    Recharge activation.

    Subject: Request for Immediate Suspension of Service and Resolution of Billing Issues

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unsatisfactory services I have experienced with Airtel in connection to my broadband account, and to demand an immediate resolution to the ongoing issues. It is highly disheartening to witness how a reputed brand like Airtel is conducting its operations in a manner that not only overlooks customer grievances but also perpetuates unnecessary financial burdens on its customers.

    Background of the Issue:
    I have not been using Airtel broadband services since January 2024. However, despite ceasing usage of the service, I have continued to receive bills every month without any break. This situation has been ongoing for almost a year, causing me significant distress, both financially and mentally. As a responsible customer, I have taken all the necessary steps to notify your customer service team on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, my repeated requests have either been ignored or handled with extreme inefficiency.

    It is alarming to note that although I have submitted numerous complaints, the responses have been consistently inadequate. I have raised issues about the following key points:

    Non-usage of services since January 2024, yet continuing to receive bills.
    Repeated requests for service suspension or termination, which have been completely ignored or left unresolved.
    Attempts to shift the service location, which were also disregarded as no one from the Airtel team followed up or visited the premises for the requested shift.
    Failure of Service:
    There is a clear lack of responsiveness from Airtel’s side. I have engaged with your customer service team several times, but the problems persist:

    Each time I raised a request for shifting, no technician or representative from Airtel ever visited to complete the process.
    Upon deciding that I no longer required the service, I requested service suspension, which also fell on deaf ears. Each time, I noticed that the complaints were automatically marked as resolved in the system without any actual action or even consultation with me as the customer.
    Impact on Customer Trust:
    This negligence has caused me significant financial strain. For months, I have been charged for a service that I did not use. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, I feel that I have been continuously overlooked by Airtel. This experience has caused unnecessary stress, disrupted my financial planning, and subjected me to undue harassment.

    The fact that this has been allowed to happen repeatedly is not only an example of poor service but also suggests a serious systemic issue within Airtel’s customer care and grievance resolution process. It is truly disappointing that in a country like India, companies with vast financial resources can operate with such impunity, often making a mockery of customer rights and consumer protection laws.

    My Formal Request:
    I urge you to take the following actions immediately:

    Suspend my broadband service with immediate effect and stop the generation of any further bills.
    Reverse or waive off all bills issued after January 2024, since the service has not been used during this time.
    Conduct a thorough investigation into the handling of my previous complaints, ensuring accountability for the negligence and lack of action from your side.
    Provide a clear explanation in writing regarding why these issues have been mishandled, along with a confirmation that my requests will be resolved.
    If these actions are not taken within the next seven days, I will be left with no other option but to pursue legal action against Airtel for financial harassment and the continuous violation of my consumer rights. I have meticulously documented each instance of communication with your service representatives and will present this evidence to the Consumer Court should this issue remain unresolved.

    Conclusion:
    It is unfortunate that such a situation has escalated to this point. As a longstanding customer, I expected better from Airtel. I hope that my concerns are treated with the seriousness they deserve, and I look forward to a prompt resolution that includes the suspension of services and the correction of billing errors.

    Please ensure that my complaint is escalated to the highest level within your organization and that appropriate measures are taken without any further delay. If the necessary steps are not taken, I will pursue legal recourse to ensure that my rights as a consumer are upheld.

      Sub.: Issuance of illegal Bill dt. 9th October 2024 allegedly on the false premise of activation of international roaming admittedly without any request at all.

      Dear Sir

      I am shocked to receive the monthly bill for September 2024 for my no. [protected], claiming levy of international roaming charges for two days i.e. 10th & 11th September 2024, when no roaming was ever requested by me, nor was it ever made known to me as to on whose request & under which authority, any such thing was done, if at all it was done.

      At the outset, it is important to note that a complaint had already been made on this subject on 11th September, when I realised that something was amiss and Airtel customer care executive had stated that they could not do anything at that time as the system was not reflecting anything on that date and it was promised that my complaint had been recorded and will be taken care of. But the Bill generated on 09.10.2024 shows that nothing was done and the same is in contravention to whatever was discussed & promised on my complaint dated 11 September 2024 (screenshot attached).

      This necessitates a serious enquiry and it seems that fraudulent algorithms have been put in place by the company to cheat its customers, which will become very clear from the details given below:

      1. I was travelling to UK and reached there on 10th September 2024 and I had already activated my roaming on another number which I was carrying, so there was no occasion or requirement for me to have roaming on two numbers and phone was simply present with me. I reached London in the morning of 10th September 2024 BST. On the next morning day around 8.30 am, I noticed that some spam / bank messages were received on my number and using another number on which I had activated roaming, I immediately called & asked my wife to call Airtel customer care to ask how this was happening. I did not use this number [protected] to even call Airtel customer care from UK. Upon my complaint, the customer care executive said that roaming had got automatically activated on this number.

      2. It is important that Airtel has different international roaming packages and if at all a customer is interested in having international roaming, he has to choose one of these and make a request for its activation, which is the process followed in the past with me personally as well.

      3. I had recently travelled to Sri Lanka with this number and upon landing on 19.06.2024, my phone was not working and since this was the only number which I was carrying, we had to request for activation of my roaming. I was told that it cannot be done like this and I have to choose a package and make a request for its activation. Upon which, a package of international roaming for INR 2999 for 10 days was chosen by me and upon my request, it was activated. I came back to India on 25th June 2024 and in any case, this pack expired on 28.06.2024.

      4. So this bogey of automatic activation is fake and at the very least, designed to cheat the customers. The above story has been given because the customer care executive initially tried to hide behind the plea and justify the illegality by saying that international roaming gets automatically activated, which is false, illegal and fraudulent and gross misrepresentation.

      5. Thereupon, the Airtel customer care executive admitted that no request had been made by me and this was done without my request, as the Airtel internal systems were not showing any request or selection of international roaming package by me. She then stated that if I had not made the request, then charges will not be payable by me, but showed her inability to do anything about it at that stage because she was not in a position to confirm anything as nothing was getting reflected in the system at that point of time i.e. morning of 11th September 2024. She promised that we do not have anything to worry and it will be taken care of and we should be patient till the bill get generated.

      6. I have been your Airtel customer since a very long time and trusted your word on this and waited for the bill to get generated. However, I am shocked to receive the bill claiming international roaming charges. The bill shows only messages form some unrecognizable numbers and there are no calls of even 1 second call duration. Just because I had used roaming in the past, I became vulnerable to be pushed into this trap of international roaming charges and it seems that similar practices are being followed with other customers as well. I really don’t know how much money Airtel makes through such illegal acts and your algorithms have to be disclosed & examined to expose the same.

      In view of the above, I request you to immediately reverse these charges and issue a proper bill which I can pay within time because I have not defaulted on any of my bills for any reason. It may be noted the last date for paying the bill is 19th October 2024 and if it is not done before that, I will be constrained to take legal action in the matter against Airtel and all connected, in addition to my all-other rights as a consumer.
      I sincerely hope that some responsible person at higher level will investigate the matter and get the systems corrected. Awaiting urgent response and action at your end.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding Airtel’s poor service and lack of resolution to my issue. I have been using Airtel Wi-Fi (DSL[protected], and since 08 September 2024, the Wi-Fi has not been functioning. Despite registering my complaint 10 times with Airtel, no action has been taken to resolve the problem.

        Furthermore, after facing such poor service, I requested a disconnection of the Wi-Fi service. However, instead of addressing my disconnection request, Airtel is forcing me to shift to a new plan with a complimentary 200 Mbps speed and a smart setup box for my TV, which I have declined multiple times. Despite my refusal, they continue to pressurize me into accepting the offer and have been generating bills even though the service is not in use.

        This has caused me considerable distress and inconvenience. I kindly request your intervention in this matter to ensure the following:

        1. Immediate disconnection of my Airtel Wi-Fi service (DSL[protected].
        2. Cessation of any further billing for the service from the date of non-functionality, 08 September 2024.
        3. An appropriate resolution to my outstanding complaints.

        Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope for a swift and satisfactory resolution.

          I have port my sim from jio to airtel. I am able to receive calls. but not able to do recharge. I tried to do by thanks app the money has been debited but recharge has not been done. this has happened 2 times. due to which I'm unable to make calls.

            In month of july when plan rates were increased, I did a year pack of 2999 on my Airtel number [protected], since that day I've been facing network issues which is very poor. Also my family members are having an airtel sim too. Facing a problem on all sim of airtel.

            If call connects, then I'm unable to talk properly inside room, I've to go outside for better connection.

            Even internet connection speed is very much poor not even at 2g speed. Most of the time I've faced speed problem, and till now facing speed problem.

            Everytime I have to open an airplane mode then off for better connectivity which last only for 3-5 minutes I guess.

            It's been more than 3 months now. I've paid for an year, their plan and services are not even worth it.

            All such ads of airtel regarding anything are all fake with full of lies.

            I would request you to sort this issue as soon as possible,

            Or kindly refund my remaining money of 9 months, so that I can port to another sim, which is definitely far better than airtel.

            Else I've to bear a loss eventually.

              Airtel has installed a pole in front of my house.

              Airtel has dug the road and installed a pole in front of my house. This is an obstacle to the entrance of the house. There are sewage pipes underneath as well.

              I request you to please have this pole removed or moved from the location and install it a little further ahead of my location.

              Airtel broadband was down in ujjain since 22nd sep 2024 till 25th sep 2024. Ther was no backup solution provided during these days, even after emails to appellate authority (Mr. Devendra jain) no positive responses were received. Calling on customer care, talking to dedicated relationship managers was all of no use. When asked for compensation they are denying. When asked for disconnection they are sending multiple unwanted calls to us asking for the reason to disconnect. I had only asked for a fair compensation which i had to incur during these 3 days for my top ups to airtel sim for data and travel expenses to office as i had to go to office in spite WFH.

                sim forcefully converted from prepaid connection to postpaid

                One of my 4g sim stopped working suddenly, when I reached airtel store they told that it is an electronic thing and can stop anytime. I submitted whatever documents were required to reissue a new sim. They took 50 rupee and on top of that forcefully converted my prepaid sim to postpaid saying that is the only option available.

                I checked with Airtel customer care and they confirmed that prepaid will be converted to prepaid only.br...

                I recharged my mobile number [protected] by mistake for international roaming package of Rs2997- It was overlooked by me as I was trying for yearly recharge to avoid recharging every month.
                I approached the customer care as well as Airtel they said me that refund or adjustment is not possible.
                Sir it will be huge unbearable loss to poor person like me if my money amounting to Rs 2997 is confiscated by company like Airtel.
                Request to please look into the matter and ask Airtel to at least convert that International roaming pack into my Recharge package Amy money will be utilised and Airtel will also at no loss.

                  Airtel wifi frequent disconnect

                  Airtel wifi is not working properly. Despite of of multiple complaints, they try to resolve only via online and cleverly they do no raise any ticket.

                  not sure how tele caller will resolve the issue remotely when the router or other hardware of very bad quality. I could get wifi within 10 feet from the router.

                  Dear Team,
                  It is a matter complete misrepresentation from your honored Wi-Fi Team. I have applied for relocating my Wi-Fi from U.P. to Delhi on 29th August, 2024. It is a matter of fact that you are unable to comply with the services that you promise with your customers. With utmost regards, I'm filing a consumer complaint regarding my issue. It will be deemed that you've failed on part and procrastinating it everyday since 15 days. The Wi-Fi subscription was prepaid for 6 months. I no more rely upon your shallow service. My money is not looted but earned. Please initiate my refund or install a new Wi-Fi as you can't compensate to my time wasted everyday to file my complaints and loss which i incurred.

                    I have been using Airtel since 2016, and my father has been using it since 2010. However, in recent times, Airtel's service has been declining, and the customer care representatives act as if they own the company. In my location, the 5G network is not available. I raised a complaint about this three months ago, but it has not been resolved. Today, on September 11, 2024, at around 11:15 AM, I called customer care, and the representative's behavior was terrible; he even disconnected the call abruptly. I would like to raise a complaint against Airtel for false advertising, and their customer service is consistently unhelpful whenever I face issues.

                      I had requested for a disconnection / termination of my WIFI connection "[protected]" on July 1st 2024, The account on that date had a credit balance of Rs.475 + . Airtel instead of processing my request for disconnection has placed my account in safe custody & charged me "safe custody charges" ( I was not informed of the safe custody charges by their retention team. ) This neutralized the credit balance in my WIFI account and created a debit balance. On pointing out the same they issued a credit of Rs.400+ to my account but again charged me safe custody charges and created a negative balance on the account.
                      This cycle is being repeated repeatedly and I am being harassed with collection calls. Airtel is not acting on the request to disconnect my connection and refund the credit balance of Rs.475+ as on the date of the first disconnection request.
                      The calls made to Airtel customer service requesting for the disconnection are as follows:
                      1. July 1st 2024 at 8:49 AM
                      2. July 12th 2024 2 calls at 13:15hrs & 13:09 hours.
                      3. July 28th 2024 at 11:32 AM
                      4. August 6th 2024 at 18:22 hrs & 18:53 hrs - 2 calls.
                      5.August 9th 2 calls at 8:52 Am and again at 8:50 AM.
                      6. August 27th at 18:07 hrs
                      7. August 31st at 11:28 AM and again today
                      8. September 6th 2024 atat 12:44 PM.

                      This only reflective of the company's (AIRTEL) attitude towards customer complaints and their lack of a robust complaint handling procedure. It is sheer lack of empathy for the customer. Please investigate and have the company address my concerns and also award a suitable compensation for the harassment being caused by the company (Airtel).

                        I, Dr. Pramod Kulkarni, am filing this complaint against Airtel regarding misleading sales information, incorrect billing, abrupt service disconnection, and, most importantly, the complete lack of communication from Airtel regarding these issues. My Airtel Air Fiber account is registered under the name Atharva Pramod Kulkarni, with the following details:

                        - **Airtel Air Fiber Account Number:**[protected]
                        - **5G SIM Number:** [protected] (supposed to be activated for the Air Fiber account)
                        - **Bill Number:** MF2527L[protected]

                        ### **Key Issues:**

                        1. **Misleading Sales Information:**
                        - Airtel's sales executive, Mr. Kuldeep Dubal, assured me that the Air Fiber service would include a landline connection, which was not provided upon installation on **1st August 2024**.

                        2. **Unauthorized Billing:**
                        - I made an advance payment of ₹3300 via ICICI Credit Card (UPI Transaction ID:[protected] for the Airtel Air Fiber service, but only ₹1955 is reflected as advance rental. Additionally, I was incorrectly billed ₹699/month under a DTH plus plan, even though I subscribed to the ₹499 plus GST plan and did not receive any DTH service.

                          I have been facing internet issues for the past 20 hrs. This is not for me but my entire surrounding area. My place is situated in Tirunelveli Dist, Nanguneri Tk, Thirukkurungudi and the postal code is 627115.

                          Internet issue occurred last evening around 3PM but not yet resolved even raised a complaint to 198 and the timeline is Sept 3rd. But they do not provide any compensation. I have paid for it already. They are not considering our trouble
