I booked a roundtrip flight for my brother with Spicejet through Makemytip - onward journey date was 29-Dec-2014, return journey date - 08-Jan-2014. The onward flight SG 894 (which was a morning flight - 10:45 AM) was cancelled and my brother was rebooked by Spicejet on flight SG 832 which had a departure time of 5:20 PM. The onward flight SG 893 was 'cancelled due to operational reasons' and no alternative booking was provided by Spicejet. Since he had a conference to attend in the evening on 29 Dec, the rebooking provided by Spicejet on SG 832 was useless to us. Also, the return flight had already been cancelled by Spicejet. So, I cancelled the entire Spicejet trip through MMT on 28-Dec-2014 and applied for a refund. The Spicejet flight fare was Rs. 11465 and including the MMT convenience fee, I had incurred a cost of Rs. 11755. Since applying for the refund, I have received Rs. 4430 on 18-Feb-2015 and Rs. 715 on 23-Apr-2015 only. Since it was Spicejet who had delayed/ cancelled both the flights, they had promised to refund the passengers in full. However, I am still waiting for the balance to be refunded and it has been 6 months now. How soon can I expect a full refund? Thanks, Suchetana Das [protected]

    To SpiceJet Ltd., 319, Udyog Vihar, Phase IV, Gurgaon - 122016 Haryana, India Dear Sir/Mam, Sub: Complaint regarding sudden breakdown due to technical ground, sudden stalling of flight and Terrible service leaving passengers stranded, stressed and without alternative I, Tirthankar Das, am a lawyer by profession. I am highly agitated, annoyed and aggrieved by callousness and unprofessional attitude on part of Spice Jet. On last Saturday 13.06.2015, I booked a flight SG 252. I paid extra Rs 1000/- for booking Seat 1A as your flights are usually cramped up. The flight was originally scheduled at 5.40 pm from Kolkata to New Delhi. Instead we started at 8.25 pm. This plane was coming from Bagdogra. I want to lodge a strong complaint based on the fact that the flight got delayed by three hours with no proper information to travelers, terrible guidance and terrible service from Spice Jet’s employees. First the flight gets delayed by 45 minutes for some unknown reason and we customers got notified at the very fag end. Then after baggage check in and security check in AT THE TIME OF ENTERING THE AEROPLANE ITSELF that the tired, eager, anxious unsuspecting customers get the shock of their life on the breaking news that the flight had been indefinitely delayed. We got notified that there were some problems with the plane, some serious technical problems. We could clearly see that the crew were talking amongst themselves about some smell and some wrong readings. They called the technical team to detect the problem. They scrutinized some stuff, while we waited for around 30 minutes in the aerobridge itself, and came to the conclusion that there had been some serious problem with the flight and flight has been indefinitely delayed. Spice Jet people started running helter-skelter. There was absolute mess. We, the customers were LEFT STRANDED. We were not notified at that time about the impending problem. Then there were more chaos amongst the passengers while standing in the non AC aerobridge. At that point of time, a nice Bengali gentleman came from Spice Jet and talked with us. Neither was he a senior officer nor a technical person. He had no clue. Then we requested, nay, implored him to help us. He then informed us that the flight has been indefinitely delayed as they will try to fix it, that we have to go back to the departure section once again and wait for further information and guided us to the departure section. In the departure section after much chaos, bad behavior of certain persons at the baggage check in counter, we were notified that they are trying to fix up the problem though they were unsure about the final status. Then they told us problem might be fixed but it would take some time. It is a massive shock and sad fact that a nice passenger detected a burning smell and reported to to a crew member of SG 252 Spice jet. Apparently something had/was burning which created further technical problems. This nice person and we went to the Airport Manager to request as well as lodge complaint to help the passengers traveling by the Delhi bound SG 252 Spice Jet. The technical problem should have been detected by the technical crew and the normal crew on board as and well during the flight was grounded and usually checked for problems and cleaning up. My Complaints are – 1. Sudden breakdown of flight on technical reasons which comes within the purview of your technical know how, legal and moral obligation. It is YOUR DUTY to check and solve technical problems before the flight takes off from the Ground. 2. The problem was technical not Act of God. There was no person to check it, detect and explain to us. 3. There were serious technical problem with the plane. Non adherence to strict rules and regulations of proper checking of inside the plane well as well as technical equipments CHECKING WHETHER THE FLIGHT IS AIRWORTHY AND READY FOR TRAVEL It directly put the lives of all the passengers into jeopardy. What if the flight had taken off. THIS AMOUNTS TO SERIOUS BREACH OF TRUST 4. Chaos within aerobridge. Noone was there to give us proper information, hope and guide us about process and procedures. Spice Jet was seriously understaffed unprofessional and UNDER PREPARED. This is serious breach of trust. 5. Chaos within Airport. There was no crew to explain us the process and procedure of to repeat check in OR GIVE ALTERNATIVE BOOKING OF FLIGHT AS WELL AS EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATION. 6. There were no alternatives for females onboard. 7. Misinformation or Negligence and lack of duty of care to inform customer before or during the problem. 8. As passengers we are customers and consumers we are entitled to certain rights which have been seriously breached here. 9. BREACH OF DUTY OF CARE 10. BREACH OF TRUST There are clear Guidelines And Statutory provisions under the DGCA, the Consumer Protection Act and the Contract Act safeguarding the consumers and even under IPC where passengers as consumers and human beings are protected so that Institutions like you cannot cheat us and abuse us. We had put our faith, trust, life and money into your hands for safe, proper and timely arrival at the destination. This was completely breached. Spice Jets actions needs to be highly reprimanded. There could have been serious repercussions for your costly mistake. This is unprofessional unjust, unfair, and ridiculous treatment of your customers. This is stressful and strainful and did amount to contractual and emotional breach of trust. DGCA should not have reallowed your license because you are so incompetent, unprofessional, under prepared, irresponsible and callous. We suffered mental trauma. I am deeply disturbed and anguished at these type of actions on your part as a customer and as lawyer. I expect better and higher standards from Spice jet. If you cannot raise the standards, at least try to maintain them. Congratulations, we you have been the worst career on air even beating now defunct Deccan Airlines. We suffered mental trauma. I had a meeting at 9 pm on Saturday which got canceled and got postponed to Sunday morning. Have suffered massively. Actually we all have suffered massively due to Spice Jet. This was a mentally devastating experience for all of the passengers which would leave us traumatized for rest of our lives and a serious bad repute to Spice Jet. I want the proper authorities to take notice of this serious issue, address it and address my grievances. Otherwise, I would be compelled to take serious legal steps against Spice Jet.       Flight ticket booked, a month before through SPICEJET, for travel from Hyderabad to Chennai on 19th June, 2015 was suddenly cancelled by the airlines authorities; when, only 3 days are left, behind. It was informed, that they would return the fare charged within 7 days. While moving for other flights, they do charge 3 times over the booked rate; but through other airlines. If they are unable to operate, they could not have started for booking on the specific time and date. Thereby, the passengers like me to choose some other airline, for better rate. There is no morality by the SPICEJET authorities, who did not think of the passenger, who are supposed to pay higher amount of charges, if they book at neck of the time. Atleast they could have made arrangement for booking of ticket with some other airlines on the specific date and time under internal-MOU with them. Or, they should come forward to pay the difference amount. Nothing done by them. Government regulations are also not in favour of general public; here, passenger, as a whole. Whether it is Congress or so called, BJP. O Lord Krishna ! When, the fate of the poor general public's fate would be changed according to dharma? May I see in my lifetime? Please answer Lord Krishna...

Cost : 3500 For this, nothing is refunded. Please check and refund all amounts ASAP. Total Amount to Refund : 3500 + 3850 = 7350 Regards, Snehal Deshpande.

          Spicejet services gone worst, it should be stopped immediately. Government should take immediate action to this airline. It has no job except harassing passengers, comparatively low fare attracts passenger, but it is a total trap. I strongly condemn it .

            I had been charged Rs 1000 extra for Spice Flexi seat with certain extra benefits . My luggage was delayed and complain registered as attached . Mr Anandi Krishna Maity was the officer then . I was inconvenienced by the whole things and would like FULL REFUND of my tickets money PAID .

              Dear Spicejet, We had booked for a ticket for 2 pax on 12th July 2015 under PNR K67YWP but as we could not travel we had called up the call center in Mumbai and had cancelled the ticket. We were then informed that we would get a refund with some deductions within 15 days. Its been 2 months now and we are still waiting for the refund. We have sent multiple emails with regards to this but there had been no positive reply as yet Appreciate your quick resolution to the same.

                  I have cancelled the ticket PNR Z38KGL booked online on 13th May and cancelled online around 20th of May 2015, got ack . As refund delayed, sent a mail to this address on 3rd June for which no ack received. . Hence to day contacted Helpline. I am shocked to know that my booking is still alive. However I requested the helpline to cancel the same and he confirmed cancellation. How can this airline function so negligent with its website which is misleading and no ack for my mail sent from my ID along with the copy o[censored]r ack for cancellation.? this is really bad and condemnable. Kindly expedite my refund.

                    We booked Spicejet tickets through MakeMyTrip on 14 May 2015 for travelling from Chennai to Jaipur on 18 May 2015 against MakeMyTrip Booking ID- NF[protected] for two people. We cancelled the tickets online on 15 May 2015 but we haven't received the refund amount yet. We received the confirmation of ticket cancellation also. When we contacted the company, the company refused to refund the amount saying the tickets weren't cancelled. I have attached the snapshot as proof. Kindly refer and do the needful as soon as possible.

                      It is the most pathetic airlines with illiterate staff people. I had a flight on 2nd june at 9:45A.M. from Chandigarh to Hyderabad with one stop in delhi. I reached airport at 8:30A.M.and security people told me that your flight has already left. I went to talk to spice jet staff and they told flight was preponed to 8:30 and has send they confirmation a month ago. But i didn't receive any single message regarding same. I even backed up my messages through app in case i have missed any but nothing was there. I asked if they can do something for me but they said no. They told i haven't given my personal email id as that was not there in their database but i hope everyone knows whenever you book a flight through internet you receive ticket on your mail box itself. Thats common sense i guess. And they started humiliating me and told nothing can be done not even the refund of next flight ie same connecting flight from delhi to Hyderabad. Durning that period as well they didn't even inform me that my next connecting flight ie from Delhi to Hyderabad is also postponed form 1:45 to 2:20 otherwise i would have reached delhi through my own vehicle and could have catch the flight. Rather they started putting the whole blame on me and were humiliating me in front of whole airport. The person who was attending me his name was kamal he was arguing with me and rest of them were simply smiling and least bothered. I paid another Rs. 11859 to book indigo flight and incurred a complete loss of Rs16557. Now they are not refunding even a single rupee. I suffered from humiliation, embarrassment, stress, money loss because of these stupid people. THIS IS THE WORST AIRLINES EVER.

                        during transanction my transaction got failed but money is deducted from my account. I am following customer care and nodal office through mail and phone but there is no positive response from there side till the date.its been quite frustrating and disappointing. the level of customer service experience i am facing here cant explain. here is details regarding issue, kindly do the needful action. complain number: 3347396 transaction date: 1st may 2015 amount: 8127 transaction id : sb6837905 transaction ref no.: 13648 thanks

                          3 tickets Trip ID: [protected] of clear trip.com booked from Srinagar to Delhi for travelling date of 01.06.2015 @ 12.10Hrs on 04.02.2015 well in advance. But Srinagar to Delhi flight No.SG-214 was cancelled. It is informed by the Airlines staff @ srinagar airport that the intimation was sent to our cell phone on 29.05.2015 at 21.00Hrs. As no prepaid phones work in J&K, we didn't got the information. The spice jet didn.t arranged substitute to us. We were planned to go to Hyderabad through Indigo flight No.6E-307 scheduled @20.10Hrs on the same day. Hence We has to cancel the ticket and purchase new tickets through Jetairways paying an Amount of Rs.6990/- each which left Srinagar @17.00hrs. Please refund Rs.6990*3=20970/- plus 3000/- towards taxi which we has to pay due to delay of flight in Delhi+ Rs.30000/- towards mental harassment caused to us (Total of Rs. 53970- ticket cost paid) during our well planed trip.If the same is not done within 30days (on or before 03.07.2015) we may force to lodge complaint to Consumer court for a compensation DOUBLE TO THIS AMOUNT.

                            I have experienced poor customer service in the past too, but this one has gotten me so furious that I have decided to take a legal action against the airline. My mother who injured her foot a couple of days ago was highly unfortunate to travel through Spice Jet today (Pune to Srinagar). Because of her health, we spoke to Spice Jet Customer Service several times to confirm if the luggage was directly being transferred to the destination. They confirmed that since she was boarding a connecting flight, she would not need to collect the baggage in Delhi; It would be transferred to the destination by the airline. Despite multiple confirmation calls, she was forced to collect her luggage in Delhi. She could barely walk with the luggage and had to seek help from strangers. Things were still ok until she was asked to pay for her baggage - which was lesser than the baggage allowance of the airline. She told the airport staff (Spice Jet Front Desk executives) that the Pune airport staff told her that the check in baggage was 14.7 kgs and the cabin baggage was less than 7 kgs but they refused to listen. They told her that if she didn't pay, they would not let her board the flight and she would need to sleep at the airport. BEAT THAT! The CCTV and the co passengers are a witness to this. When my mom told them that she would complain against them, they said they don't care and she could go to whoever she wants. I spoke to their Customer Care Executives who said they cannot do anything. Wrote to their Nodal Officer and Appellate but was disappointed to see an Auto Response saying 'my complaint would be addressed after 24 hours' probably after my mum has spent a day or two at the airport of a city where she does not know anyone. My mother who was dying of pain was so harassed that she gave in and paid the money. BUT I REFUSE TO STAY QUIET. And I request your support. Join me in spreading this so that the airline learns its lesson. P.S. Forgot to mention the flight delays !!!

                              My wife flight and small baby was 3rd June 2015 5.15 and my wife reached airport 4 oclock. Spice jet people are sending the postpond messge only at 3.30. when i called customer care guy and ask details of the higher authority he is miss bahaving with me saying i cannot give any numbers. my wife and baby waited 3 hours in airport. i mailed the concerned department for escalation of matter, i didnt get any repsonse. Totally disappoined with behaviour of spicejet.

                                This happened on 11th May 2015. I tried booking a round trip flight ticket from SpiceJet from Delhi to Kolkata. After all payments were done the transaction failed and my ticket was not issued. It cost me Rs 18, 122. So I booked the ticket again next morning. I gave a few hours gap so that if the ticket has already been booked and may be i didn't receive i can get it within the gap of 12 hours. But since there was no email from SpiceJet i booked my ticket again. I also dropped an email to SpiceJet and requested the refund (since getting connected to them via telephone is like winning a lottery). And I have been following up since 12th May and I have not received the refund yet. The customer service team performance is very disappointing. They do not reply to emails and have no concrete update on the status of the complaint. I had to bear 4% interest on my credit card because of their negligence. The complaint number is CR/ 348120/2015. It will be great if something can be done about it and i can get back the money ASAP.

                                  To whomsoever it may concern, I do not understand what you guys have been working on over 20 days. All that you need to do is track the transaction and refund the amount debited from my account. The very moment the transaction failed (which happened due to the error in your website), I called the customer care and filed a complaint for which I was informed it would take 7 days to refund but now it is more than 20 days. However, till date no action has been taken apart from me making several calls to your customer care team and receiving mails from you guys which is of no help. The last call I made to the Customer care I was informed that a senior member would get in touch with me and help me get my money back and as usual it is just words written in air and I have not received any call or update about the refund apart from monotonous useless mail stating that the complaint is in process. I have been really patient with your organization and would greatly appreciate if you guys stick to the tagline that you promote Whatever We Do, We Do It With All Our Heart and work with all your heart for the satisfaction of your customer who is being dodged big time because of the organization's lethargy and inability to fulfill the commitment given by your representatives. It is not just one customer that you would be losing but in fact the reputation of SpiceJet which is at stake. I Expect a prompt action to be taken by any one member who is responsible or who has authority in this organization to speed up the process and ensure my money is refunded at the earliest.

                                    This incident occurred on 1st June, 2015. The spice jet employees handled our flight cancellations very poorly. No people were found there to handle the customers or provide any help whatsoever. The employees were rude to the highest degrees and proceeded to ask useless as well as stupid questions. We were asked why we had been waiting inside the airport and told that any other flight or hotel arrangements should have been made outside. Considering that our flight was scheduled at 5:50 pm and we were there for all of two hours, it is safe to say that your employees are completely at fault. Since we could not leave the airport without a Spice jet employee and no other arrangements had been made, we had patiently been making our own arrangements. We are not asking for any unreasonable requests. We understand the airline's predicament. After all, cancellations happen all the time. However, the way the employees treated us was deplorable and request that in the future, you give employees basic service training. We are very disappointed with Spice Jet and could not with our conscience recommend this service to anyone. We hope you will improve your services and take this as constructive criticism. ( I sincerely hope that you will find the shameful employee and teach him the most basic of etiquette! I will apologize though for raising my voice. Although I hope you agree that the situation called for it!)

                                      I had booked a connecting SpiceJet Flight for two from Jammu to Bengaluru having the PNR no. BBQ9JX via goibibo on MAY 19 2015. The flight was booked for JUNE 3 2015 summing to Rs. 19054. I received a telephonic call today viz MAY 30 2015 saying that the SpiceJet flight has been cancelled from their end. When I asked the SpiceJet Executive to shift me to another flight, he responded saying that all the flight tickets have been sold out. This has created a lot of inconvenience to me as I am not getting any other flight within my reach as the prices have now been shooted up by Rs. 5000. When requested to refund the amount, they are not ready to refund me the whole amount and saying that it will take 30 days to process. It is unfortunate that in the era of IT and Telecommunication, to refund an amount of money it takes a period of 30 days!! It is my request that my refund claim of amount Rs. 19054 be processed within 24-48 hours.

                                        Hello, The cancellation amount of flight SG- 529 from Guwahati to Bangalore, with Airline PNR F1U8NL which was booked using card for 5th Jan, 2015 cancelled on 16th December, 2014 at the Bangalore Airport has not yet been received. I've tried contacting the SpiceJet customer care service, but unfortunately there has not been a single concern from their end. Whenever i try explaining the matter, they cut my call everytime.
