I am Lokeswari from Bangalore... I have booked a room by stayzilla in hotel in GUNTUR on 19thJuly 2016 and I paid full payment of Rs.1478/. Booking ID is[protected][protected]. And after booking my travel plan is changed due to some medical emergency so I cancelled the booking on 111/Aug/2016. And after cancellation I received a message from stayzilla that soon I will receive a message regarding the cancellation and refund amount. But I did not receive any message and refund as of now. I request you to please refund my amount.

    Hi,

    This is regarding my latest order id :[protected][protected].

    I’ve a couple of issues to resolve.
    1. The order no i’ve shared, the order is done but i’ve haven’t received any receipt for the order which i need to slow at the time of check-in. The booking was done from [protected]@outlook.Com
    Please resend the receipt.

    2. Before this order i’ve tried to order the same as a guest account. The mobile no that was shared was [protected], and the mail id was [protected]@gmail.Com. At the time of payment, the payment got declined but the amount was deducted from my bank account. I need to clarify this issue also.

        Hi, my name is sohan sharma from mahisbathan salt lake sector v, 700091kolkata. me and my friends was planning for a short trip to new digha so we went on to some online hotel booking sites. then we found the 'stayzilla-online hotel booking site' and there we found a hotel named 'renuka holiday inn' in new digha and it was showing that there are available rooms in this hotel. we then booked a 4 bed non a/c room from 13th aug 2016 to 15th aug 2016. we paid a sum amount of rs. 1433 for our advance booking. after booking, a mail had arrived to us with a booking id no:[protected][protected] and provide us a contact no. we then reach upto the contact no and he will asure us that within a couple of minutes we will get our confirmation mail from him. after that we could not get any confirmation mail from him, apart from this when we tried to reach him again we found that his phone is out of reach. we could not find any other way. please help us to get our fund back. i am providing you all the details in the attachment.

          I am kuntal das. I to confirm the booking that i have made via stayzilla.com for a single room from 10-14 aug to hotel serene shillong.

          I have received a confirmation mail from the website. The booking reference number is:order id:[protected][protected] (This is also the check in pass). Just to notify you the full payment has been made.

          However when i contacted the hotel they said that they haven't received any email form stayzilla.

          Could you please look into it and let me know about the current status. I tried to reach out to the stayzilla customer care but they could not be traced.

            I booked hotel for 14 august 2016 to 16 august. The money is debited from my account but it is showing an error that there is an issue with payment.
            Please refund my money ASAP
            I have booked the Anando Palm Resort for 13-aug-16 to 15-Aug-16 and made 30% advance payment of 1867 Rs. My booking ID is[protected][protected].

            However, after checking with Anando Palm Resort directly, I came to know that they are taken over by Club Mahindra so they have stopped taking booking now. And also they can not confirm any booking.

            In this case, please refund me my money.

            I am trying to call on the numbers of given on your website, but none of them are working. Please do the needful.

                  We booked on 28 may 2016 a double-bed room for us for 4th & 5th june 2016 in hotel hemkunth at kasauli, himachal pradesh, through stayzilla. as per the online booking requirement, one could pay 30% of the charges as advance for the booking. accordingly, we made 30% payment.
                  However, we were contacted by one stayzilla executive the same afternoon informing that the hotel would not confirm the booking without 100% payment. so, we paid the balance 70% to stayzilla the same afternoon.
                  We were informed by a stayzilla executive on 29 may 2016 that the rooms in hotel hemkunth were sold out and the hotel did not confirm the booking because of late payment.
                  This was an extreme harassment by stayzilla after 100% payment by us for the hotel room booking.
                  After lot of persuasion since our tour programme was getting haywire, one goodhearted stayzilla executive arranged for alternative accommodation nearby.
                  After we reached kasauli on 4 june 2016, we visited hotel hemkunth and were informed that booking for 4th & 5th june were available. they made no comment when enquired why our booking through stayzilla was not confirmed. this response or no-response pointed towards unreliability of stayzilla for a customer.
                  Our bad experience with stayzilla did not end there.
                  After we made 100% payment for hemkunth hotel, we made another booking through stayzilla for a double-bed room in ridge view hotel in shimla, himachal pradesh, for stay from 6 to 8 june 2016 (with check-out on 9 june) and to avoid subsequent harassment, paid 100% charges in advance.
                  When we checked-in at ridge view hotel in shimla on 6 june, we were given a very small room with only one small window opening to a 3ft wide open space between two buildings. there was a double bed in it but the room was very smelly and suffocating. we objected to stay in that unhealthy room but the hotel manager said that for stayzilla that was the room. but we insisted for change of room else we would have no alternative but to cancel our stay in spite of any amount that would be charged for cancellation. we requested the manager to talk to the owner of the hotel.
                  At the same time, we contacted one stayzilla executive (by chance we had taken his personal mobile number. stayzilla executives can not be called back at the official phone numbers through which they call customers), explained the situation and requested for help. the kind executive forwarded the request to concerned executive for that hotel.instead of extending help, the executive handling that hotel put the responsibility for the bad room on us. she said we should have checked the room before booking.
                  She washed stayzilla hands for the problem. we felt very bad due to the situation and the treatment meted out by stayzilla to its customers.
                  We do not want to take services of stayzilla anymore. we do not recommend stayzilla to anybody.
                  Considering the booking status and discussing with the owner, the ridge view hotel manager offered to us another room which had large window to the open and we readily accepted it.
                  We came to know later on that as against the charge of rs 1, 469 per day that we paid stayzilla for the room, the actual charge for the room was rs.1, 089 per day if we had taken it directly from the hotel. it means, stayzilla charged 35% extra over the actual room charge/rent.

                    I have done the booking of two hotels from the stayzilla website one is relating to ashish inn hotel, kandaghat, solan and anr. Is of kausali woods, garkhal, kausauli in regard to which i made the amount of two different amounts one is of 1800 and anr is of 1467 against the booking order no.[protected][protected] and anr. Booking order no. Of kasauli hotel is[protected][protected]. But aftr few mins. I received the mail the bookings of these two hotels stand cancelled. When i reveived the cal of this service provider website i asked about the refund of my amount they said it will be refunded within 24 hrs but since more than 24 hrs has elapsed but the amount has not yet be refunded to me.. Pls refund my amount as early as possible or otherwise i hv to take legal action against this website.. For the kind perusual i am attaching the booking orders of the hotels.

                      The said booking was done at stayzilla.com displayed price on the portal. Based on this booking, when I was traveling with family to my destination (I.e. Diu), I received a call from them that the said booking is denied and they asked higher price for the room. I do not know how do they function and how many people they cheat daily with their such futile and untenable statements. They display a property, they accept booking, they charge money from the tourist but at the eleventh hour, somebody from their team calls the tourist, tells him/her that booking is cancelled citing various excuses and then they ask tourists to pay higher price for the said property.

                      1. Portal says booking is not complete - but they comfortably charge money and then give shock to travellers by denied bookings. Why don't they first confirm booking status and booking amount before charging to the customer?? A customer knows the portal and deal through it, not the hotel. How come they shirk away from their responsibility? Is there no check and balance or agreement with the hotel if they deny stayzilla the room? What is portal's mechanism if all the hotels listed on its site do not adhere to the pricing shown on portal and misguide and cheat travellers?

                      2. Portal says customer had paid only 30% of booking amount, how can it be confirmed - Wow, , , they provide that functionality on their portal to pay part payment ... The facility is provided by the portal, not by the customer. It is a valid system of payment whether they charge 10% or 30% as advance and rest at hotel... Don't they honour their own system?

                      3. Their customer support executive easily say - we are sorry, we could not book your preferred accommodation because of bla bla reasons... Is saying sorry a solution to the mental agony, discomfort and harassment of the traveller? What about the extra charge a traveller has to pay to the other hotel at last minute apart from mental tension and responsibility of family who is on street at that point of time with no accommodation? What about the entire schedule and other bookings (taxi, site seeing, tourist, onward journey etc.) dependent on your booking?

                      4. Thoughtless and discourteous staff : Their executives do not understand the pain a traveller has to go through such malicious practices. When I was called by their executive on 10th June, she said do whatever you want... meaning they are not bothered at all as if there is no law and justice in our country.

                      This amounts to unethical business practices, service defaults and in violation of Consumer Protection Act, 1986.

                      NEVER BOOK THROUGH STAYZILLA. They are fraud, unreliable and non-credible company.

                      Stayzilla had cancelled my these bookings for 11-12th June, 2016 at Sugati Beach Resort, Diu and Cidade De Diu, Diu.

                                I booked a hotel on 28th may (Saturday) at hotel mercara, coorg. I have made all the travel arrangements like flights and cab. I got a call from stayzilla saying that the booking has been cancelled due to availability constraint and no other hotels are available nearby.

                                I booked the hotel on 23rd of this month. On that day i saw many hotels were available on stayzilla and makemytrip. But now all the hotels are sold out since its one day left.

                                I am really disappointed with the person i spoke today and he was literally on a dontcare attitude. This is really disgusting in a hospitality industry. I never expected.

                                I need justice on this.

                                  I am karthiga jesudas from chennai... I ve booked rooms in taj cottage, ooty from may13 - 15 via stayzilla and i paid 15% advance... The next of my booking somebody from taj cottage called me saying my rooms are already booked so he wanted us to cancel the booking... When i asked about amount i paid already he assured that within that day evening it wil be refunded... From that day i keep checkin the status of my bookings but it just stopped at the status of "refund begins"for the last 15 days... My is booking id:[protected][protected]... Even i tried the contact no which they have given but tats also a wrong no... Totally a fraud network...

                                        I had done my hotel bookings for ooty trip through stayzilla, the order id is[protected][protected] for cliff gk residency in udagamandalam on 23/05/2016. When i called hotel manager (Ramesh) regarding room booking and hotel manager gave information that they have stopped stayzilla tieup before 3 months. So i immediately on 20/05/2016 try to reach customer care but non of numbers were not working so through online the cancellation request was placed through stayzilla website and i got reply from stayzilla your booking cancelled an amount will be credited within 24hrs of working day but still amount has not been credited and still not received any response was neither concrete nor the refund was processed. Although the cancellation policy is clearly mentioned in stayzilla's website that; "refunds :all refunds will be sent back from our side within 3 working days. The amount will be sent from our account within 3 working days and we do not guarantee the time it takes for you to receive it, as it is upto your bank to process the refund".
                                        I would request the forum to resolve the issue and refund my booking amount of rs 2667.
