This is to inform you that, my bill varies from Rs300 to Rs 1500/month, even though utilisation is almost the same.we have been launching complain from last two month for placement of either parallel meter or change of existing meter, but no action is taken yet by the authority.
so, please take the necessary action, to provide relief.

My consumer no is[protected]. I paid the bill for September 2010, on 11 october 2010. via axis bank credit card . Due to the network problems the card swap happned twice. One at 10.17AM and the second on 1.28 PM amount of 660. As it was a double payment, the second transaction was cancelled ( By MSEB ) . But till now the amount of cancelled transaction has not been credited to my account. Please do the needful.

    I paid the bill online and speed of website is ok. but the bill amount after transaction shown greater than actual bill amount. My bill was Rs. 900 and to pay this i proceed, but in the final trasaction report it was mentioned as Rs. 922.50!!! Transaction reference number is MCIT[protected]. Is any one please tell me why the bill amount get increased?? Instead of encouraging us for online payment, these people are disappointing us :(

    Probably you have used the credit card for your transaction. Because in that case it add 2.5% of bill amount to that actual payable amount.

    Next time use the online money transfer facility. You will definately end up with the same amount as your bill amount.

    In my Electricity bill i'm getting Meter status: INACC, what does it mean.

    My concern to this is because in month of Dec'15 we were out of town for 10 days and we were in that this time Bill will be less compare to last month due to less consumption of electricity but surprisingly we received more bill compare to last month.

      Dear Sir / Madam,

      Sub: Complaint regarding billing details of Customer ID[protected]

      Sir,

      I would like to bring into your notice that since the time we have got the meter installed in our flat we used to find some discrepancy in the meter reading. The billing cycle for our meter no. 00828832 is 20th to 20th of every month. to check if we are receiving correct billing units we used to jot down the meter reading in the evening of 20th of every month. Still we used to find some variation in the meter reading which used to come in the monthly bill. We never complained about this earlier because the variation was minimal. But this time around the variation in the meter reading is around 90 units which clearly indicates that the reading is of a date much later than that specified in the bill. This has led to the total billing units of 382 units. As a result we have been charged Rs.5.30/- for units in excess of 300 units.
      Bill Period - 20/03/2009 to 21/04/2009.
      Meter reading as per bill -
      Reading on 20/03/[protected]
      Reading on 21/04/[protected]

      Reading as per our notations are as follows:
      Reading on 20/03/[protected]
      Reading on 21/04/[protected]

      So we should have got a bill of 298 units for that period rather than 382 units.

      I would request you to please provide us with a new bill with the corrected units and also take necessary actions at your end to avoid such discrepancies in future for which i would be more than grateful to you.

      I would also be grateful to you if you can explain me how "veej sulk", "indhan samayojan aakar" and "ittar aakar" are calculated.

        hi this is kiran from dombivli east, we are recieving huge electricity bills from last 8 months as we shifted to our new house from last 8 months, we use very less power, even after using power saver equipments in our house we are recieving rs.8000-rs.15000 bill amount and we are still paying .i think we have a faulty meter which gives us this much huge bill.we could pay up to rs.2500-rs.3000 my family is in very big tension with this bills.
        I request u to pls advise me for the solution at the earliest

          I am resident of B.T.Kawade Road. My last bill cam to be about 2100 approx with 336 units.
          I am staying in 2 BHK flats, and without AC. My average bill for the past years would lie in between 700 to 800. But last month we got bill of 2200 with lots of powercuts in that month. Even though If we keep all the loads in my home running, we won't get such high bill. As this is MSEB issue, this is very cumbesome to get it resolved as nothing is online. Thanks & regards

            Dear Sir,

            We are facing high voltage problem in our house. The voltage is as high as 291 V, this was recorded yesterday by the electrician.

            Due to high voltage our Refrigerator compressor, A.C. transformer & compressor stopped working as their parts got burned.

            I have been complaining about it from a month now but the response from MSEB (Maharashtra State Electricity Board), Pune is not good. Every day they say that their electrician will come but the electrician doesn't come.

            We want immediate action on this because we have suffered a loss of Rs.12, 000/- in repairing the Refrigerator, AC, ceiling fan regulator.

            I have complained regarding high Voltage perticularly in night 0100 hrs to 0600 hrs everyday last week or so. Your wire came during day when I do not face any problem. I have Home Protector, Voltage stabilizer for my refrigerator and a UPS for my computer. Due to high Voltage the power is cut. During day the Voltage is around 235 to 245. While during the period mentioned above, the Voltage is arround 275 to 280. Can you depute some good technician to find out the fault and take corrective action. Please acknowledge my complaint.

I have already sent a request to respective MSEB office but these people are saying since we dont have meters with us it will take atleast six months to fit the new meter.                     To the relevant MSEB official,

                    I was sent a lumsum bill of 1053 units in the month of october, 2008 for the months august, september & october, 2008. I had registered my complaint twice once at the Khadki sub division office & sencondly through your website. However no action has been taken till date & no settlement has been done based on average billing as on date.

                    My Consumer No. is[protected] & Billing Unit is 4600.

                    Also the reading for the month of March has not been taken & billing has been done based on 447 units upto 27th March which is false as reading as per 21st April, 2009 also amounts comes to be 425 units.

                    This all is the consequence since the concerned people dont take the meter reading & the billing is done based on some arbitrary units for which we consumers have to suffer.

                    Please look into the matter & resolve the matter as soon as possible.

                      Load shedding in Bhandup

                      I live in Bhandup arear were we ahd daily power cut of 3 Hours from 3PM to 6PM inspite court order for not cutting power in Bhandup, Mulund & Thane. It is very horrible to live without power in the afternoon. I am writing this to you so that my Voice would reach to the Government how's not taking care of people in the constitution.                       Dear Sir / Madam,

                      My consumer no:[protected], this is to complaint about, the new meter (no:[protected] which is installed in March 2018 is generating way too high units in comparison to the electric consumption in our house. Previous meter (no:[protected], avarage bill use to come around between Rs.1000 or Rs.1500. From the time MSEB have installed the new meter it has generated more than 850 units, but we are consuming less electricity as compared to the units generated. Only four members stay in my house, my mother who is housewife, my wife who works in office from 9 - 6 and two kids who goes to school and daycare from 7 am - 6 pm. The electricity bill amount for the month of April Rs. 5630.00 (Five Thousand six hundred thirty) which is way too high and unbearable to pay. On complaint to MSEB office they installed another meter parallel to the new meter so as to check if any difference in reading o[censored]nits for testing purpose, however they claim that after a weeks of testing both meters are consuming the same units and as per the usage I am suppose to pay the bill which is more than 3000 /- per month.

                      Our society meter (consumer No:[protected] bills comes around Rs.2000 per month where lifts are used 24*7 and water motor is running for 2 - 3 hours daily and lights for the society. Which means society meter is consuming less units than our house, which is next to impossible. Through the medium of this website can anyone take appropriate action. Please advise.                         Dear Sir,

                        I Kapadia Prateek, resident of 601/Shree Ram Darshan CHS, Plot No 12, Sec 8, Airoli, Navi Mumbai 400 708, would like to here by inform you that we have purchased our flat in December 2008 & an Electronic Meter (Meter No. [protected]) was given to us on 6th December 2008. From December 2008 till March 2009 we have not received our Electricity bill for which we have complained at your Rabale Office. We received our first bill in the month of March 2009 which had some mistakes with regards to Name & Flat No. Also all the other Residents of the said society have received bill for the month of March 09 & we have not received the same.

                        Besides this the Meter which is been given to us is a faulty meter as the daily consumption shown by MSEB Meter is approximately 20 Units/Day. We are only 3 members staying in the flat where we use only one fan in a day, Geyser, & One Refrigerator. We don’t have an Air Conditioner also.

                        People from your division have already visited our place & checked everything. They told they will install another Meter to check weather the allotted Meter is faulty or not. I would sincerely request you to kindly look into the matter on priority as our meter reading as of today is 1358 units for & as mentioned earlier we have not received any bill, so in the next bill we will be billed for all these units at higher rate which we are not ready to pay as this is a mistake from MSEB Department. Also as the meter is faulty we have not actually consumed so much o[censored]nits, because if we take into consideration all the above facts average monthly usage as per your faulty meter is approximately 350 Units/Month which also again is not acceptable.

                        Would request you to kindly look into the matter on priority & take necessary action & oblige.

                        The above letter was given to your Airoli Division on 8th of April & after that we have received a bill for the month of March for Rs. 6750/- which shows 1135 Units. After that also the Meter reading as of 12/04/2009 is 1553 which means an additional of 195 units in just 12 days an average of 17 units per day. Today your people have visited my residence & put one parallel meter, Would request you to kindly look into the matter as we have been charged for 1135 units at
                        Rs 5/unit as we have not received any bill because of MSEB Billing department mistake. Hope proper action will be taken on the same.

                        Dear someone who help us in this matter,

                        Subject : NO POWER SUPPLY AT NIGHT IN TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CITY NAVI MUMBAI-AIROLI


                        It is only to say TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CITY, But we people here suffering genuine problem daily with power supply at our home from last 03/04 months. Daily one of the line getting problemed & the all residentials of AIROLI - SECTOR 8 throw out in dark. This summer we were not able to sleep because of no power supply in night time. The specific time of this problem started between 8.00pm to 2.00am & 6.00am to 9.00am daily without any notice or power saving order by departments.

                        The persons on duty are not well aware of customer relation. The phone lines for customer complaint were kept busy purposely. it was also found that this wiremen put telephone receiver at side to sleep them comfortable without disturb.

                        Anybody help us to solve this problem, please do the needful as early as possible.

                          WRONG TOTAL

                          In january bill total of RC amount and additional charges is wrong.

                          RC amount : 135.02
                          Additional Charges 19.56
                          Total 255.48 This is completely wrong. I cannot understand how system can do such type of mistake. Total should be 154.58 but it is showing 255.48 and same wrong amount they charged to me.

                          I also do not know why they are taking additional charges every month from january.

                            Subject: Request to resolve electricity problem in our area

                            Dear Sir/Madam

                            We, the residents of Shinde Wasti MIDC Road, Ravet area, are writing you to bring your kind attention to the serious electricity problems in our area.

                            The problem we are the victims of, is explained below in short.

                            1. Extreme low voltage/~No power (mostly in the night). When measured digitally, it is found to be~140-160V.

                            2. Too much voltage fluctuations every day & night, which damaged our costly electrical instruments. Our other equipments are on the way to burst now.

                            3. In the nighttime, problem is even worst, there is often no power or too low voltage to operate fan, TV or some-times even CFL bulbs.

                            4. We appreciate the lineman staff in attending the complaints whenever possible in daytime. But this problem seems even out of their control.

                            5. We mostly don’t get physical copy of the bill. Some o[censored]s ask/get digital e-bill from MahaDiscom.in on request, which we pay electronically or at Nigdi office.

                            We have always co-operated with linemen in resolving local issues to our best but this seems something serious problem at higher end either due to feeder or line problem. Changing the phase did not help. We are optimistic, paying the bills on time expecting the improvements and good response from you. We request you to pay attention to this and get this problem resolved before our other remaining products get damaged. We will be very thankful.

                            Eagerly waiting to see quick and concrete action on this from you.

                            This is worst here in Indra Nagar ( Turbhe ) Navi Mumbai .at night the voltages goes beyond 270 to 280 .as a results my UPS goes down .This is a daily menence, complaint to MSEB no help, just it your problem its your transformer issue this that ..god know when and were we can get issue, can i know the Head of them whom i can contact .
                            Hey The DehuRoad Area is a worst area to live in where powercuts are frrequent in the area that to in extreme summers when power is much needed.
                            Despite of repeated complaints no one turns up.

                            If this Consumer complaints really makes sense or someone really address the issue. Please resolve the issue as we are facing 2 days of continuous load shedding. And creating trouble to our kids during their exam time.

                            My area continually facing the serious problem of Interrupted power supply. On an average 10-15 times supply gets stopped for entire area and time may vary from 5- min to 1-8 hr and sometimes entire day.
                            However we see no problem with our adjacent area. Tired of throwing multiple complaints but they gets resolved and closed without consumer confirmation. MSEDCL mobile app is literally a Joke.
                            To the effects of this, peoples are moving out of our area, nobody wants to but apartment/Flat there. We are feeling totally helpless. There is no excaltion matrix also.

                            The BU authority do not respond and did not fix this problem yet.

                              Dea Sir / Madam,
                              I, Manojkumar L pandey, am residing at room no. 10, chawl no. 3, sarla singh chawl, laxmi udyog nagar, LBS marg, Kanjurmarg ( W ), Mumbai 78, want to put this to your kind information that I am receiving electricity bills since last 3-4 months in which current readings are not mentioned also previous reading given in the bill is wrong due to which we are receiving bills with higher amounts. Every time I take readings for 5-6 days and submit it with an application than amendment is done accordingly.This time I have received a bill of amont Rs. 1310/- which is impossible and I cant pay such a high amount.
                              Every time I write a letter requesting to take the readings but no action has been taken yet.
                              My consumer no. is[protected], PC no. is 3, BU no.-4732 and DTC is -3555014.
                              Kindly do the needful.

                                Hello MSEB officer,

                                I am not getting bills in time. Sometimes i dont get the bill for 2-3 months.
                                And the bill i get is with huge amount. Then i need to come to MSEB for decreasing bills.
                                Please do the need full so that i can pay right bills in right time.

                                  1.I have given the application for the transfer of my Meter to my name to MSEB on 28th May 2008 along with all the relevant
                                  document along with Builder deposit receipt of Rs 3000 to MSEB.

                                  2. Compliant Number given by MSEB is 1457 dated 28th May 2008 .

                                  3. Since then we are following up regularly with MSEB Nerul Division for the same even after confirming that all
                                  the documents are in line with the requirement they have not changed my name till now .

                                  4. I have wasted lot of my time & money in following-up the same and request you to kindly provide me the compensation of
                                  Rs 10, 000 as per guide lines of MERC 10.1.

                                  Sir, Why not the MSEB is not collecting the bill in advance So that to avoid long queues and frequent monthly visiting to the bill collctor

                                  MSET METER TRANSFER — Meter Transfer

                                  I have to transfer my meter from Builder's name to my Name. MSEB is asking Rs. 1000/- and name transfer charges, is that charges of Rs. 1000/- is correct.

                                  My builder must have paid the deposit while getting meter from MSEB, then why should we pay again to MSEB for transfering the metter. Pl clarify.

                                    Dear Sir/ Madam,

                                    This is the high time that we are fed up MSEDC Ltd .
                                    I am a resident of Bhujbal Niwas, J.N. Raod, Mulund - West, Mumbai -400080.
                                    Despite of several requests and follow ups there is no response from the department that why the hell do we get such bill amount
                                    My area is only 200 sq feet, where we have 2 lights and 2 fans how can the bill amount be Rs. 3460/-
                                    If the services provided by the government department is this what should the consumer do??????????
                                    The bearaucrats of the department use highly unparliamentry langauge and threaten us of disconnecting the electricity connection if the bill is not paid!!!
                                    What sholud we do?????, when will we receive the rights of the consumer????????
