Dear Sir,
I am an owner of Skoda Fabia with dealer Gurudev Motors, Trichy.
The attitude of the workshop and service personnel is very customer unfriendly.
Would like to raise my grievances as the worst dealer for your product.
They informed me about clutch and suspension work when I sent it for regular service but refuse to give me an estimate but demand a charge for the estimate.
Kindly help in this matter as these issues lead to customer dissatisfaction and ruin your company/product image

Skoda India — Skoda octavia back side inidicaters is not good looking

Skoda Octavia's back side indicators wants in new looks, similar as jetta or Audi. pls change if possible.I am interested to purchase new skoda Octavia can u change these.

    I had contacted skoda in feb 2016 about the bad service report by vinayaka skoda bengaluru on my superb car. They told me that "fuel system may have gone bad" for exhaust control led is on issue. I had received emails and phones from skoda about solving the issue [told me to wait a bit], but that never has happened. I had to get my car back as the service center is not sure about what they feel is the issue. Even today, after 2 months i am holding the car in same condition.
    Very bad response and customer care by an international reputed car brand. I think 2 months is enough wait.

      When I bought skoda rapid car I was given information that I will be given free service and 5 year parts guarantee but there false claims do not end.When I sent them my car in the first year they said the amount of kms have not reached the limit before we can service your car and said that you need to complete 15000kms before we service your car, so I said okay I will send it when it will reach 15000kms, now when I was booking for the free service the lady on customer care said that you free service is exhausted due to non delivery of the car in the desired time, I was amused to hear that they have been hiding this until now and then I registered a complaint with them which has not been resolved uptill now.I was waiting for there answer from the past three months untill my car stopped in a parking lot where I thought using the road assistance which they have been claiming might come handy, the technician was on time and said the fuel pump is faulty and they need to tow it to the nearest service center which I agreed and now after one day the service center has replied that your fuel pump is faulty and due to not following proper service your guarantee has been rejected.This is totally fraud as they do not give proper information and want to snatch money from customers by giving false information. I have a very bad experience untill now and want to take action against these authorities.

        I am facing this issue past 6 months as my cars skoda superb instrument cluster led's are not functioning properly.When i went to service station they said they will replace the instrument cluster which costs around 70k. This car is just 4 years old and it has this issue.I have faced numeral issues in this car but i thought it was wear and tear with every car though in this car wear and tear is quite more than others. But i don't think this instrument cluster is not wear and tear ..I have owned many cars even 10 years and i haven't faced problems of instrument lights ever..They are pretty well bright..Why skoda have all the issues? I want this to be replaced in goodwill warranty which skoda is refusing

        The very casual approach of the service station persons at priti cars pvt ltd, hubli resulted in dents on the wheel rims of front left and back wheels of my skoda laura. This was brought to the notice of concerned people but so far no action is being taken.

          The company has kept the car with them since 45 days without even explaining the problem in the car. There was a problem with the engine of the car but the company didn't gave any specified problem of the car. First they told that the car problem will go to the company after 4 days but now after 45 days they are saying that they cant do anything. The car is still with them.

            Skoda rapid tdi injector failure

            Hello,

            My skoda rapid highline tdi, bought on 7/2/2012, had an issue of a blinking "emission and coil" indicator, in between a drive. This was on 7th january 2016.
            When it was taken to the pinnacle service station kozhikode, kerala, they diagnosed and the issue to be with fuel injection system. One of the injector had stopped working and it needed replacement.

            Brought a rapid diesel vehicle on 15.1.16 through M/s Pinacle Skoda, Trichur dealer. Now the vehicle had run nearly 7500kms. The oil level is declining.               I bought skoda fabia with registration number ka04 mg2542 in 2009
              From vinayak skoda, bangalore.
              This was a defective car resulting in multiple breakdowns with various expensive repairs in the last 7 years. Defective car coupled with horrible after-sales-service has been the perfect recipe for all the nightmares that i had to endure.

              I was forced to pay to fix most of the manufacturing defects, that even with multiple skoda workshop visits often with incompetent engineers not able to diagnose the root cause of the issues. Now most of the hardware issues remain fixed except ecu.

              The ecu malfunction appeared within 1 year of the purchase whic shows glowing airbag symbol for the driver. This was reported on 06-jan-2010.
              In spite of my repeated requests to replace/fix this ecu ever since was simply rejected by kr puram vinayak skoda service center.
              I was determined that i was not going to pay for something of such critical unit for manufacturing defect which can not be caused by normal wear and tear !!! This in spite of the fact that it is clearly a manufacturing defect and could be a safety hazard which may not deploy the airbag when it is needed or even worse, i constantly fear that it may deploy airbag while it is not needed! Skoda wants me to pay north of 30k rupees to fix this on top of all the mental harassement that i had to endure and jeopardizing the safety of the customer.

              It appears to me that the skoda thinks that only in india, life is cheap and customers can be taken for granted.

              These are the chronological major events :

              Jun 2009 - brand new skoda fabia was bought from vinayak skoda
              10-aug-2009 - reverse gear did not work at parking lot!
              Imagine such a failure with in 3 months of delivery!
              The car was towed and vinayak skoda fixed the problem.

              06-jan-2010 - ecu failure resulting in airbag light glowing.
              With in 1 year of purchase! Skoda refused to fix unless i pay for it.
              Repeated requests to fix this from then till now in 2016 have
              Been simply brushed aside.
              14 sep 2012 - vehicle will simply not start (Won't even attempt to start) sometimes.
              After frantically trying to start, you give up and wait for an hour or so,
              Then mostly it will start. This was difficult to reproduce which happens
              Once in a month or so.
              This problem remained mysterious and got me stranded innumerable
              Times. This was ultimately fixed in 30 dec 2014 by
              Skoda auro motors by replacing the starter motor.
              During these 2 years skoda service was not able to exactly identify
              The root cause often doing band-aid fixes which temporarily fixed the
              Problem so that the breakdown happens after 2 months again.

              I do not think the starter motor failure is normal wear and tear either. However i had to pay for it in addition to all the hassles i had to go through during these two years with multiple breakdowns.

              Now i seek the ecu to be replaced free of cost and the compensation for the mental torture skoda india has put me through for the safety hazard of not replacing this unit in spite of my repeated requests since after 1 year of purchasing this car.

              Just for the records, the Vinayak Skoda refused to replace ECM as they said it is out of warranty,
              though the problem about glowing airbag was reported on with in first year on 6-Jan-2010 as per
              the service records. Skoda claims they have addressed the problem that time itself where obviously
              they have not fixed the root cause. A blatant lie by lazy dealer with the blessing of Skoda India.

              Skoda India also cited the reason for refusal as claiming this after almost 7 years. I have been complaining about the problem to the service dealers all along and only after 2 years they clearly mentioned that there is ECM failure and I was determined not to pay for the manufacturing defect. Now when escalated, they show the same reason to refuse the fix. All along there were other serious functional failures like starter motor failure with which Vinayak Skoda was fumbling with the problem for almost 2 years without fixing the root cause.

              Anyway, SKODA India is not willing to improve. Skoda service centers are under-staffed for the amount of cars they are receiving to service per day and they have no motivation to improve service quality. They do not sell the parts over the counter, so you can not easily find any independent mechanics and you are stuck -- You will be reminded of going to Government office when you go to Skoda service center. They could not care less and not interested in fixing the root cause. I should have known better.

              Sorry guys, if you want to humiliate yourself, buy Skoda, otherwise just stay away from these lazy buggers. They will take you down to their level and beat you with experience.

                I bought a Skoda-Rapid 1.6MPI Style Plus from Vinayaka Skoda, Sadashiv Nagar, Bangalore. The car was bought under the recent 2015 manufacture year scheme wherein the company was offering 3 years insurance at Rs.1 and 1 year extended warranty along with the 2 years normal warranty.

                Below is the breakup of the amount that I had paid to the dealer -
                Finance SBM - 9, 60, 000
                Down Payment - 1, 75, 717
                Registration - 6500 (Without Receipts)
                Additional Accessories - 11730

                Total Paid - Rs. 11, 53, 947

                Besides the dealer acted very cheap while swiping credit card/debit card and charged an additional 2% for every credit card/debit card swipe and also had atleast 5 stickers saying 'Vinayaka Skoda' all around the car. I was pretty happy with the sales representative and Vinayaka Skoda as they delivered the car on the committed date.

                It was a shock for me when I received my registration receipts and insurance documents. The things do not add up to what I have paid for the car.

                Below is what I have on the registration and insurance documents.

                On the Invoice :-

                Car Ex-Showroom - 8, 87, 238
                KA road Tax - 1, 37, 874
                Insurance & extended warranty @ Rs.1
                Additional Accessories - 11730

                Total - 10, 36, 843

                Bajaj Allianz has insured the vehicle for the first year not sure where is the insurance of the next 2 years @ vehicle IDV Rs.9, 16, 739. The amount which does not match the documented vehicle ex-showroom price quoted to me during purchase or does not match the Tax Invoice .

                I called Skoda customer care and they wrote an email to 'Vinayaka Skoda' for which I have still not received any response. Its been almost 30 days after purchase and 20 days since I had called up customer care to complain. Neither have I received any response not have I received any warranty documents or the RC booklet.

                The dealer has no explanation for the variance in the amount that I had paid which amounts to almost 1, 20, 000 rupees.

                  I am the owner of Skoda Fabia for the past 5 years and in none of the past years, i repeat, NONE of the past years have my experience at their Service Centers in Bangalore or Chennai been anything but a NIGHTMARE.
                  To quote a recent example, I recently went to get my car serviced due to some issues with the breaks at their Guindy service center, Chennai. This too after following up with their guys for 6 MONTHS. Before the floods as well as after, even after booking my interest to get service done on their website ( the showroom called me and said they will confirm in sometime. That was 6 months ago. I had yet to receive a callback). The one fine morning, their lady calls me and says we have special offers for service. WHAT happened to the initial call back? DO the guys not track your customers mails?

                  Even after that I was willing to get it serviced and fixed a date for 2 weeks later. The day before the service, their office calls and says can you shift your date as facility is full. SERIOUSLY??? I refused and again they said they will call back. And they didnt call back. They keep their customer waiting for their phone call really long. Absolutely Zero customer Service. I anyway went next day and gave my car for service. Quotation given was 13K including spare parts and labour.
                  Next day their mechanic calls me and says battery is faulty. Will replace. I said OK. Day after that, he called again and said Sensors are faulty and will cost 8k to replace but the battery is OK. I again said OK. He also mentioned to small wire change to be done with the side mirror. I said ok.

                  So you can imagine my surprise when I received their bill for approx. 40k instead of 13k. Their guy changed the battery, sensors and the entire side mirror which I was not informed about. Quotation given was way off the initially given amounts.

                  When we went and asked their service guys he said I approved everything?? Really? They give a wrong quotation, charge higher and then they say I approved? This is absolutely daylight robbery.

                  And to add fuel to fire, I never ordered any Value added Service from them. Yet I was charged for that again. This is really not acceptable.

                  On taking up the issue further with them(after I was forced to pay the entire 40K), they apologised, said there was a miscommunication between the customer and the service rep, said they will internally have a meeting and try to fix the problem etc. But they never once said it was their fault and would rectify. I am sure I am not the only guy they have duped this way.

                  Please help me resolve this issue ASAP.

                  Just thought of owning a skoda rapid 1.5 TDI Ambition 2018 Model. But after seeing such pathetic after sales service I have changed my mind.

                  Also there should be an written confirmation from customer to his/her satisfaction level to close this complaint, but skoda India had just given a basic reply to

                  customer complaint and closed the complaint in this consumer portal.

                  No peace of mind I guess after purchasing Skoda!

                    Giving my feedback after waiting for more than a month for work to be completed. Skoda has a spares availability issue for every spares they send the Bullock cart to fetch from Czech Republic.
                    since it is rocket science we are talking about service people are not competent enough to fix long pending issues, suggest me an alternate service workshop

                        Dont go to JMD Bhandup.. They are not genuine... I had a very bad Expirience with them .. They will just try to add up any labour charges in your bill. I can show u my bill how they chetated me .. Since i have to go to family outing and i was out of town for alomost 6 month after this, i could not do anything

                        I gave my car for Servicing...

                        After I got delivery I check all things as Per check list given .. and I m surprized. They have not done anything ...

                        I my self open bonnet and ask them where is engine waxing, and the adviser went missing for some time and come back after 10 mins with some service personal and start sponging engine with some oily thing and was telling me doing waxing it is missed..

                        When I told I will not pay for this He afterward removed 1000 rs for Waxing from bill

                        Again I checked AC Condensor there was still lot of dust and I shown him that dust I asked him how he clean it and done ac servicing ... He gave me some answers and again went missing and start shouting on labour that did not did it ..

                        And again he remove 1000 for Condensor cleaning from total Bill

                        Same story for Cowl Cleaning ...

                        that guy removed 3000 rupees from Bill when started checking all items billed for me immidiately ... What if i had not checked all things ... u can understand if they were genuine they had not removed 3000 .. they knew nobody notices this things ...

                        Before giving car for servicing check online cost and ask same..

                        I am doubt that they have changed Engine oil and Filters or not and also AC servicing also.. These SKODA JMD Bhandup are Cheaters ... I have exp. so be aware...

                        So I suggest dont go to Bhandup .. They just loot you ...
                        i[censored] are going prepare and check everything ...

                        The receptionist and Service Advisor both divert you .. I for got the name of that guy... I will check my bill and update..

                          I bought Skoda Fabia from Senator Mumbai in June-2014. Car was running fine but last year some EPC and engine light started appearing on Meter Screen.

                          I visited fahrenheit skoda Service center and they repaired the car.

                          After 15 days same issue incurred again which was repaired again by same service center.

                          Same issue appear again after some days and they have changed some part in vehicle.

                          On 27th Feb-2016 same issue occurred again and this was 4th time that happen. I give car at Service center and today after 13 days when I called service center they are saying that we are not able to resolve the issue and you can take back your vehicle. Car is still under warranty.

                          This is not a kind of service which was expected from such an large organization. This is really very frustrating and harassing condition

                            I pruchased car from skoda on september 2014. Next year january 2015 it got complaint with battery. Since my vehicle is under 2 years warranty I got the battery replaced. They replaced it with exide battery. When I asked for new battery warranty they told yhat it wont get fresh warranty and the warranty of new battery is from september 2014. Why is it so? Why cant skoda provide fresh warranty for replaced battery?

                                I own a skoda rapid car( purchase date 25/09/2014). First service was on November 2015. On 16th January 2016 it faces some problem with air conditioner and after sometime it got breakdown and with the help of service battery the problem of breakdown got solved...next day morning the same happens then also from workshop someone came with service battery and solved it. I reported skoda marikkar office and insisted upon them for checking the vehicle as I want to go for long trip on 22nd January. On 17th January someone from skoda service came and took the vehicle (complaint was regarding battery and air conditioner). On 18th January evening I called the service consultant Mr. Lijo and he reported the problem is due to battery and they will replace it. till 20th evening they repeated the same thing and on 22nd morning when I asked for vehicle they told me there was no problem for battery and can take my vehicle back but I insisted upon replacement and atlast they changed it. I took the vehicle back and went for long drive then also air conditioner problem persists and reported and gave the vehicle back on 25th February. But till today(3/3/2016) they didnt find the problem and they are lagging the service saying they have to get the consent from skoda for part change since the vehicle is under warranty. I fed up in calling them every day for the vehicle.

                                  On the morning of 28-Nov-15, I tried starting my car (Skoda Laura F/L Ambiente MTI.9 - KA53P 0534) which was unused for 3 days and could not as it just wouldn't crank. I immediately called the Skoda Service centre at Singasandra, Hosur Road, who provided me details of a person who they stated was the on-call mechanic from Skoda. He and his team visited the next day and checked my vehicle and weren't able to detect the problem and recommended towing the vehicle to the service station so they could take a closer look and try to resolve the matter. The very next day, I called for a flatbed towing company and had my car towed to the service centre, when I was assured of having my car looked into, fixed and ready to drive back. However, this did not happen and there was inordinate delay in getting back to me on the main problem. After about a couple of weeks, I was informed of a problem with the ECM and that I needed to replace the same. My immediately reaction was disbelief as I don't understand how such an important component could get damaged on a car which is just about 5 years old (bought brand new from the showroom). I checked on insurance and provided all details required; until today, I haven't heard back from the team and I am unsure further steps. It is now over 2 months since my vehicle is parked at the service centre. I am surely not willing to pay for a defective part, the ECM (cannot describe it any other way as I simply cannot understand why I would pay 17 lac for a car with an ECM that costs a lac getting to be defective in 5 years); this is not a part of the car that can be subjected to the daily wear and tear. Look forward to a resolution from the Skoda team.

                                    We have given our car Skoda Superb, Reg No: MH-04 EF 1068 for Servicing and maintenance repair works to Autobhan Enterprises Pvt Ltd. on 6th Jan 2016.
                                    The problem was that lights were getting automatically on without using the car and the battery was getting drained out.
                                    The work, service was completed and we paid Rs. 25, 000/-. Subsequently they found same problem of lights getting automatically on without using the car and the battery getting drained out again. The Advisor suggested us to change the new Control board unit set of the same.
                                    As per their advice we've sent as advance RTGS of Rs 10, 000/- on 3rd Feb 2016, for the on Board Control unit .
                                    We asked for spare Vehicle but not given any till date.
                                    I’ve requested them numerous times to advise the status of my vehicle and the delivery date, as it has been delayed and we cannot use the car for last 6 weeks.
                                    Its been more than six weeks and the repairs are still not done.
                                    The car has done less than 10, 000 kms as on date. We request you the replace the car as it had A C problem on our purchase in 2010 and we had lodged many complaints then . The car is a defective piece .

                                      Am an advocate was on my way to home from court at 4.30p.m. my rear wheel was punctured it is a tubeless tyre i went to the shop for puncture he opened all the bolts except the anti theft as it is slipping b'coz it's threads are gone he asked me to go to a mechanic he tried his best & directed me to a welder after he welded the bolt for 4 times it was in vain he struggled to remove it. i managed with the same punctured tyre for 4 days taking a tyre inflattor along with me as the tyre is damaged we thought of changing the tyre, but your company showed me hell whether you believe it or not.

                                      A company like skoda should not bring out such a bolt with unreliable bits to trouble us all the four bolts are wearing out automatically by rust and the roof of the car lost it's gum simply hanging and the door handles are of very poor work of engineering when compared to the cars i have else from skoda, mitsubhishi lancer glx is an excellent performer and peugeot 309gld is an outstanding performer.

                                      In this context i would like to file a petition in the court for a compensation for the time wasted and tension i faced because of Skoda Octavia ( Elegance) Automatic Transmission
