I bought an i10 Era from Hyundai Motor Plaza, Chennai in Dec 2008. When it went for its third free servicing in Dec 2009, the paint started peeling off from the bottom of the car and later extended upwards to the sides. HMP said they will repaint it free of cost but this is the first time I have heard of car paint peeling off within a year. The car has done only 2000 km and is parked in a closed garage. Calling the toll free number elicited a response 'it depends on driving condition'. After an email complaint, HMP did send some one home to take photos of the peeled paint but I have had no explanation or even an apology. They took the car and have done a shoddy job of touching up and I am not sure how long that will last. Should the company (it is not a dealer in this case) not be more accountable for its products? I intend following this up and need some advice.

Having read the post above I am wondering what happened next. Did youget any satisfactory resolution to the problem?

I bought my Hyundai i10 as new from my local Hyundai dealer in Dec 2009 and received the car in Jan 2010 as it needed to be imported. So, this car is now only 4 years old. To my shock I noticed yesterday numerous large and small blisters in the paint on the front left side, with the paint coming of as soon as touched/ rubbed slightly.

My car is due for inspection, servicing and MOT coming Tuesday at my dealer and I am wondering what they are going to tell me/ what they'll offer to do. I am rather worried what the state of the rest of the car might be like. Do you or does anyone else have any advice?
I have a 2007 santa fe with the same issue... paint peeling on the roof, hood and around the windshield. Was told by local body shop this is a manufacturers defect but good luck getting Hyundai to fix it.
2006 Sonata paint peeling off trunk 40, 000 miles. Took it to the dealer no can help, neither can the maker. I will never buy another and do not encouage any one else. disc player quit, dash cluster had to be replace, sun visor broken.
Today was a very sad day, after having 2 Hyundais I10s over the past 4 years and planning working my way up the range I have today vowed to NEVER to have another. The car has developed a paint flaking issue on the roof, and after visiting Hyundai Bridgend they said it was bird mess, which I can categorically say it wasnt as any mess is removed immediately, especially where fault is on the car. If its not, they say, its some other external force, thus, its NOT covered by warranty, I guess Hyundai are to good to have paint issues...lol. Well its going over the next few months NEVER to be replaced by another, its going to be a Suzuki Swift next time.

    Dear Concerned,



    I had purchased Blushing Red Hyundai i10 [Magna 1.2 kappa] from Hans Hyundai, Moti Nagar, New Delhi on 30th June, 2009. Within 6 months of purchase and 3000KM of running, the car started giving trouble. Its pickup on 1st and 2nd Gear was much below expectation and it started vibrating heavily to the extent that the car stops midway on low speed. I immediately took the car for 2nd service at Kothari Hyundai at Bopadi, Pune on 22nd December, 2009 and since then the car is with your service center. Yesterday, I got a call from Mr. Praful Singhe, Service Manager at Kothari Hyundai, Bopadi-Pune that engine needs to be dismantled to identify the fault as there is something wrong with the engine. He also confirmed that in all these 8 days they have done and tested everything to conclude that. As per the people at Kothari service station till yesterday, my engine will be repaired and they would make it like a new one. But now they say, petrol quality was not good and they are closing the order and all repairs will be paid.



    Now this is where I am seriously concerned and upset. The entire petrol case is all fabricated to evade the servicing aspect. I have been driving Car from last so many years and have never ever encountered such type of problem. Hyundai doesnot have a fuel station neither it has given me any instrument to measure the quality of petrol. And if common sense prevails, why will I fill the fuel if it is clearly written on the Petrol Station that this fuel is bad. I want Hyundai Motors to take note of it. I don’t want the engine to be repaired. I have got a faulty piece and I want the car to be replaced. There is no way one can explain that a sparingly used car which has run for only 3000 KM in 6 months time will have some problem with engine. Neither anyone will justify that the customer should accept the repaired engine. This Petrol quality being bad is just an excuse to save money and get rid of added service hassle. I am not going to take the repaired engine and neither I am going to bear any cost and at the same time I want you all to take note of my statement and please don’t open the engine of my car standing at Kothari-hyundai, Pune.



    I have already made my intents clear by lodging a complaint telephonically at your customer care and am yet to get the complaint no# against the one made yesterday. Any kind of response against the lodged complaint is still awaited.



    Secondly I am facing heavy discomfort without a car in Pune which is an all new place for me. I have already waited for more than 8 days and now I want a replacement for the time being so that my daily life doesn’t get crippled and routine normalcy is restored.



    I am very passionate about the car I own and take good care of it. I have done all servicing on time and have driven the car very carefully. Now, frankly speaking I feel cheated by your company as I was handed over a defective piece and now they are trying to convince me that how a repaired engine would be the same as a new one, which I will never agree to. I have previously owned Maruti Car and was all set to upgrade that to swift. But on recommendation from one of my friend, I went to your showroom to explore other products as i20 and i10. Since i20 was having waiting period, I was convinced to take i10 which has similar engine specs. But now, I will never recommend any of my friends to go for any of Hyundai products if you don’t take back the faulty piece and replace it with new one. Please further note that if justice is not meted, I will go everywhere I can to share my feelings so that others don’t face what I have.



    I am attaching a copy of purchase Invoice, RC and servicing invoices and repair order herewith the mail. Other important details are mentioned below.

      I am a journalist with The Indian Express, Delhi and I often return home late night after my shift which usually ends after midnight. I bought a new car so that I would have a trouble-free vehicle at my disposal and could travel at night without fear. However, my experience with Hyundai has created a fear psychosis and I think a hundred times before going out with my brand new car. Is there a point then of spending my hard-earned money on a piece of junk? I have been harassed by Hyundai and seek appropriate action against some of the company's employees. I also request the top bosses to keep a regular check on the kind of service their dealers provide. Here is my complaint:

      I bought a brand-new Hyundai Santro Xing from Himgiri Hyundai, Shahadra, on September 28, 2009 -- the car registration number is DL 8CS 8522. The car ran without trouble the first month. Since it had covered[protected] kms, I took the car for first servicing on November 3, 2009 to Sunrise Hyundai, Patparganj. My husband and I were attended to by an advisor by the name of Imran Khan who told us that only a thorough check would be done and the vehicle would be cleaned during the first servicing. He then handed the job over to another of his staff who talked us into getting additional jobs done, for which we were obviously be charged.

      We were asked to get an anti-rust coating done to prevent corrosion of vehicle parts. The guy, whose name we do not know, advised us to get oil treatment done, wherein an additive would be added to the engine oil to prevent it from solidifying in winters. He also suggested glass etching and engine waxing, saying that the first was mandatory and the second would improve performance of the engine. He finally handed us a bill of Rs 3247.

      When we came to collect the car after a few hours, we realised it hadn't even been cleaned. This time, a third person came up to us and showed the jobs that had been done (only the billed ones). I pointed out that the car hadn't been cleaned. But the staff at the service centre suddenly pretended to be so busy that they hurriedly took the payment, made our gate pass. Before they even cleaned the car, they parked it at the gate hoping we'd get out.

      Please note again: The car hadn't been giving us any trouble until now. A few days after getting the car serviced by Sunrise Hyundai, while driving to work (thankfully it was afternoon) I switched the ignition off at a traffic light. The car wouldn't start again. The engine groaned, but didn't start. After about five minutes, it started. The same thing happened a couple of days later. I called up Imran Khan to tell him that the problem had occurred after servicing and so he should make sure everything is okay with the car. He asked me to see him at a time convenient to him.

      I don't quite remember the date since Sunrise Hyundai's Imran Khan did not even give me a job card which is supposed to record all the information about a customer. But it was about a week after the first servicing that I went to Imran and described the problem to him. I told him that it had occurred twice and since it's a problem that occurs occasionally, he should thoroughly get the vehicle checked for any fault -- electrical or otherwise. He opened the bonnet of the car, checked the engine and battery. He didn't care to ask me the details or even check all electrical points. He eventually told me there was no problem with the car and even if there was, it was probably something to do with the central locking system (which was installed by Hyundai).

      I told Imran about my late work hours and repeatedly said that the consequences could be serious if the car broke down in the middle of the night. But he told me to leave and come back if the problem persisted. The starting trouble only got worse.

      On December 22, that's last Tuesday, I went back to Sunrise Hyundai with the same complaint. This time, the car refused to start in front of them. Imran first told me that there was something wrong with the solenoid switch and the car would have to be sent to the main Hyundai workshop. After a while he said that their own mechanic was looking into the problem and it would take two hours. I returned for the car after two hours and took a road test. Since the vehicle seemed to run smoothly, I was somewhat satisfied and again told Imran to get everything else in the car checked this time in case there was some other problem.

      On December 28, less than a week later, the car refused to start again. I was stuck in the basement of the Great India Place mall in Noida at 2 am. I called up the Hyundai toll free number[protected]with the motto ALWAYS ALL THE WAY) for help. The guy who answered the call, Bimal Kumar, asked me to call up Hyundai Nimbus in Noida Sector 5 since that was the nearest service centre. No one picked up the phone there.

      I called Hyundai again and the same person answered the phone, apparently, he was the only person around at the call centre. He somehow got in touch with the Capital Hyundai service mechanic, who was in Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad. The mechanid arrived after we had already waited for an hour and temporarily fixed the car and was a great help.

      Meanwhile, we had called up Imran Khan for help, who not only was rude on the phone, but also asked us to call us at an appropriate time and hung up on us. Today, December 29, 2009, my husband and I have wasted our entire day trying to get in touch with the customer relations at the headquarters (Mathura Road). Both the numbers[protected] and[protected] have been ringing but it seems everyone there too is in a mood to party!

      We then contacted the Manager at Sunrise Hyundai, Sumanta Chakraborty, and were asked to meet him later in the day. Meanwhile, the Assistant Service Manager Raj Kumar contacted us and told us to meet him. The two men, especially Raj Kumar, were helpful. They said they would try and locate where the problem was and troubleshoot it.

      What surprises me is that Hyundai calls itself a competitor of Maruti Suzuki, but it comes nowhere near. When a car breaks down, there should be enough service vehicles around to reach customers in an emergency. The person available on the toll free number is the only one answering calls. How will he help us? Also, he initially refused to give us a complaint number and even had the nerve to tell us we had to pay for emergency services, that too after we told him that the car was in the warranty period.

      Oh, and hats off to Imran Khan. He should really be crowned Mr Attitude with a capital A. He kept roaming around while we were at the service station. The man did not even acknowledge the fact that he knew us. There was no apology from him. Even when his senior, Mr Chakraborty, summoned him, he showed up after making us wait for half an hour. He didn't switch off his phone even though he was asked to do so during the meeting. And his reply was the most hilarious I've ever heard. He said he didn't want to take our call at night because HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY OF THE SERVICE NUMBERS.

      There are a few good people working with Hyundai. For example Raj Kumar and the mechanic who came to our rescue in the middle of the night. But overall, we've had a terrible experience with Hyundai.

      I want to know what went wrong. Did Hyundai sell me a defective vehicle? Did Sunrise Hyundai ruin a perfectly good vehicle? I have to travel late nights. And on Delhi roads I want a car that won't break down, at least not in the first few years. But now I'm totally petrified of taking the car out and going anywhere. If something ever happens to me, my family will hold Hyundai responsible. I want a replacement for the vehicle and will fight for it. I have been harassed by Hyundai and a lot of my time and energy have been wasted.

      Hyundai Santro Xing — PATHETIC SERVICE

      I have hyundai santro xing XP in chennai., Car was excellent in all aspects until the car's crank shaft got broken., Car had clocked 60000km., I dont understand how can a car's crankshaft will go within this short period., Left for service in KUN Hyundai chennai., after following up with them to deliver the car for 4weeks., car was delievered., Paid around 25k., After then car has timing problem., which was not done while servicing., which still persist., they req to sign the feedback form as they advised they will fill it later., i received service feedback call advsd them the service is not satisfactory., but no response., Car performance is totally screwed., drop in mileage., unexplainable noise from engine or don't knw from where., Really unhappy about the service., Dont to go where after spending so much money., Hyundai has good cars but they need to concentrate on the service which will gain good reputation and increase in sales.,

      Hyundai Santro Car — Horrible state of BRAND NEW VEHICLE

      I had purchased a brand new SANTRO car in PUNE from one of the dealer of HYUNDAI namely SANJAY HYUNDAI - PUNE in the month of March 2008 .Till January 2009 it has covered around 12000 kms & was maintained at regular intervals of free servicing .In the month of Feb 2009 when I gave it to the dealer fo another free servicing I was informed by the dealer that my vehicle engine had a problem & the engine needed to be overhauled.At first bassing the buck game was tried on me but ultimately it was done free .But after a few days the exhaust ( silencer ) simply fell apart due to complete corrosion.So now I feel that finally I M going to suffer what a typical person buying a USED car suffers .I had also complained to the company head office on mail but not one single person from either the company or the dealer approached me to clarify my complaints .I feel completely cheated as even after paying for a brand new vehicle I have to drive a vehicle whose total engine has been repaired .I M now of thinking of going to the CONSUMER COURT for either total replacement by a new car or compensation from the company AND the most important of all I will publicise the CHEAP WORKING MENTALITY OF THE COMPANY .
      I have purchased Hynndai Santro Xing in April 2008, I am facing lot of problames in the Car, very poor service rules changes dealer to dealer, no warranty claims sanction even after underwarranty vehicle,
      I have given lots of complaints for Rattling noise from Steering wheel no body attaends the complaint.
      I want help from consumer forum!!!
      same problem, but no solution till today of 2008 make santro gls with rattling sound of steering column.
      The Hyundai dealers are going fanatic over the success hyundia earned in last few years.Now they are money minting place only without bothering to extend services atleast we pay for.Their sole aim is to grab cuastoemr and shell out as much as possible by hook or crook. I too faced situation s with Nimbus noida both Sector-5 and sector 64 though I had purchased my car from there with refrence of my close friend who used to be in Hyundai that time.
      Without any part replacement I use to have paid service bill of no less than 3500 every time.What's the fun? These people are playing with Hyundai name and defaming it with nation's name.hope any hyundain take it seriously with corrective measures.Even the experience with HMP(mathura road) was not so good though it is company run service centre. It appears as if they are falling apart with the volume of cars and work they are hitting.This remains basic issue in India where projects are launched with so much hue and cry but they start failing when it comes to provide services.not a single big shot corporate is able to handle it where it's automobile, mobile communication FMCG or any other sector.

      Hyundai Santro Xing — misguided to to earn more money

      service engineer misguided in kharadi service station,in left side sound was there in the strut, i please check and replace the sturt,after checking he told it is a major proplem both sturt and tyre end rods are to be replaced and it costs arround Rs25,000,then i told leave it do only searviceing,second time on 20/12/10 once again i went for replacing mud guard fibre cover and i asked abt sturt replcement and this time also alloted same engineer and i told clearly that dont make customers get affraid of services check thorowly and solve problems in minimum range,then he called me afternoon and told strut relacement and tyre end rod costs arround Rs 9000/- then i told pl dont do it,
      Then next i got appotunity to go mysore and i showed my vehicle in Advait hyundai searvice station 0n 28/12/10,they tolld its only minor problem one left side is to replaced and they solved problem and charged only Rs 1485/- and today my vehicle is running smooth.
      So i observed in kharadi pune kothari service station that they not taking care of customers,they are trying to replace maximum spare parts to earn more...this is bad please warn such engineers and sush searvice stations

      I am sorry to say that i have purchased new Santro Xing from kosmo HUNDAI, batala road, Amritsar
      model 2008 July (PB02-BC-7799) in the name of SHASHI BHUSHAN SHARMA. Its almost 4th year started but till the date i have not received my corporate discount and exchange bonus.

      Now local showroom people are not interested to talk with me on this topic more over it gives bad impact to the HUNDAI or in another words we can say this is the question of your(hundai) reputation. It dose not give bad impact on local showroom but definitely gives bad impact to hundai sir it is the question of your reputation so its my humble request kindly do the needful.

      i have given my santro car for service to sunrise hyundai.it was my car " first service for pick&drop they charged -rs.250-00.the servicing at patparganj is not good

        Dealer - Kun Hyundai , Kondapur, Hyderabad
        Hi,

        I got my i10 Era delivered around 9.00 PM on Dec 23rd-2009. I was driving back home hardly 9-10 kms and stopped in the petrol pump to fill fuel. Suddenly temperature got raised and fumes started coming from bonnet. I got scared and took the car outside petrol bunk and parked it outside and called service center.
        He came after an hour and immediately said 80% of clutch has been worn out. I told him that i drove hardly 10 kms and he said 1km is enough to worn out a new clutch. I am not able to believe this and i didn't drive with half clutch also. I was driving at 9 PM where almost roads where free and i used the clutch very less.

        This looks like defective part for me or defective assembly of the clutch plate. The service center guy said they don't cover the clutch but this looks like company defect where with in 10kms clutch worn out looks really impossible for me.
        I spoke to the sales manager and he said he will get back tomorrow.

          I had bought Hyundai i10 from Talwar Hyundai Hyderabad on 14th October 2009.
          It is an i10 1.2 Magna with all accessories. Till the time we were talking
          to the sales person and till we paid the amount everything was great. My
          troubles started once we went to take the delivery of the car. Please find
          below the list of issues we faced.

          1. The delivery was promised for 6:30 PM, but the car came to the
          showroom at 8:00 PM 1.5 hours late. Then there was no customary ribbon, car
          was very dirty. They cleaned it and gave it to us.

          2. The moment I entered the car, I saw that the digital clock display
          was no working, I showed the same to the sales person and he explained that
          it might be due to the stereo fitting. There might be a loose contact. He
          asked us to take the car to the accessories fitting center to get the same
          fixed.

          3. There was no steering cover on the steering even though it was a
          part of the accessories. We were asked to get that fitted as well when we
          took the car for clock display rectification.

          4. The clutch was very loose; it looked like we were given a second
          hand car that also he had to get fixed when we went to accessories center.

          5. My dad, who is above 70 had to visit the accessories fitting center
          to get these issues rectified. Even after that the clock was still not
          working. When I complained the same to the sales person, he mentioned that
          we can get the same fixed during 1st free service.

          6. We had taken the Xenos Stereo instead of Sony as we wanted a stereo
          with USB input. Whenever we switched the car on the stereo volume increased.
          When I complained the same, they changed the stereo for me, but for that to
          we had to go to the service center and stay there for almost 1 to 1.5 hours.
          In the process of doing that they damaged my upholstery.

          7. After these many visits, the clock was still not working.

          8. In the meantime the registration was done and that went on smoothly,
          no complains on that.

          9. After registration, it was the turn of Sun film, again my dad had to
          go to get the same done. After getting it done, when we saw the work, we
          were not satisfies. The spoiler light cover was taken out and not fixed, I
          fixed it at home. On the rear windshield glass, there are air bubbles which
          are clearly visible. The work was not done to perfection. My dad again had
          to take the car to the fitting center and they asked us to come when it was
          sunny day.

          10. Now was the time for 1st Free service, we went to the service center
          and mentioned all the defects, everything was rectified except the clock.
          The clock still doesn’t work. Also Teflon coating which is again a part of
          the package was not done, when I asked, I was told to come some other day or
          get it done with the 2nd free service.

          11. As if all these problems were not enough, since yesterday whenever we
          open the driver’s door there is a peculiar sound that emanates, I am not
          sure what the reason it. It may be due to a small accident we had; where in
          the front bumper is dented. Why I am not sure is because that this sound is
          coming 3 days after the accident.

          Hello,

          Seems like the problem with Showroom giving car without properly checked.
          Meet the Showroom Manager and raise the complaint.
          Give a acomplaint in writing.Better email him.

          If that doesnt work well, get in in touch with Hyundai straight away.
          They will surely help.
          Still the matter doesnt get sorted out, move to consumer court.

          I have purchase the new car Hyundai i10 (Magna) from your dealer M/S Deotsidh Motors Pvt. Ltd. (Sales Man Mr. Deepak Batra) in the name of Kusam Lata Prop. Kewal Soap Factory Saban Bazar Ludhiana against Bill No. 9M365364 Dated 09/08/09. Mr. Deepak Batra offers an exchange bonus of Rs.15000/-. So i sell the old car Maruti 800 to S.Lal Singh in Nabha (Distt. Patiala) through dealer S. Kamaljeet Singh Patiala (Mo.[protected] on the same date when i purchase the new car. I submitted the papers to Ms. Simmi in M/S Deotsidh Motors Pvt. Ltd. Dated 18/11/09 after receiving the last call from M/S Deotsidh Motors Pvt. Ltd. In Feb. i called Ms. Simmi to know the status of my exchange bonus. After two or three calls she said your claim was rejected due to late submition and when i said my papers submitted before the lapse of last date the she said your old car transfer copy stamp was not correct.
          Saturday i met with Mr. V K Dhir GM of M/S Deotsidh Motors Pvt. ltd. firstly he says your exchange bonus is Rs.10000/- not a Rs.15000/- secondly he says call me by Monday to know the status of your exchange bonus..
          So sir kindly look in to the matter and takes some favorable decision. Awaiting for your prestigious decision.

          Hyundai, i10 Magna — NON RECEIVAL OF EXCHANGE BONUS

            I have got my i20 delivered just 3 weeks ago and it has stopped working. The car was towed away after much hue and cry as the service people didn't wish to come on SUNDAY! Then I have been told after running pillars that the part is not available and will take at least 5 days ( I really don't know the limit of AT MOST). These people don't have any escalation matrix in place and nobody responds to your calls at the customer care number after once call as they have Caller IDs!!! They don't have any service policy.

            I really wouldn't recommend them to anybody!!

            We too got a i20 and are faacing problems with parts burning out and are extremely frustrated. We are having thoughts of taking this to consumer court so that the customer is not left cheated by such low quality conscious companies
            I brought a i20 CRDi from Trident Hyundai, Bangalore and I am facing lot of problems with it since 6 months. I have been running from pillar to post since the last 6 months but the problems are yet to be rectified. I have gone to different service centers of Trident Hyundai over 20 times and am completely frustrated and depressed. I have now decided to approach the consumer forum to seek justice and get my car replaced. I have never had the feeling of driving a new car .. a second hand Mauthi feels better than this.                 Dear Sir,

                I purchased my Hyundai i10 in September 2009 from Kun United located at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad.
                Defective vehcile delivered to me, when I addressed this issue with Kun hyundai they changed the ignition assembly and delivered it to me without inspecting the vehicle after replacing the parts, again when i took my vehicle to service station on 12th December 2009 they changed clutch plates and some other parts which didn't solved the problem and second time they delivered vehicle with inspecting the vehicle.

                Hyundai team are not understanding the customer feeling who bought the vehicle which costs almost 5 lakhs.

                We request your help in resolving the above mentioned issue.

                  i puchased i10 on 12th jan 2009 from ultimate automobiles industrial area phase 1 chandigarh,

                  i sold my maruti 8oo in the month of feb 2009, i applied for exchange bonus which i was promised

                  but till now i didnt recieved any money, even the company did not bother to reply to my letters, i feel

                  the company is cheating its custmors, the higher authorities are not taking custmors complaints

                  seriously, i will never ever recomend to any one to buy hyundai cars, hope some one listning.
                  I believe that Hyundai Has been off late adopting this Unfair Trade Practice of promising exchange discount of Rs.15000, but don't provide any documents for the same, except oral demands for various documents and later refuse the same on one pretext or the other.
                  Their sales representatives have been doing this in many dealerships, as I've read many such complaints off late, and M/s Shivansh Hyundai, Mandi HP duped me and my son with same false assurance as we bought two i10 Kappa Magna on 22nd June 2009, and I believe that Company Training Equips them with such false trade practices. The company should be brought to books.
                  We have also not received our Exchange Bonus for Hyundai Verna. Our Complain No. is still not yet seen by customare care dept in Hyundai. Complain No[protected].

                    Hi,

                    During my purchase of Hyundai-i10, i was shown extended warranty with some 1500/- around amount. I confirmed with them, about the extended warranty for few things as below..
                    - What is the period of warranty and what is the condition
                    - This warranty is from DSC or from Hyundai ?
                    - This warranty will be delivered in how much time ?

                    For which it was told, it is from Hyundai and will be sent to me in 30 days from direct hyundai.. it gives lucrative picture as hyundai is going to provide extra coverage on meagure amount.

                    Later it took 3 months to get the warranty, along with lot of followups... which was from DSC and not from Hyundai, so coverage is hardly anything and conditions apply... all services has to be done only in their service centers..... Some/most of the car users are mobile in this fast pace world, what is the use fo such extended warranty.......

                      Hi,

                      I have been the pride owner of Hyundai i10 since May-2009, and car is driving good.
                      Whereas since my purchase, i had got 2 services done by them.

                      During first service they required 2 days to get the car ready for delivery.... amazing.. !!!
                      During 2nd service, they agreed to remove the stains, which was there during PDI, and give the delivery in 5 hours.. repeatedly it was confirmed and then it took 3 days for them to make the car ready... Interesting part, after their delivery they realized after i brought in their notice... they have not bothered to clean the car from inside... (Was it a affect of free service???) -- they offered free car wash next time :)
                      While removing 2 stains, they left numerous dot marks of rubber paint on the roof...

                      So just becuase the car is good, it is running, otherwise if left on the grace of these service centers, running of the car cannot be guarenteed.

                        I have gave my Car PB 07 W 1240,Verna,CRDI, for repairs after a accident,in Punjab, to nearest Hyundai dealer,Novelty Hyundai Pathankot,After two months the car was not even touched,whereas on phone i was told work is on,as i live in shimla i could not visit the showroom. The Dealer Not Handed My RC to surveyor which was lying there for 45 days,so my claim got delayed. My Essential parts were missing and deliberately damaged especially plastic parts. They made a claim of Tail lights where as my front was damaged. Unnecessary parts were included. I gave instructions to Hyundai motors to not to do these repairs and replacement. If necessary ill do it personally not by claim.
                        Now those parts are missing ,damaged and car was kept in stockyard. My Steering Assembly was damaged, One headlight is missing and few plastic items.
                        My car is still with them ,due to which i suffered monetarily as traveling to pathankot, putting up five days in hotel,, my travel expenditure and my mothers checkup coated almost 15000 as i had to take a cab. My professional work is affected. The Total monetary loss is more than 50000
                        Please give my complaints to relevant officials, as my complaints to Hyundai from one month have not given a tangent Result

                            Hi Sir,

                            I have a Santro Xing XO Nov 2005. On 15 nov it was overheathed. I went to the Orien Hundai Service center,Gurgaon and they replaced the Gas kit and several other things in the engine. On 23 nov my car met with a small accident in which my back door was hit. I gave the vehicle to them for repair and car was runnig fine at that time. They kept my car for around 10 days with them. When I went to take the delivery of my car the car was not starting. Now they say that car engine have some problem.

                            First thing is that when I gave the car it was running fine then how come in those 10 days engine is faulty ? If there was some issue at that time also with the engine then why have they delivered me the car back ?
                            Secondly In 15 days of getting the gas kit and other parts repaired in engine again they are saying that I have to pay for the engine repair.
                            If this is the service of an authorized dealer then whats the difference between an Hundai Service center and a local road side mechanic.....
                            I want them to repair my car without any charges as car is defected in their premises or give me the money back which I paid them for gas kit repair.

                              I have purchased an Hyundai i10 on December 26 ,2008 from DPG Hyundai Patiala. At the time of purchaseof the vehicle the dealer promised me to provide me the exchange bonus of 15000 on the car but till date neither anybody from dealership nor form Hyundai motors try to contact me for the bonus as I have not received it yet. I gave several reminders to the dealership and laso to the area offoce of Hyundai but nobody felt bother to serve it as a result now I addressed the consumer forum.Please let me know at the earliest waht all I can do so that same thing should not happen with other customer.

                              I10 — Exchange Bonus and Corporate Discount

                              I purchased Hyuandai i10 from Goyal Automotive Limited, Jalandhar vide Invoice Number:H[protected] dated 22/07/2009. In the package I was offered exchange bonus of Rs.15000 and corporate discount of Rs.4000 to be paid within three months from the date of purchase. I completed all the formalities within prescribed period but I have not so far heard anythinh from the concerned dealer.No one is making proper reply to my query.

                              Please apprise me with the factual position and inform within what time I will get my exchange bonus and corporate discount.

                              dpg hyundai patiala — regarding service of car

                              sir/madam.i sent my car for repair in dpg hyundai on 6june 2011 for repair.The manager of company commit to give car by 7june or 8th june .but i was surprised to see the condition of car they told me that head gas kit has to be changed which is not available with company it will come in 2 or 3days or if hurry i should make it available .so i went to ludhiana and got the kit and gave them on 13/06/2011.Then after giving they give me car on 17june 2011 and pay yhe bill of RS16372 by cheque .on 18june2011 the car again stop in between the way i called them they toe the car to dpg again.Iwent on 20/06/2011 again they said again same problem.as i was so harrased and want to sue them .They told me not to pay and shift to car to other dealer .so i shifted my car to sewakunj motors khanna.there i have to pay RS43972.I thought matter is over but now again letter from dpg hyundai come why i made stop payment of cheque. i want kindly look in to this matter and let me know.

                                Dear Sir/ Madam

                                This is regarding with the service support from Hyundai Ltd. I have purchased i10 vehicle from M/s Continental Hyundai , Mulud in August 2009. I have faced lots of issue with M/s Continental Hyundai , Mulud.

                                The list of problem is as below.

                                1) I have finalized my vehicle in the month of July and made 100% payment against Continental Hyundai, they people assured me a delivery within 15 days but after lots of follow up they had failed to deliver my vehicle on time. They gave me delivery on 1st August 2009.

                                I had asked him for compensation as they made late delivery so Mr Umesh
                                (Shop Manager) promise me compensate Rs 5000 but they failed to do this.These people are very eager to sell the vehicle but not ready for after sells support.

                                2) Some days back they called for insurance paper with Smart card, but when I have visited Continental, they told me smart is lying with another office, you have to come again for same.

                                3) After two month, when I had gone to M/s Sharayu Hyundai, New Mumbai for first servicing then I was shocked because even I have paid for third year extended warranty amount but My vehicle was not register in your online system for 3rd year extended Warranty. Immediately, I Was informed Continental guys but they took very lightly . They told me they will check & let me know but till date they haven’t informed me exact position about this . They are saying from company side it’s late. whereas on customer slip is is written that within 4 weeks customer get his warranty certificates.

                                4) At the time of vehicle delivery, Auto cop car security system was fitted in my car but there technician forgotten to place rear door Open/ Closed switch for door open indication switch. This has also informed Umesh & prashant but they people are not serious about customer support.

                                5) I am regularly following up this issue , but every day they are telling me some other story for there failures. Today I got a call from Prashant (Service Supervisor)that they have orderd this switches today and they will tentatively receive by next 11 days.
                                Continental people are harassing customer. This has happened with one my friend ,who is also facing similar issue.

                                Mr.Umesh ( Shop Manager) promise me to solve this issue till Tuesday but since Prashant told me some different story I don’t think they will come to my place .

                                I would like to inform you that If tomorrow ( 1 Decemner 2009) , Continental Hyundai fail to fix my issue then after they will pay Rs 1000 per day till problem fix to me as a compensation.
                                This is very serious issue , Hyundai has to take some strict action so that they will save there brand name .

                                    I bought a Hyundai i10 from Orion Automobiles, Gurgaon in April 09. Some noise was detected in engine of the car in August and subsequent complaint was made to the local dealer in Baroda - DownTown Motors. The car was sent for examination on 7th Oct 09 and an engineer was summoned from Chennai to examine the fault and relevant parts were sought from Chennai. However, the problem was still not resolved and the case was moved to another dealer Aldiam Motors in Baroda on 31st Oct 09. Till date, neither the fault has been fixed nor has the car been delivered by the dealer. The deadline gets extended every week by the dealer sighting new complications every time. The dealer also says that the similar problem can occur in future as well. It's but natural that if so many complications are occurring in a car which hasn't run even 3000 kms then there is a manufacturing defect which is not acknowledged by the dealer.
                                    In the light of above situation, we sought a replacement of the car with a fresh unit from Hyundai Motors Ltd. However, no response has been received from them despite sending repeated communication

                                    It is very unfortunate this is happening.I have also purchased an i10 era last month and not satisfied with the performance of the car.My car has mbeen serviced 10 days back and still the problem of wheel balancing not been done.Trying to get this piont to the dealer seems getting no proper answer

                                      I purchased a Hyundai i10 ERA in November 2008 and was pretty happy with its performance until it crossed a mileage of 4000 km. Now, every time I start my car I have to wait for a minute or two before actually start driving. Not waiting leads to missing, and results in a jerky driving experience. I raised this complaint with the company dealers (Company dealers: Safdarjung, Gurgaon; Ultimate, Chandigarh) and they told me that the problem is not exclusive to me and is faced by other i10 owners also. Recently, they informed me that the company has concluded that these problems are being caused due to usage of adulterated fuel. However, the statement seems like a face saving exercise by the company. I have two cars and i refuel my cars from the same petrol station. The other car (Ford Fiesta - Petrol) is working perfectly fine. Hence, instead of blaming the adulterated fuel, the company should invest its resources to correct this manufacturing defect. Persons who are facing the same problem and are sick of jerking around in i10 can reply in the comments section. Hyundai should get to know that Indian consumers are not naive and they should get their R&D complete before launching a product into market.

                                      my car had little accident car wasent starting i took to hyuandi garage to start the car they diddent star the car and put in h p i iwant to start car fuel gage not moving at all i put 10 pound petrol as well

                                        I have a Hyundai Accent, a 2003 model, bearing registration number DL - 5CP - 0053, which developed a snag in the month of July 2007. The car was giving immense trouble while driving on Petrol and fortunately I was able to manage my drive on the CNG installation.

                                        Before I start with the actual complaint I also would like to share a small background. I was also the owner of a Daewoo Cielo car make which developed myriad problems from time to time and I had trouble arranging for the genuine spare parts that were increasing hard to find because of the company’s shut down.

                                        It was a most excellent car for it’s price and I was always sure that I would have maintained it if the company was operational. The constraint I felt in keeping that car was only that if the company was operating and all spares available, I would have been all willing to spend even upto a lac of rupees to make it good.

                                        Hence the need generated for a car that I thought has sold numbers and is there to stay. A make backed by a car company that could be trusted with mechanical expertise, so that in the event of any technical nag, the company with it’s original equipment could easily be trusted to restore the car to it’s optimal performance.

                                        Thus came the choice of the Accent make from the Hyundai stable and even the thought of looking at their company owned service outlet at the Mohan Co-operative Industrial Area at any sign of trouble.

                                        I registered my car for fault finding on the 6th of July and was told that there is trouble with the Fuel Pump Assembly of the car. The only solution given was the replacement of the Fuel Pump Assembly for an approximate price of Rs.7,000/-.

                                        A local mechanic that I visited, on the other hand was very sure that the problem was with the Oxygen Sensor within the Fuel Assembly. He was even sure to the extent that he had experienced a similar trouble with another Hyundai make.

                                        He even went out to the extent of suggesting to speak to the official mechanics at the Hyundai Motors set-up and gave inputs upon saying that if the computerised settings were looked into the problem will be sorted.

                                        Not withstanding the advice, the mechanics at Hyundai eventually changed the Fuel Pump Assembly and hence raised a bill amounting to about Rs.7,000/-. The interesting part is that the problem was temporarily resolved only while the car was being tested but otherwise still persistent.

                                        Having a regular job in the corporate world and being unable to take too many leaves on account of a car trouble, I was groping for possible solutions and ways to save time to be able to get the car repaired without having to look out for another off from office.

                                        Upon my phone call to the Hyundai personnel handling the case, the feedback upon the persistent problem did not evoke any responses other than having to say that I get the car back to them for another check-up. As such the senior mechanics at Hyundai’s very own service station at Mohan Co-operative were speechless about it.

                                        The experience was frustrating and I wondered how a piece of machine built so finely from a scratch by the very hands of the people of a company, was now, so to say, irreparable in the hands of the people of the same company.

                                        On a Sunday, at the car market at Kotla Mubarakpur, I found myself looking at having at least my CNG installation up to the mark since my mobility literally depended upon it. And to my utter surprise, while I related my experience to the mechanic there, he assured me look into helping to his utmost best.

                                        I was expecting he would need time and hence drifted to a nearby market, only to receive a call from the same mechanic in about 15 minutes, informing that the car was done and there should not be any further trouble with it.

                                        The car is functioning without any trouble since then and he gave me the solution that people at even Hyundai were unable to resolve.

                                        I am unwilling to share that solution here in this mail and it is not that I am all bleeding with the incurrence of that unwanted billing of the Rs.7,000/- amount. But what the experience at Hyundai has done is to question my faith in the ability of the, so called, trained mechanics of this very BIG giant of an organization that call themselves HYNDAI.

                                        It is now not surprising to see that their official website does not have any real time complaint box to cater to their clients. It speaks volumes for a car maker to becoming snobbish in their own way to deliver cars without promises. To nurture pride without acceding to pot holes where they can fail.

                                        I had totally given up upon having anything to with the car company as such and planned to just depend on my local mechanics for running of my car. The thought however, still trouble me when I think of the pinch of my hard earned money having spent effortlessly. Lacking the effort of the company officials at Hyundai.

                                        And what I look forward to with this mail is that if there are people at Hyndai, willing to LISTEN to their customers, then I shall very much be in want of a refund of the brunt of Rs.7,000/- that I have had to face on account of their negligence. And in return I can share that small solution which a local mechanic administers leasing life to the car that is otherwise HYUNDAI.

                                        RAHUL KUMAR AND THERE V P MR.PATNAIK TO DELIVER THE CAR ON 26/11/2009 .

                                        BUT ON THAT PARTICULAR DATE THEY HAD DINIED TO MAKE DELIVERY .

                                        AND THEY TOLD ME WE HAD DELIVER YOUR COMMITED i10 TO ANY OTHER BUYER .THIS IS TOTAL FROUD FROM ASHIANA ANLONG WITH HYUNDAI MOTOR.

                                        I HAD NEVER EXPECTED THIS KIND OF TOTAL FAILURE AND TOTAL CHEAT FROM HYUNDAI MOTOR .

                                        IF THIS IS MANNER YOUR HYUNDAI MOTOR WORKS IN INDIA, I CAN ASSURE ALL THAT COMPANY GOODWILL WILL NOT LAST LONGER IN INDIA .AND THE DAYS ARE NUMBERED IN INDIA..


                                        COMPANY ARE HAVING GRADE LESS DEALERS .IF YOU ARE SILL WORKING WITH THEM, CO ARE IN SAME GRADE.
