I wish to share our personal experience to us with Vasan Eye Care. Their tactics to catch the patient is by giving free lunch and distributing free eye check up 3 tokens to every body who had visited their free lunch and eye care camp. By giving Rs. 70/- cost lunch to one persons, they are simply circulating 3 or 4 tokens to them. to bring their elders of their family for free eye checking. By doing so they simply recommend for costly operation. By they way they will advise, that you (patnent) had come here at the right time. If any further delay we will simply lost our vision. In this way of threatening method. Generally our elders having worry about their fate simply go for surgery without any second openion with other doctors. and also they will never listen to their family members advise. Like this one of senior family member caught in their trap. The doctor named Prema done this operation in TTK Road, Alwarpet Branch. She had done two operation on the same day in single eye. After this the patient administered 10 different types of eye drops. After doing the treatment follow-up the patient lost his total vision and the eye become like loose nose, by always discharging water on it. After the operation, when we are keep on visiting here for the last 15 days. She simply keep on changing the drops and trying to do something. But the patient feel extreme pain from the eye to whole head. As we don't take further risk on it, and checked with other senior doctor in Anna nagar. By cheking the patient eye. That doctor sais. The doctor had totally damaged the eye. It is very difficult to rocover it. But they assured they will try. But doing this process we have to spend time, money and pain on it. We again gone with this treatement cours which was lasted for more than 3 months. Finally we got 25% vision. On the whole we spent nearly 3 lakhs. Now the patient is having the vision 50% of the vision he had before the operation in Vasan Eye Care, TTK Road. Please be aware. It seems they running this show as franchisee model. They only aim is making money. May be some political bigwig behind it. Other wise such open cheating will not happen in our country. See their advertisement in all the media. As per the Medical council terms. No Hospital having right to advertise by them self through any media as per the article 16 of the terms. But here everything is going on freely. Awareness is the only wealth we have. Try to circulate this information as much to your friends and relatives. Now a days when we go to bank. There 3 people from vasan eye care sitting and giving tokens for free eye check. Please try to avoid by falling in their trap.

    I checked my eyes in Vaasan Eye Care, Ambur (Vellore dist). Previously I had the Eye power of -2.75 (minus two point seven five) cylindrical but when I went for the regular check up they prescribed me with very low power, when asked to Doctor she replied that my power has been reduced . Then I made a Glass of the given new prescription. But that was totally wrong powers, and my whole money gone waste. Really very sad about this Vaasan Eye Care's bad testing.     I am sorry you had a bad experience. But I have t differ from your statement. After an accident, my little sister couldn’t see properly and had to use highly powerful specs. For the past 6 years we had looking for alternative options to cure her and finally we went to Vasan. There she received proper treatment. The doctors were considerate and helped us get through this. Now my sister has to wear a low power specs, which the doctors say she can get rid off in less than a year.

      Misguiding and fake promises

      I Yusuf Anwar paid advance money of Rs 25000 for my cataract surgery on 05/04/2104 UID No. 21971 to Vasan Eye Care kanpur branch. I was told the lens would be available in 20 days for the surgery and now its over one an a half month and still lens is missing. Worst case I am not getting any proper information from them.. On daily basis they making excuses. The exact date of lens availability is still not clear. It's absolutely shame and...

      the vasen eye care, vskp has fixed eye operation on 7-3-2014 at 11am after through verification medical reports i.e., blood, urin, etc. duly paid an amunt of Rs.1180/-. under cashless through appolo munich. myself attend for operation i.e., catract surgery on that day, at a last minute the hospital staff informed that your proposal not approved by the insurance company and postponed the surgery. myself through enquiry the proposal submitted by the hospital, they are mentioned in the form as dieabitec mellitious (DM)patient actually i am diabetic patientfrom 2012 onwards but is under control by using table every day. during the year 2012 myself one eye operated through cashless by the hospital only on that proposal they have not mentioned and obtained approval. but in this irregularly submitted proposals as a result i am suffering allot for non completion of operation. Therefore I request to take suitable action and to see the operation completed through cashless at an earliest.

        negligence in receiving approval from insurance agency

They told me and convinced me to take Kodak K-plus lens. But there was some issue with the lens with in 5 months..         Sir Am Rajesh Kumar Methuku from Andhra Pradesh. As i went to check my eye sight to Vasan Eye Care which is located in Ammerpet, Hyderabad Branch.as all the required medical examination done by the doctor and they have to supposed to give my medical case file but they are not giving and they said its an company rule not to issue medical case file of the patient.I don't know what is the company rule and why they are behaving like this.There is no rule like, not to give or issue medical case file to patient in MCI Site.As consumer i have right to have my file from the Hospital.

          Hi I had got my eye test done in Vasan Eye Care Shimoga, where I was told about increase in my specs power after whole day investigation. When I ordered the specs FRAME alone coasted 2500 Rs and I was told to choose high index lenses as I had high power. Totally bill came up to 8500 Rs. They even promised that my specs glasses will be thin as I chose high index lens. When I got my specs,I got the shock. It was very thick and I used to get irritation whenever I wore that. I used to get headache and my eyes used to water so bad By then I had shifted to Bangalore, so I consulted Vasan Eye Care in Bommasandra There again they tested my eyes and told my specs power has not changed at all..!! Still they were forcing me to wear the new specs which were prescribed by Shimoga VIC, to get adjusted. I didn’t agree and told them to give my money back.. till now they have not agreed for refunding.. When there was no change in power why they prescribed new specs?? Now they are telling they can only change the lens of my spces according to new prescription given by Vasan Eye Care Bommasandra.. When my old spec is fine, why I should spend 8500 for new specs with same power?? Please don’t go to Vasan Eye Care even by chance

          I am really sorry you had to face such an experience, but I have to say that I have rather received a better response from their team. I have been to other eye care centres before, both in Amritsar and Bangalore, but consistent headache and eye strain got reduced after I visited the Bangalore branch of Vasan. Presently my mother is also undergoing treatment there.
          Sorry that you had such an experience. It was different for me when I visited the Vasan Delhi branch.

            I went for my normal eye checkup and they said me there are holes in some part of eye supporting feature.and had to undergo minor laser treatment that will cost around 2300/- ,5 to 10 minutes ,no need of any rest required. Eye power they told as -4.25 on one eye & -4.75 on the other eye.

            I checked with another eye hospital - they said I dont have any hole , everything is perfect and also power is -1.25 & -1.50.

            what the hell is they are doctor ?

              Diabetes tests are wrong for eye cataract operation

              I had my mother diagnosed for cataract operation and the staff in lab are not able to get correct random diabetic result and they show it is 316 for post pasting than when diagnoised outside where it showed 216. Also there is no adequate disposables are available being a large world renowed hospital. The staff is also inexperienced with newly appointed....

              My mother (45 years, no diabetes and blood pressure) was suffering from blurred vision and headache last year(2012 April ). We went to Vasan eye care cause we found it to be very well equipped and had a good name( cause of marketing) . They conducted several tests which lasted for almost 2 hours and the doctor told she needs to wear glasses for both short sight and long sight(nothing else was told). Now (2013 feb) her condition persisted and got much worse ( very blurred vision) so we decided to go to some other doctor. This time the doctor diagnosed a cataract in her eye and he told that it must have started before around 3 years back and it developed slowly because she had no blood pressure or diabetes . A well equipped hospital like vasan should have diagnosed it better..... at that time the cataract must have been in early stage but it had shown symptoms like vision blur and headache so i think it must have been detectable by their tests...... i would put it on their bad diagnosis or carelessness ......
              I am not actually certain why you feel that way. I had taken my mother there (Vasan Ernakulam) a few months back, and she had received good treatment.She is 60 and was diagnosed with cataracts. At Vasan, she was treated well by the doctors, and now she is able to see better. The staff members were also very polite with her. Now she is perfectly fine, and has started reading as well, with less difficulty than before.
              Anyway, I am sorry that you had a different experience. Hope your mother is all well now. Good day...

                my mother Mrs Charu Ojha who is 76 years old was given date for surgery on 26/1/2013 but was refused as they were not having minimum four patient.it was too much difficult to make my mother climb stairs up and down,vasan eye care is bulffing the patient and they do not care the difficulties of their patient they are only to make profits.

                  My mother is 60 years old. On 10th Oct 2012, I took her to Vasan eye care in Adyar for normal eye check up.Her ID - 53149, We met Dr.Krishnakumar, he said my mom has cataract in both the eyes and she has to be operated immediately. They asked us to wait, there was one staff who poured drops of liquid in my mom's eyes and asked us to wait for half an hr, within half an hr he poured eye drops almost 3 times with an interval of every 7 mins and volume of liquid poured was 2 - 3 drops on each eye for every 7 mins gap, post which, we again met the doctor he reconfirmed stating she needs to do cataract immediately and made us to consult one of their staffs on diff lenses and the costs for it, we said we will go for it in matter of 2 months time but to my shock my mom's eyes became red and completely swollen the next day and it still continues. Need to visit some good clinic to bring back her normal eye vision.So pissed off the way they have handled things, her eyes looked clear and much better before the consultation. Its such a horrible experience. People visit your place to gain proper eyesight but in turn just for money, you guys screw even the normal eyes.Vasan eye care Adyar - Very bad and horrible

                    I went for a routine eye examination for change of glasses to Vasan Eye Care in Nellore on 7/9/2012. I was prescribed glasses. After spending Rs 3,000/- for glasses, I found that the I could not use the glasses as its power was too high. I went to the Hospital. The doctors very reluctantly agreed that there was some mistake in giving lens power and agreed to change the glasses. Nothing was heard from them and after repeated calls gave me the glasses with rectified lens power. The second glasses too had wrong power and I could not read using the glasses. Meanwhile I complained to Vasan HQ about the wrong prescription. On 22/9/2012 Manager, local Hospital called me and promised to rectify the defect. Accordingly I sent my glasses to the Hospital on 22/9. After my repeated calls, on 27/9 someone called from the Hospital and asked to come to Hospital to test again.With two wrong prescription of lens power and callousness on the part of customer care who did not care about the glasses for 6 days,I preferred to go to some other hospital. I cannot go on wasting my time with this sort of hospitals. If the hospital cannot prescribe proper lens even on second time, I dread to think of eye operations! Friends Beware of Vasan Eye Care.

                      Hi,

                      I had taken my father (Patient code-47667) to vasan Eye care Adyar , for undergoing cataract surgery on 18/06/2012.Due to some pre-existing medical conditions the surgery was aborted at the last minute.I did pay 9000 rupees for the cataract surgery through my credit card, however since the surgery was not done, i was expecting for a refund.Under normal circumstances, the refund will show on your credit card in 10 working days, if they cancel the transaction. I did give them 10 days, 1month and now it is going to be two months and i am still expecting for a refund. When i called them, they said it does take one month time for them to get the money from the bank who issued the credit card, and once they receive the money, they will provide me a cheque. Its been more than a month and a half and i am still awaiting for the refund, while i am paying the interest for the charges on my credit card. When asked for an explanation for the delay, the staff namely ABUL, PRASANTH and ROOSEVALT were very rude and didn't even show some courtesy. Roosevalt who is the accounts manager for Adyar gave me a silly explanation stating that the cheque is ready and they are awaiting for a signature from their managing director or the so called chairman for Vasan eye care "the world's largest eye care network" DR.Arun Nair who is currently on an overseas tour.

                      Optolabs — Misleading display of information - Reimbursement of money paid

                      I ordered a pair of spectacles for my son from Optolabs outlet situated at 12th Main, 30th Cross, 4th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore -11;
                      I took the delivery of the article on 06.05.09 after paying a total amount of Rs3390/-, I was however, not issued an invoice. When I enquired, I was told that there is some problem in the network, hence the Sales staff is unable to process the same.
                      There is a bold notice conspicuously placed in the shop with the declaration "in case you are not issued a computerised invoice, you get your purchase for free". I was not issued any invoice even a hand written one, let alone a computerised one.
                      I wanted the showroom to fulfill their public committment based on their declaration, the staff of the co directed me to make my complaint to [protected]@zeiss.in. I made a complaint the same day, but did not get a satisfactory response (but a scanned copy of the invoice was sent).
                      Later, I again wrote on 08.05.09 to the person who replied to my message, but there has not been any response from the co.'s end.
                      I approach you with a request to provide me relief in two steps from the company :
                      1) The company / showroom reimburses the purcahse value of my transaction of 06.05.09
                      2) They should be counselled not to display such misleading notices which they cannot honour.

                      I seek your feedback on my complaint.

                        I visited Vasan Eye Care in Cochin in Feb 2012 for checking out the right spectacles required for my short shortsightedness. Though in the initial visits, they seem to be caring and showing professionalism. After the initial checkup was completed, I was advised to go for opticals from their center. I informed being a first time user, I need their guidance to select the right frame and lenses, here started the trap was laid. I was lured with all the fancy and expensive frames and lenses available and promised with all warranty or replacement or guarantee for any kind of problems if any. After I selected the frame and lenses of my choice, I received the spectacles within a week. When I found some problems of misalignment and problem using the spectacles, I informed them about this and they were trying to convince that it is becos of my first time use, that I feel these issues. They advised me to continue using for two weeks. Again after using for almost a month, it was a nightmare to put on my specs. I approached them again, now they asked me to leave it there for them to check it thoroughly. After a week, when I collected my spectacles, I was told there were some problems with the lenses and it has been replaced (as promised). Now I found another problem that its transition feature was not functional (day night). Again when complained they replaced the lenses. Now this problem was resolved, I found the specs having issues of selective areas on the lenses having different viewing power. When I reported this, I was told that this is what they can offer, if I need a better lens I have to shell out more money!! When I told them I would report this to their management and consumer court, they dont seem to be perturbed (as it can be seen from the various complaints on the internet).

                        After paying more than Rs. 20,000 for the frame and lenses if I have to go through all these pains, I'm surely not a person to be satisfied and to keep quite. I dont think it we (as consumers) should keep quite with these kind of day light robbery. If they are not bothered or concerned about consumers like us, they dont exist. Consumers, it is your eye and money. Wake up, dont get cheated or lured. Plz avoid VASAN Eye Care anywhere in India.

                        care — Cleaniness of HauzKhas Village Parking

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        I wish to bring the notice of concerned authority that MCD approved authorised parking located in historical Hauz Khas Village, SouthDelhi is in a very bad state. The parking area stinks with dead rodents, garbage throwing, contruction material and other things. The parking area has not been cleaned for many years even after repititve request to parking incharge. There is a need to take immediate action to get the area cleaned.

                        Even i had the bad experience.I brought Spectacles on Jan 25 2013, not even 3 months.The frame is broken.when i approched them i got answer is you might have broken the frame by force.I need to wear the specs everyday then why should i break the frame.When i asked them to replace the frame, they are not ready to do as they are saying mangement is not reday to replace.If they dont help us then no point of such hospitals.i would request each & everyone not go to VASAN EYE CARE
                        I had a different experience at their Bangalore branch. Their services were good there.

                          I got my eyes tested at VASAN EYE CARE, Anna Nagar ( East) on 12.02.12. My regn no 97091. Based on the prescription given i ordered the spectacles in Anna Nagar. On wearing the new spectacles i found that my reading the letters was difficult & they appeared flowery.

                          I again consulted Vasan Eye Care on 26.02.12 and after examination the doctor told me that the power given by them is correct but the optical shop had done a mistake in the lens supplied by reversing the " Cylinder power to + " as against " - " . They asked me to complain to the optical shop.

                          But when i asked for the current prescription the print out showed a corrected power.

                          Hence the complaint is " FALSE PRESCRIPTION BY VASAN EYE CARE" and i have incurred a damage of Rs3940 towards making a new spectacle as per their prescription. More over VASAN EYE CARE DOES NOT OWN THE MISTAKE".

                          I need an immediate solution and replacement of the spectacles by VASAN EYE CARE at their cost.

                          Hello,

                          I am forced to give police complaint towards (Vasan eye care- K4 police station, Anna nagar east) especially on DR. Manjula. we came into vasan eye care thinking that its a best eye care hospital but i regret. My sister had irritation and itching in both her eyes so We visited the same branch on[protected] at 10am. Her eyes 4r dark red such that she was not able to open her eyes even and for no reason she was forced to check refraction and when i asked for the reason your attendant there gave a reply as "ITS FOR VASAN EYE CARE DOCUMENTATION PURPOSE"

                          Then we consulted DR.Manjula after 12pm for only 1minute since she was in hurry she was not able to tell why my sister had burning itching red eye and simply she gave the below medicines:
                          1. Ketoflex, Lubrex, Ocupol.

                          I Filed a complaint for the below reasons:

                          1. Checking refraction when patient is looking for emergency treatment.
                          2. My Sister is blind now for giving wrong medicines.

                          Vasan eye care is the worst eye care hospital and you can change the saying as WORST EYE CARE NETWORK IN THE WORLD.

                          You people should really answer for my sister eyes..

                          I will post the prescription in FACEBOOK and post to all doctors.

                            I bought a spectacles with progressive lens made of fibre in March 2010. Within six months the frames got itches and within a year the lens got scratches to the extent that I can not use it anymore. Where as the one I bought from a local eye hospital 5 years ago still works well. Vasan people made me buy a new spectacles saying that my power has increased to +1.5 on both eyes from +1.0. Even now I could manage with specs with +1.0 power comfortably.

                            I brought a new spectacle with doctor verification in chrompet on june but my spectacle had a problem so i went december month to eye care with proper bills but they are not responding properly and they said not able to do repair ur spectacle . My spectacle amount is 25, 000/-

                              If chairman is not taking any action there will be bunch of employees who want to earn money simply sitting,doing politics no patient service.

                              no descipline at all, no time management.

                              Hr is a sitting duck.
