Worst experience of my life! I have been shifting homes intra and inter city, however the mental torture that is caused by progressive packers movers is just of next level. These are extremely unprofessional and unethical bunch of people.
I trusted #urbanclap and appointed progressive. It was a big disappointment!
Below are the details:
Date: 6 oct 2019
Shifting from mumbai to bangalore
1. Separate container: we paid for separate container (Almost 20% premium), however when the luggage arrived, there were 50+ boxes from other party. Our furniture was unloaded and loaded again in transit for making this adjustment. This must have caused damage to the goods!
This is unethical and unprofessional
2. Delay in delivery - loading happened on 28th aug 2019; the delivery was planned for 2nd oct 2019 (A holiday); however, the goods were delivered on 4th oct. My entire family 5 people (Includes 81 year old father-in-law) stayed in hotel for 3 days.
Reason for delay according to this company is delay in payment. I made 80% payment on 30th oct 2019. They never mentioned that truck dosent leave mumbai if payment is not made. They waited for me to ask the status and then gave this stupid reason.
Unprofessional and unethical again!
3. Delay in pickup:
They delayed the pickup of the furniture to be sent to pune 3 times. Not once they proactively informed us so.
Even the pickup of other goods to be sent to bangalore was delayed by 3 hrs
4. Poor planning and packing skills
The packing material they carried was insufficient, many of the furniture and other items were just loaded in the truck without any protection. This after visiting the home 2 times for planning the movement!
5. Multiple people asking for the payment:
- everyone you interact asks for payment.
- the truck driver that came for unloading didn't unload for 2 hours; he asked for the payment! If its between me and progressive, why i have to deal with the driver. Multiple phone calls needed to resolve this.
- again the car-delivery guy asked for payment.
- then someone unknown from progressive calls and says your 20% payment is pending. All this even before i see my luggage!
6. Damages to furniture and crockery
There wasnt a single furniture item that was withount damage.
Damage was not just aesthetic, it was structural as well.
Regardless of accepting this fact, there were persistent calls for payment.
7. Unresponsive and irresponsible managers
- if you start giving them details of issues you have, they hang-up
- if you ask for the proof when they mentioned that truck dosent move out of mumbai if 80% advance payment is not done, they say you are threatening me and they hang-up
- if you sent whatapp for the proof, they never respond
- not once they proactively call and give you any status. If you deal with them, you will have to run behind them.
To sum it up, my family has to go through a lot of trouble in past few days. There is no monetary compensation that can mitigate that!
