I got the Skoda Rapid in the month of Jan 2016 and at that time i got the temporary number which is a chandigarh number and I am living in delhi and the dealer who was fahrenheit skoda - motinagar. They told me that i will get the permanent number in two months however its been now 6 months i havent got anything and moreover the dealer is been closed down permananetly. I have called the toll free number for skoda couple of times and i always get the response that you will get a call in 24 hrs and havent got any call till now. This is the worst service i have ever got and will not ever go for Skoda .

    Recently-(2016) when i gave my Skoda Fabia-petrol to Chennai workshop and asked them to check the steering wheel as i was not feeling it smooth while driving they gave me shock. They said to me that entire steering unit needs to replace as motor is not working. This costs almost 50K????. I bought this car in Jan 2011 @5.5L and so far in last 5 years i only drove 20, 000kms. I have been raising this issue that steering does not give me smooth feeling at least 3 times out of all 5 services but every time i was told that all are ok except this time-2016. This time since i insisted to check it thoroughly as my car steering was getting worse day by day i was told to spend 50K. I mean what kind of car brand is it. There is no accident or such things has happened still we need to spend such a high amount within 5 years & 20, 000 kms? I will never recommend Skoda to anyone in my life. They are making us fool.

      I had booked for service but there were no response from the skoda service center... Had called several times but they are not in a position to accept the booking for service... It's past a month service is due... Very poor response... R either accept for service booking nor suggest how we can get service done... Another option recommend for good garage to do servic for skoda rapid...

        My car while parked on the road today caught fire by itself.Whole side of the engine bay has been burnt completely.Please contact us immediately as this is a matter if public safety considering the number of skoda lauras on the road today.I myself have another laura and a rapid.Safety is o[censored]tmost importance and necessary actions will be made so as to highlight the issue in all relevant public forums across India.

          Skoda dealers are not properly well qualified n service and they don't have enough space for service under one roof for all service .. They try to fool customers and they dnt respond properly also .. It's really foolish i[censored] take Skoda cars n Coimbatore and i[censored] leave ur car for service n Sga cars .. We don't recommend Skoda to anyone and ur peace of mind wil be lost i[censored] buy Skoda vehicles .. Why do they sell cars if they don't hav facility to do service . So money is only motive .. Service after sales is not maintained .. Pls dnt buy Skoda cars

          Dnt buy Skoda cars because they are v v poor n service department .. Worst experience ever
          Just thought of owning a skoda rapid 1.5 TDI Ambition 2018 Model. But after seeing such pathetic after sales service I have changed my mind.

          Also there should be an written confirmation from customer to his/her satisfaction level to close this complaint, but skoda India had just given a basic reply to

          customer complaint and closed the complaint in this consumer portal.

          No peace of mind I guess after purchasing Skoda!

            To experience the most ridiculous service please visit the skoda service at sanath nagar, hyderabad. This is not the first time but it is a repetitive behavior of the staff at this service center. Once over the phone the receptionist misbehaved and she went way beyond her limits and started abusing. And yesterday when i called up to check if my car repair estimate had been done or not an advisor named veerababu spoke in such a disgusting manner that i completely felt and now strongly believe that skoda customer service is the most horrible service ever. I am planning to just sell of my car rather than speak to such useless people everytime i have to get a service done. Never ever will i buy or recommend skoda to anyone going forward after such terrible incidents. This person also went up to the extent of lying saying that his senior was inspecting the vehicle but when my husband called up that so called senior he was in banglore. Very happily these people told me that just for estimation of the damage it would take 2 weeks and repair 2 months - for a short circuit that happened near the dashboard and burnt a palm size portion of it. And the best part comes when i ask for the cost estimate, i was told just 3 lac rupees. It is really worth so much damage definitely i would have paid but the way the staff responded and did not even heed to a lady customer waiting right outside their building in hot sun just made me go mad. They do have the lobby which they donot intend to show you unless you ask for it.. Best ever service. Keep it up. That person veerababu was criticizing the accessories i had in my car right behind my back with that so called senior and even he was unison with this guy and adding on more to the nonsense. How could someone behave in front of a customer who is just a few feet away from you? What kind of service is being monitored by your leadership?

              Hi,

              I am having skoda fabia gj06eh1038 recently my car was been sent to denting and painting work of left sides both doors at torque automotive on dated 24\05\2016 the delivery of the car was done with half completed in which it was noticed inside door carpet was attached with pin and nails as well it was not properly attached and gluedinterior part of the car was looking really bad of the left door sides.

              Even the handle of the door was in my hand while opening the door of the car infront of employee the reply given by him was sir apne handle ko jor se khicha this the way we are been replied

              When we approached to your executive in torque automotive vadodara gujarat reply given by him was so rude and bad ki aap kaam bhar se karwa lou i will pay you signature of satisfaction check paper was taken before the delivery of the car.

              I am very sad and disheartened by this reply this the service level provided by your managers are like we have done a big crime by choosing skoda car and i hope this same service will we be provided by your sister consultant company audi & volswagen.

              Kindly try to resolve my query asap on prior basis and reply back or else i have to route to social sites to show my disastifaction level.

                Hi škoda india team, writing this in great dismay. My skoda rapid ch01ar7877 went for service to giriraj motors, gurgaon on monday, 30th may. And it is still lying with the service center and there is no communication when will i get it back. To tell you the whole story, i gave it for service on monday, an engineer called me in afternoon saying that 3 parts are not working (Map sensor, some wiring and another small part) that needs to be changed, worth 10, 000 rs. As two parts were not with service center, i told him i will get it done next week when all parts arrive. I realized the same evening that my car is in extended warranty and i called them back. They said they will put my case for warranty. Yesterday they told me that these parts are working fine, and just a wiring needs to be changed. So either they were lying earlier to unnecessarily sell me spare parts or they are lying now that the things are working fine because the onus of parts have been shifted to them now. And its been 5 days that i haven't got my car back, neither they call me to give me an update. This is really bad customer service and i would request you to look into it immediately and get back to me. Thanks

                  2012 full option skoda rapid 80k done. . faced jerky movement followed by warning signal (coil ). . Taken vehicle to service station n diagnosed injector failure which needed to replace and cost is Rs 25000. . I searched internet n found most of rapid&Vento has this issue. . Apart from spending 11 lakes I hav to spend 25000 more for this substandard engineering and ofcourse 3 injectors r waiting for failure. .
                  In past i used many vehicles but never faced such a problem. .
                  a common major engine issue faced by almost 90% vehicles in less than 80k kms is ridiculous. Skoda has to do something on this issue, it is clearly your fault

                    sir,
                    from last 4 months my car is displaying an indication on control panel. Ihave consulted with scoda service centre, navnit cars NAGPUR for this problem. they asked me to check engine oil level / any oil leakage if it is there. I checked it personally 7 found no problem. service engineer asked me to bring my vehicle at workshop for detailed checking Ihave taken my car scoda fabia at there workshop. after keeping my car at workshop for three days the problem reappeared when I took my car back to home. I again contacter service engineers for this. they asked me to bring my car back for detailed checking. Itook my car on dt. 01/06/2016. but the service engineers are unable to solve the problem. now they are saying that you will have to change some solenoid valve for which I will have to brin my car at workshop again ! sir, I am an engineer working at MSPGCL KHAPERKHEDA T.P.S. I AM TOTALLY FRUSTED BY SUCH approach at service centre. it seems they are not trained staff & simply playiny with customers vehicle by try 7 error methods. thisis very dangerous situation for customer like me & reputation of SCODA COMPANY as such. I am attaching a rough sketch of the indication which is appearing on my cars control displaying panel. Sir, i am thinking of exchanging my vehicle by some other make car with the fear of nobody is there to take care of your car after purchasing from showroom.. please look in this matter seriously & help me to gain my thrust in SCODA vehicle.                       I have already raised a complaint to skoda on this. There is no proper coordination inside the skoda between the departments and each one is complaining about the other department.

                      There is no proper comittment on the delivery of the car after servicing. Everytime there is a delay or they will let us come again giving stupid reasons like they are overloaded.

                      now I took my car to service from chennai to trichy since the serivice is over due, but the trichy skoda service(gurudev motors) also super fast.

                      I am not sure how skoda recruited all this guys, such a dumb guys.

                      coming to the point, the service is done and the engineer found the wheel barring has to be replaced, the coordinator havent told this over phone to me, when I reached there he is buidiing this story and said take the car and do it in chennai, but the service enginner saying its not advisable to drive from here to chennai with this condition.

                      The service coordinator is a useless guy who dont even call and inform us anything, I called him almost 6 times to get the status.

                      Now the barring is available in chennai guindy office, but he is saying I dropped a email and waiting for the reply. if he didnt receive the email today I have to wait till friday or saturday for this one.

                      I request Skoda to assist me on this and take an immediate action to get the work done.

                        I brought Skoda rapid elegance in 2014 after 2years and 10000kms the car one day started jerking and cool symbol started appearing took it to service station they daignosed it as a problem with fuel injector the 3rd injector problem was replaced and was covered under warranty after 2days o[censored]se the problem araised again and this time I had to call the roadside assistance and took it to a service station now they daignosed it to be a 4th injector problem and now it's covered under extended warranty I am thinking of moving legally against Skoda for providing such faulty car to the costumes never by this simply clever car it's not the car which is clever it's simply the people who owns the company who is clever!

                          Trust this mail finds you well.
                          I am writing to you about a serious concern which has been unaddressed from last friday – 27th may’16.

                          My octavia (Mh01 bk 6535) was 1.5 yrs old when one morning it refused to start. This was june’15.
                          The sewri service centre replaced a battery given by skoda india.

                          8 months on and the same problem occurred. The car was dead on the 27th may’16 morning.
                          I called the service centre hotline, answered by a mr. Satish, who by the way was extremely rude, a very condescending tone and was outright a goon on the phone, leaving me no solution to go to the service centre personally and speak with a mr. Nadrakni.
                          He sent a low level tech back with me to altamount road (My residence) where my car stood dead, to jumpstart the vehicle.

                          He took the car at 11.30, for which i did not hear from the service centre till 16.30. I called nadkarni to which he told me they are taking the car in at 16.30.
                          He calls me back 1 hr later to tell me i have to pay for the battery. I told him that he should speak with the company as in 8 months, we do not expect skoda supplied parts to just give up. After a lot of back and forth, he placed a temp battery from their end with the assurance to send in my car on tuesday.

                          I send in my car this morning, now the new tune is that skoda has rejected that the battery be replaced and i am supposed to be paying 7500 for a new battery.
                          Make me understand mr. Borkar, how does a battery supplied by skoda india go defunct in 8 months. Are we looking a sub-standard component supply by skoda india or are we looking at the sewri service centre changing something and giving something else all together to a customer.

                          To a service assurance of 24 working hours since by complaint registered (Spl118996), i have not received a solution nor a call from skoda india.
                          Is this how the service standards at skoda india and its appointed authorised service centres are?

                          It’s a shame that the service centre tells me that they will jump start my car and i can take it out of there, or pay 7500 and take a new battery as skoda india has not approved. An 8 month old battery supplied by skoda india goes defunct, then there is something seriously wrong.

                          Why am i to be held at ransom like this? I am in the midst of a working day, now i am wasting my time over less than mediocre service with an international auto brand and its appointed sub-standard service centre.

                          I trust three serious issue will be addressed by you kind sir.
                          • the battery, why this should be happening into something which you supplied 8 months ago
                          • the poor quality of after-sales service, the obnoxiously rude individuals are not held accountable
                          • why skoda india has not called me back neither provided me an adequate solution despite 4 calls to[protected] on my complaint (Spl118996)

                          Looking forward to hearing from you with a prompt solution, as my car is still standing dead in the sewri workshop.

                          Post this i got a call from vikram swaroop - west manager for after-sales service and he told me to go buy an exide battery. To which i put the answer and conversation on record


                          Dear mr. Swaroop,
                          Thank you for your call.

                          Unfortunately, we are yet on a stalemate situation on the battery.

                          If you say that that battery’s warranty (Supplied by skoda india) starts from the time of import (1 year) and the battery itself has a shelf life due to all batteries by nature having a self-discharge/life

                          • then the battery provided to me 8 months ago could be way older than a year. If so, and the warranty standing a year from the date of import, this could very well be a situation where a component was intentionally supplied despite knowing of its nature of giving away
                          • your advice of me taking a exide battery (Longer warranty) should come as a future cautionary advice from your end, not at a time where my car is dead. Service ethics and in general good business demands that you ‘stand responsible’ change my battery and then advice me for the future to go and buy an exide battery.

                          My good sir, if this was the case when i first went through the problem within 1.5yrs of me buying the car, why was the company not transparent in conveying me all what you brought to my attention. (All my details are in the draft which i addressed to mr. Borkar, below).

                          For me to spend my own money on a new battery, i would be most willing. What i feel out of this situation is cheated and frankly a bit harassed.

                          Do advise me to what stance does skoda india wishes to take on this please. My car is still lying dead at the service centre and hopefully i would like to go home in the evening in my own car.

                          Vehicle warranty is for 2 years or unlimited km whichever is earlier from the date of sale.

                          Since vehicle is out warranty we cannot support with new battery under warranty.

                            I own a 2012 modal skoda tdi elegence and while driving it induce hingh engine sound and vibration and it's only done 58000 km. The problem was diagnosed by service center and its because of failure of fuel injection. The approximate cost for the four fuel injector will be rs 88000/-. My fried also faced the same problem and we come to know that all 2012 modal has the same problem. We are not expecting such a poor quality product from such a world premiere brand.                               This was to inform that we had booked a skoda rapid car on 18th dec, 2015, the delivery of which was given to us on 10th january 2016. From the date of delivery till now we have not been given the permanent vehicle registration number. A temporary number was given to us at the time of delivery which was valid for 2 months only. We have purchased this car from the fahrenheit automobiles, moti nagar, najaphgarh road. But now while calling to the customer care, we came to that the dealership of that dealer is cancelled, but we were not informed about it neither by the company officials nor by the dealer itself. We are in a big trouble as we cannot take our vehicle without the permanent number. We went to fahrenehit automobiles moti nagar, a number of times, but there was no response to our matter by any of the officials,
                              Previously we were talking to mr. Pradeep gautam, who assured us that we will be getting the registration number soon and we can call him, but that was all bogus and from that time his contact number is switched off.
                              Then through the customer care only., we came to know the number of mr. Amit chabbra who is a area sales manager, but here also we got a very negative answer. He said that i am only concerned about the sale of cars, i cannot do anything. I cannot help you. Its fully your concern. This was the response of the company officials. The company is simply bogus company which cannot provide any service to its customers. If this is the way to deal with the customers, then what service they will give for maintainence of the car.
                              I am very much frustrated and disappointed with the functioning of the officials. I hope that this mail when seen by the concerned person can sort out the problem immediately and help me to get the registration number.

                                Myself Sri Ashis Kr. Chatterjee Owner of SKODA FABIA WB-40X9824, am astonishingly unsatisfied with the official processing in view of servicing & repairing of my vehicle following repeated complaint & visit to your service center regarding excessive noise of radiator fan while driving. Adding with this problem i must say that the car is in vigorous vibration using brakes while travelling with a speed of 100-110 km/hr from the very first date. But repeated complaint went in vain. Please provide satisfactory customer dealings by the service center.
                                Please look after the matter on urgent mode & take necessary step to fulfill consumer's satisfaction.

                                  I have already complained many times about poor mileage of my rapid Reg num BR-01BY-7156. I have left using the car from last one year because of very poor mileage and Skoda hardly took any action for this issue. I have been trying for this for more than a year but no proper response. I visited Skoda workshop but they say they have left dealership and can't do anything for this. Sraud fan(ac fan) has a gap n makes horrible noise and car is under warranty n workshop says if Skoda sends the part they will replace it . I don't understand Skoda promised so much before the purchase and after that no response at all. Such a poor service. I want quick response from the company or else I ll file a case against the company . I have wasted 11 lakhs purchasing this car . I want reply from the company why they are behaving in such a irresponsible manner.

                                    Mine is a 2015 Elegance Skoda Octavia.I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of Aircon vent adjustment knob.
                                    3 of the knobs came out when I tried adjusting the direction of wind after the car was parked in the sun for a while.
                                    I am currently in your Trivandrum service station and when asked about the problem, they say it is broken and has to be replaced and doesn't come under warranty.
                                    It is shameful and extremely disheartening that Skoda which is a quality oriented company is providing such an expensive vehicle using low quality parts.
                                    I feel cheated .please do something about it.

                                      Hi, Our Skoda Rapid Elegance March 2012, 1.6 TDI, recently had an issue of a blinking "Emission and coil" indicator, in between a drive. When it was taken to the Bangalore Tafe access in Hosur road service station, they diagnosed and the issue seems to be with Fuel injection system. The service station has informed us that they have sent a detailed report to the Skoda technical team and the reply is expected by today i.e. May 4th. The initial reason seems to be fuel adulteration, but as all car owners, we fill it from the PSU outlets like Bharat Petroleum, HP etc, so we are wondering about the reliability of a Skoda ignition system to be faulty in two years. The Skoda service guys also informed us the cost of 4 such fuel injectors as Rs.80000/- and since it is outside our warranty, we may have to bear a part of its cost. After a detailed research, we found that there were many vehicles in the same service station with the same problem over the last couple of months, which definitely raises a question on the reliability of a world class automobile manufacturer. This is after a paid service in June 2015, with a thorough checkup done on the car, with all service needs requested by the Service team, for an amount close to Rs.12000. Having said this, we sincerely hope that your technical team will diagnose the issue in detail and let us know the best way forward. From the financial perspective, we believe that Skoda India will bear the maximum cost, for its unreliability in this case, and value your esteemed customers. Karan [protected]

                                      There is same problem with my car ! Fuel injector failed in like just 30000km .i serviced my car like 6 days ago with billing of 21000
                                      Now the injector failed. Is this the quality of product which skoda serves to customer?
                                      Atleast the customer should be served with proper service for the huge amount which they pay.i doubt weather they change parts or do something. Even they broke my clutch cylinder and now claims it in physical damage. My car is in service station since last four days there is no response no co ordination, they just need is to fool customer and get money form them that is their motive. Hope new customers should read this and be aware with what happens with customer. Worst quality products.

                                        Im writing regarding my Superb. Earlier this year the cars megatronic was replaced for which my car was held for more than over 3 weeks at the service station and before that there was the fuel exhaust and the sun roof for which it was held for 1 week.

                                        Now once again I am in the same spot, the car is skipping acceleration between gear 1-3, it feels like its the same megatronic issue but Mr. Sanjay at Giriraj gurgaon says its the clutch and the part needs to be replaced which will cost about 80k, along with the sunroof that isn't working for the second time and the stereo system is also up for replacement as the bluetooth function hangs constantly.

                                        All this past history clearly indicates that the car had a manufacturing defect. My question is what do you do in such cases? Is there a replacement or buy back option? Im extremely frustrated with this car and do not want to drive it anymore. Im travelling in taxi more than the car. The car is held at Giriraj - gurgaon and I wish to not take it back till I receive a permanent solution.
