Reference: Consumer #[protected] with Meter # [protected]/2-11374

This is the second complaint within a months time. This is actually a follow up on the first one done already on the 13th July 2009. The complaint is to replace my energy consumption meter at B-12, Sai Vihar Residency, Sus Road, Pashan, Pune -21 (SN 4/2A/1/3 SN 4/2A/1/Pashan) since it is not working properly (viz: The display seems to have failed).

Also the meter number on my current bill for June 2009 has changed and does not match with that on the actual meter.

The bills for all the months till date have been duly paid without delays, the latest being for May 2009 paid in full for the billed amount, on the 16th June 2009. The bill for the month of June 2009 received on 9th July 2009 shows a credit of 2380 Rs. and does not seem to be correct.

I have constantly been following every week regarding the said request and have also personally visited twice to the MSEB Ganeshkhind office as a follow-up on the request. Mr Lahmge & Ms. Trivedi have called Mr. Patil (the agency owner who is responsible to change meters in Pashan). However the faulty meter still hasn’t been replaced. I have been in constant touch with Mr Lahamge (the in-charge of the Chaturshringi office) & calling him every week. I have also informed Mr. Kulkarni (in-charge of Sus Road branch) and Mr. Khaire (his deputy at Sus Road branch). Whenever I check with any of the authorities mentioned above, I am promised that it would be done the same day. However its been falling on deaf ears.

Now that an appeal has been released in the news papers by Mr.S.P. Nagtailak (Chief Engineer) from Pune Region Electricity Board, I request you to include the replacement of the said meter under this scheme and issue me correct bills for my actual consumption for coming months.

on the date of 30/1/11 sunday at w/14, suddenlly power went off.in the morning around 8am,
when enquired on the road site the mseb staff was doing job, say around 10.
the power was given to neighbouring w/13 and w/15,
we waited for more time tocome the power assuming that it will come,
but till 4.30 pm no power given.
when called to the 2472330 the attendent said go to road check that our persons may be around and kept the phone without hearing the customers saying.when again called, no one was lifting the receiver, at last some one has lifted and said here is nobody to assist u r complain.finally we sourced the mobile no given above and called the officer. he said i am sending persons to attend,
thanks to the officer for sending and giving power,
sir,
the problem narreted by attendent was some one has taken out all three fuses
they also said we do not know who has done this mistake,
we understood that when the persons came in the morning might have removed the fuses for safety ground,
but is it not their responsibilty to reput the fuses?
due their mere negligence we have lost our valuable work,
this can only happen because of no proper supervision on the onduty persons
we request to reply with proper reasoning.

    I am a resident of Magarpatta City since February 2006. Every month I had been receiving electricity bills showing 0 units. After numerous complaints to the MSEDCL office within Magarpatta to check the meter, they finally send a person and replaced the meter in February 2007. Since then I have been receiving bills in the range of 200 to 500 showing the meter status as "NORMAL". I had no problems for 2 years. Suddenly in May 2009 I received a bill of Rs 1, 21, 590/- for 15494 units. I immediately complained to the MSEDCL office head Mr Butte. After two weeks, they replaced the meter. They said they will send the old meter for testing and wait for the report. I asked them, what about the bill ? They said if the meter testing reports says "Ok", then I would have to pay the entire bill along with the new meter charges. After two months, they said that the meter is tested Ok and I will have to pay the bill. I need guidance on what I should do next.

    last 2 mount i have not received bill . suddenly mseb guyes are come & thay cut my connection with out inform any one they don't ask in my house .i came 2 from office i saw that no light in my house .i was shock .i went 2 office but its closed . i was suffering this problame every time( not receiving bill ) . it's hurt my sentiments & my ego.if this thing are goning again & again .i sue u in court. at list supply regular bill in every house .

    my Consumer Number is:[protected] and billing unit is : 4677. I have a flat in Dhayari in pune the consumer number mentioned is for the same flat. Iam not occupying the same flat since is possession. Up to the month of Jan 2009 iam receving Electricity bill as normal of Rs 30/- pm but Feb2009 onwards MSEB is charging toomuch bill to me. They have disconnected my Meter without giving me perior notoce. At he moment they were charging me Rs 3, 570.00. This amount is too much for me even though iam not utilising electricity. Iam trying to MSEB Numbers mentioned in Bill[protected] but the same was not attended because mightbe changed. Pl try to guide me for the above matter.

      Dear Sir,
      I launched complaint against Meter failure to MSEDCL office in Kalwa on dtd. 10/11/2008. It is very surprising that I am following up with them for Meter but after so long period I am not able to get result for the same.
      I already submitted written complaint for the same & I have the acknoledged copy of same with me, but no one from MSEDCL visited at my place & not checked the Meter till date.

        Dear Sirs,
        I have been trying to get our electric meters of our society members changed, but have am unable to get it done. The MSED office is asking us to fill up an application in which they are charging us RS. 600 as deposit. Since ous is is an existing connection and there is a deposit depending on our usage. If we pay the RS 600 a new account number is allotted to us and nothing is known as to what happens to our deposit. In due course they will ask us to pay new deposit depending on our usage. In my case I have already have Rs 2520 as deposit with them. I have subbmitted the undermentioned letter to the MSED office at Vasai on 11/6/09 but have not received any reply till now.
        Oue complex consist of 34 buildings (Approx. 1500 flats) most o[censored]s would like to have the maters transfered to our names but have not done so because they make it difficult. Some have got their meters trnsfered to their names by paying cash under the table, whilst mos o[censored]s are against this practice.
        Your assitance in helping us get this done will be appricated.

        Dear Sir,

        Sub:- Change of Name :- Deposit

        The electric Meters in our society are in the name of the builders/ promoters even though our society has been formed & registered eight years ago.

        Most of our members would like to have the electric meters transferred to their names. However your local office states that the deposits paid against these meters cannot be transferred and new deposits will have to be made. What happens to the Rs 2520 that I have deposited against account #[protected]. This was brought to your notice, when I first met you a couple of months back (our first meeting).

        I understand that in cases where the society has not been formed application Form –Z is to be executed on a Rs. 50/- stamp paper and notarized. However since our society has been formed this is not necessary, a NOC from the society stating the person who is applying for the change of name in the electric connection is the current owner of the said premises will be sufficentwill be sufficent.

        Whilst on this subject I would also like to inform you that some new members who have purchased flats recently have changed the electric meter connection to their names without obtaining any letter from the society. The electric bill being an important document as proof of residence for obtaining passport and other government facilities, your department should insist on a letter from the society (There are instances where there are numerous sale deed agreements executed, and it takes considerable time for the flat to be transferred to the final owner). So far in our society there are four cases of change of names (2 old members and 2 new members) without NOC being issued (I understand this can be done by paying some money to the MSED employee).

        In the light of the aforesaid, I request you to please insist on a NOC for any member from Building C-8, Citizen Complex requesting for any change in name of the meter connection.

        An early reply will be appreciated as I have forms of 14 members of our society who would like to have the connections transferred to their names.

        application electric merter cunnection
        sir,

        I have two flats in my name at Virar, in the undermentioned society, since more than 10 years. The electricity meters are in the name of the builder and one in the name of the former owner of flat. When i applied to the MSED office at Virar, I am told to fill up forms as if i am taking new meter and pay Rs.500 or Rs.600/-.

        The electricity bill now a days is an important document we are required to attach with many applications with govt. offices.

        when i am owner of the flat, and the meters are already taken on payment of deposits by the previous owners, why not MSED can change the names simply on resenting sufficient evident with regard to the ownership of a flat in the society. Is not society NOC enough for the change of name in the electricity meter.

          hello sir,

          i want to make a complaint against an employee who is working in contract basis in mseb office. i know that your office has given the distribution of bills to contractors according to the division of areas. this girl is working in mohan nagar area aside shiv mandir. she talked very harshfully, in insulting way and she argue with me when i ask her for reciept of my electricity bill as i am paying through cheque and the reason for that which she told me was we dont have an electricity suppy in our office.but there were no load shading at that time in mohan nagar. i ddnt know her name altough i ask her but again she started shouting at me and ask me what u do after u come to know my name. that situation was very embarrasing and insulting as there were crowd of peoples who were also listining all this.
          please let me know i[censored] can do something or i can make complaint through another way.
          we believe that whater have done is for betterment and convinience for local peoples but if these employees humiliate us in this way then what should we do???

            This is regarding the excessive bill that I have been getting from last one year. With very less usage of electricity, a first last year, the bill amounted to Rs50, 000 to Rs 5, 000 . Now also it has amounted to Rs1750 for no much usage. I am a lower middle class person not using anything besides fan and 2 tubelights, I live in a chawl and cant effort to sheel out so muh money everytime. Complaints done to MSEB regularly are overlooked with no action taken by them . Therefore i please request you to look into the matter.

              I have already paid my electricity bill for the month July 2009, on 25th July 09. However when i check my bill online it still shows the amount of bill on the MAHADISCOM site for online bill payment.

                I am not regularly receiving bills for my two connections i.e[protected] and[protected].As I generally stay away from Talegaon Dabhade for longer durations therefore I always pay in excess to my bill amounts to make sure that the subsequent bills are taken care and I do not default.

                When I discussed this matter with AE at Talegaon Dabhade he said this is because I have credits in my both accounts.The AE's explanation is totally illogical and unfair.As a customer I am entitled to my bi-monthly bills.It is immaterial as to what I do with the bills.

                It is my understanding that instead of taking charge of the person who has been contracted to deliver bills to customers the MSEB is trying to penalise and inconvenience me.

                I wish to inform MSEB senior management that it can shirk its responsibility towards its customers by merely displaying customer grievance redressal mechanism details in their offices because if a customer were to follow the procedure/process for grievance redressal it will be at the cost of his time, effort and money (forget the inconvenience part).

                I hope MSEB senior management will look into this issue because it concerns many others like me.

                I wish to inform MSEB senior management that it cannot shirk its responsibility towards its customers by merely displaying customer grievance redressal mechanism details in their offices because if a customer were to follow the procedure/process for grievance redressal it will be at the cost of his time, effort and money (forget the inconvenience part).

                I hope MSEB senior management will look into this issue because it concerns many others like me.

                  With reference to above subject I want to show you that as per my Bill dated January 2009 meter reading showing 163 which is accurate as per my knowledge but in February 2009 the reading showing in meter 630 which is not from my meter as the photo in my bill for February 2009 is different/another persons meter which is essay to recognize and in bill for March 2009 the reading showing 351 is accurate and is from my meter only, so please correct the bill for February 2009 accordingly and remove R.N.A. remark from my bill as early as possible so I can pay my dues. And expecting prompt service in future.

                  Xerox copy of above three referred meters are attached herewith for your kind reference.

                    Dear Sir,
                    The electric meter installed at Flat D-607, National Palace, Takka, Panvel was giving wrong readings since Feb'09. Earlier the monthly consumption was about 100 units ( Rs. 300/- p.m.), but since Feb'09, the meter started running very fast and in one month the consumption was shown more than Rs.3000/-, more than 10 times than earlier. This was not acceptible because we were not using any extra equipments. We don't have even washing machine. So, the problem was with the MSEB meter.
                    Frequent complaints by my wife led MSEB to install an additional meter on April 20' 09. It was told to us that MSEB will observe the reading of new meter vis-a-vis old meter and revise the previous unpaid bills according to the estimated actual consumption.
                    But, since April 20' 09 no body came to record the meter reading. As a result, MSEB continues to send monthly bills based on the previous unrealistic arrears.
                    Now, the old defective meter has been removed by MSEB and the other meter is installed permanently.
                    The present meter reading of new meter was 249 as on 09/07/09. Its initial reading at the time of installation on April 20 was 3, thus the net consumption was 246 units in more than 2-1/2 months.
                    Hence, all the previous bills should be revised according to the average consumption.We are waiting since February '09 for the bills to be corrected and make the payments.
                    For June' 09 also, no meter reading was taken by MSEB and the bill shows total units consumed as Zero.
                    We are not able to pay the bills since Feb' 09 due to this deficiency.Thus, delay in payment is due to MSEB only and not due to our fault.
                    We have submitted several complaints in MSEB, Panvel, but no action has been taken by MSEB so far. I tried to send the complaint to SDO, billing 0311 by email, but no success. The email returned undelivered.
                    Kindly address my complaint at the earliest.

                      To relevent Officers,

                      My father had booked a flat in Brijwadi Aurangabad (M.S.) way back in 2002. But since he was a govt employee (retired now), we didn't occupy the flat. There was nobody living in that premises until last month June 2009. We planned to shift the base to Aurangabad. To our surprise, we found that MSEB has istalled meter on February 2005 without any notification or CONSENT from us. and since there was no one using that premises, they have sent bills on average consumptions. When I checked the history online there was just one bill showing 102 units were used for the period Feb 2005 to June 2005 and the status is showing as "Faulty". We dont know how the reading was taken as most of the times the Official takes incorrect reading. There is just one bill for this period and then next bill showing is on May 2008 where the status is shown as "Permanantly Disconnected" and the bill amount is around Rs.4500/-.

                      When Asked the officials at Aurangabad offcice, we were advised to clear the due and then take a new connection for another Rs 1000. My question is how MSEB officials install the meter without our consent. We have not filled/signed any application form. The builder is also unable to show the copy of the Application form for MSEB meter.

                      Could you please let me know how to go about this request???

                        Hi,

                        I am resident of secor - 9, Airoli, Navi Mumabi. We get electricty from MSEB. but service has been very poor.I have following complaints aginst service.
                        1) Electricity is removed at any time apart from regular load shedding hours.
                        2) There is continuous problem with3 phase supply and we do not get power supply when one of the phase is down.
                        3) officials from MSEB do not take calls if we want to report power supply problems.
                        4) It seems basic problem is in the poor infrastructure of the power supply. MSEB officials do not address that cause.They provide with shoort term solution which increases the problem.

                        Please convey MSEB officials to provide continous power supply.

                        I fully agree with above complaint, MSEB is pathetic
                        I am resident of Sector 20 Airoli, The power suplly is not availble most of the time..if its availble, some phase is not working.
                        No one attends calls for complaints or grievences..
                        i am not sure when these issues will end.

SANKHE LAST MONTH AND TELL HIM THE FACTS ABOUT HIGH ELECTRIC BILL HE DIRECTLY TOLD ME THAT HE CAN NOT REGISTERED MY COMPLAINT AND TOLD ME TO PAY THE SAME IMMEDIATELY AND AFTER THE PAYMENT WE WILL CHECK THE METER ETC., SIR I PAID THE SAME AT THAT TIME NOW SIR YESTERDAY I HAD RECEIVED JUNE-08 MONTH BILL I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED (JUNE- 1009 UNITS RS.- 6, 320/-) TO SEE THAT THE BILL IS 5 TIMES MORE FROM MY AVERAGE MONTHLY BILL, TODAY I CONTACT TO MR. SANKHE (J.E.)AND MHAMRE (PRO) AGAIN AND TOLD ALL THE FACTS AGAIN BUT THEY ARE NOT CO-OPERATING ME AGAIN AND TOLD ME TO CHANGE THE ELECTRIC METER WITH MY OWN COST AND TAKEN RS-100/- (WITH RECEIPT) AND RS.-900/-(WITHOUT RECEIPT-AS METER CHARGES ?) THROUGH MR. VIJAY CLARK MSEDCL, NALASOPARA.
                          SIR I AM TOTALLY UP-SET ABOUT ALL THIS THINGS GOING ON THE MSEDCL OFFICERS THEY ARE NOT CO-OPERATING THE CONSUMERS AND WANT BRIBE ALSO.

I was staying at, Building C, Block B-102, Sankalp nagar society Kalwa, My last reading is 22283Units. from 15 0f October 2009 I am not staying on above address. So I will not use the electricity till I will come back to stay there. I request you to kindly take a note of it and request you not to send avarage bill as meter is not showing any change in the reading. When I will come back I will inform you immediately.

                            No BILLS received - Consumer number does not know.

                            Hi,

                            I just started residing in A3/302, Parkwayz, SNO. 241/1, Wakad-Thergaon Rd, Pune-411 057 since 1.5 months.

                            I have not received Electricity Bill. My owner says that there has not been any bill generated till now.

                            I don't know my consumer number so that I pay the bill online.

                            Please help me.

                              Dear someone who help us in this matter,

                              Subject : NO POWER SUPPLY AT NIGHT IN TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CITY NAVI MUMBAI-AIROLI


                              It is only to say TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CITY, But we people here suffering genuine problem daily with power supply at our home from last 03/04 months. Daily one of the line getting problemed & the all residentials of AIROLI - SECTOR 8 throw out in dark. This summer we were not able to sleep because of no power supply in night time. The specific time of this problem started between 8.00pm to 2.00am & 6.00am to 9.00am daily without any notice or power saving order by departments.

                              The persons on duty are not well aware of customer relation. The phone lines for customer complaint were kept busy purposely. it was also found that this wiremen put telephone receiver at side to sleep them comfortable without disturb.

                              Anybody help us to solve this problem, please do the needful as early as possible.
                              Lots of well wishes & blessing are waiting for you.

                                This is with reference to above subject matter, I would like to inform you that My Father Shri Tirthram Ramnaresh Yadav ( Devershi Apts, Gavondevi road, Kalwa –Thane -400605 ) Aged 66 yr Had taken an electricity connection from M.S.E.D.C.L. Consumer no.[protected] & meter no. [protected] in the moth of November 2009.

                                I have paid my last bill for last month of Rs. 970.00 dated:-23/01/2010, receipt no. 0226748.

                                Now on 01.02.2010 your person has disconnected my father’s connection without any correspondence, & instead of our repeated telephonic call no one is answering us.

                                I would request you to kindly look in to the matter & reconnect my fathers Electricity Connection as he is 66yr old and my mother is 60yr old they live in address given above is very difficult to stay, sleep in this tiny room without Electricity.

                                  My consumer No. is[protected] and Digital meter No. is [protected]. Invariably, I have been paying heavy electricity bill for the last so many months. We are only 2 in our family and we very consciously consume electricity. The earlier complaints made to the MSEDCL is of no use and still I continue to pay higher amount of the electricity bills.

                                  As per my estimate, our average consumption per month should not be more than 250 to 300 units, but the actual consumption shown in the Electricity Bills received from MSEDCL is atleast 1.5 times more.

                                  Kindly advise.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    Don't know whether the person who is reading this email will take some action against it or not but still want to draft an email to you.

                                    "INSANIYAT SE BADKAR KUCH NAHI"

                                    Am a resident of Mumbra (Thane district) where in my area we always face a problem of "Transformer Fail" in every two months.

                                    We have an office of MSEB in our area where we launch such complaints on telephone number[protected] but would like bring to your notice nobody listen to our complaints due to which we face a problem of NO ELECTRICITY for more than 3 to 4 days due to "TRANSFORMER FAIL".

                                    Whenever we call to the office either no one picksup a call for 30 mins or when somebody picks up the call they always inform us that engineers are not in the office and will come in next 30 to 45 mins. This they say when we call at 1:00 pm also. This means there is no duty timing for engineers in MSEB Mumbra office.

                                    Due to their irregularity on duty we face lot many such issues related to "NO ELECTRICITY" for 3 to 4 days which is ridiculous.

                                    Would like to know if any one in MSEB a descent officer is available or not who listen to all such complaints and can take some action on service provided to us by MSEB Mumbra employees.

                                    We understand that it's a technical error but at least there should be an engineers available in the office who can take care of such issues and can sort out with immediate effect.

                                    But the problem in MSEB Mumbra office is that no such employees we have who understand the criticality and can sort out the issue. They not even present in the office as well then to whom we can ask for help.

                                    I don't understand for what purpose our government pay salary to such employees? To work hard or to hardly being on work?

                                    I hope they take salary on time but they never want to be in the office on time or regular. They take salary on time for their parents and children but what about those parents and children who face lot many issues due to no electricity for regular 3 to 4 days. They are not human beings or what?

Kya hame us jaga par conection milne me koi problem to naheen jayengi.ex. naam ki jo reshma ka pati hai.
