I had purchased an iphone SE on 30/06/2017, the "out of the box" phone was unable to activate. I tried it for two days and contacted apple customer care for the same, they suggested me to upgrade the OS and activate via itunes, which i tried for two more days i.e. untill 04/06/2017 where eventually things dint work, the phone however now had a new issue it was stuck between software upgrade. I visited Ample customer care at RT nagar bangalore on 04/06/2017 and explained the same.
1) The executive took the complaint as " phone stuck at recovery mode" which was not the actual issue. then asked me to wait for 1 hr for rectifying the issue. after the check he confirmed that there was some issue with the device and it'll be sent to apple service center, when asked for a standby device, he gave me Ample customer care number[protected] and said to ask for the same there.
2) when called for customer care, they are saying it's in the hands of service center and for "recovery stuck" kind of issue a standby device cannot be provided.
3) when asked for contact details of right authority with whom i could speak about my issue, neither service center nor customer care executive are providing me with the same.
4) the issue is from day one of purchase, i.e. 30/06/207 (do check the case history) but the concerned executive from customer care says "they are concerned only from the date from which the device is received its only been two days now, wait for two more" now i need to wait till 10/06/2017 just to know the status of the device. there is no guarantee of the repair/replacement within that also.
already i am out of communication for 6 days, now they are asking me to stretch for 4 more days, is this what we get even after paying such ransom??

I am definitely taking this issue to apple customer care and also consumer court if things doesn't happen.

    This is regarding RAF No.SMP1257496.

    I had purchased my Apple Iphone from iCenter, Porvorim (Mall de Goa) on 8th June 2016 and the representative told me to buy iCare Assure Lite+ 1.0 which would take care of any physical damange to the phone upto 2 times, which I did purchase along with my phone and spent approximately Rs. 3500/- for the same.

    My phone has fallen a few times during normal usage due to which it has dents at the bottom. When it happened for the first time I had taken the phone to the iCenter Store (Mall de Goa) to get it repaired (probably 4-5 months back) and I was told that its better I don't get it repaired then as I have lot many months remaining in my insurance and its better to get it repaired when a major damage happens (as I get only 2 repairs/replacements).

    Finally I decided to take my Iphone for repair on 8th May 2017 as the due date of iCare Assure Lite package was nearby. I had given visited iCare store at Panjim to give my phone for repair. Firstly they refused to accept my phone as it had only minor damages and according to them only major damages such as full screen shattered is covered under insurance. I had to fight with the representatives, talk to the manager of the store (which was an invain effort) and waste 1.5 hour at the store for them to finally accept my phone. So this is my first issue, really really poor service by the iCare guys.

    I was told that within 5 business they will update me on the status of the phone. I had aksi raised a complaint on the same day i.e. 8th May 2017 to iCare customer support for poor service at the iCare store. However, to my surprise there was absolutely no update on my case for a week and even worst service provided by the Customer Support team (I can share those emails as well). Finally I decided to raise the issue to the top management of Ample technologies (CEO : Rajesh Narang). Even after escalating the issue I did not get any resolution. Today is 10th day and I had to finally go and collect my phone back as I am travelling from tomorrow onwards for a month and I needed my phone. I gave them 3 alternatives, but they refused for all 3 of them:

    1) Provide a replacement iphone till I am back (i.e. a month from now) and keep my Iphone for repair.
    2) Extend the iCare Lite due date (by atleast a month) so that I can give the phone back for repair once am back from my trip.
    3) Refund the money that I have spent for iCare lite for various reasons such as false marketing at the time of selling, extremely poor service from iCare team and zero knowledge about the insurance cover that they had provided. They never even shared the insurance policy with me, which itself caused lots of problems.

    I want the management team of Ample Technologies to know that the customer will not keep quite and take loss due to inefficient services provided by their teams. I am planning to approach the consumer court as well, but I would first want them to reply to my query on the consumer forums before I take the next step. All I need is for them to refund my money for iCare lite as their employees have completely misguided me from the point of purchase to the point of providing service OR ensure that my phone is repaired once am back from my travel.

      It is with a great disappointment that i am writing this complaint, considering apple is always known for the quality of after sales service (But you never know until you experience it).
      I recently visited the icare center at forum mall, bengaluru, karnataka, india. As my ipad’s screen was flickering and i was not able to install any app, which started happening immediately after ios 10.3.1 update. I was attended by ms. Varsha prabhu at the center [on 17 april 2017], i explained the problem to her and told her that it’s a software update related issue and you guys should be able to fix it by reinstalling the software again. She said, she would look into it, brushing aside my concerns (In all possibility not even listening to me) and blatantly telling me it must be a hardware related issue. The process cost me 1000 rupees (Still wondering what for they charged me, as they did not even do any diagnostic test until i told them during the second visit).

      Now after 3 days [on 19 april 2017 ], and to my surprise, i receive an email from the service center with a repair quotation for approximately 26, 000 rupees. I started to wonder, why i need to replace the ipad for a software update related issue, so i decided to visit the folks at the service center.
      I do not remember the name of the person who attended me the second time [ 21 april 2017], however, he said that it’s a hardware related issue and the ipad needs to be replaced (Which i refused to accept). So i told him, show me the report for hardware diagnostic that you ran and tell me which component is broken. To my surprise he said, we don’t run and don’t have any hardware diagnostic tools and told me “how can i make you understand as if i am some stupid bloke who does not know how a computer operates.”
      After almost 45 minutes of wait and to my utter disappointment, mr. Manjunath and mr. Praveen met me, told me one was the manager and other was a senior technician. I asked them, does it make sense to replace the ipad for software related issue. As technician cannot find any issue with the hardware diagnostic (Thankfully this person at least knew that there is something called hardware diagnostic), so i asked him to fix the firmware or ios version or probe what the issue is and fix it. Now both of them were adamant that it’s a hardware issue (I asked him how is it possible??? The hardware diagnostic is not showing any error). Well after that i decided not to discuss any further with them as they were not willing to understand the root cause of the issue and seemed extremely disinterested in taking any initiative.
      Now, i went to the service center, as i did not have time to look into the issue with ipad. However, left with no choice, i looked into apple forums and found the solution to my problem.

      1) screen flicker, button and sensor not working — just reset the ipad to factory setting and it worked
      2) not able to install apps — the apple id was out of sync with itunes store. Fixed it myself
      The ipad is working perfectly all right now.
      Now, this brings the bigger question here, what kind of incompetent people have you recruited or are working at this service center who could not fix these simple issues, which i could do under 20 min by looking at the internet!!!. Seriously guys, what a rip-off. (Quotation for 26 k, for a perfectly fine ipad)
      Imagine the plight of a person, who does not understand troubleshooting, these people will just take him for a ride and rip him off by overcharging for things that are not even broken.

      Folks at apple are you ok with all this. Because this would be a sad commentary in and off itself, i don’t care about 1k i paid for the service. But what bothers me the most is, how can your technician not even troubleshoot minor software glitches and seriously it’s the worst customer service i ever had. Not something you expect from apple.

        It's been 8 months since we bought our iphone 5s. In the past 2 months we have visited icare 3 times. Right now I am standing at ample technologies, and listening to the service assistant saying that we have to pay 24k for the phone to be replaced. I am shocked as we paid only 21k for the phone itself - that the too 8 months back! The phone is within the ooh warranty period as well! I have been asking her how is it fair for her to give this solution to a customer who has bee struggling with software problems with the phone and practically living with a dead phone. She keeps saying we have to pay 24k.

          I, Rahul Sharma have given my iPhone 6 for repair on 6th Sept 2016 and for some reason your good office was not able to deliver the device on the promised date and so took my device back on 10th Sept and left the country on 11th Sept trusting that the amount will be returned in my account with seven working days as I was promised once again from your good executive. Now it has been 12 days and I am still waiting for the refund.

            Ample Technologies presented a quote of Rs.87000 just to replace a 512 GB SSD and re-install the operating system on my Apple laptop. The average cost of a new 512 GB SSD comes to around 15k. Instead of paying 87000, I may as well dig up an extra 5-10k and buy a brand new MacBook Pro or another high end laptop. Pathetic service...these people should be reported to the police for charging such high service rates.

            I strongly recommend avoiding them and approaching another service center instead.

                I visited the Ample i care service center at RT Nagar, Bangalore today, as my Macbook Pro was not working. I was asked to take a backup of my hard drive by buying a HDD USB cable to connect to my detached hard drive by myself. The reason they asked me to buy the cable myself is because they did not have it.
                I faced a similar problem with my laptop a year ago and a service center in Delhi (where I was at the time), provided me with the cable themselves.
                It is expected for an apple service center to have all the equipments necessary to do their job to fix an apple product. I am extremely disappointed that a customer was suggested to buy an accessory that a service center should provide. Please find a solution to this as a customer should not be made to incur extra costs on a cable that would come to use only once, but would actually help icare if they have it, to spare themselves from such complaints in the future.
                Please try to rectify this problem as soon as possible.

The very next day of the complaint I had made, I received a response from the customer management with a solution to help me at my convenience. Ms. Shaheena from the ample service centre, was the one who came to my aid with a quick response over the phone and Mr Mohan Ravichandran made the trip, came with all the equipments required to help me with my data backup problem. Overall, my experience with ample has now been satisfactory. Thank you so much. The kind staff really did over compensate for my grievance. Congratulations on extremely friendly staff.                   One key was not working. Given the device in their service center at koramangla(near sony world). While taking my device, they told the diagnostics charges of Rs:1250 are applicable. After diagnostics, they said they would call me if any additional payment has to be made, which was fine with me. I got a message by evening that the device has been serviced. The very next day while collecting the device, they asked to pay Rs:2000/- which they clearly didn't mention prior. What kind of business asks for additional money prior mentioning/quoting it? While checking the keyboard, one guy was pushing me to do it soon. Being an apple authorized service center, i just checked few keys as the guy there was pushing me and payed:Rs2000/ and went home.
                  (Note: Initially, I was ready to pay Rs;1250/- as mentioned by them, but they insisted and threatened me that the device won't be given until I pay Rs:2000/- . To save my time and leaving their way of doing the business to their destiny, I just paid and took the device)

                  However the very next day, keyboard started giving me problems. This time it is couple of other keys which were not working. Now whom should I blame this issue? Instead of just one key, now it is other keys which are not working.

                  When I went again to them they are asking me to pay:Rs13954.69 for replacement of the top case on the macbook pro.
                  In detail, this is their statement in the mail:
                  "Checked and found keypad not working intermittently, and few keys
                  responding automatically.Tried SMC and pRAM reset same issue.Tested
                  with known good OS-still same issue.Ran AST-All tests passed.However
                  observed issues in keyboard manually and customer submitted for same
                  issues multiple times.hence need to replace device Keyboard with Top
                  case enclosure which includes Battery has to be replaced to check
                  further.Service charges not included since customer paid in last service"

                  If they have done a pathetic job the first time, how they are eligble to take:Rs:2000 instead of Rs:1250?(The last line in their statement above about service charges includes only:Rs:1250)
                  Please understand that this is not about Rs:750, but it is about their way of doing business without communicating prior. Also making me to trip to their service center multiple times which costs me my time as well.

                  Also in their detailed statement above, refer the words "to check further". What does this mean? They have no confidence that the issue will be resolved even after replacing the parts. They are just doing the things on trial and error.(my view) and making the customer pay multiple times.

                  What I want:
                  I want my macbook pro returned with the original condition as on 26/06/2016 where only one key was not working, before giving to them, and return the additional:Rs:750 they have taken in the name of repair which clearly was a pathetic job. I don't even want them to pay any additional thing for wasting my time. Let them have Rs:1250 for the diagnostics which was clearly communicated and I was ok with it.

                      I own a MacBook Pro and within the 1 year warranty, 1st time Motheboard was replacd, 2nd time there was a problem with MIC, 3rd time now my HDD has to be replaced. I dont know where do i contact. Has apple given me a crap piece? i never expected this from apple.

                        I gave my Mac book pro mid of 2012 model issue was my laptop was not working, they check my Laptop and informed me to take your laptop, they told you have given to some one and some parts are missing. I asked them can I know the name of the part which is exactly missing from my laptop. They told not parts but some screws are missing with out screws they can't repair. I got pissed off. Very poor customer service.

                          I have given my i phone 6 for service centre regarding two blue dots on display, which is a common and simple issue, they didn't solve that issue, instead they give another problem, which is much bigger then first one, they broke my touch pad and they are not responding to my calls.

                            Hi, I had given my iPhone 6 for service regarding a broken/shattered screen on 3rd October 2015. They had informed that in 2-3 business working days they would check if my phone is eligible for a replacement after a health check. I had to mail them after a week and then can the bill for 26.3k which paid promptly. I was told that they have ordered foe a new phone and intimate upon arrival. Called them up a couple of times and finally they said that I have to delink the phone from my iCloud account. There was no official communication regarding this and it was purely because of my call they informed about the iCloud delinking. Its been 2 days since delinking and now they say that I have to wait for another 2-3 business working days for the replacement. I am planing to take legal course this Monday.

                              I have given my iPhone 4s on May 06 in Thiruvanmiyur branch chennai. Its display became blue in 5 months. They have checked the mobile and replied like we cannot service since you dropped the mobile into the water. I have taken care of mobile and there is no single drop of water. I informed him about this but still his behaviours ridiculous. The executive name was A. Soosai Raja Ragavan (emp id- 1164) who handled my complaint. I ahve taken my mobile back. I was very disappointed with his behaviour. I don't understand why he is coming to customer service if he is not ready to provide customer serivce and don't know anything about the product. I need proper resolution for this and need my product ready. I am planning to take legal action against him and Ample tech

                                Hi, i have given my mac-book retina for repair on 12th of april, it has some manufacturing defect of dead pixels on the screen and keys become sticky, still i didn't receive, daily i have to call and ask status of my laptop, every time reply was "you'll get your laptop by tomorrow" i feeling so frustating to call again again (no transparency )and lot of my work hindered because of your product and service. who will pay for my loss? i don't understand why you charge so much if you won't be able to give good product and service. if it is not done in coming 2 days, i have to take legal action against apple india.

                                  On October 25th I took back my Macbook Air from Ample, Ampa Skywalk, Chennai as i didn't want the battery replaced. They told me they will refund my money in three days. I consider myself to be very patient but this is just ridiculous. There was this person Mr. Lingesh Vadivel who told me that he would take care of the issue and get back to me immediately. No response from him either. Ample owes me around Rs.7000 and it looks like I'm not going to get it any sooner. I own a lot of Apple products and i have never been disappointed with them before. I have no clue as to why Apple even gave these clowns authorisation to sell their product.

                                    This institute has a head named Amit. He takes rs.3000 for each student for their final year project. students join in groups of three and four and each project is worth Rs.9000. But the project we get finally is a piece of crap. It does not install , does not work, there are thousand errors and if we go back to them for they escape to other cities.They promise us to give project report full but at the end say they have not promised. This institute gets about 200 students minimum for this project. so the sum they are getting is 60,00,000 Rs. most of the students stay in hostels and are scared to speak out. Now what should we do?

                                      I am supposed to have a 3-year AppleCare extended warranty on my MacBook laptop made by Apple. This is needed as the hard drive has crashed and needs to be replaced. However, for the past one month Ample Technologies in Bangalore has been giving me the run-around and refusing to service my equipment. At times they insist that I have to bring the laptop to them, and at others that they will supply a new drive and it is my job to put it in the machine. A significant problem is that they have no one available on the phone who speaks passable English or Hindi.

                                      And oh, by the way, I have also given up in frustration after calling Ample many times about getting an upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5. They refuse to send me a quote.

                                      By the way, having lived in the U.S. and having had similar problems there, I know how AppleCare support is supposed to work -- the company arranges for your equipment to be shipped to their support location at *their* cost, and arranges all necessary repairs. Here in Bangalore I'm paying the same amount but for zero service. Someone should tell Apple.

                                      Summary: STAY AWAY FROM AMPLE TECHNOLOGIES -- THEY ARE FRAUDS.
