Last year we have refilled the ac gas, but it was leaked within a month or so. Now we have decided to go with uc thinking it could provide us with better engineer and with concrete solution.
1) this year feb 20, 2020. We have booked an uc - ac service and repair service. Service engineer visited and confirmed that there is a leakage and took the outdoor and indoor unit for testing the gas leak.
2) 2 days later he called up and said that outdoor unit has a leakage and i need to replace the coil
3) we agreed to that and he replaced the copper coil and confirmed that everything is rectified and there are no other leakages
4) he came and fit the ac and filled the gas and tested - cooling was not that ok, but he confirmed that after a while it will be ok (Charged 6200 rs)
5) we started using the ac from mid march. Though there was no instant cooling, but it was working fine and lasted for 1 and 1/2 month, then started the problem. Cooling was affected and slowly water was leaking.
So again on may 1st we have a raised a complaint in urban clap, and same engineer was re assigned.
1) he visited and re checked and told me that gas was fine (With checking with the gauge), but he need to refill the gas as outside temparature is high.
2) later he said that r290 gas is unavailable so we need to wait untill he get that
3) on may 7th or 8th, uc executive and service engineer both confirmed that gas is available and will be filling it by tomorrow _ after that niether uc nor service eng called, i have called many times but service engineer never picked my call
4) on may 10th i have raised a complaint, and got a call from uc. I have asked to stop the work and repay my amount back. As they are not providing any service but no responce
5) again on may 12th i have raised the complaint, uc said that since they are not able to get hold of service eng, they have asked me to book a new complaint for imediate assitance and they will refund the new booking amount. And i did the same, since it is urgent for me.
6) new service eng came and confirmed that there is a gas leakage and left - charged 280 rs (Uc never refunded this amount)
7) again the compaint raised, they siad that as gas is not available we could not complete the job, i was very frustrated but understood the situation because of lockdown
8) uc said that may 17 they will finish the job
9) may 18th, job was closed without prior notice - repeatedly raised may complaints but uc never called back.
Conclusion :- service engineer might have replaced the wrong item (Since the same issue occured after 1 1/2 month). Or they might have damaged the ac.
So with all this frustration with uc, i request my money back 6200 + 280 rs.
Urban Company customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
