I was a regular member of the GK2 branch. The branch closed last year and management had promised to refund the outstanding payments to members. Its been 6 months since i have been following up with them but Talkwar does not respond at all. Not even acknowledge receipt of the mail. Calling the customer care is no help at all. They have no idea about whats going on. Organisations like these should not be allowed to operate in the country!

    I Amitav Agarwal joined the talwarkars gym at alipore branch around 25 days ago with a personal trainer for a 1 month programme. In the beigining i was being guided by 5 different trainers as the one appointed was absent or absonding. After raising alarm for a permanent trainer i was appointed a trainer called Rana. After going to the gym i releaised that it will take atleast 6 months to get the body fit so i extended my tenure to 6 months.I have nearly paid the full amount (7500 due) for the entire tenure. I was shocked to hear that till date my registration gym card for daily activities is not prepared. After following up for repeteadly 5 days i am being questioned for where is my card. It get hurts. This is what the system of talwarkar is. I have informed the branch incharge Mr.Bikash to enjoy with the money which i have given at the branch as now one member has being reduced and from today onwards i will start publicity to peple that do not join ur gym.

      Sir, I the undersigned ( Anilkumar Patil...Ex Mayor of Hubli & Dharwad cities ) a member of Talwalkars Hubli since 5 n half years...request u to cancel my membership & refund my membership money.Though I have extreme attachment with Talwalkars gym, with heavy heart I m requesting to cancel my membership... The reasons I m giving u as follows...n I request u to kindly rectify it if possible as I have a attachment with Talwalkars...The reasons are... 1) From more than 1 year almost all trainers started with some other kind of workouts by name super sets.They started using 2 machines at a time for 1 person changing machines after each set by keeping other machine reserved for d same person ( in peak hours also ).This started creating problem to other members... We requested them to complete 1 or more variations on 1 machine as required ( any number of sets as required ) n then go to other machine. 2) Many trainers started leaving the weights all over the gym which started creating problems to other members...so we asked them to please place the weights back to their places after use. 3). As we couldn't get d relief we complained this to GM Mr Rajkumar Jha who keeps coming to Hubli. 4) After complaining to Mr Rajkumar we got good relief ( 80 % ) except for 1 trainer Sharat.We definitely appreciate d efforts from Mr Rajkumar. 5) Now we r facing problem with 1 trainer ( Sharath ).He is using multiple machines at a time for 1 person by keeping other machines reserved & he never keeps d weights back to their places.When we request him not to do so he is very arrogant.We cannot keep arguing with him. Though there r some other small problems..we can adjust to them.But this super sets problem n leaving d weights all around d gym cannot b tolerated...and definitely his arrogant nature can't b tolerated.         FRAUD THROUGH FIXED DEPOSIT SCHEME

        I Mr. Tanmay Buch, a resident of Vadodara, Gujarat and my younger Brother Mr. Udit Buch, we both enrolled under Fixed Deposit scheme offered by Talwalkars Gymnasium, Akota Branch, Vadodara. Under this scheme they offered to pay INR 15000 per person as fixed deposit for one year which would be returned at the end of 1 year. We paid INR 30000 for both o[censored]s.         Dear Sir & Madam, I am Nisha Sachdev from Vadodara Gujarat.my complain is against the Talwalkars gym (Akota) for not refunding me my fixed deposit from last ten months, i had joined the gym in 2012 for one year membership under the scheme of fixed deposit that if we pay 15000 for one year it would be as fixed deposit and would be refundable after one year my membership of gym ended in oct 2013 and from nov 2013 i had given them the request letter for refunding of my fixed deposit i had completed all the necessary procedures for the same and also given them the canceled cheque of my syndicate bank account - vadodara but till date i hadn't received my refund after requesting the management of talwalkars for long time, so i m filling this complaint against the gym please do the needful as early as possible.             I had enrolled in Baroda Branch of Talwalkars before 2 years under FD Scheme of 12 months. After 1 year i had provided them with the request for refund and submitted the FD Receipt to them according to which the amount was to be refunded within max 3 months. But still even after 12 months of submitting the request still the refund amount is not processed and no one is giving proper reply at the branch.

              I took Talwalkar gym membership in 2012 under 10000 Rs. Refundable Deposit skim. Please refund my deposit. Now almost a year and I didn't got my money back. Whenever I try to reach out to them either their phone is not reachable or they will not pick up. And if I go to their office they say its under process and we will call you back in a week. I am following up since last May no proper response. Their are many members who are waiting for these checks. I want to file a complaint against Talwalkars for all these inconvenience and false skim. N I got cheque ...its bounced because of insufficient balance

                On 15th Sept, 2012 I had enrolled into Talwalkars Borivali IC Colony Gym under the membership where I was told that after I complete an year, the fees of fifteen thousand will be reimbursed.

                On 14th February, 2014 I submitted the application (attached) for the refund at the above mentioned branch and was told the check would be available after 3 months in the month of May'14.

                It has been a total of 6 months since I had submitted the application and whenever I try to follow-up on my refund at the center, I am given lame excuses by Ms Yashoda that the request has been forwarded to the head-office but due to a lot of earlier pending checks my application is still in process or due to bulk registrations at the moment the checks are still pending etc.

                Would like to complain about this harassment and get my refund ASAP!!!

                  Hello, I am writing this mail with extreme dissatisfaction and heavy heart, I have been a member of Talwalkars from the very beginning of this gym in jaipur, banipark..Earlier than that i was a member at c-scheme branch but i never came across such staff member in Talwalkars so far. I have made over 25 of my friends & relatives join this gym and keeps on recommending, whenever i get a call from talwalkars asking me to recommend other people everytime they get 2-3 assured memberships just because i have been a member since so many years. Atleast being a loyal customer i can expect some politeness & courtesy from the staff but the limits were crossed, today Mr. Shakti Singh Shekhawat talked in such a rude manner to us, I decided to re-join this gym and worked out yesterday, today when i came he straight away said that ''Kal agar 12000 rupee nai laaye toh gym mat aana'' (if you don't bring 12000 tomorrow don't come to the gym) Is this the way to talk with a client ?? A person managing Talwalkars, banipark branch is he even educated ??? How can Talwalkars being such a reputed brand appoint such people who don't even know how to talk. I have been facing so many issues since last one year after conveying them to manager also i didnt see any improvements moreover Today Mr. Shakti gave such a cheap reply when i told him that there is no one in the female changing room to turn on the steam, he started laughing and said ''madame aap mujhe bula lena, main ON kardunga'' Seriously how can you appoint such cheap people who don't even know how to talk with a women, who can't talk respectfully with a women. Will i call Mr. Shakti in the female changing room ??? how disgusting is that I tried to explain him that you could have said this politely and there is a way o talk with clients, instead of accepting his mistakes he told me that ''i don't have trust in you people, you guys may run after using my gym for 2 days'' seriously, do we belong to a slum that we wanted to see ''WHAT IN LIFE A GYM IS'' ?? we have been using Talwalkars brand from last 5 years and we will run in 2 days ?? I mentioned that there is no maid in the female changing room since 7 months now, he replied to me i can't find a maid if you can search then please do. Is this my task to search a maid for Talwalkars ? As i keep on recommending people to join this gym, 3-4 friends of mine didnt join just because of the rude attitude of Mr.Shakti, they just didnt join because when they came to ask about charges etc Mr. Shakti talked like as if some beggar has come to their gym. On Saturday i went to the gym at 5:10 pm and my brother at around 4 pm, from that time till 7 pm there was not even a single trainer at the gym to guide, when i asked at reception there was a housekeeping guy who said meeting is going on, even if meeting is going on atleast there should be one trainer to guide, Trainers are least interested in guiding they just keep on chatting and guiding clients to convince them to take personal training or buy some product. Two months ago my female friend took a massage appointment at the gym and she gave money, Mr. Shakti didnt cut any receipt of it or gave any receipt to her and kept money in his pocket, Now i don't know what he did ot not but this is what i saw. All other managers are so polite and understanding but Mr. Shakti is truly uneducated and cheap, Mr. Trilok, Mr.Anant and Mr. Manohar has been very helping and understading always but this single person just spoiled all the faith and respect i had for this brand, this year i will leave my membership forever and i can assure you atleast 20 people with leave with me. It will be no pain for me to bring a bad name to this brand atleast in my area as today whatever he said had a very harsh impact on our mental status and it ruined our self respect to the core because of which we are deeply hurt. Now it is my Humble request to you, to appoint some better manager who in true terms know how to maintain customer relationships and knows how to talk and most importantly knows how to manage a gym rather than talking cheaply with clients. Whatever fees the gym charges today becomes unjustified and extorting by the attitude of such uneducated staff member like Mr. Shakti. I already suffered a reputation loss beacuse of the way of talking of Mr. Shakti which is irrecoverable. Just because i feel that Talwalkars is a reputed brand and it will take care of its loyal customers, I hope you will look into the matter at the earliest with a serious concern and appoint someone truly educated.                     Hi! I am a Life Memeber with Talwalkar's Yogi Nagar branch. I also enrolled for a 3 year Personal Trainer Programme. 6 Months back I was aggressively told to extend my Personal Trainer Programme. We were promised a bigger premise in the same vicinity and lured saying the rates would be higher. Now we are told to adjust to far flung Charkop or IC Colony. I would like a full refund of My Life Membership and Personal Trainer fees. Also...

                    My Mom join this gym 3 years back with refundable program of three years. She was supposed to get back her Rs. 30, 000 refund around three to four months back when she applied for it. But now they are refusing to give back her money. And it was not just my mom but many people money is stuck there. They have shifted members from Borivali- Ashok nagar branch to other branches and now they are shutting the branch which we are. They are cheaters and never ever trust them.

                      (consumer grievance)-- Hi, My Wife Priya shah had enrolled to Talwalkars IC colony Branch Borivli West in August 2012. She enrolled for a yearly refundable package of Ten thousand, and as per bond she signed her membership expired in Aug-2013. After that she gave application for refund of money and talwalkers Manager cum trainer MR Deepak Thenge told it will take 2 months for refund, and its already 16th dec now, and we have done end number of followups at branch but no body cares to even look at this matter. I request you to kindly take up this issue urgently, and quickly refund the amount pending, its a pathetic service which i never expected from talwalkars.

                        I am a member of talwalkars Aashiyana branch Lucknow ,I lost my brand new shoes of worth rupees 10000 which is more than one year membership from gym premises and when I asked the branch manager about my loss he said we are not responsible for your belongings and he said that I should keep my belongings in the lockers which were in pathetic conditions locks never worked then I asked him to provide me the material of their policy in which it is written he was unable to provide ,he said it is written in the changing room and in the back of my membership card which was completely a false statement ,he had not given me any membership card even ,I got just a cash receipt against payment made in which nothing was mentioned like this . Now what should I do against this sucking organisations .

                          I have been joined in Talwalkers Gym Adyar Branch chennai before one year back. At the time of joining the customer service is very good. Daily they will ask about the trainer and gym facilities. few days later, no one will take care of the person. We have to go and do the work out on our own. No one will come and help you. with out the help how the person will do the practice.
                          The trainers will come and watch TV in the Gym. They dont have any intention to help at the time of doing the work out. The person need to beg the trainer for the help. After few minutes they wil go to the canteen for refreshments. What the hell they are doing in the Gym.
                          At the time of joining into the gym they wont tell you about the additional charges. If you want to transfer the branch, u have to pay 2k.
                          If we talk to the front desk about this, i[censored] want to take special care, you have to pay 50 k per annum. They are focused only in the money.
                          My personal opinion, Dont go for Talwalkers Adyar branch. I dont know about the other branch.

                            there is no proper lady trainers and girls want to do abs stretches everything at gym hall there is no separate rooms for it. no pantry and worst behavior from management if we ask some questions. there is no proper response from the management for any of our queries. if i wont get any reply for this complaint i will give police complaint and will be giving the case. we are coming just like that, we paid so you [censored]g management suppose to do all the facilities for us.

                              I am a member of the talwalkars gym ulsoor,bangalore since 2010.My mother in law is a founder member of the gym and that motivated me to join this gym. I have had a good experience in the gym until august 2012.I took up personal training at the end of august.After three sessions my trainer hasina has not been coming to the gym ever since.I waited till the end of september and later the gym manager Tanzia replied to me saying that she is not able to track my trainer.She offered me another trainer called shilpa with who i was not convinced even after a demo session.I had taken up the personal training because i wanted to get in shape as my brother i getting married in november first week.But now since i am left with no trainer of my choice and no time, I request you to process my refund.My relationship with talwalkars has been good so far and I hope it remains the same in future.I hope talwalkars does justice to me.

                              ofcurse they will do and have to do justice incase you dont receive justice let me know, i too have been to many gym's know the tricks to get things done amicably.
                              I had a similar experience today .I also signed up for personal training and I`ve not been assigned a personal trainer for over a month now .The gym manager Tanzia has been stalling me too .I dont know who to contact or complain to as the gym refuses to give out any management numbers.

                                the staff in the talwalkar hubli branch are just useless.. the dietecians are just worst. they just take the money and promise to reduce weight. but when i showed the diet chart to other top dietecians , they said that if i follow this diet then i wud never ever reduce weight, in fact suffer with it. the dietecians are themself not fit to look.. the managers keep on changing. i must say the other gyms in hubli like shapes, golds, are thousand times better in the sense of staffs and the equipment's... i wud request all the people who r thinking to join talwalkar to just drop der idea and go for some other gym.. i have even lost my shoes and watch in the gym..

                                  I Kaleem Abbad given Fixed Deposit of Rs 15000 on 31/10/2010 at I.C Colony, Borivali West, Mumbai branch and it got matured on 30/10/2011. I went to redeem/ refund above amount and given the FD receipt on 1/11/2011 that time one person was there who has taken this receipt and said you will get the cheque after one month. Now, again i went there still they don't have proper reply when i am going to get the cheque and still saying i have to check after one month. No proper reply at all.

                                  I don't understand why these people are taking 2/3 months to refund my own money.

After a year of follow (almost 20-30 telephonic calls) at their Baroda (Alkapuri) branch, I got my legitimate deposit by way of a cheque of Rs. 25k (under an FD annual scheme); and that too frustratingly the CHEQUE WAS RETURNED as they don’t have sufficient funds. None of the guys in Baroda (Gujarat) are responding – at least 10-15 telephonic calls. Ah! This is ridiculous. Seriously, thinking to sue them off.
