Myself Jagabandhu Parui, S/o Mrs Jagaddhatri Samanta (Parui) Consumerno-[protected], Merer no 3161615 facing last more than two months above mentioned problem.(1) I made several comp lane through their toll free customer care number, (during last more than 2 months frequently), (2)CESC official web page on Redressal of compliant section, (3) emailed on 24th April 2014 to their Southern Regional Manager Commercial, (4)16th May 2014 i made complain to National Consumer forum, Docket Number 512046 & as per their Advice (5) on 19th May 2014 I physically/personally Visit their Southern Head office Mandeville Garden & met their District Engineer Mr Sumatra Ghosh & submit my application.But nothing has been done except a letter of fake assurance from grievance officer & fake explanation when their technical team visiting my house & they visit my home 7 times & every time they are providing me different different cause.
last night around 2 AM some official visit my apartment & unofficially advice me either i need to meet Mr Sanjiv Goenka, Vice-Chairman of RPG Enterprises or made mass petition from my local area & submit to District Engineer Office then only my problem could be solved.
Please take necessary action to settle the issue.

Still i am facing same problem & no improvement :( its really shame & horrible & no one taking initiative about this problem.. its our " Mera bharat mahan"
today again i am getting same problem..i made complain through CESC official website & my Docket number is [protected], then their customer care executive told me he going to forward this message to their technical team, then i got call from their technical team([protected]) some must be there respective in charge asking my near electric lamp post number, unfortunately i really dont know the number & he force me to go outside & letting him know lamppost number otherwise he cant help me anyhow, & he told me i dont know the lamp post number that's why he can send technician team tomorrow morning. even i told him my near land mark & he specially need lamp post number.(even i know if he send any technician they wont help me, as i am facing same problem since May 2014 & sure our locality too). & i am staying in apartment & this night its wont possible for me find out my nearest lamp post number. here attached my document.

    I, Davinder Singh, have recently shifted to my new flat in 28/3, Bediadanga 2nd lane, 2nd floor, kol-39.I am very shocked every time I receive my electricity bill because of the exorbitant charges reflecting in the bill.We are very conscious when we use our electric appliances .Inspite of being outdoors also the number o[censored]nits used which reflects in the meter is head reeling.Also the meter installed in the premises is different than the regular ones . I request you to please do the needful and send in your inspector at the earliest so that he can check if there is any faulty wiring or leakage.Please treat this as very very urgent.

    My address is at 2nd floor 348, Banerjee Para Road, Paschim Putiary, Kudghat, Kolkata 700041,
    My consumer no is [protected]. I would like to inform you that in the month of July 10th 2014 till 28th of August 2014 the house was locked, where in I found a bill amount of Rs. 6200/- is been send.


    I immediately went to Taratola office, where I meet with Mrs. Ruposhree Ghosh and raised an complain with immediate effect on dated 30/09/2014 of my faulty meter.


    She assist and assured me that I should pay upfront Rs 4000/- of the outstanding amount, and she will then arrange a technician visit at my place, which I paid on dated 30/09/2014 by cash as per her advice.


    However she was very rude while communicating with me and not at all customer centric, finally after the technician visit was made on dated 7/10/2014 the unit display was 88888888 the meter was found faulty, since then there was 5 different team of technician visit been made along with LLC team on dated 24/11/2014 stating that the meter was faulty, the gentle man who visited my place last time on dated 25/11/2014 is Mr. Stayen and Mr. Biswajit who also reported about the faulty meter and came to my place for disconnection, after query I came to know from them that they have been send by Mrs. Ruposhree Ghosh without my concern and without any intimation.


    Since August 2014 till dated I was been built an estimated reading which was not been committed to me, however, I was also been asked to sign an no objection letter for the replacement of the faulty meter in the month of October 2014, which is been handed over to Mrs. Ruposhree Ghosh, which was later been denied and refused by Mrs. Ruposhree Ghosh and Mr. Dhruva Chatterjee. I was also been promised and advised that a test meter will be placed, which was not been placed yet, however I am getting threat of disconnection of my meter by the department.


    I am still been harassed and very concern about the unprofessional approach by Tatatola Branch CESC Ltd,


    I request you and your team to kindly look into this matter with immediate attention and fix this issue by sending a specialized team from your department to view the meter status and get it sorted with proper adjustment and wave off as applicable with the replacement||of faulty meter, as it is getting very difficult for me and my family to made them released the critically of the situation.


    I would appreciate if someone from your dept. could give me a call and resolved this issue of estimated meter reading ASAP,

      I have informed TCS (ref: Mr Subhashis) in December`12 with written application and documents as asked by Mr Bimal Banik to close the CRES account as my father has passed away and the meter was transferred to my name. I have also claimed the refund money as both of my parents are no more and I am the only legal heir. I have submitted all the documents to prove and Mr Subhashis has accepted them. Till date I haven't received any payment from CRES. I am writing to know the claim status. Your early response will be highly appreciated. Sanjukta

        Respected Sir, I am Subhadip Roy (an Architect by profession). This letter is occasioned to address a very serious problem. I ( Subhadip Roy ) and my wife ( Arpita Roy ) is the joint owner of Flat 5D ( fifth floor ), Tara maa apartment, DB-20, Deshbandhunagar, Railpukur road, Baguihati, Kolkata : 700059, which I bought 2 years ago. My CESC meter consumer no: [protected], and Customer ID: [protected]. Very recently a very unusual and offensive thing came to my notice. Apart from my original electric bill, another false electric bill is coming to my billing address, in the name of SAMANTA MISTRY ( consumer no: [protected], customer id: [protected] ). Samanta Mistry is probably the name of the wife of the promoter/ developer ( Swapan Mistry ) of our building. He has a self owned flat at 5C, just adjacent to my flat, another small flat at rooftop, still in his possession. At flat 5C he pays a separate bill. I doubt, that the rooftop flat’s electric connection is wrongly documented in your database and that bill is coming to my address ( fifth floor, flat : D ). This wrong electric documented under my flat number might cause several problem for me in future. So, as soon as it came to my notice, I hereby inform you about the fallacy. Instead of Flat 5D, Samanta Mistry’s meter will be documented under flat: rooftop, because Flat 5D is mine. The supporting documents are attached herewith ( my Deed, mutation certificate of flat 5D, my electric bill, and the wrong electric bill for which address correction is needed ) I earnestly request you to please look into the matter, so that no fake / wrong persons electric bill come to my flat further in addition to my original cesc bill.           The `Previous Meter Reading' in my May bill is absent & is given as xxxxxxx. As a result the units consumed is given as 1982 units which is totally excessive. My consumption for the months this year have been 305, 283, 312, 288 and 434 units. As a result I am not liable to pay the amount of Rs. 17, 650 billed for this month.               I am noticing that the supply of current is not steady it is fluctuating in several occasion all over in the day and night for more than 15 days.
              I am making phone call to the customer care number but nobody is responding.
              If any of my electrical items are damaged for this fluctuation of current then cesc will be sole responsible for it.
              Please take necessary step immediately.

                please look this consumer some people are using domestic meter but there are a small industries are there they use cesc and and on this address they are not payee amount angainst some meter but now cheater and user on this meter is same but name of miter is not same if this is the good way then every body can do anything...

A consumer of CESC (My Consumer No:[protected]) This is to inform you that my electricity bill for the month of MAY 2014 is very high compared to last months. We have not used so much of electric supply.Even we don't use refrigerator, A/C in our home but in spite of that there is a very high bill from last two years and i am not really satisfied with it.Our last month bill was about RS:1372 but this month we are having bill of RS: 3090 the double of last month. We are a middle class family and it is really an impossible for us to afford such a huge amount of bill. We had complain in CESC office on this matter in no serious response has been shown on this matter in fact worker of CESC don't take seriously to us on this matter and give us an excuse that because of hot weather this types of bill will come. We kindly request u please take some serious action against those members of your CESC who don't take us and our complain very seriously I remind you sir/madam once again and request you that we our a middle class family and it is not possible for us to pay huge amount of money on bill.                     My Consumer number is [protected] In May 2014 electric bill I find the total unit is 547 and correspondingly Gross amount payable is Rs.4450/-. Though I paid the bill, this amount is much higher than my average monthly consumption. I, therefore, feel something went wrong in my monthly bill. It could be that the person who came to note my meter reading made a mistake or Electric meter is not functioning properly. I therefore request you to take note of my complaint and do the needful. For your perusal I am giving below units consumed in preceding months and units consumed during these preceding months in 2013, let me declare that during last one year I have not added any extra electrical appliances. May 2014 Total Unit 547 Gross amount Rs.4450/: May 2013 Total Unit 429 Gross amount Rs.3190/. April 2014 Total Unit 382 Gross amount Rs.2880/: April 2013 Total Unit 378 Gross amount Rs.2750/. March 2014 Total Unit 187 Gross amount Rs.1170/: March 2013 Total Unit 185 Gross amount Rs.1120/. Total unit in March, April 2014 and 2013 almost same whereas in May 2014 Total unit is 547 as against 429 in May 2013. Hence I feel something is wrong. Please check and rectify.

                          Sir, We Lakhotia constrruction company pvt ltd had applied for new 10kw (commercial) connection at 8/10/1, Alipore road, Kolkata-27 against which inspection was made in 3rd week of april 2014. The bill for such connection was made dated 26.04.2014 and we had paid that bill of amount of Rs.126748/- on 06.05.2014 through Demand draft. ( bill no- 02/05096/14(34). It was assured by department that connection will be done within 15 to 20 days from date of bill payment. Sir our infrastructure is ready and we are ready to start operation but still we do not have any information or tentative date for installation of meter/connection.                                 This is to inform you that from day 1, , our electricity bills are extremely high. Most of the time we are not at home and also we do not have ac or other appliances which can consume more power...

                                When i tried contacting 1912, a customer care executive named '''' soumitra'''' was
                                Not at all helping.. Even if issue relates to other dept but customers should be handled in a good way. If people like him stays in the company as a customer care executive then i dont know what will happen to cesc then..

                                He behaved badly.. Very bad customer service...

                                    Hi, (To whom it may concern) My consumer number is [protected].From the last 2 months my consumption of electricity remains the same but I have been receiving exorbitant bill amounts. Previously my bill amount would range between (Rs800 - Rs1000). From the last 2 months it has gone up to Rs3500. This is very shocking as I am not available at home the entire day and I come from office after 8 in the evening. The 12 hours I stay at home hardly do I use any appliances which should increase my consumption. Specially we are a family of two. I would like a detailed consumption list or would like the Electric Supply to check if any theft is occurring within my premises. Please address the issue to the earliest.

                                      I regularly getting my electric bill one day before or after due date. Today I receive my bill for the month April 2014, Due date was 28.05.2014.                                         Sir, I am Santonu Panja, my customer id is [protected], this connection belongs to SM GOURI SAMMADDER. I got a bill for the month of April 2014, bill number [protected]. I have a complain that in this month i got Rs. 213.08 for MVCA charge & Rs. 365.10 for Govt. Duty. So my question is that why i have charged for this in this particular bill? Every month i had charged only rs. 37 (round up) so why rs. 213.08 for this month? And what is "govt duty " charge?
