For easy payment of monthly bill sent by CESC I opened CRES a/c with them and replenish it with fresh deposits.
In last October 2008 I made a deposit of Rs 10K by cheque on local bank which was debited next day in my account. Surprisingly, in the quarterly statement sent from TCS on behalf of CESC, they gave credit of the said amount after 6 days depriving of interest.
The matter was brought to the notice of CESC and TCS authorities...

I applied for new connection on 6.2.09, reference no 14/[protected], but after the inspection is over by the Calcutta Electric Supply Team, inspite of having sufficient space, i got a letter that it is not possible to provide connection as there are no sufficient space in my flat .
