I flew on SpiceJet flight SG169 on Jan 23rd 2025 at 9:40pm flight from Delhi to Mumbai. I was carrying a laptop bag and carry on which the airline personal charged my 5850 rupees even though 1 free check in was allowed. They had an option to check in that bag but instead charged me for taking as a carry on. On the top of it when I was boarding the flight they forced me to check in even though I was told I am being charged since I am carrying on. So net net I paid for something which was free check in the first place and then not allowed to carry on. So why was I not excused and then charged and then suffer to go through check in.

    Cancelled flight refund

    On 23 April 2024 I purchased a flight from Varanasi to Jaipur for 4 passengers on 29 November 2024. Booking # FFU1SA for INR 41, 628 paid via my Visa credit card.
    Then on 17 November 2024, Spicejet did cancel the flight and offered a refund.
    Now after many emails back and forth to [protected]@spicejet.com since 3 December 2024 (Case Number[protected], I am being told that I need to provide bank account details from an India...

    We took flight no SG 2937 from Delhi to Dharamshala on 22/09/2024. At the time of bording we gave two bagages for check in baggage no SG [protected] and SG[protected] both baggages were given in best condition at chick-in counter At arrival at Dharamshala airport we find that out of two bags one bag no SG[protected] were damaged. Both handles of this bag was broken. I called the spice jet Concerned officer at Dharamshala airport and shown to him. He apologized for the damage and assured me for solution. He fill use form of Baggage irregularity report and assured us that concerned team will contact within 48 hours. But no body contacted me during my travel period even my continues follow-up with mails and phones. Today 2 months passed but no soloution find . they are just ignoring with giving me task to do which they are already having We travel many places in Dharmshalla and Palampur with my broken suitcase. This was a big harassment for me and my wife We both are senior citizens I am 69 and my wife 63. It was great problem for us to travel without suitcase handles. I claim on the airline is 28500/- (Cost of suitcase 13500/- plus harassment during the tour Rs 15000/-).

    THEY ARE JOCKING WITH OFFERING ME 1000/- WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME . I OFFER THEM TO MAKE REPAIR OF MY BAG WITH TAKNG 1000/- FROM ME.

      During travelling on SG8193 dated 10.11.2024 form Delhi to Ahmedabad with my wife, officer's of spicejet denied boarding on the said flight and given move for next day i.e. 11.11.2024 alognwith DNBD compensation as per company policy. But till date i have not received any compensation. My PNR No. IFUN6N. please look into matter personally and give me compensation as early as possible.

        I bought ticket for CCU-DEL ( PNR UEHJKW) .I purchased Rs.760 and Rs. 515 add on seat (2 times). The preferred seat is not showing in the ticket for Ms. Sudakshina Ghosh even after paying 2 times.
        Please investigate and refund the balance amount to me.

          On 9th October 2024, I attempted to book a flight (SG53) from Kozhikode to Dubai for 10th october 2024 via spicejet website. After the amount was debited from my account, the booking failed, and I did not receive any confirmation, i send several mails no response from them, Due to the failure, I proceeded to book the same flight through the MakeMyTrip platform.

            Flight out of Delhi SG193. Should have left 10.10. Left at 4.40 (airborne)
            Landed 6 PM Was out of airport by 7 PM.
            Staff said they would provide refreshments but all we got was a noodle soup for a 7 plus hour delay.
            On top of that my luggage was damage
            Also could not do a web check in and there is no information from where the flight leaves.
            I traveled to IGi Terminal 3 and had to take a second ola taxi to terminal 1.

              Dear Sir/Madam,

              I am writing to file a formal complaint against SpiceJet Airways regarding an **8-hour delay** on my flight from Mumbai to Delhi on **[9th September 2024l]**, Flight Number **[Flight Number SG-8158]**. This extended delay caused significant inconvenience, and the situation was exacerbated by the **rude behavior** of the airline staff.

              The staff at the airport were not only unhelpful but also dismissive when approached for information regarding the delay. Their unprofessional and rude conduct further added to the distress experienced by the passengers.

              Additionally, during this delay, a male passenger **abused and shouted at other customers**, while a female passenger, dressed in black, also **raised her voice and behaved rudely**. The airline staff did nothing to control this situation or assist the affected passengers.

              I am sharing a video that captures the misconduct of both the passengers and the airline staff. I request that the Consumer Forum investigate this incident thoroughly and ensure that appropriate actions are taken against SpiceJet Airways for their poor handling of the situation, as well as the behavior of their staff.

              Please let me know if further information or documentation is required from my side.

                My Flight was booked on 25 July 2024 from Jed to CCJ, Initially with a delay of 25 minutes the flight took off . But 1 hour into the flight, we experienced severe vibration and could visibly see smoke out of the engine. The flight was landed back in Jeddah and we were made to sit in the flight for 2 hours with no proper communication regarding the situation. As a complimentary we were served some meal which was expired 4 days ago. When complaint about this I was told they were under a lot of pressure already and kindly do not make an issue out of this . FInally we were moved to a hotel where i had to share rooms with other 3 fellow passengers who were not known to me . even after such a traumatic situation, we were handled very unprofessionally and was moved to a flight that was due to take off 26 hours later which was also delayed by 1 Hour .
                I want a compensation for such a traumatic experience in the form of a refund

                  I booked a flight for Pune to new Delhi which was supposed to go on 11.08. Aug at 7:25 pm. But spicejet before send a message that your flight has been rescheduled due to operational reasons. The new time they gave was 12.aug. 2024 at 1:15 am. Soon after this, a new notification for new change in flight schedule popped up. NOW the new time was 2:10 am.
                  After reaching the airport as per guidance 2 hours before flight and getting all luggage and security checked in, They announced their at airport the new flight schedule time is around 3 : 00 am.

                  *never gonna travel with spicejet and not recommending anyone to go for this if you want to save yourself from physical mental and emotional torture.

                    I had a booking from bangalore to Delhi (booked 1.5 months back) on 14th Aug night and 15th early morning from Delhi to Jammu ( via Indigo). I was supposed to come back to delhi from Jammu via Spice Jet on 17 th Aug...
                    However, to my dismay just with less than 2 weeks to my flight from bangalore to delhi, Spice Jet rescheduled my flight on 14th August to 16th August... I urgently had to reach on 15th August early morning. But now, similar flights from bangalore to delhi on 14th august would have costed me 3X the original price paid by me. I am a student and I cant pay this much amount on travel.

                    Hence, spicejet has let me with no option but to drop the trip. I will get full refund for the flight from bangalore to Delhi.

                    However, this is not enough as Due to them, I have to bear the loss of 3K at part of the cancellation of Indigo flight in the morning on 15th August.

                    Since, I am in this stressful situation I would like to seek full refund of money on cancelling Spicejet flight from Jammu to Delhi on 17th August. Spice Jet should take ownership of their poor honour of commitment and provide me full refund for the loss of money I have to bear for cancelling Indigo flight (on 15th August) as well as Spicejet flight (on 17th August) (3k + 3k). i.e. Total of Rs. 6, 000/- net loss I will have to bear for cancellation

                      On 4/7/2024 I flew with spicejet from New Delhi to Thailand this concerned flight SG-87 upon arrival my baggage came of the conveyor belt damaged.
                      At Indra Gandhi Airport New Delhi i immediately submit a PIR form with number to spicejet official's but has not offered a solution .
                      According to the Montreal treaty, i am entitled to compensation. I here with hold you libel for the damage that my baggage incurred during the flight operated by your airline.

                        This is regarding cancellation of flight SG-8946, for which I raised concern through mail on 1st June2024. I've received my ticket booking amount of Rs 20808/-, after deduction of 1400/- convenience fee even after knowing the fact that it was not only caused inconvenience but also a loss of 9885/- as the rebooking of ticket for same date journey.                         As a customer who paid advance and booked his journey, isn't it a breach of commitment causing financial loss and mental torture?
                        I strongly put my claim of Rs 11285/-to BudgetTicket as well as Spice jet for this compensation. In case of no action from your side, I'll be forced to take legal action from my side to both the parties along with social media sharing to aware others also.

                          I had one carryon bag which had some gift that was fragile. The carry on bag weighed about 10kg and it was well within the limit as far as size was concerned. I had a backpack. I am a working musician and we usually carry our guitar as carryon and a small backpack. So thinking that it would not be an issue, i did not check in at the counter and went straight to boarding. Two gentlemen at the boarding gate in Bagdogra asked me to step out and said that they needed to weigh my bag. I said fine and then they said that I have to pay 3600 for my carry on. I said they could take in to the checkin or give it to the crew at the gate (usually articles like guitar / baby trolley / etc ). I explained to them that I take my guitar along with me which probably weighs about the same.. I requested them to charge me 1800 for 3kgs extra but they said if you don't pay then we wont let you in. I also said sorry and I did know that an extra 2 -3 kgs would mean a lot of money (3600).

                          I have travelled all over the world with my band and I have never ever come across such a cold and rude personnel with zero attention to who they are dealing with. Its not that I was doing something wrong or escaping the time in the arrival carousel. I simply was not aware that it would cost that much and also that for extra 3 kgs or so.

                          I would request you to kindly check with the airline and see if i can get any refund on this cause its simply absurd that I was just carrying a 10 kg carryon bag that costed me 3600.

                            I booked a flight ticket from Dubai to Ahmedabad on 28 june 2024 Flight SG 16.

                            My name is Punit Ruparel & used the same email address for booking from the website but didn't get any confirmation.

                            I raised concern to [protected]@spicejet.com and [protected]@spicejet.com email address but didn't get any response except system generated messages.

                            I called the help center two times but didn't get any proper resolution except this email address.

                            Now my money is stuck, and I am not able to book another flight ticket unless & until i get any resolution because otherwise you people don't give any refund on tickets.

                              On [29-May-24], I traveled with SpiceJet from [Dubai T-1] to [Jaipur T1], Flight [SG-58]. Unfortunately, upon arrival, my luggage did not appear on the carousel as expected. Despite waiting for an extended period and following the necessary procedures with your ground staff, my luggage remains missing.

                              This situation has caused me significant inconvenience and distress, as my belongings are essential for my travel and personal needs. your ground staff behavior was very rude because i was informed them that my return flight to dubai on 1 of june 24 so i need my luggage to take back the suit case with me. then on first since morning or since my luggage arrival on jaipur aiport i conversation with your ground staff that i will pick up the luggage from airport but the reason they provide was unacceptable and they put for delivery i spent 5000 RS to book the personal car to picked up my luggage from jaipur aiport by my brother in law. but very rude behavior with my brother-in-law by your ground staff i trust that SpiceJet will take immediate action.

                              I kindly request that you provide me with updates on the status of my luggage compensate for the inconvenience caused.

                                Dear SpiceJet,
                                I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an unfortunate experience we had during our recent flight with SpiceJet on SG51 from Pune Airport to Dubai International Airport on 28th May 2024
                                Upon arrival at the boarding gate, we were informed that our luggage was over the weight limit. Despite our request to dispose of the excess items, we were forcefully made to pay a significant sum for the extra weight. This occurred at the last moment, adding unnecessary stress to our boarding process.
                                The situation was particularly distressing for the two elderly women traveling with alone, who were already under pressure due to the delayed flight. We requested to redistribute some of the excess luggage with a known friend, but this request was denied without consideration.
                                We believe that a little empathy and flexibility could have significantly improved our experience, especially given that it was the first flight for the elderly passengers. Instead, we were left with a stressful and unpleasant memory of what should have been an enjoyable trip.
                                Additionally, the flight delay caused further inconvenience. We had planned to take the metro upon arrival, but due to the delay, we were forced to hire a taxi at a much higher cost.
                                Given these circumstances, we respectfully request the following:
                                1. A review and serious action against the staff member whose rude behavior added to our distress.
                                2. Compensation for the excess baggage charges that were unfairly imposed.
                                3. Reimbursement for the additional transportation costs incurred due to the flight delay.
                                We hope that SpiceJet can understand our situation and take the necessary steps to ensure better treatment for passengers in the future. We trust that you will handle this matter with the seriousness it deserves and provide a satisfactory resolution.

                                  I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience with SpiceJet flight SG 529 from Bangalore to Delhi on May 26, 2024.

                                  At the time of boarding, I was informed that my cabin baggage exceeded the weight limit, and I was asked to pay ₹7200. While I understand the need for adhering to baggage policies, the manner in which this situation was handled left much to be desired. The following issues occurred:

                                  Lack of Flexibility: Despite my willingness to adjust the weight or pay the excess charges, the ground staff were unyielding. They did not consider any alternatives and insisted on the full payment.
                                  Rude Behavior: The ground staff, particularly an employee named Nimmy, Nasmeer and Mr. Mohammad (though I forgot his full name), was exceptionally rude. Their tone and demeanor were disrespectful, and they did not listen to my concerns.
                                  Humiliation: I felt humiliated by the entire experience. As a frequent traveler, I have never encountered such inflexibility and disrespect from airline staff.
                                  Customer Consideration: It was disappointing that my situation as a customer was not taken into account. I understand rules are rules, but empathy and understanding go a long way in maintaining customer satisfaction.
                                  I am willing to pay the excess baggage charges, but I strongly urge SpiceJet to address the behavior of its employees. Such incidents tarnish the airline’s reputation and discourage passengers from choosing SpiceJet in the future.

                                  I kindly request the following actions:

                                  Employee Training: Conduct training sessions for ground staff to improve their communication skills and customer handling.
                                  Feedback Mechanism: Establish a feedback mechanism where passengers can report incidents of rudeness or poor service.
                                  Customer-Centric Approach: Encourage a customer-centric approach that prioritizes understanding and flexibility.
                                  I will also be sharing my experience on social media platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn to raise awareness. As a loyal customer, I hope that SpiceJet takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving its services.
