LIC Foreclosed Policy[protected] Refund amount delay

I foreclosed the policy numbered[protected] in the month of FEB 2012.

After the request LIC has sent the cheque to the old address where currently i am not residing.

So i made a fresh request with my current office address as my delivery point, for the cheque.

LIC has taken this request in a warm way and resent the cheque to the mentioned address through SPEED Post.

The speed post delivery person instead of delivering to my company he delivered to a different company in the same block.

This created all the mess, after few weeks wait i went to the post office and asked about my cheque.

The person was saying it was delivered to the other company go and collect. I went there and searched for the cheque, it was not there.

I informed the same to LIC and i asked for an option to transfer the amount through NEFT.

LIC accepted it and took all the necessary documents from side for NEFT transfer. At the last point when my cheque was about to stale.

They were asking me an indeminity bond, to resend the cheque before the stale date saying NEFT option is not implemented at thier branch.

If i missed the cheque then asking a indeminity bond from me is reasonable.

Atlast my cheque is stale on last 17th May 2012 and they are saying they will resend the cheque, no transfer through NEFT.


So in summary i have three points to consider and correct.

1. SPEED POST irresponsible delivery nature.
2. LIC promises and procedure for NEFT.
3. As a customer still now i do not know at what time i get my money back.

This all happened with the GOBI branch and Coimbatore Customer Section people.

Hard Experience
After long chase by my Agent, with the help of his GOBI branch office friend.

GOBI branch has issued the cheque on last Saturday [2012/05/26] and I got my amount[2012/05/29] today in my Bank account.

Heartful thanks to the people who helped me to get my amount back.

But still the process need to be reframed

    Dear Sir,

    I had an insurance Policy with LIC of India Ltd. viz, Money Back Policy with Profits” vide policy No.[protected]. The duration of the policy plan 20 Years and Sum Assured was 25,000/-. I took the policy during 1994 onwards. Due to personal reasons, I had surrendered Policy to the Branch (Tambaram, Shanmugam Road) on 7/04/2012. I have received the amount of Rs.23,722 /- vide Cheque No. 784566/23.4.12. In this connection, I have remitted the entire premium amount till closure of the policy i.e 18 years.

    I had shocked to receiving the amount which is lesser than sum assured amount though I had remitted to LIC the premium amount of Rs.29,520 (per annum premium was 1640 * 18 years = 29,520). But I have received the pre-matured amount wasRs.23,722 /- only.


    In this regard, I have asked the Branch Manager to send the claim break up details to me through mail. The branch E-mail id has been mentioned in LIC Website viz., [protected]@licindia.com; The Branch Manager Name is Mr.Guruswamy, Chief Manager. There is no response either from the Branch Manager or concerned Claim Officer (Branch. I have also tried to contact over phone, but no one took the phone. Due to the above, I had several stress on the said reasons as the LIC which is undertaking of Government of India who is serving the investor for the sake of the growth. Without payment break up details, they are sending the payment to the Policy Holder who is the investor of the LIC. Kindly note the same.

    In the event of the above, I would like to have claim break up details with the amount of Rs.50,000/- as a Penalty to LIC of India Ltd. for behaving their customers as it will not happen to any customers.

    I humbly request you to kindly take forward in this regard.

                Respected Sir/Madam,

                This is to bring to your notice that we have applied for a NRI housing loan transfer in LIC Housing Finance LTD, Sec 31, Gurgaon in Nov,2011.
                We submitted all the demanded documents.We were charged a processing fee as per LIC rules as well. After submission and depositing the fee, LIC authorised person did all necessary verification and other formalities. Now, after all such formalities I was not apprised of my application status and was kept in complete dark. After struggling for couple of months, I could manage to get a mail from their end saying that LIC cannot process my application further because of sudden policy change. I was never informed/apprised of such policy change interim all this process. Though, I tried to communicate them since the commencement of the process to till date but all my efforts turned futile. For your reference, I have attached a jpg file which contains screenshot of mail exchange between us. Now, when I am asking them to get my money back which I spent as processing fee, the company does not heed my calls and ignore me every time I call them. As per them, the company has stopped funding loan transfer to NRI customers. Now, I am not able to understand how can I be charged a processing fee for a loan which can not be processed.

                I am quite frustrated dealing with the company and have already spent significant amount of time, effort and lost peace of mind. I sincerely seek your help in this regard to get me justice. Many thanks in advance.

                    This is to bring to your kind notice that my mother Late Mrs. Satinder Kanwar, who passed away due to heart attack on 15-May-2011, had taken few LIC policies, As a nominee and daughter of the deceased, I duly applied for death claim . as per procedure. But I am extremely disappointed to state that even after following the due procedure and fulfilling all the conditions, I have been made to struggle very hard to get the death claim. I intimate LIC for the sudden demise of my mother in july 2011 but the claim is still pending. It has been quite a painful and annoying experience, to say the least, of dealing with your esteemed Company.

                    I am unable to understand why so much delay is taking place when all the proper procedure has been followed. Your company which claims to be India’s best company and fastest in processing the claims.
                    Though I have provided all the documents from time to time, as asked for, and for which, I had to take leave from office and some time I had to bow before others to get those paper, still no light appears to be there at the end of the tunnel. Now, I am totally exhausted in keep listening the words that it is in process from the Company like you.

                    I have already waited for so long that ,now suggestions keep pouring for going to consumer court and to media for redressal of grievance. Why should I keep begging for my own money. I never expected this kind of harassment from LIC and would think twice to take another policy from your esteemed company.

                    You are kindly requested to intervene in the matter at the earliest. I shall be highly grateful if you could get the matter expedited to avoid any further harassment. Kindly strict to your words for providing better services to the policy holder.

                        Dispute-I haven’t received The Survival benefit Claim payment for the year 2000 and 2005.

                        I have been applying for the same since 2010 (all the letters till date is preserved with me) and now after two years still I am empty handed which has forced me to realize that LIC’s Such scheme are just to make fool of the Consumers and running a fraudulent business. The Survival Claim benefit is just for the name sake and when contacted for the first time in LIC they just tried to keep on shuffling the issue in both the branches. When contacted them they provided me with two cheque Nos but Sir if these cheques have been deposited then why can they provide me with details of it. And why these cheques don’t appear in my Account Passbook.?????
                        The details of the cheque given by them are

                        Cheque 582483 dated 28/5/2005
                        Cheque 967184 dated 28/5/2000

                        Last letter from their side said that they shall furnish me the details in May 2011 But then its May 2012 and still no details have been furnished.Now sir eiher i want the proof stating that the chqeues have been deposited in my account only. or else fresh cheques with interest.

                          Accordingly, I had submitted all the original Policy documents through Registerd post on 04/04/2012 to LIC of India, Boisar Branch (Branch Code: 92J) on following address :

                          Till date I didn't got any receipt or information about my maturity claim payment credit in the given account from LIC. Even I tried several times to followup on the no.[protected], but still didn't got any response from there and nobody is giving proper answers regarding that. After some time, they use to keep phone on hold and then no answer from the other side. No body is ready to talk and failed to get proper assistance and response to resolve the issue.

                              My mother were having 3 polcies no.[protected] +[protected] +[protected] from LIC ,
                              AS in Legal heir i have submitted all the Death Claim Papers documents in LIC 112 Branch on 17/02/2012 and today is 09/05/2012 ,
                              But till now no action has taken for that , Inspite of so many visits in branch 112 nobody has taken any action , Saff is just saying we dont have staff so thats's why we havn't process your claim till now,


                              Please tell me IS IT MY FAULT THAT LIC is having short fall in staff member,

                              For this time My Mother has taken policies from your company but inspite of getting benefits out of it i am facing many difficulties in my life.

                              Please let me know what is the latest report on this

                                    I have received one call from Insurance customer complaint. They asked some question such as whether you was giving any benefit of commission on yearly and whether you are getting bonus by company, where your insurance cum investment policy mentioned with ID no of borrower. They said that if your insurance policy is mentioned with ID no of borrower, then the yearly commission and bonus is automatically gone into borrower account. If we want to convert exciting policy into Borrower ID to self ID no then we have to invest single premium of Rs. 30000 in DLF self policy and after 45 days Rs. 32300 is provided back to us and we will get unique ID no . The previous policy ID are converted from Borrower ID to self ID.After getting this ID no, all the new policy are covered under this ID.
                                    Kindly confirm whether the above facts is true or not.

LICHFL/JAMSHEDPUR/Auction Dt.29/03/2011 Regarding bidder of auction vide auction notice dt. 29.03.2011 Sales Notice under SARFAESI Act 2002 was published on 26.02.2011 for submission of bid for auction of M.L.No. 32018440 of Sanjay Ghoshal , Flat No. 3/1, 1st floor, Gopala Block, Shri Krishna Udhyan , Jawahar Nagar, Mango, Jamshedpur.

                                      We have paid to LICHFL Jamshedpur Area office of Rs.11,00,511/-(Rupees Eleven Lakhs Five hundred and Eleven only ) Rs.110000/- SBI cheque No.275648 dt.29.03.2011 plus Rs.990511/- SBI cheque No.693239 dt.31.03.2011 against above mention auction as highest bidder .
                                      Now this has been more than 1 year 2 months till date, during this period I have followed up many times through mail and verbal communications to you, Regional office and Head Office, but I haven’t got any satisfactory action or any commitment from your end. I feel sorry to say that I am feeling cheated. Please do understand my problem and situation. More over I am a heart patient.

                                        I had called this LIC Branch in Paramakudi regarding one of my Father's policies as he has passed away recently. The response from them is highly irresponsible and frustrating. The people who attended the call did not even listen to my query and asked me to come to the branch directly. I live in Bangalore and simply cannot visit the branch just like that. I wanted to know the procedure and the documents required for the claim purposes and the customer care responded well and asked me to contact the branch. The branch officials who attended the calls were so arrogant that they do not even listen to the queries. If this is the way they treat the family of a 20 year old customer, then imagine the plight of a new customer.

                                        I have become so frustrated with this branch and recommend people not to deal with this stupid organization for any of their insurance related issues. Stay away from LIC.
