On 19/04/24, I ordered 2 masala dosai and 1 plain dosai online in Hot Chips, Ashok Nagar through Zomato app. When I received the food package, I could see only two parcels in it. Then, I called the person who delivered it and he said while receiving the package, he saw only two parcels in it.
When I raised this issue with the customer care of Zomato, they did not respond properly. They took 3 days to reach to the restaurant to enquire about the order. Today (22/04/24) they mailed me saying the restaurant has assured that they have placed all the 3 parcels based on the order.
My question is if the restaurant has sent the package with all the food items ordered but the customer has not received it completely, the delivery partner should only be held responsible for this hassle.
However, these Zomato people are not claiming any responsibility for their mistake and say that they cant process refund .
Last time a similar issue (items missing in parcel) happened with the same delivery partner (Zomato), but last time what they said is the issue is with restaurant since the restaurant has not packaged all the items ordered .
Hence, Zomato cannot take responsibility of it.
I want Zomato to refund all the money I paid for this order and the last order and promise me to not repeat the same issue and take responsibility of their mistakes.
