Day before yesterday, I lost my HDFC credit card and some misuse has happened on this. I received message alerts only after couple of transactions. I have immediately blocked the card on receiving alerts.
Since the working hours have ended on that day, HDFC rescue team was not able to get the details of merchants at that time. I have been told that I would be getting a call from them as and when the culprit tries again swiping the card somewhere and also an executive would escort me to all the merchant places the very next day to collect details which would help in investigating the case.
The next day I did not receive any call from HDFC on the merchant details and neither any executive has visited me. One complete working day was wasted.
When I called today, the answer I get from the rescue team is we were trying for the merchant details all through that day and on enquiring them, there was another trial made by the culprit in a Jewelry shop(though it got blocked already) and I was not informed on the same. If they would have informed me or some one to look into immediately that person would have been caught.
My only concern is they should have given the marchants details as early as possible as it was promised to me earlier.
I would require few suggestions on this issue. I'm planning to file an FIR and submit the Charge Dispute Form. Can we take any action on the bank official’s negligence?
