Elamakkara Area, at Cochin is facing severe transmission fail from Asianet. For half an hour of load shedding, there is no transmission of programmes. On contacting Asianet office, the reply was that there is no back up for UPS. How awkward this reply is !! And that too from Asianet!
Hi, I'm residing at Kazhakutom (near police station on Kinfra road) and the Asianet cable connection is worse here. Connection goes down regularly and it's takes long time (3-4 hours) for the service team to fix it. You will be lucky if anyone picks up the call from local asianet office. It's high time people in kerala should think beyond Asianet for cable connections...Asianet customer service team might be the worst support team in the world...

    I contacted Asianet for a new cable and internet connection. I first contacted their helpdesk and with multiple calls I was redirected to Asianet office (Mulanthuruthy, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala). They first threw me an yearly digital cable option and when asked for other options they said that there are nothing else available. I had to then dig into their website to get details of other schemes including the free modem they provide if I take a digital connection. With more enlightenment I called the office again and requested for a different plan. They didnt welcome the idea much but agreed as there was no other choice. Then began the long wait for a new connection. The office helpdesk assured that connection is on the way and I had to keep on calling them multiple times a day to check the status. The frustration continued for a week and at their mercy they provided me with a digital connection.

    Then came the next twist. The coupon for free modem - have to go to their office and collect it. I was forced to go to their office as I had opted to get their internet connection too. This was mearly for a sign in a form which they could've easily sent with the person who brought the connection.

    Expecting the service to be a bit better from the Asianet Internet guys (Valanjambalam, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala) I contacted them. Unlike the cable guys - they gave me multiple options (Monthly, 3 months, 6 months & yearly). Then started the waiting game. The same story as cable guys I had to wait for 4 days and atlast this person shows up with a form. I showed him the free cable coupon which I got from Asianet and maybe he didnt like the idea the monthly plan vanished from his list. He wanted me to take a bigger duration one which I told him that I want to take after I know my usage. He didnt budge and we had to agree upon a 3 month plan. After all paper work was done and money taken he said that connection will come in next 4 days. I was shocked. I am still waiting for my internet connection. When they told they are coming just now took 4 days, I am not sure how long 4 days will take in Asianet terminology

    The attitude they show is pathetic. They just dont care whether we take connection or not. As customer you have to plead to get a new connection. If new connection is such a pain imagine the plight of other service requests. The moment my term is over, I am moving over to other dish and internet providers. Please dont fall into Asianet, your peace is sure gone for a toss.

    I hope that any Asianet officials understand this issue and take some corrective action on how they should treat a customer.

    I am a asianet cable consumer, I living in kochi (Kaloor, Ashoka road, liberty lane)My connection is failear in 15 days ago, I complainted in palarivattom office ph no. is 3016666, the complaint no.9/5755 but no response in assianet office, the operator is giving another number Mr. Radhakrishnan no. is 3076141 he told me that they will attend today morning by 11.30 am[protected]. But they havent attended till now.

      my customer code no is A00740013 set top box and internet connection customer code is TV 0829.for the past 10 days my TV connection is not working and i have registered my complaint with your complaints section Ph 3016666 and your peroorkada office Ph 2438256. in spite of my repeated requests in the morning and evining daily for the past ten days ni one has given the least attention to my ccomplaint. i am a customer of asianet cable line as well as the internet from the time of your starting these services.i would be highly ovliged i[censored] will kindly look into this complaint and do the needful immediately. vs nair. a line ir reply will be appreciated.

      Asianet Satellite communication — No service even after 48 hrs

      My Subscriber ID is GA00910653.I called up the customer care call centre day before yesterday since no service was available, when they responded with the standard query of sending some one for checking the same.Half a day, I tried to get the service restored even though there wasn't any outstanding amount on the connection.The next day, I called up again and got a complaint no 6/1110 which I was supposed to quote in all future correspondence.I waited for a full day and still no one turned up.I have never experienced such a bad customer service experience in my lifetime.Pls do the needful

      Im writing from Nemom in Trivandrum. I have a analog asianet cable connection. Well straight to the complaint..i think asianet cable providers are gambling with the channels, to be precise every time i switch on the tv the channels has been rearrange, i was looking for star sports to watch Formula 1 qualifying this evening but the channel disappeared instead of that i got some Arab channels (well im not at all interested in learning terrorism via tv) ..i called the service provider and he said its because of Olympics, well thank you for that, but no thank you because i don't even need a cable connection to watch Olympics and its available in DD channels..so kindly stop Gambling. And for your kind information..im not having ur connection for free.

      i have asianet cable connection(ernakulam). i want some hindi channel in ur connection.earlier sat ZEE tv was coming now it is not coming in ernakulam .I have complained in ur customer care services but no body entertained so please give ZEE TV etc.
      For past one month some of the major channels like zee tv, hbo, tensports, zee sports...etc are not in the connection .these are the major channels. why are they not taking sufficient steps for this?
      Hi my name is vivek from cochin and iam student studying in 11th, so it is usually just studying all the time for me the only time i can actually relax while watching some sports, especially football, but most of the time i sit to watch football there will be no Espn, Star Sports, Ten sports etc...they would have bee changed for some reason.Right now the champions league is going on (on ten sports) i sit one night to watch the game and what do you know there is ten sports. I called the nearest asianet customer operaters and told him about my problem he said that tensports would be restored back in a week or two because right know you were having talks with tensports on the contract extension .Note this was 3-4weeks ago and still know tensports have'nt be reinstalled and whenever call the customer care they say that it will be restored as soon as possible, So i wrote you this letter to tell you how disapointed i am with asianet i expected more sincerity towards you're customers. Note this is not only my opinon but also that of my friends and if this goes on i will remove my connection and take some connecton like Tata Sky . so i hope you will do the right thing and deliver what you promised us.

      I am not in receipt of Zee Group channels, POGO, HBO, Ten Sports etc in Asianet Digital TV for almost a month now. Not sure why Asianet is not bothered about their viewers. I have made one-year subsription in advance hence not able to move to another dig. tv. Me and my collegues are planning to rid away Asianet connection and depend on some other better providers.

      i agree with Mr.Anoop's complaint.Iam also not getting any Zeegroup channels.we r also thinking of discontinuing your service.iam requesting you to provide us with zeetv(atleast).
      My ID is 158695. I could nod not view the channels from 25 April' 09. A complaint was registered wit Asianet on that day itself. Next day I reminded them and they told me to await. Nobody did turn up. Again I contacted the complaint cell and told them that I would not be available next day, being working day. The problem was with the connection and hence i told the person to tell the person to check the connection on roof top if he comes in my absence.The person attending promised to pass on the message.Next day also the problem was not resolved. When I enquired of it the person told me that the complaint was duly attended "Door Locked " comment written.Then I told him that the person should have contacted me over my phone.Asianet has already taken advance for one year and now I am looking for filing a complaint with the consumer protection. The service is hopeless and rediculous. The people at the desk are not at all imaginative. Hell with asianet

      we are one among the viewer of Asianet. we proud about Asianet for the variety entertainments. But very sorry to say sir occuring the frequest power failures and connection errors your local franchiese office/
      cable provider is not responding to our frequent requests/complaints and not even taking care of customer
      problems. Their attitude is to collect money rest not assured. This is not a good manner to common people. My only request is to look into the matter and kindly take actions against them.
      I concur with Vivek Jayakumar, i was thinking of getting a digital set top box to watch ten sports to watch the champions league final today ... unfortunately this ongoing feud with SET discovery and Asianet has turned out to be a bummer for football fans. I look forward to the day when competitive CATV services will be available in each neighbourhood in Trivandrum. *sigh* I might be the father of teens then I guess...to think I'm single. Gone with the wind!
      The service rendered by asianet cable team is absolute pathetic. I had registered a complaint 1 month back till date the issue has not been resolved. It seems the asianet team is not at all aware that we customers has lots of options to choose a competitor, it was in 90's you people has the monopoly in the market.       i hav connection with setup box with one year warrenty...Abt 4 months back it got repaired..I complainted
      abt dis to the cable providers paravur, kollam.. After continuous complaint, they reached twice...but no use...Even i complainted alot, , they didnt respond...Today, 6/7/2009, they told me dat, , i must buy a new setup box..even the warranty period remains...Our trust towards Asianet is gone...Please kindly accept the customer needs...or else these cable operators make your image worse...If you are still aware about customer needs..please take action about these Service providers...and fulfil our needs...

      I have not been able to view most of the channels since April 2009. Despite repeated calls to the service centre, the problem has not been remedied. The promptness with which the annual subscription is collected is not reflected in the service provided.There is absolutely no signal at all.
      A complaint was registered on July 11, Complaint number 81007. Today is July 17.To date notecnician has turned up, neither have they made any enquiries regarding the complaint.
      Please make your service more efficient and ensure customer satisfaction. Value for money is required

      I have complaint four days back that here in durganagar I have the problem of signal not available due to which i am unable to receive the channels, a prompt reply came from your office whether it is digital if so kindly coonect to analog . I just want to ask you, are you willing to pay back the price that you took for STP box ? till date no one has attended or even cared to ring up and find out. Really what a good service ? immediate solution convert to analog that means you will not send your personnel to correct the problem with digital network.       I have taken digital connection about 4 months back.Connection used to give lot of complaint but Asianet and its franchise was never bothered to rectify it within reasonaable time. Now it is down since 5 days. I made a number of calls to franchisee and Asianet. As ususal they gave promises but never bothered to look at it. They dont have any committment towards consumers. It seems they are interested in snatching money from consumers as yearly subsription fee in the 1st month itself. After that ball is in consumer's court either to suffer or challenge them for getting service. This way of service will never last. Anyway good wishes

      SECOND TIME I AM SENDING THIS LETTER. 9 MONTHS I AM WAITNG FOR A REPLAY. SEVERAL TIMES I CALL TO YOUR NORTH PARUR OFFICE. NO ONE CAN GIVE ME A PROPER ANSWER. WHEN I TAKEN THIS CONNECTION THEY CAN OFFER SOME CARTOON CHANNELS LIKE C N AND POGO ETC. I GOT ONLY TWO MONTHS, AND THEN NEVER GET THIS. CAN YOU GIVE ME AN ANSWER WHAT IS THE REASON YOU CAN CUT THESE CHANNELS. I PAID RS.. 1990 FOR ONE YEAR AND THEY GOT ME A LIST OF CHANNELS IN A PRINTED PAPPER. IN THIS THEASE CHANNELS ARE MENTIONED.

      I am an Asianet subscriber for the past 2-1/2 years. My subscriber ID is AB00420176 and my name is Shiju.. I am having the connection from Sigma Cable Network Attingal. I am very much disappointment that such a reputed organisation like Asianet cable vision company lose their goodwill because of the reason of the bad customer service and the irresponsibilities of the staff. I mentioned in the previous mails also please inform me if you are not able to correct the problem. You contacted me only once and told me that you shall contact me later after calling the Attingal branch. But you did not inform me or mailed.. So this is my last mail. I want to know whether the problem can be corrected or not.
      I am staying in palaghat. Since from last week we are not receiving any asianet channels in our dish receiver.

      Kindly not that MPG2 receiver I am using in my house.

      Asianet and Asianet Plus these 2 channels are now available online in MPEG4 Encrypted mode.You just retune your MPEG2 receiver and you wil get a new channel Asianet Middle East.I think the main programmes like Serials and films will be telecast in middle east also with a delay.

      Its been the very nature of Asianet to choose there channels to transmit as if the subscribers are mere fools and just spectators who has to pay for what Asianet chooses.

      The best part is we subscribers never read the agreement fully and these private operators always add a clause that gives them the power to choose the channels they will transmit.

      The latest one is that they have slowly reducing sports channels. Star Cricket has already been stopped with out warning.

      Today(10-Apr-2010) they have stopped ESPN and Star Sports. When i called twice at[protected]Asianet Customer Service, TVM), the reason given for not transmitting ESPN & Star Sports is that there is some technical up gradation and will be rectified only before Monday!!!.

      Isn't other Cable providers having this up gradation issue?

      Asianet is handling customers cheaply.
      Please get back ESPN and STAR SPORTS quickly. We don't care even if you get rid of other sports channels like Neo Cricket, Neo Sports or DD Sports.

      The fact is Asianet has defaulted on payment to ESPN-Star Sports, so they are not getting the signal to beam it to their subscribers. Actually they have made a fool of and cheated the customers who made payment in advance towards their digital service. They are not able to show ESPN-Star Sports in digital too.
      Asianet is totally disregarding the customer complaints. This is an era of customer delight and satisfaction of customers alone is not sufficient for the progress of the
      business which is customer oriented. Sooner or later, other players will capture your
      monopoly and Asianet will be downgraded. Malayalis still consider Asianet as their own home channel and because of that you are surviving. Days are not far away people

        I purchased a Set up Box for Digital TV connection on 23rd September 2008 with one year warranty. I also paid for one year subscription.
        The set up box stopped functioning on Wednesday 14th May 2008. We registered a complaint with their Complaints section (Tel. No.[protected]. No action was taken.
        I registered a complaint again on 15th May 2008. This time a complaint Number was issued - AD5/5201.
        To date, no action has been taken.

        Request your assistance in getting the set up box repaired or replaced.

        I have been using asianet Digutal cable T.V.services for the last Six Months.The service that they offerd doesn't meet at all.

        The anchor looked like she was intoxicated and acting like she is the one giving 1 crore prize for all winners. She was running all over the stage like a "വെടി' കൊണ്ട പന്നി" for no use.

        The music legend M.S. Vishwanathan was invited to the stage to announce the winner, but this crazy lady screwed up the whole show, by announcing the winner by herself.

        I am sure that many of you must have the same thought and bad feeling for showing the irreverence to the great musician.

          I had subscribed to this scheme on September 2007 paying
          Rs 3250/- (Installation and subsciption charges) My consumer number is AA01230099.Often the message is shown in the TV
          as validity of subscription expired whereas my subscription is
          valid upto August 2008. Inspite of reminding Asianet nothing is done on this discrepency. On 13th April 2008 I have been trying to reach Asianet office for lodging the complaint on the following Tel Nos [protected], [protected], [protected]. Nobody is lifting the telephone, is it because it is a Sunday and the consumer is bound to suffer for buying this STB. Let me remind you when my TV was cable connected I did not have any problem.           From 31st May our asianet cable connection is not working. We had complainted on 02.06.08. The complaint no is 6/5108. First we contacted in the Phone no[protected]. Daily we are complainting two three times. They always says they will attend our complaint nowitself. But no response from them. From last friday they gave us another no[protected]. They also said they will send people today itself. But noone came until this time From 31st May atleast 20 times we contacted in the complaint no. But no use.

          We are an old customer of you. For last 15 years we are using this facility. We have paid one year subscription in advance.

          This is about the Internet connection failure. It happened last week. I informed the Customer Support Office on 19th Sept 2009. They said they have moved the complaint to the local Asianet Office. They said they will fix the issue that day itself. That didnt happen. I had called them atleast 10 20 times. The answer was same. they didnt come the next day also. I got a message on last wednesday saying the issue has been fixed on 23 sep 2009.. When i checked the connection today(27 sep 2009), its down again. called the customer support office again and as usual they day the issue will be fixed today. today i called them 10 20 times...I called the local office and the guy there said its sunday and we will try to come..
          Again about the issue: It happened when they repaired some other issue in my place.
          Dont you people give any priority for the complaints... and i dont think this issue will be fixed in the coming days. as well.. This connection is good when it works. but the thing is it will be out of order most of the time...

            although you are collecting monthly subscription for various channel packages,you are not providing with all the channels in that package.

            My complaint No.6/5108 dated 2nd june 2008 in plalarivattom office we have complainted for many days, but no response, we have call today also the phone No.[protected] at 2 p.m.

            We have complaint in this facilty yesterday, but no replay
            We are having Asianet Digital Why Zee group channels missing from the network for so long It is really disappointing to miss so many football and cricket matches like champions league AUS SA cricket
            W Indies Eng matches When to expect these channels back We are eagerly waiting Also many of our friends have decided to change over to other digital services very soon if these channels not came back We are very much disappointed Expecting a satisfactory reply
