The wiring of the company fitted CNG kit burnt within 3 months of purchase, there was smoke all over the bonnet.I some how managed to get out. I reported the matter to Hyundai and they took the car for inspection and mantainance. After the assurance that the problem will not occur again I took the car back.

To my shock the same thing happened again, the comapany behaved in same fashion again.
But now this is being regalar affair.
This is the 5 th incident, Every time I face the risk of my life.

Last time Hyundai(regional office) kept my car for 2 weeks with the, I got a written mail from them assuring that the root cause of the issue is identified now and rectified.
Pls check the attached series of mails.

But again after 3 days the car break down in the middle of road, It wont start even on petrol.

I never believed that a comapany as good as Hyunadi can deliver product with such pathetic qulaity.
Not only that they are playing with life of customers.

I requested them to just remove the KIT, but that also is not happening.

I feel helpless and raged.

I am approaching the Consumer Forum and lodging a case for all the harassment I faced.

Even after all the assurances by Hyundai, I am facing same issue again.

This is the most horrible and troublesome experience for me.

This time I will take it to the required form, to get my issues addressed.

There is still no response from any of the concerned person.

I am worried if there is any accident which happens after all this, who will be responsible.

These days there are so many freak accidents with CNG vehicles these days.

This is the third time that the wiring of the CNG kit fitted in my car has burned down.

I dont know why there is no action on this.

Hi Gopi,

I tried to contact Mr Rishi & Mr Rochak Rawat from Hyundai.
They are just repairing the wires & there is no guarantee that this will not happen again.

This is very serious to me & I can not take any risk now.

Either the company gives me assurance in written that this will not happen(this is the third incident), If not then pls remove the kit and pay back the cost of it.

After 4 days there is no update from anyone on this.

Pls take this on priority.

Hi Thrideep,

I got my car with reg number HR26 AU 2228 (Hyundai Santro CNG) through Lease Plan.

There are continuous issues with the CNG kit.

There was fire in the wiring of the KIT, I duly reported this to the company(Safdurjung hyundai) and they fixed it.

But with the span of 2 months again I got issues with the KIT and got that repaired from them.

Yesterday also while driving smoke started coming out of the bonnet.

All the wiring of of the Kit got burnt, but I managed to get out of the car.

I am not able to start the car now even on petrol.

This is of grave concern to me, I want to lodge a complaint with police/customer grievance cell.

Request you to please take this on priority and escalate the same with relevant people.

I am willing to get the Kit removed if they pay back the amount they charged for it.

Himgiri Hyundai/ Santro — guarantee issue

i purchased my car numbered DL 8CT 0945 on 30jan,2010. Recently a paid service has been done by the company workers in himgiri hyundai, wazirpur, delhi. But still there is a major issue of break oil system. There is a problem in the master cylinder of breaking system and my car is in guarantee period but the company employer asked me to pay the expenditure for the same.
please resolve my problem as soon as possible.
For futher any problem due to this break system issue, the company will be responsible for any kind of fault.

    I have purchased Hyundai I10 Magna Model from Shivnath Hyundai, Raipur in the month of April as per their Bill No T[protected] Dated[protected].

    During the period of 2 months i found that twice the staring of the vehicle has totally blocked and there wasn't any movement. if So it is a critical safety Issue.

    On 7th of June while I was in return journey from my native place near Mirzapur (UP) To Raipur (CG), after 30 Km journey I felt that the indicator of my car is showing engine overheating indication, I have checked out everything through a mechenic at manda Road previous evening and found Oil, Lubricant etc. in Order.

    Due to the day of Sunday i didnt find any solution, next day on Monday i tow my vehicle up to Dee-hyundai at allahabad, they advice us to leave the vehicle for their checking and rectification. later on when they open the front bumper of the vehicle they found a spot on Ac-condenser and there was a crack in the Hose Pipe of Radiator. later on service centre dined to rectify the vehicle in warranty and reported that lot of spares like Piston Ring, Valve and Gasket has to be replaced.

    even if i was ready to bear the expenses company has not supplied the spares and my vehicle is on service center from last one month.

    With This writeup I would like to know the following facts

    1. I have no accident and without any accident how can the radiator hose pipe can be break? the Dee-Hyundai mechanics says that it happens due to any impact from bottom side. if so why it doesn't happens to other model, Is it a designing fault that a Small things which comes from road can not reach up to the hose pipe with a speed by which it can break hose pipe.

    2. The dealers are handicapped as they are not getting the spares on time. Is Hyundai has a policy to accumulate the orders from dealers and by accumulating product wise they instruct the production floor guys to manufacture the Spares. as from last one month my vehicle is not being rectified due to non shipment of spares from Hyundai Motors.

    and complaint made to customer care is not affected, they doesn't take any action.

    Any one can suggest me the Address and telephone no of Hyundai motors as everywhere on there site there is only the information of customer care which is totally care less with the problems of there customers.

    We bought a Hyundai i10 with a 1.2 litre engine in March 2009. It has a problem with starting the engine. 5 times, it has not turned the electric starter motor, when I turn the key. All electric systems work OK. All control lamps are "ON" as they should be according to the manual.
    It was towed to the local Hyundai workshop, where we bought it brand new 5 months ago. They tightened a few cable connections and that was it.
    Since, it has resfused to start three times.
    Each of these last three times, we have - just to try something - set it in reverse gear, clutch open, let it roll backwards half a meter, let go the clutch, so the engine parts move a little.
    And - Wupti - it starts as it should.
    Does anyone know what could be the culprit?
    The anti-theft-system?
    Some other electronic part?
    hello sir i am using 1.2 magna model i was found the problem in my car my car delivery in 17 nov 2008 .my problem is the shocker bush is doing noice i am check the noice to the fx hyundai in faridabad.on 22oct 2009 but your mechanic i is saying it is ok.today i am going to wheel balancing they said the shocker bush is not working its damage. so only i am asked company is given warranty or not .

      Cheated by Dealer - Hans Hyundai, New Delhi

      Hi,

      I am having a serious issue with my Hyundai Santro Xing GLS model car from Hans Hyundai dealer.

      My Case Details are as follows:

      1. I bought a car for my Father Mr. Abdul Sahid, from Hans Hyundai, New Delhi, dated 12 Jan 2009. Registration number is DL4C ND 6995.

      2. I got my RC on 14-June'09, after approached so many times. I got my RC at least 5 months late, which is delayed.

      3. When I received my RC, I saw car manufacturing date was too old (March 2008), which is near about 1 year old car they sold to me. I informed to dealer but they refused.

      4. When Car was delivered to my house, on that day some mechanics were repairing inside cabin light.

      5. Barcode information sticker was missed from side window on delivery time, when I asked to dealer, he told me that sticker was washout when washed the car.

      6. On delivery time I saw a dent on inside driver side gate, this was also informed dealer Mr. Rajiv Talwar, but he told me that he was not aware for that.

      7. Left front door look likes dented and painted.

      8. Left front and right back door closing not properly.

      9. I saw lot of dust below seats, when seat cover was prepared outside another shop.

      10. 3rd gear having problem to take.

      11. Taking heavy load, when Car is running in 4th and 5th Gear.

      12. Also engine was looked too dusty when open at the time of delivery.

      11. 10 Years Hyundai logo was not on the Car at the time of delivery.

      The whole episode was highly disappointing with respect to brand value of Hyundai motors and damaging the sales image of the company specially the quality of inhospitable response I got from Hans Hyundai. It was highly avoidable and least appreciated.

      Please respond to my grievance as soon as possible and advice me on the solution. Else I will be forced to file a legal suit for my refund and also for the compensation for the mental agony and loss of time & energy I suffered due to whole episode. The main case shall be of being cheated by Hans Hyundai Dealer.

        Below is the history of the problem:



        I am owning Hyundai- Getz GVS (TN10R-7581) bought two years before from DSC-Hyundai-Chennai. Its under 4 year extended warranty (run 18250 kms in 2 years). Always does the service from DSC-Hyundai – Saligramam, Chennai.



        Last months I noticed

        1)humming noise coming (I suspected bearing noise)

        2) steering is tight not freely moving as earlier – asked the DSC-Hyundai mechanic to check, after checking they replied its tyre noise, one tyre weared at inner side, asked me to do the alignment.



        I did the alignment they rotated the wheels as recommended – after that stering become normal but noticed if I go 110km/hour speed stering vibrated – then they recommended to do wheel balancing.



        Wheel balancing done only for two wheels as they noticed two tyres are having wear &tear inner side – they said it could be because of bearing or suspension problem. From one tyre to two tyres got the same problem and kept both at the rear side.



        I took the vehicle to DSC – Hyundai Saligrmam service center yesterday and I told the entire details as above.. they checked and said disc bent was there which is been rectified, bearing oil pack done and refixed.

        There should not any more problem they said.



        But today I hear lot of noise (including humming noise).



        I am afraid that third tyre also will get damage soon.. and if it happens I am serious about it and Hyundai has pay for the tyres.. bearing problem could have appeared with this shortest period – may be because of manufacturing problem. I expect Hyundai should take initiative and resolve this issue.





        Latest condition :



        I did the paid service 17th june got delivered on 19th june.

        Reported the same problem “leftside front tyre wearing out at innerside”.

        While took the delivery they said,

        - they did the paid service

        - called the tyre manufacturer and took the report

        - identified the lower arm problem which had bent which caused the tyre wearing, is been rectified and,

        promised that I will not have this problem again. (I said I will give feedback after running the vehicle at least for 2 to 3 hundred kms and give feedback).



        It is now the same problem continue to exist after all these efforts (3 tyres - wear’d and still problem is not rectified because of not identifying the problem properly)



        I am thinking of going to consumer court if I don’t receive prompt response and solve the problem in my vehicle.

          dear sir, i purchased hyundai verna crdi dt.06/12/2006 from hyundai motor plaza(delhi) & extend my car warrranty for third year by giving 10000/-rs.apporx.my complaint is that my car head light is leak & dust come inside this assy.i visit hmp for this complaint but they said we cannot change this light in warranty &you will pay for this.please solve my problum.

          I agreed with it because I had visited HMP several times for servicing of my Hyundai Getz and they tried to avoid the replacement of Parts during Extended warranty Period. I came to know from the reliable sources that if you know some one inside the HMP, you can get the parts easily changed even if they are defective or not.
          In some cases you have to offer some lucrative thing to their staff to get the work done

            Complaint of Santro Xing:Service centre has denied to repair the vehicle under waranty that to after keeping the vehicle 8 with them.
            Vehicle Reg No-BR 1AH-5022
            Date of purchase:11/12/2007
            Vehicle Dealer Name:Krrish Hyundai
            First three services carried by Ashiana Hyundai Patna(Near benibabu garden)


            Third Free service was carried by Ashiana Hyundai on 15/03/2009.Odometer reading was 904km.
            At that time i reported them for starting problem, they denied to take it for underwaranty repair.
            I got my all three services carried out in front of me and i found they were doing only
            Car washing, Engine scan(That of no use because eventhough fault was there but it did find any trouble in the vehicle).


            After that i gave my vehicle to Krrish Hyundai service centre (Near nutan tower).
            His driver came for pick up the vehicle on 20/06/2009 but vehicle engine got ceased in the middle of the road.
            Service manager accepted the vehicle for underwaranty repair.He didnot diagnos the problem infront of me.

            He had agrred for underwaranty repair and gave me the Expected date of delivery 23/06/2009.
            When i went there to take my vehicle they told that due to improper quality of petrol following things has happen.

            1.Carbon has got deposited on to the all 12 valves(8 intake and 4 exhaust valves) and due to that two rocker arms has got dammaged.

            They told that they have send the mail hyundai for getting the parts of the vehicle and they will be receiving it by saturday and they will give the delivery on sunday.



            Today at arrournd 11:45, his service Engg Mr.Satish has called on my cell and ask me to come to the service centre, i took the off from my duty and went there

            Now the situation was entirely changed.

            They denied to repair the vehicle underwaranty they were putting blame on that i have mixed diesel with petrol and thats why entire dammage has occured.

            Even the service manager Nitesh is not able to explain the answer of my quesstion and each member of your service centre are putting blame on me.


            My dear friend if there was any petrol related issue why the same was not being diagnosed in front me and at the time of taking the vehicle for underwaranty repair.,

            Who can assure me that service centre guy cant mix any thing in petrol just for putting blame on customer.

            I am a technical person working with Nokia but your service centre technical guys were not answering my question, he says he cant explain to me, its his internal matter.





            Can your Service manager Nitesh can explain me how a diesel mix petrol can create carbon on itake and exhaust valve.
            How he has diagnosed that diesel was mixed in the petrol.
            How rocking arms has got broken due to carbon in valves.



            I suspect following

            1.Defective Rocker arm has fitted into my Engine.
            2.Carbon May got deposited due to improper firing sequence, pre ignition, improper Air Fuel mixture in the engine.
            3.Rocker arm may be defective from begining.



            Please take this as a part o[censored]nderwaranty repair service .
            Currently your service centre has given me an estmate of 11000Rs(5300 only Justfied)
            They have charged for follwing

            Engine OH labour charge[protected]-1100
            Inlet valve 8PCS[protected][protected]
            Rocker 2 Pcs[protected][protected]
            Exhaust valve 4Pcs[protected]-704
            Head Gasket[protected][protected]
            Valve seal[protected][protected]
            Leath work[protected][protected] approx

            Please make a note i am not going to pay any rupee for this case as the vehicle has covered only 1207 Km.

            I do claim all these thing for underwaranty repair and asking hyundai to cahnge the entire engine.

            If i am not getting the solution for the same i will put a case aginst hyundai in consumer form and also i will give this email to Pahredar of TV18.

            I will not take the vehicle till my entire problem are not getting addressed by HMI.

              I am Sridhar from Pondicherry.I bought a Hyundai i20- Magna, after selling off Swift, from KUN Hyundai, Pondicherry.At the time of purchase I had asked for fog lamps to be fitted.They said that there were'nt any stock of fog lamps and asked me to wait.The next time I asked the dealer, he said that the fog lamps are in the process of R & D.I had even lodged a complaint but there was'nt any reply.Yesterday when I called up the dealer, they asked me to bring the vehicle.After about an hour they said there was'nt any provision for fitting the fog lamps.
              I have this basic doubt and question that when others cars of the same company could have the provision why not the i20-Magna.
              I am really upset as it is totally uncomfortable while driving at night.

              Hotels in Pondicherry — Hotel Karthik Pondicherry -- too bad

              One weekend, I went to pondicherry with my freinds(#3). We took South indian lunch at Hotel Karthick located betweeh Pondy bus-stand and Hotel Mass. We faced very bad experience with that hotel. We never had such kind of bad quality of food and poor in service. Even road side shop is better, give good service and have good relationship with customer. I was very shocked about that toliet doesnnt have doors.which is next to main kitchen. There is no chance to get hygenic foods. When we told to all those things to that hotel's manager. He warned us to reach home safely. He called some rowdies and try to threaten us finally we escaped for them with help of one politician.
              Please take a necessary action.
              i have an i20 asta.. The fog lamps hardly even matter..i feel no difference wen i drive my other car without fog lamps
              I too have purchased I20 magna on Jun 18, 2009. There is no provision for fixing fog lamps on the front side. If it all it is has to be fixed, we should go in for change of the entire bumper and ask for Asta bumper, and the cost of which may be very high. One can manage without any fog lamps in the normal weather. Only during rainy season, that too when rains are heavy, it may be difficult to ride.

              i am interested in buying i20 and i have taken road test.i found the leg space for the driver seat is not adequate and the dash board beneath steering is very low thus cause touching legs with the lowered dash board.can any body throw light on this aspect?

              Seriously needless to say customer is paying 5.5 lac for a car which is not a small amount & it's not having provision to fix fog lamps..?Co.'s Representative says customer have to change the bloody bumper.
              Even the small car like alto, santro & wagonar have got provision to fix..I suppose hyundai R&D is Reading & Listening it out to have solution for this.Otherwise it's gonna be affecting it sales.
              i had booked i20 megna on the 23/25 nov. 2009 but i yet not receive any status information about my booking. i had promised the delivery of car on the 7 dec. 2009. that was past away. i have to widhdrew my claim if your iresponible behaviour continue.

              My opinion :

              Good car with very good comforts, except the drawback of having fog lamp which i am suffering too.. but that doesn't make the car bad ... simply b'coz it has the best seating and steering .. ease gear comforts which u may not find it any other cars like swift or any ...
              i too own 2 cars (fiat punto and i-20) and recently sold my Alto... i-20 does not have any issue in terms of maintainence .. but piece of advice would be to have extended warranty ..

              Fog lamp requirement may not be that much in rainy season ... believe me i have rode it in worst rains.. i have rode the car for more than 10, 000 KMs... without any problem in vehicle..

              Only comprise is in terms of mileage... think abt it if it matters ... else its a good buy..

              I purchased I20-Magna on 14.01.2010, but till date I have not received my registration & insurance policy paper of my car. My dealer is Krishna Hyundai, (west region) Korba, Chattisgarh. Kindly instruct the dealer for the same.
              The Company fitted fog lamp doesn't make any difference in view, its only for viewing things just close to the bonnet.
              hey guys... i think i m the i 20 owner with the maximum driving car...31000+ KMS done in my hyundai i 20 yes u guys r absolutely correct that fog lamps can not be fitted in i 20 MAGNA *(mee too suffering with the same problem as i want to fit fog lamps in my car)* but its really doesn't makes any difference in the outside lightening... i 'll say that fog lamps are totally for LOOKS of the car and less usefull...

              rest the car is very very superb, the ultimate car i have driven it 1400 Kms in a stretch with out any halt more then 15 minutes... so friends i must say u have purchased a perfect car, most spacious, perfect piece of engineering. so enjoy ur car and i[censored] r desperete for the fog lamps ...then do like me ... i just change my bumper ...and got of i20 ASTA and fog lamps are now illuminating in my i20 magna...

              foglamp provision not provided unless i chanege bumper, very inconvinient at night and winters. This is a basic safety feature, which the company fails to understand. Please dont expext customers to buy a new bumber and inverst so much just for fog lamps.

              Fog Lamps could be a help in twilight or along with headlamp to improve the low beam light density. I have a solution for u guys. Change the Head Lamp Bulb to 130/90 (Hella) along with (regulator / cutout as they say) Total Cost should not exceed 1000/-

              Yes, there is no provision on i-20 magna, era, sportZ for fog lamp. You need to change front bumper that costs 2 Rs.10500. At the time of booking salesperson told me that there is no provision for fog lamp on those model so I changed my mind and booked Asta instead of SportZ.

              i have i20-asta petrol model. i am facing a problem in my car i went fr a trip to dehradun during my hault i observed that boot cabin is very hot especially on the side exhaust is present. my luggage bag was very hot. i am not able to find out the cause of it as i have shown to the service centre engineers.

              yes i would agree with the complaint..i also brought anew i20 sportz diesel i bought it from lakshmi hyunda ap..i had a doubt, that why hyundai is not providing rear viper and foglamps for i20 diesel sportz eventhough it is the top second model in i20.. when i asked him about this to the sowroom dealer he was unable to answer me.so i request the company to arrange this immediately..
              Its very true... When i10 sportz has got the rear wiper why it should not be provided for i20, when it it a higher version of the same make?? Even there is no provosion for fog lamps, when asked with the dealer simply said it can not be done otherwise change the bumper to Asta. The multidisplay does not display " Distance to Empty" funtion
              i also hv same problem with fog lamps. i am having an Asta i20. unfortunately i went and hit one stray dog and my car's rt fog lamp mildly dislodged inside. when i asked the dealers immediately they said that fog lamps in Asta is fitted to bumper with a screw and its broken and they dont have any option to repair it. but only to replace the whole bumper. it is very sad that jst for a broken screw, replacing with a new bumper.

              I HAVE HUNDAI I-20 MAGNA REGISTRATION NO- MP-17-CA 4230. PURCHASED IN JUNE 2010 FROM STAR AUTO MOBILE SATNA. I HAVE SEND MY CAR FOR SERVICE IN DEE MOTERS ALLHABAD ON DATED 28-JUNE-2011. BEFORE SERVICE AVERAGE OF MY CAR WERE 15 PLUS AND AT PRESENT 6-7 KM/LTR. THEN I HAVE SEND MY CAR TO STAR SERVICE STATION SATNA ON DATED 04.07.2011. STEERING PROBLEM SOLVED FROM SATNA .BUT STARTING PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED FROM SATNA. AVERAGE IS VERY POOR 6-7KM /LTR. REQUEST PLEASE SEE MY PROBLEM.
              I support your view; a car which starts from a range of around INR 6 Lacs, should leave a provision for fog lamps...it is upto the customers who will decide whether to fit the lamp kit or not, on the basis of their requirement.
              I bought i20-Magna (my first car) and my father bought i10-Magna in February 2010. I can say i10 AC is quite good but i20 AC is indeed PATHETIC. Some one said the blower does not reach AC cooling to the forehead is absolutely true. It may make you sick but in extreme heat there should be option to cool your head ! A visit to AC technician and cleaning the filters helped to some extent but not much. Fog lamps is another issue for Era and Magna cars. I inquired a lot in Ahmedabad but no one seems to have any clue about i-20 Fog Lamping. I loved this car very much since apart from AC there is no other major issue, Fuel Average was low around 11-12 maximum in city conditions with AC on. Pick up is good and car feels rough and tough. But due to the pathetic AC cooling, I sold i-20 to go in for New Honda Jazz and the AC was the first thing I checked! Ford Figo is another car with reportedly very good AC.
              DEAR Sir/Madam,
              This is to bring to your notice that I had given my i20 Asta CRDI. VIN NO: MALBB51RLAM199835, REG NO: UKO7-AF-2800 for the third routine service on 12th Oct 2011.The car was in perfect condition when it was given for the service. The car was delivered back to me on 14th Oct 2011, after driving the car for just five six kilometers I found that the pick up of the my car was too low and the car started missing again and again and also started emitting too much smoke. Next days I went back to the same authorized service dealer where the service of my car was done.(Commercial Hyundai, Gandhi Road Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India)
              I was promised that the car will be delivered back to me by evening. when I contacted them they said that the car is still not ready and it will be delivered next day, again they said the same thing next day and the same thing was said for the next few days. On 19th Oct I went to the service center, they said that the sensor of the car is not working and they do not have the same in their stock and it will take three working days to get it, I asked the service Manager Mr Rashid that weather he is sure of It, He told me that he is sure of it subsequently. I email the same to the Hyundai customer care in india.I received the mail from [protected]@hmil.net back saying that the dealer will call back within three days but as of now I have not received any call from their side so I called up the Tel NO. [protected] given in your email contact person ms. nishu of Central 2 Regional Office, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and they informed me that they have tried the new sensor also but the problem is not with the sensor as told by Mr Rashid, This shows how efficient the people working with the authorized service centre are. Today as of now they have not been able to identify the exact cause of the malfunctioning of my car which is still under warranty and has not even completed sixteen thousand Kilometers.and today i called again to your central2 regional office there ms nishu your executive assured me that my car is under repair now and it will be deliver to you sharp 5:30 pm by this evening pm. and i'll inform you at 5:00 . when i did'nt get the call from ms. nishu then again i called back to ms. nishu at 6:15 pm (ph: [protected] ) there some body pick up the phone and said ms nishu has been left the office and our office is closed till diwali and you can contact us after the diwali. then i rushed to dealer at 7:00 pm there mr rashid said that your car is still not ready the problem is not resolved yet. so sir i totally hrassing by your dealer no feedback from ur side. I believe there has been some major problem with the car which has occurred because of the incompetency of the dealer who are servicing the car or the car has got some manufacturing defect. so i am going to register a case in consumer court ( Dehradun Uttarakhand) tomorrow itself aganist the dealer .(Commercial Hyundai, Gandhi Road Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India) and Hyundai Motors india ltd

              Guys The fog lamp can be put in i 20 Magna, But please dont except the showroom people can do for you. they wont. its better you approch some car decor guys they will do a r wiring for this fog lamp. & here the Magna with fog lamp will be available for you. it cost me around Rs 1500. only suggestion go for halogen lamp. which will realy good for winter & rainy seasons.

              My car produces intense black smoke and after 4th gear car is not able to catch the pick up FROM LAST YEAR MY CAR IS NOT REPAIRED I will be very thankful if you can please solve the proble before it becomes a big problem

                I own a i10- Maghna model. my car is 13 months old. 5 days back when we are travelling with in Indore city, suddenly my steering got jammed and its very tough to steer it and i had a very tough time to bring my vehicle to halt at the side of the road.
                When i contacted my dealer he said this problem is found in some of i10 models and he told that company will provide you a free replacement.

                This is a very serious safety issue, hence Hyundai should Recall all such defective pieces from the market.

                We have seen some more complaints notified on net.

                Even after replacement there is no garantee, this EPS system failure not occur in future.

                Just this afternoon I was about to drive out with my Hyundai 10, I discovered that the steering became very hard and the EPS ligh became constantly on.

                I bought this car 15 months ago. What could be the issue and what is the way forward. Are you replacing the car for me?

                  I have purchased a Santro Xing from DSC Hyundai lastweek and found they dont tell the car price and offer details transparently. They have told me a price and I have agreed and paid. Later they called me and told there is still Rs 2500 to be paid. Then I explained to them how it tallied. Immediatley they wanted me to buy the reote key as an accessory and it costs Rs 3500/. First day they did not want me to buy this an accessory. But I agreed to buy this as I felt it is needed. But when I enquired about the price it costed only Rs2500 and these guys cheated. Also I found that they also give this keyless entry as an offer to the customer. Since they felt they wanted Rs 2500 more they wanted me to buy this and compensate this. Also when I booked the car with Rs 10000/- they did not give me a quote or something to say howmuch remaining I have to pay. I do not know why corporates like these companies are not transparent and try to cheat the customer.

                  Hyundai Santro Xing — NOT SATISFIED EVEN AFTER USING FOR 2.5 YRS

                  I OWN A HYUNDAI SANTRO XING CAR,MH-02BD-0539.
                  I BOUGHT IT FROM JAY BHARAT AUTOMOBILES (DADAR-PRABHADEVI)ALMOST 30 MONTHS BACK.
                  IT IS NOT THAT JAY BHARAT PEOPLE ARE NOT RESPONDING TO MY COMPLAIN, BUT PREFERRED TO MAKE IT THIS WAY.
                  AT THE TIME OF BOOKING THE CAR, I WAS BEING TOLD,THE CAR WOULD GIVE MILEAGE APPROX 12KM PER LT NON A/C IN CITY.
                  BUT SINCE THE DAY I HAVE PURCHASED MY CAR, I HAVEN'T GOT THE MILEAGE, MORE THAN 8KM PER LT.
                  I HAD SENT MY CAR TO THE SERVICE CENTER OF HYUNDAI @ COTTON GREEN DURING THE SERVICE TERM,THERE THEY CHECKED IT THEIR WAY, BUT TILL I REMEMBER,THEY COULDN'T SUCCEED. WE HAVE ALSO TRIED IT IT DOING IT THE SAME WAY THEY TOLD,( FUEL UP THE TALK, DRIVE THE CAR APPROXIMATE 30KM TO 40 KM, AND AGAIN FUEL UP THE TANK, THE AMOUNT OF PETROL CONSUMED DIVIDED BY THE NUMBER OF KM COVERED),
                  BUT I AM SORRY TO SAY, IT NEVER WENT ABOVE 8KM NON A/C.
                  2ND COMPLAINT IS OF MY CAR BATTERY. I HAVE PURCHASED THIS CAR FOR MY PERSONAL USE, SOMETIMES I DRIVE EVERY ALTERNATE DAY,AND SOMETIMES I DRIVE ONCE A WEEK OR ONCE EVERY 10 DAYS.
                  MY QUESTION IS, IF I START THE VEHICLE AFTER A GAP OF 10 DAYS, IT WON'T START ( APPLICABLE IN EXTREME CONDITIONS,ONLY DURING MUMBAI WINTERS, I REPEAT MUMBAI WINTERS, WHERE THE AVG MIN TEMP HAVEN'T BEEN LESS THAN 15 DEGREE). BUT WHAT IF, MY CAR IS NOT GETTING STARTED, IF I HAD A GAP OF 10 DAYS, BUT IT IS DURING SUMMER, TO BE MORE SPECIFIC , IN THE MONTH OF MARCH OR APRIL???
                  I ASKED YOU BECAUSE, IN THE MONTH OF MARCH, MY CAR REFUSED TO GET STARTED BECAUSE I HAD A GAP OF 10 DAYS, AND I HAD TO CALL THE T.V.S SERVICE PROVIDERS AND START MY CAR, BECAUSE I AM AN ANNUAL MEMBER OF T.V.S . PRIOR KNOWN AS "FAST TRACK".

                    I have also purchased a Santro XK on Nov 14 2007 after selling my Maruti 800, all required papers were submitted to Ashiana Hyundai, Patna, Bihar at the time of taking delivery of my car, they told me that you will get Rs 10000 being the amount of exchange bonus in a Month or two directly from HMIL, after 3 months, they told me that HMIL is delaying, you will receive within six months, after about eight month, they told me that wait for some more months, when i contacted in the month of Nove 2008, they tried to avoid talking on phone, any how when i contacted them personnaly, they told me that i have not submitted papers required for exchange bonus and due to this i am not entitled for exchange bonus.
                    Later in the month of Dec 2008, i sent several registered letters to Mr Arvind Saxena, Miss Subhadra, Mr Ashok Jha, they never replied even by e mail.
                    This is my exchange bonus story and now i have decided never to purchase a Hyundai make car again .

                    The Behaviour of M/S Poddar Hyundai, Gaya through which I have bought i10 Sportz has been of a Fraud since beginning. It is a shame for me as well to inform the authorities that even though I am completely satisfied with the car, I have a strong complains against the dealer from whom I bought it. It must be brought to the notice of the reputed company that the Hyundai dealer at Gaya, Bihar, India is carrying on fraudism with the customers. When I bought i10 in 29 January, 2009, I was made to sign a form entitled "Exchange Discount Disbursement - Annexure to Booking Form", and were assured to receive an exchange bonus of Rs. 7, 500 after three months from the date of submission of the re-sale papers of my old car Maruti 800. Initially, the dealer kept saying that the exchange bonus shall soon be given to me but when later on I enquired him about the exchange bonus, he did not give a reply. Henceforth, I contacted HMIL through mail and toll-free numbers many times and to my shock, it was said that the dealer had already given me the exchange bonus on 29th January 2009 when I purchased i10. But, it must be noted that the company gives the exchange bonus only after the re-sale documents of my old car are submitted and it must be admitted that I sold my old Maruti 800 in the month of March 2009. Then, how come the dealer gave me the exchange bonus on 29th Jan 2009?? Also, till now I have not been informed how was the payment made to me, by cheque or cash, nor have I been given any receipt of exchange bonus.



                    Nextly, the dealer did not give the referral benefits to the person in whose reference I bought the car. Secondly, in my presence my friend bought an i10 but then also they refused to give me the benefit even though the customer (MR. MANOJ KUMAR SINGH) approved that he bought the car on my referral.



                    I have complained about the matter many times but no actions have been taken till now by Hyundai Motor India Limited. It seems that not only the dealer is involved but the company too is involved in this conspiracy with me & several other customers.



                    It is because of the Company's support that today. Mr. Anurag Poddar, Director, M/S PODDAR HYUNDAI, GAYA, Bihar (INDIA) is cheating and forgering customers.

                    I have attached an imporant e-mail which was forwarded to me by HMIL.

                    This is now upon Hyundai Motor Company that how will it treat its fraud Dealers like M/S PODDAR HYUNDAI, GAYA, Bihar (India).

                      This is to bring in your notice that Shurit Hundyai and their people are not giving my car RC for the last 1.5 years. I have visited their shop numours times, spoken to their sales and admin people, but there is no outcome.

                      In the month of Jan 2009; i have baught i10 from their showroom at Mayapuri. After that continously spoken to the sales, admin and all of them available at the showroom but till they have not provided the RC to me.                         I bought hyundai i10 Magna in May 2008 from MGF Hyundai. 10 months later I installed CNG from Govt. authorize fitment center and after 1 month suddenly my Car Steering starts giving problems and EPS stopped working. I took my CAR to hyundai dealer MGF Hyundai and NIMBUS hyundai (NOIDA) and they said that this is OEM problem and most of the i10 has same problem so I would get replacement of EPS but when they noticed that my car has CNG installed they told my that I will not get any replacement as my warranty is void and they told my to pay 24000 for EPS replacement. I would like to know when most of the i10 has same problem they why company is not replacing my EPS when there is no relation of CNG with power steering.

                          Me and my brother (Capt. Dheeraj Kr. Jasrotia) bought Santro Xing in Aug 2009. I have bought Santro from Charisma Hyundai Chandigarh two months back (Aug 2009). When I went to get the first service done, last week I come to know TOOL KIT is missing from the car. When I have taken the delivery they didn't showed me everything(I mean they asked me to sing lot of document but didn't paid attention to what I need) and I have been assuming that REFLECTOR POUCH is actually a tool kit.

                          My dream trashed when I went to the Service center in Delhi. I stay in delhi and cann't go Chandigar everyday. And when I spoke to Charisma Hyundai Chandigar they didn't helped me.

                          It look as you are making fool of me. You talk lot about happy customer service and extended gurantee (about 5-years extened gurantee)but when I contacted them this week 02nd Nov 2009 they showed me their true colors.

                            Serious manufacturing defects.

                            I had bought my new i10 car on 12/06/2008 . Subsequently after 5 months, major fault appeared in the Power Steering which rendered the car inoperable.
                            The fault was reported to authorized dealer at Jodhpur & took more than a week for rectifications & I faced lot of problems due to non-availability of my vehicle.
                            The fault being very serious in nature required complete replacement steering along with its motorized attachment....

                            dear sir,

                            i would like to bring to your notice that i purchased a hyundai verna from samta motors ambala but as i live in panchkula i get it serviced from ultimate hyundai chandigarh.

                            My problem is the car has been giving problems from day 1 and now i have been tired taking it to the dealership every now and then.

                            given below is the list of spares replaced in my car in warranty

                            clock
                            front shockers
                            clutch plates
                            tie rod end (have been replaced 4 times)
                            driver side locking system



                            the other complaints that were maid and are registered in the company record



                            steering wheel is rattling from the day 1 ( not replaced or repaired)

                            front suspension making noice after second service till now ( car has clocked 95000 km)

                            pickup problem after 3`rd service

                            front tyres wear out after 15000 km from day 1 . when contacted at the dealer ship . was answeres that verna consumes tyres at this rate... ( not satisfied as i have another verna whose tyres tend to go around[protected] km)

                            aircondition did not have a filter due to which i have to shell out pretty 4000 rs to get it serviced.

                            diesel filter is fitted with a sensor @ the bottem of the filter... the sensor broke . and now the dealer ship says that i have to pay rs 2200 for the new shape deisel filter and new make sensor as there was a problem in these diesel filters. now i want to know that if there was a problem why hyundai motors did not solve the problem in all cars...why is that every time the consumer has to bear the faults which are made in manufacturing units...

                              Dear Sir/Mam,
                              We (my wife and I) purchased a Hyundai i10 car from Hyundai India last year. The car is covered under a 2 year warranty period. since the last one and a half month, the Electronic Power Steering of the car is not working. It is extremely difficult and dangerous to drive the car with a dysfunctional power steering, as it poses a danger to my life. However, in the absence of any other vehicle, we are forced to use the car.

                              We filed a complaint with Samara Hyundai, IP Insutrial Area around a month and a half back, but they have refused to provide the service stating non-availability of the part as a reason.
                              We have also tried several times to seek help from Hyundai company directly, but we have received only false assurance.

                              We are really cheated, pained, and appalled by the behaviour of the company and its authorized dealer.

                              We need your help to bail us out of this problem. Either Hyundai should replace the part immediately or provide us a replacement car.

                                I purchased a santro GLS -ECO Car(Chasis No-MALAA51HR9M422477, Engine no-G4HG9M755034, KEY NO-R0219) ON 13-5-09 hardly 2 days back.I found that Gear liver is vibrating tremendously while driving the car.I immediately contacted Popular hyundai(dealer from which i purchased the car) and reported the complaint .To my surprise they responded that Hyundai santro cars are like this and most of them have this particular problem. I consulted one santro mechanic he told me that some santro car is having such problem which we seen in oldMaruti Alto and 800 cars.I purchased the car with very high expectation so kindly sort out the problem otherwise I wish to return the car back to the company because i havent experienced this problem in any of the good cars which i driven including santro.Expected your action at the earlies

                                  On September 2007 i had bought Verna CRDI. In starting 9mnth i hadn’t face any problem from car, but after this my car performance gets detoriated.The car is not performing well as before, at 1800 rpm to 2000rpm car used to give a feeling of power which is not their now. I got checked my car at service station but have not feel any change in performance of my car. I had also made necessary changes as told 2 me at time of service like changing my oil filter but their is no change in performance.

                                  The service stations personals are not able to detect the problem. I usually drive car on highways, earlier my car used to take 11sec to reach the speed of 100km/hr but now it takes nearly 30 sec. Making overtaking a very risky affair. The car is giving lot of black smoke when engine is raised. Kindly see this complaint as a serious matter.

                                  I purchased a Hyundai Verna ABS on 28/03/2007 and got the registered number"KL01 AQ 3222" for the car from the kerala state.The description of the motor car is as follows

                                  Color :- Passion Red Verna ABS
                                  Year of Manufacture :- 2007

                                  I got the delivery of the vehicle from Hilton Hyundai, Hilton Motors, P.T.P Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram- 695038, Kerala, India.I bought this car because I saw in ads(ads showed a mileage of 32km/litre) and also the dealer promised me a mileage of minimum 22km/litre.
                                  All services are done in the above service centre at P.T.P Nagar.The following problems are noted for the vehicle

                                  1) The vehicle is not giving proper mileage.The maximum mileage we get is 10 Kms/litre in city.
                                  2) The vehicle is emitting smoke during starting time and at running time.The smoke is coming out profusley which is not seen in other verna vehicles.
                                  These problems were informed to the service centre even prior to the 1st free service in P.T.P Nagar, Thiruvanantapuram-38.The service centre informed back that the problems would be over by the 1st service.But the problem still persists, its been 2 years and 7 months now.

                                  I appreciate if some one could help me out in resolving this issue.

                                    This is to bring to your notice that I have received very pathetic service in one of your service station L. A. Motors located at Godown – D, Nahur Road, Dalmiya Estate, Opp. P & T Colony, Mulund(W), Mumbai (Authorized Continental Hyundai Service Station) when my vehicle Santro Xing XL (MH03-AM 1067) was given for repairs after it had met a road accident on 16th March, 2009.

                                    Firstly, I was given a very cold reception as the service center officials were not even ready to take my vehicle in for repairs as it was not insured with HDFC whom they had tie up with. They tried to guide me some other service station. I was just afraid that the situation of my vehicle would deteriorate further if I had driven it further if I drove it in the same condition as the engine was giving turning hot even on driving small distance. After repeated requests they admitted my vehicle under the condition that I will not get any cashless claim from insurance. They said that they will order the spare parts to be replaced from the Chennai plant which will take a week’s time. They gave an estimate of Rs.80, 300 as the total cost of repairs.

                                    I repeatedly kept calling the service centre after a week’s time for the progress. Most of the time the call left unattended as the person looking after the repairs, Mr. Kunal was not available due to varied reasons. After deliberate attempts, I was informed that the spares had not yet arrived after three week’s time. Hence no work was started on my vehicle. I was asked to contact Mr. John of Continental Hyundai personally for quick delivery. After a week of repeated calls to him I got a confirmation from him that the required spares had been procured.

                                    After another couple of weeks I was given a final date of 30th April, 2009. When I went to collect my vehicle I saw that the black plastic cover over the front dashboard just over the staring wheel was repeatedly scratched which gave a very dismal look to the vehicle. I brought the same to the notice of Mr. Kunal. He was very adamant at first and claimed that it was present previously. I told him that this thing is damaged in the workshop as this was not mentioned in the receipt when the vehicle was admitted. Moreover the whole dashboard plastic cover did not have any impression of a single scratch except this specific part. The vehicle merely one and half year old and the scratch gives a very bed look. Subsequently he agreed to my point but I had to bear the whole expense of this replacement if I wanted any kind of replacement. Furthermore, I showed him multiple minor scratches on the paint surface of the bonnet cover which he readily dismissed without even hearing me out.

                                    After that when I asked him to at least show me the replaced parts he told me that he was unable to do so as these were internal parts and he will have to disassemble the car to even have a glance of them.

                                    When I went ahead to make the payment, I calculated my liabilities as per the instructions given in the insurance booklet and Mr. Kunal’s statements. I found that there was a difference of around Rs.1500 between my calculation and the amount payable. It looked to me there are certain hidden charges which was not reflected in the bill. When I asked about the difference between the total of the bill amount and the amount to paid by me which was in higher side, he told me that there may be some difference between bill amount and amount payable which may be higher side. When I insisted why he is charging more, he indecently told some salvage charges which I will have to bear. But he could not give a proper justification. I failed to understand how the salvage charges is applicable. Then he said that he had other customers and could not attend to me just for couple of thousand rupees. He left the place without any word and told me to make the payment if I wanted to take the vehicle. I told him to reflect the salvage charges in the bill but he refused. He asked me to make the payment at that instant and told us that I will have to wait for one hour during lunch break if I did not make the payment instantly. I wanted to know if there is any other officer available to clarify the matter but he did not answer. I felt practically helpless and made excess payment and took my vehicle. To my dismay I saw my vehicle even not cleaned when I took delivery of the vehicle.

                                    After a day or two I received a telephone call from Saujanya madam Tel. no[protected] of M/s Hyundai who wanted to know the quality of servicing done on my vehicle. I told the worst possible servicing done to my vehicle even the small Lord Ganesha idol supplied while I purchased from M/s Sharayu Hyundai, New Mumbai have been removed and not returned back. She requested to bring the vehicle to service station and promised that all the pending points will be attended. When I took the vehicle to service station, she directed to Mr. Prasant who did not attend anything except the stereo connection and the back side door liver but did not attend major points i.e. the badly scratched plastic cover of staring wheel and the mud guard of rear wheel. He informed Mr. Kunal is on leave and shall get it attended after discussing with him. Then I told Saujyanya madam but she expressed her helplessness. I was surprised and asked her why did she called me but she had no answer. I found that the Hyundai officials were acting under the mercy of M/s L.A. Motor.

                                    I truly regret going to L.A. Motors, an authorized service centre of Hyundai as I have experienced that the local service center gives much more efficient services at much competent rates along with appropriate courtesy towards the customer. Their services are much more to the satisfaction of the customer and above all if they damage any spare by mistake they immediately give a replacement entirely at their cost.

                                    Currently, I am evaluating my options to take legal action for resolution of my grievances.

                                      I AJITH K. MARTHANDAN had a very bad experience from popular Hyundai after giving it for service. I was contacted by them with certain offer and I accepted this offer and gave my vehicle for routine service. At the beginning itself they were very keen to service the AC and since a couple of months back I had repaired AC I told them that they need not do anything on AC and more over it was working well also. After returning my vehicle I felt the cooling as low and the next day it was not working, since I was busy I gave it back for check up only on the third day. After check up they are claiming there is something wrong with the compressor. I strongly feel I got cheated. My father DR K G. He gave his car for service and on receipt of car after service its AC was not working this gives the impression that this is a corporate repair policy of M/S POPULAR AUTOMOBILE.                                       I had purchased Hyundai I10 from the Company showroom in Parel, Mumbai. Within the third week there was a rattling noise coming from the right side glass and while giving it for service, I had requested them to attend the same. The car was delivered without attending the problem.

                                      Again during second service, I gave a same complaint to them. I found the mistake not corrected and the rattling noise continues. The service was done at the Company's workshop only. Now for the past week, the Central locking system beep is not functioning. All these within 4 months of taking delivery of the car and the mileage is 3742 kms.

                                      I do not understand why these mistakes should arise at all in a new vehicle and that too purchased from the Company's own showroom. My vehicle registration number is MH04 DW 3365.
