I write this complaint in order to register my massive dissatisfaction against ACT’s so-called Internet Service, which is nothing but a sham – and also to warn potential buyers against purchasing this fraudulent service.

I was visited by a representative from ACT on 1st August, 2015 (Saturday); who collected from me a payment of Rs. 1700 (for the monthly connection) and all relevant documents.
After this, on 3rd August, I was contacted by the Vendor who called me in the midst of my Office hours and I had to leave my work and come home to ensure that the Connection is fixed. He, however, after almost an hour informed me that there was some technical issue with the server box in my area (1st ‘N’ Block, Rajajinagar) and hence, the Connection could not be made on that day.
I called up the ACT representative immediately; complained as to why he had taken money and documents from me when he should have known that the connection could not be established in my area due to the technical error; and told him to send someone on 8th August 2015 (Saturday) for fixing my Connection. He confirmed the same and also said that the technical problem will be rectified by then.
However, on the said Saturday, the same representative who looked so helpful while collecting the money had blocked my Number after I tried calling him. He blatantly lied to me that someone will be coming to fix the Connection; whereas on being contacted, the same person said that he is on Leave that day. Subsequently, after registering a Complaint (No. [protected]) the next day, i.e. Sunday; I was informed that the connection will be activated by Wednesday.
On 11th August 2015 (Tuesday), I was visited by the Cable–laying person from ACT who informed me that the Engineer would call me the following day and activate my connection. However, on being contacted, I received no response from the Manager as well as Representative, whom I had called from another number (as my own number had been blocked by him – in all violation of professional/ moral ethics). On 13th August (Thursday), I finally could contact the ACT Engineer – but was very shocked to know that the technical issue in my area had not been resolved at all – and on being asked as to how much it would take to resolve it, I received a very light response from the ACT Engineer – “We don’t know Sir… We will see…”
This is tantamount to Fraud on the part of ACT, wherein the Company has not given me the promised Internet Service even after collecting all documents as well as the payment from me. ACT had also been extremely unprofessional in failing to inform me that there were technical problems, because of which the Connection could not be established.
I am contemplating taking legal action against ACT for fraud as well as mental harassment.
