Subject : plz help me,plz go through,might be painfull but its more painfull ordeal for me for last four months.
Respected sir/ madam,
I ,Rajiv Bajaj,would like to bring in to your notice about an ordeal i m facing from past four months.
I am a credit card holder of ABN AMRO bank from past more than 2 years. But last sept'09 the ordeal started. The thing is I am having to pay an emi of Rs 1847.00. per month to abn amro bank against the draft loan i took from them a year ago. Now its due date comes out to 22nd of every month. In sept'09 i made the payment by cheque of Rs 1900.00 by 20th of that month. Now what do i see that their collection team ,which is situated at delhi and run by an outside agency, stared calling me from the next date of the due date asking me to make the payment in cash since the cheque has got bounced. But i disagreed to pay them saying that without getting any information from my bank i cannot make the payment in cash. The collection agency people were so clever that they took the payment of Rs 1850.00 from my father in cash in my absence as i was out of station.
In the meanwhile i made the transaction of Rs 52000.00 approx. knowing i have made the full payment and i wont charged any interest since my all dues for last month were cleared. Now what could i see in my next statement is there was an interest charges of Rs 1700.00 approx and also a late payment charges of Rs 650.00. The same day i called them about the same thing at their customer care no. 44341111. they said me that they cannot help me in this ,so asked me mail at [protected]@in.abnamro.com to get the retrivel of those charges,since in my opinion these charges were forcibly applied to me. I email them at the given address about the problem and also stating that i will hold the payment untill i dont get any resolve mail from them. I got the reply from them approx 15 days later,exactly on the due date i was having,saying its being my fault they cannot do anything. Now knowing its been totally injustice to me and totally wrong way to earn
money out of foul way from the customers.I emailed them again to investigate on it again as there was no fault of mine.
Now from 23rd october ,since the payment was on hold, the outside collection agency started calling me.I made them aware of the issue going through and to please bear with me for the while. But every hour and every next day different person would call me and ask me the same thing.they went to extent to abuse me, not believeing my words,treating me defaulter and many more things.This thing went on for a month, and i cannot explain in words of how much pain i was in during the period,upto such extent extent that i cannot control my tears too.
Now before my 22 november 2009 due date, entered Mr dipankar ghosh ,having its office at trinity tower near topsia,an ABN AMRO bank retail asset division office,in the controversy.He is the collection head of eastern region as said to me by him. After knowing the whole scenario,he assured me to waive off all the charges and asked me to make the payment of Rs 55200.00 in order to close all dues as on 22nd november 2009.Now what i look at december statement ,all the interest charges are still there and upon it more of interest charges have been levied to me.The only thing was waived off was late payment charges.They said me after all the investigation they found that the late payment charges applied to me were found unwanted and hence were waived off.Now explaing them about late payment being credited to my card were totally injustice then how can they charge any interest then. I called up Mr dipankar ghosh again and said of these things.He
assured me that these charges wont be there,and asked for little time.
Now with december due date fast approaching i contacted Mr dipankar ghosh again,he said me to make the emi payment of amount Rs 1847.00 which is due every month and assured again of all charges being waived off.This thing continued and continued,the person has same reply again and again.Atlast on jan'2010 due date he denied me of any charges been reversed and asked me to pay every charges and disconnected the line without listening to my words. On the response ,i got infuriated this time and at that moment i was left stranded and felt to be cheated and robbed of money.i was feeling humiliated of why i used the abn amro bank card. So i called him again to know whats the reason he didnt picked the call.I made 40 to 50 calls to him that time,but he didnt replied to me untill the last call. in which we had heated verbal with each other and conclusion being ,that he threatened to me of making me a big defaulter.
Now with all these happening to me, i have started realising that i am on verge of being defaulter,but its not my opnion. I m with no choice to except to go with abn amro banks words pay all the charges which are totally useless and unjustified or to become a defaulter.
But my minds says in order to live life in the name of Rajiv Bajaj and have a good relations with the banks,i have no choice to make the payments. But i have mailed you to make you aware of how banks are making money out of foul way. and its customers who are getting beating at the end.Plz help me in the same since this may happen again to other person.
