Or, can money make me right in case of my mistake? If not, why he asked money from me? Is it ofence to walk for a while, if yes! by which law? What if i am not proven wrong? What action i can take against? Please guide me
