I am using speed-post service frequently for the places where courier service is not available.
Item loss / item missing is becoming a regular issue with speed-post.
There is option to raise complaint online, but no use.
If you call customer care, they used to tell some excuse and ask to give a written complaint in the post-office.
After all these, the max they will give is shipping charge.
eg. if you are sending something worth Rs.250/- and the shipping charge is Rs.34, then maximum you will get Rs.34/- after all these lengthy process.
I request higher officials to look into it very seriously and instead of giving the shipping charge back, try to find out the culprit and suspend them.
If you are keeping quite, the loss / missing will increase day by day. I am just one among 100's facing the same issue daily.

Dear Authorities,

I would like to lodge a complaint against a postman of the Post Office J.J.Nagar (PIN Code: 500087), who is not delivering mails to our home.

My father has expired early this year, and since then, we haven't received any mails. While speaking to this person regarding why our mails are not getting delivered, his argument was that they are not supposed to deliver mails once a person has died. While we spoke to the Postmaster, he has told that he is going to take action against

I am currently living away from my home, and my siblings are not mature enough to handle this. Additionally, my mother is a widow right now, and she is not capable of lodging a complaint of her own.

While finding a way to how to lodge complaint, I have found your website.

The name of this person (Postman) is Mr. Shiv Kumar, and my current address is in Balajinagar.

Please help me resolving this issue.

I have booked my consignment for speed post under POD no. ED[protected]IN for Pune on 24th July, and till 31st July, it was not delivered. On 1st August, I have checked status online, as I was doing the same on regular basis, it was delivered in Pune.

Speed Post's simple meaning is to deliver our consignment on time (Max 72 Hours) with safety, but it took here almost 7 days.

How can we trust on a govt. organization, who still works like this. My document was very urgent to reach to Pune, in order to have Pan card.

But now it has been delivered on 1st august, and I have to pay TDS on my salary 20% instead of 10%.

Who is the responsible for the this?

i have posted a speed post on 24 july 2012 to mumbai but it has not delivered till 31 july 2012 kindly help me to find out my speed post and claim on indian post office department.

when i applied passport for my baby, after the passport verification the officer has sent a passport through the speed post. my self and my husband both are working in a private institutions. we are not able to put a leave or permission to get the passport from the post office. i went the peelamedu post office (working time) to collect the passport. but the post man is went off. the other post man said come by tomorrow, but i request if there is any possible to get my passport. he got angry about me and started to shout, i back to home, the next day morning my self and my husband went to the post office to collect the passport the old postman has complain to his post master about the my area postman and the postmaster started to shout me. it is highly reticules. in the mean while my area post man get amount Rs 100 for delivering the passport.i think the delivery of the post is responsible for the postman.pls take a action against them

I MRS. MUKHERJEE VISITED SANTACRUZ POST OFFICE AFTER RECEIVING A CALL FROM THEM TO COLLECT THE CHEQUE OF M.I.S . AS I AM A WORKING WOMAN I TOLD THEM THAT I WILL COLLECT THE CHEQUE ON SATURDAY . AS I WENT ON SATURDAY (14.07.2012 ) TO COLLECT THE CHEQUE THE PERSON SITTING ON THE CHAIR OF THAT COUNTER BEHAVED VERY RUDELY AND WAS SPENDING TIME UNNECESSARILY BY GOING TOILET AND DRINKING WATER . AS I WAS UNAWARE TO FILL THE FORM I ASKED THAT PERSON TO HELP ME . HE THEN STARTED IGNORING ME AND PAID ATTENTION TO SOME OTHER PERSON WHO WAS APPARENTLY AN AGENT. AFTER SPENDING HALF AN HOUR LIKE THIS I GOT ANNOYED AND TOLD THAT MAN TO DO MY WORK FAST . IN RETURN HE SAID TO ME" YE TU CHUP CHAP HADI RAH AUR MUJHEY KAAM KARNE DE" AND THIS WAS THE EXACT LANGUAGE HE USED . I WAS THEN SO ANNOYED AND FURIOUS I ASKED FOR THE COMPLAINT BOOK . AS A RESULT THE POST MASTER CAME AND BEGGED NOT TO DO SO AND GAVE ME MY CHEQUE.
THIS IS TO REQUEST TO YOUR GOODSELF THAT I FELT VERY INSULTED AND WANT SEVERE PUNISHMENT OF THAT PARTICULAR PERSON.

I've posted my original Sr. Secondary mark sheet to N.I.O.S. head office, Noida on 3rd September, 2011. But they haven't received the post yet. And when i try to inquire about my lost mark sheet they simply say that they don't take guarantee of the lost documents. Due to the lost mark sheet, N.I.O.S. isn't giving my passed out certificate and due to which I'm not been able to take admission in IIHM Kolkata.

I would request you to please have a glance on this issue and take a serious and quick action regarding this.

I have deposited a sum of Rs.3 lakhs in MIS account at Sivakasi head P.O(Pin code No.626123) on 11.1.2011 vide account no.24461. Now I have changed my residence to Madurai. On[protected], I have requested the post master, Sivakasi-626123 to transfer my above MIS account as well SB a/C no.1071830 to TVS nagar, Madurai/Palanganatham, Madurai-625003 post office. Yesterday I had been to the above post offices and asked about transfer of my accounts. To my great surprise and disappointment, I was informed by the post office staff that about one and half month time would take for transfer of accounts and asked me to come after one and half month. I could not understand the reason for undue delay in transferring a/C from one place to another place, just 70 kilo meter distance. I want to withdraw money from my above account for my family/Medical expenses. Pl do the needful for immediate transfer of my account to Madurai. Thank you

Saket Post Office in J Block market is like a fish market.

Staff is highly uncooperative and rude.

Only one counter functions most of days.

There is huge line at that counter.

MIS passbooks are filled in 3 hours

Senior citizens have to stand for long hours to get pension !!!!

I've seen old women touching the babus feet for getting their own money.

Its like being in hell. Govt must do something immediately

This is to inform you that, our postman named Yogesh Bhardwaj ([protected]) asks for money to deliver the mails to us. If someone refuses to give the money, he doesn't deliver the mails thereafter. After I refused to give money, he has detained some of my mails like 2 Adhaar Cards(Article No:[protected]IN) and some Entrance Exam marks sheet which are necessary to produce while taking admission into college. He asks Rs 10 for normal documents like Adhar Card or other mails, Rs 50 for PAN Cards or if I get check from LIC offices as bonus, and Rs 100 for passport and all very important documents. So we are very frustrated at this postman and want this postman to be punished.

I booked speed post no. ED[protected]IN dated 09 June'2012. But its has neither been received by the addressee nor returned back to the sender(me). Your tracking portal reflecting the speed post currently at Nangal Raya SO. I have also tried to reach several officers of GPO, New Delhi but none of them were able to resolve my query and blaming each other.

It is now more than 18 days for which I am suffering. This negligence is not at all accepted by India Post who claims to satisfy 1.4 crores customers per month. The speed post contains some of my financial documents from which I am bearing loss. Moreover, Indian Post will be liable for all my compensations.
