Sony Bravia model 42W850A boot issue

I bought sony bravia KDL-42W850A TV in 2014 in 85K. Now facing problem in TV with error prompt "some applications are unavailable due to boot error". Your service engineer visited & confirm for motherboard issue. Kindly confirm for the motherboard availability on priority as I want to replace it. If not, what will be the other solution to repair the same at the earliest....

Recently we had a physical damage to Sony Bravia n the screen was showing horizontal lines for this we replaced our panel last month. After replacing the new panel while watching TV it s display turned black with no sound.after lodging the complaint the technician is not giving any guarantee for further issues. Why the branded company like Sony is loosing the customers trust. Some people are emotionally connected to the brand so don't loose it. Please I kindly request you to be genuine with the product you are selling to the people. The parts of the product are very costly so do maintain the genuineness.

    It’s has been a painful experience since buying, KD-43X80J, Sony’s TV. Barely weeks after the purchase the TV started to have Wi-Fi issues i.e. the Wi-Fi disconnects after power recycle. The Wi-Fi module was replaced but still the issue persisted.
    It's been months since I am trying to get their attention to resolved the issue.
    I have opened a new case again on CROMA, since the TV was bought from them, the technician came and promised a senior person will visit you. It has been 4-5 days since then.

    Please, help me to get this resolved and hoping my complaint serve as reminder for other consumer to what to expect from brands like Sony.

        Hi team,
        I am very much upset with the build quality of my Sony bravia KDL 43w800F model TV. I purchased it 3 years ago and I strictly use my TV for maximum of 2 hours only.

        With such minimum usage and no physical damage my TV went into restart issue while I was watching. When inspected by Sony service center they said thr main board needs to be changed. They said the IC went into freezed state while it is getting power and everything properly but the IC is not working as expected. Now they charging me 10000 rs. For the main board to get replaced.

        It is very disheartening to spend such huge amount even if there is manufacturing quality defect and it's been only 3 years.

        Please help me with this, as it is like a trust breaking incident after spending such huge amount for TV just to use it for 3 years.

          Hi team,

          I bought the Sony 5.1 Channel Soundbar HT-S20R on the 13th of March 2022 and having problems since then. Even my Philips/F&D speaker system worth ₹2500/- with relatively lower sized woofers/speakers have much more bass compared to this home theatre system worth ₹16500/-.

          Raised a complaint immediately with Croma and engineer was sent to investigate.

          He came twice and reported that there was no problem at all with the speaker system however, raised the complaint again and after the 3rd visit, he said that there was issue with the speake/woofer system.

          He came in later after 15 days with some part to be replaced but ended up crashing the whole system, now the system even refused to start.

          Sony service center sent someone to pick up the speaker system on 29th April 2022 so that the problem can be resolved at the Sony service center and informed that the product should be delivered back by Saturday if not on Monday by the latest.

          It has been 11 days now and I haven't heard anything yet from the service center regarding the progress of the repair nor I have received any email regarding the complaint number.

          I did not expect this kind of service from Sony. I feel cheated and have wasted my money buying this piece of crap which refused to work right from day one.

          I need refund or a brand new speaker system as I did not pay for a refurbished/repaired product. The product was faulty when it was delivered.

            I have purchased sony tv on 06.05.22 model KDL-43W6600. The person came on 07.05.22 for installation. He provided us with movable stand, Syscom stabilizer P-50 and remote cover. They charged Rs. 4850.00 I have requested the bill but they say only for stabiliser they will give bill. They said stabiliser costs rs.2300.00 but while I checked it is rs.1500.00. i chated with sony tv service centre movable stand is not recommend but they fixed movable stand. I need to know whether the amount given to the installation person is right or not? We already have stabiliser but he said it is not suitable for sony tv. He charged Rs. 300 for remote cover.               Purchased Sony Stereo with Details as Item: STE 15.7 CM MM XAV-1500, WEBLINK, Part No.: 990J0M83KD9-650, Batch: AA on 20.12.2021 from Competent Automobiles Co. Ltd., Connaught Place, New Delhi.

              The product worked initially for few days and later on not working completely.

              Approached the seller and services center multiple times, both advised to change the data cables multiple times. It works for 1 or 2 times onwards not working.

              It is causing convenience to approach every time.

              The system carries product warranty of 2 years.

              Please resolve the issue.

                Purchased Television W830-32 INCH HD Ready LED Smart Android TV-KD 32W830 from Vijay Sales, Little world mall, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on 17.03.2022. Got it installed on 21.03.2022. On 24.03.2022, started observing flickering line on TV Screen. Raised complained on 27.03.2022- ID no. 69499963. From then till now just following up from customer care without any success. Additionally, screen starting to show parrot green illuminated lines along the edges occasionally. Connectivity issues with WiFi also developed. Sony team did managed to send one technician also. But he seemed very clueless after observing the issues. He did take photographs and videos of problems observed and promised to show it to their management persons. But after that they all became unreachable. No one responding now.
                First they sold a corrupt, malfunctioning television in first place, then they avoid and do not address the issues raised. Enough time passed now. Kindly do the desirable solution: either replace the Television or refund the amount. Please do not DUPE anyone.

                  Recently our 6 and half year old Sony Bravia to refused to operate so we contacted a Sony authorised dealer who took nearly 5000 plus for parts purchase.However they later refused to replace the parts and said that since this was an old model the parts were not manufactured.Now they are offering a new tv and asking us to pay Rs35, 000/- for that.now what type of customer service and brand value is this .We have taken the decision to take this matter to the consumer forum.

                    We bought a 55 inch sony tv 2 years back... We are facing horizontal lines on the display... This is the 2nd time we are having the same problem with the tv... First time tv was in warrenty... Now again... This is so ridiculous... We have washing machine, AC, Bike engine, Car engine and many more running properly for many years.. None of them tell us to go for warrenty extension... Only Tv has less warrenty of 1 year... And ask us to extend warrenty... Y cant products be manufactured like washing machine, AC, Bike or Car engine... They run for more than 10 years without a problem... I think this is manufacture defect... Cant a tv perform normally for atleast 5 years... Kindly look into the issue and provide a replacement or provide a repair for my tv...

                        Dear Sir/Mam,

                        This is RAJASEKHAR CHEKKARA, who bought SONY LED KD55X8500G for the amount of Rs. 78, 943.64 on 06th June 2020, through SBI Credit Card.

                        Recently, in the first week of September 2021, we encountered some issue with image display, during while watching the TV as of a sudden the image was lost and only the voice is coming. So, the SONY service has replaced both the mother board (we paid) & display screen in the month of December 2021 with 1 year warranty.

                        On 10th April 2022 again, all of a sudden, the display was off and the power is lost. As per the help line, we have switch off the power isolated the power plugs and tried to switch to connect the power, but the TV is not on.

                        The SONY service person visited and verified the TV and said the Supply Board to be Changed and it costs about Rs. 7300/-.
                        By looking at the continuous breakages / damages in this product, we think the given product is a defect product.

                        By looking into the SONY TV quality & brand image we bought this TV by paying the amount about Rs. 79, 000.00 (with GST amount Rs. 17, 277.00) and within the short period that too after the very short time of warranty (1 year) expiry the TV is not working means, we paid for mother boards + service charges. Just within 14 months period a high-end model TV not working and we paid about Rs. 11, 000/- from our hand – We completed this issue in December 2021.

                        Again within 4 months period an issue, with the Supply Board to be Changed and the service person given information that we need to pay Rs. 7300/- for this supply board change.

                        Like this high-end model TV not working means and falling under defects means, its really a manufacturing / seller issue where M/s. SONY needs to investigate and identify the exact root cause for the failure of product to maintain the brand image.

                        Considering the current pandemic situation for a common man its highly a tough day to run the family, and all of the things, request you to repair the TV at free of cost.

                        Still, we are SONY brand followers, Hope, SONY will maintain the same with respect to quality products.

                          Dear sir/ madam,

                          I have purchase an annual subscription for sony liv for rs 999.00 on 25.04.2022. After payment my subscription has not been activated till date, i have made many complains via email, t only way to contact them, u cannot talk to them by calling them over phone. After every mail they are asking for payment details and screen shot of my account option in their app for resolution, but till date they r not able to resolve and asking the same details everyday. Please find enclosed details required by them and request them to refund my subscription paid.

                            I Had a problem with my sony television and for which i raised a complaint to the customer care. They asked me to do some basic troubleshoot which i did over the call but that dint solve my issue so he insisted me on taking a complaint for solving the issue.
                            So i raised a complaint with No : 69782592. After one day a engineer called asking for the problem where i clearly explained him the red light blinks for three times and if its not serviceable or repairable no need to visit only for taking the visiting charge of Rs 254 .But he assured me any problem can be rectified but today i dint receive any call from them. so i initiated a call myself where they say sony supports only for the latest model television and for my model there is no spare available.

                            Its so cheap on a company which sells its brand on a costlier side to actually send engineers to just earn their salary again from customers.
                            If support is not available for the particular product its the duty of the customer support to inform the customer. Even a local TV mechanics dont charge for visiting they charge only for the repair charge. Very poor

                              श्रीमान,
                              मैंने नवंबर2021 में sony M3 mirrorless camra perches किया था। जिसकी कीमत 156000 रु थी जिसमे मेरे को 2 year की warranty मिली थी।
                              मार्च 2022 में मेरे camera के lens में कुछ प्रोब्लम हो गया जिससे मैं lens को raipur Sony service centre में बनवाने के लिए दिया।
                              लेकिन 2 month बाद भी service centre वाले मेरे lens को बना के नई दिए।
                              Service centre में call करने से कभी बोलते है दो दिन लगेगा तो कभी बोलते हैं courier में है
                              मैं अब तक service centre में 20 बार से ज्यादा कॉल कर चुका हूं क्योंकि मैं उस कैमरा को wedding में काम करने के लिए लिया था।
                              मैं इस camera के वजह से 6 wedding का advance booking ले के रखा हूं
                              पहला 15 अप्रैल से 18 अप्रैल
                              दूसरा 19 अप्रैल से 21 अप्रैल
                              Sony की इस प्रकार की service के वजह से मेरा पहला और दूसरा बुकिंग cancle हो गया
                              बाकी 4 बुकिंग भी sony के इस प्रकार की घटिया सर्विस के वजह से cancle हो जायेगा जिनका मैंने advance भी क्लाइंट से ले लिया है
                              मैं 2 month पहले बनवाने को ताकि मेरा lens wedding seasons तक बनकर आ जाए

                                i have sony ht rt 3, from last days it creating distorted sound from woofer...Complained multiple plateform of sony...2 visits already done by there service centre...But they cant find any issue wiht the bass sound...Which is clearly audible by a normal person... But there super expert sound engineers cant see any issue... /

                                so i request to change the service centre...I got the worst experience with the service centre.

                                  Mujhe 1 message aya sony tv ke taraf se for crew member job and mujhe btaya gya ki job description kya h mujhe crew members ko handle krna hoga dekhna hoga ki sab smoothly chal rha h ya nhi, 2500/day and payment weekly I will be asked for the card and my details were also asked, I did not give Such people trap job seekers and take money from them, this has happened to many of my friends, so I thought of taking this suction: Please take some action and stop this fraud company.

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                                    Sony Liv application has charged Rs.999/- from my Paytm account without my consent on 30 Nov 2021. I emailed the Sony Liv support team many times and they replied that they have sent me the renewal reminder on 27/11/2021 showing a screen shot of their own system whereas I did not receive any reminder message or email from their side. Also, if I have not consent
                                    then how can they deduct from my Paytm account just because their was enough balance in the account.
                                    Further, I unsubscribed hoping that they will refund my amount on pro-rate basis but they neither refund my money and also they immediately
