The services of BSNL BROADBAND in Kolkata is worst. Each and everyday we have to face the same problem of link failure(error:678). The complaints done via 1504 (customer care no.) gets attended and corrected after a minimum of 3 to 4 days. Either "server down" or "at maintenance" these are the common excuses of the local telephone offices and executives. Even if they are corrected it only stays stable for 1 day maximum and again the problem persists. If this continues then we people are left with nothing but to shift to the services of other broadband providers. Its an earnest request to you to please see to this matter and it'l be very nice and kid of you if you can resolve this problem as soon as possible.

    I am ten year old cellphone customer of BSNL post paid service.Recently I wanted to change the service from postpaid to prepaid by keeping the same number.I was asked to pay Rs.115 for change of plan.After payment the service started. After few charging I wanted to change to "Lifetime prepaid" service because my usage now was minimal after retirement from service.To my surprise I was asked to deposit another Rs 345 for conversion of plan.BSNL is advertising a new Lifetime Plan only for Rs.20/- ,however the old and loyal customer are required to shell out Rs.345/- for converting their plan to Lifetime.
    This discrepancy was brought to the notice of officers of BSNL at Nagpur but they say "Rule is Rule" perhaps they do not bother about old customer.In fact I can get new Lifetime connection for Rs.20/- but for keeping the same ten year old phone number like a "Pound of Flesh" now BSNL is asking Rs.345/- which I feel is most unfair practice.

      Hi,

      I paid BSNL landline bill today through Online (the amount is 3347/-rs)
      amount is deducted from my account but payment is not updated in the site.

      the payment i made through ABNA amro bank. and the reference number is ( BSNL Bangalore Payment Ref No.:BSN5278429 )

      my phone number is[protected]

      and last month by mistake Phone bill is paid Two times. even in the amount paid it shows double amount of bill. how will u adjust this amount. and how can i claim back my amount.

        I am user of BSNL cellone postpaid from J&K. It is unfortunate that BSNL is charging its customers on checking the unbilled amount (USG to 53333). I smell malafide intension behind it, because when all other service providers like Airtel, Aircel, Reliance and Tata Indicom are providing the service totally free of cost why the BSNL is charging its customers for checking unbilled amount of their usage. It is clear that they do not want transperancy in billing like other service providers.

          We had a broadband service against BSNL telephone connection (Tel No.[protected] years back. As a satisfied BSNL broadband customer in the past that time we opted for a yearly BB scheme with modem purchase option. Surprisingly in the first two months of taking the BB service literally we could not be able to use the broadband due to its continuous connection problem through out the day. We have not been entertained or satisfied even after repeated complaints to the BB customer care. In the meantime the monthly bill came with all the future and past charges and that was too with a lump sum amount (approx. INR 5500). We requested BSNL through several letterers with proper history of the problem to settle down the account after sending a revised bill which should exclude all the future charges. But even after multiple requests (3 letters in 6 months with many meetings) no body has shown any interest to solve the matter except posting few letters informing regular general scheme to activate the disconnected lines but there is no mistake of sending regular usage bills in spite of no use of telephone service since temporarily withdrawn.

          Please help us to overcome the mental distress and anxiety of something unresolved with increasing usage bills.

          BSNL — Temprorly Withdrawn

          Sir/ Madam,

          My Telephone No is[protected], associated with Palladam Telephone Exchange. Some Government Agency has damaged our telephoneline while digging and my telephone is out of order for the past 45 days. Even after several personal visit to the Palladam Telephone Exchange and complaint through mail to BSNL, no action have been taken till date.

          Kindly suggest me the suitable authority to whom should I complain for an immediate action.

          So far, I use to clear the bills on date. I would like to know the reason for not taking any action in this regard. Because, when somebody rang to my number, it says "the connection to number is temporarily disconnected". When they call to my mobile they ask whether I paid my bills or not. It spoils my reputation.

          bbservice.bsnl.in not opening — Withdraw complaint

          I made a complaint about bbservice.bsnl.in not opening. Later I found the solution also and wish to share with all concerned.
          First open BSNL site. Then select BSNL unit ( state/ territory)
          Then search for BSNL Broad Band button and click.Then select check usage.DO NOT FILLUP DATAONE cols. Go down and select Usage Detail Portal.There fillup Portal ID and Password and submit.You will get your BB usage details.
          I regret for registering a complaint without trying all options.

          BSNL — Broadband Usage dispute/payments

          I am resident of Lucknow. Bsnl Broad Band is on my Fathers Name : H U Hashmi, Phone Number[protected],
          o behalf of my father, I subscribe for the internet broad band Plan of 900+ unlimited usage. But by the mistake of BSNL staff i have been subscribed for limited usage plan .. and after 2 month when i recieved the bill of above 18000/-.
          when asked for the form that i submited at the time of subscribtion and the plan, BSNL officials auable to present the actual form ... this dispute is about a year old now Land line has been diasconnected. officials are not cooperating and no proper responce from them.with out usage bill are piling up and addon intrest is also piling ...
          please help me to resolve the problem.

          BSNL Broadband — WITHDRAWAL OF CONNECTION

          Dear Sir,

          This is to bring to your notice that despite of paying the bill amounts on time for using BROAD BAND of BSNL the connection for the same was withdrawn. Because of this carelessness on BSNL part I was not able to use the internet and some of my urgent work couldn't get accomplished on time. I therefore need a justification for the same and compensation (if any) so that this kind of mistakes should not be repeated for others.

          I suggest the concerned department to confirm to the consumer on his fault (if any) before penalizing or withdrawing the connection

            I took d 299 combo plan 4 broad band usage in August 2009. suddenly i've recieved my jan 2010 bill of 2287 rs. i've been charged 277 for each month as fixed charges since aug. i dunno that scheme didnt specify anythin. i've rcd n payed bill of approx 300 every mnth. so y dese charges. my bb usage has nvr crossed 1gb limit. wat should i do. ?? bsnl call centre ppl have no idea. lekha adhikari says these r being added 2 all bills. but y? r othrs wid same scheme rcving same sort of bill . but y? bsnl page shows no such charge.

              I registered for a new connection of landline and broadband of BSNL in JP nagar bangalore Details below. I got tired of calling their office and am getting vague reasons all the time. I was told that there was cable shortage and pair shortage while i really checked that a cable of 6 line capacity located next to my house is used for only 3 connections so far. I find these excuses very lame to believe. I want a refund of my 500 rupees deposited with them.

                    20% REBATE BEING NOT ALLOWED ON MONTHLY BILLING

                    I am a very old customer of BSNL. earlier I was having TATA BROADBAND services. However, I was lured by BSNL that their charges are less and services are better . In addition being a PSU staff I will also get 20% rebate on my monthly billing. I applied for the same in the month of july 2009 and the same was registered in BSNL OFFICE (ALAMBAGH, LUCKNOW) ON 4.8.09. thereafter I met each and every official of ALAMBAGH Exchage/lodged so may complaints toGM's Office, met DGM SHRI Mishra at Alambagh Office, sent sms to GM/DGM but still 20% discount is not being given on monthly bills. Kindly do the needful or I will left with no option but to switch overtosome other service provider.

                      I have applied for disconnection of my landline no.[protected] in december 2009 first week and i was assured by the exchange staff that every formality is over and i will receive the refund in maximum a month's time. but almost 3 months are over now but still the refund is due to be received. furthermore to add to our problems BSNL is sending us bills for current months also when we dont have the telephone...

                      I am trying to find the bill for this month in the website www.maharashtra.bsnl.co.in/ssa/kalyan. The site is found not working and so couldn't find the same. Please let me know when this will be resolved and I can make ON Line payment.
                      Same complaint from my side . I was reqularly paying my landline bill through internet but since last fifteen days I am not getting bsnl kalyan website and hence I amnot ;lin a position to make kpayment through internet. Please do the needful
                      I have been paying my moms bill using the internet. and for the past 15 or 20 days this site is down. in today age of internet the service provided by BSNL can be a far cry from even been pathetic. I hope BSNL resolves the issue and get this site working. The site being down is helping bsnl ratings
                      I have availed free SIM against my Landline No.2230348 under 'Pryri Jodi Scheme' during February, 2011. Now I got a message to the effect that if I refill for Rs.110/-, I will get a talk time worth Rs.100/- and validity extension for another six months.

                      For getting the Top Up Voucher, I approached the QCS of Khadakpada yesterday. But unfortunately, it is not available with them and guided me to go to Kala Talao. Why an organization like BSNL is not keeping stock of refills in such a location, where thousands of people are staying.

                      Concerned authorities may perhaps take necessary action for stocking all sorts of Prepaid products in all the offices of BSNL, which will help to increase their revenue in the first instance, as also help the consumers for saving money, effort and time.

                          I bought 3G sim card in coimbatore, and it is working only in Gandhipuram. I guess BSNL has equipped 3G in only one tower in the entire coimbatore district. I hope by the end of 2010, 3G services will be available in the other important areas in coimbatore. When i bought the sim card, the BSNL franchise misguided me that, it will work everywhere in coimbatore city. And before buying i asked the BSNL customer care, and they told me that BSNL 3G is enabled for 30Kms from the city (Gandhipuram). To my shock, i been checking it all around coimbatore after buying, it is working only in Gandhipuram. And now when i called the customer care people, they told me to wait for some month before 3G is available in other areas. I would like request BSNL authorities to look into the problems, and make sure the franchises dont give false promises.

                          As for as i have checked, it is working in Gandhipuram till Sivanandha colony. And the signal goes off in saibaba colony. And it works till railway station, and in ukkadam it comes back to 2G. I stay in Kovai pudur and there is absolutely no tower. And there is no 3G signal in anywhere in mettupalayam road.

                          Hey now it works in kovaiputhur with signal strength of 1 or 2 bars. If you are in outskirts of kovai puthur, you might need to keep the data card near/our the window. You are lucky if your windows have metal frames.

                          It work beautifully in ramnathapuram
                          i am using 3g data card. but no signal and power speed and it is only 250 kbps for 3.2mbps data card. when asking in exchange they say that i have resell it some other. and i have lost my 4200 for this one. because i have paid for 6 months together believing they will provide good services... very funny bsnl... they proove that they have not changed yet!!!. hope in near future atleast they will change and provide good service

                            sir my bsnl broadband (unlimited) speed is 28.8 kbps, pleas give me a solution
                            Increase Speed of BSNL Broadband connection
                            Setting DNS For Your Connection
                            One of the major problems with BSNL Dataone Broadband connection is the DNS servers they provide by default. Most of the time they are very slow and sometimes they fail to respond. I noticed that I am starting to spend a significant amount of time in DNS resolution with Dataone connection, often it is larger than the time it takes to actually get the reponse. Here is a simple solution to significantly speed up your DNS resolution.

                            Open up the network connection profile and edit TCP/IP settings. In the DNS server address fields, specify the following DNS server addresses: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
                            Disconnect the connection and then connect again. You are done.

                            This specifies third party DNS servers which are significantly faster than BSNL Dataone’s DNS servers.

                              i have been using broadband service for the last one year. but sadly, i am not getting the kind of service, i was expecting. frequently i get disconnected while surfing the net. i can not remember the last time i surfed the net uninterrupted for one hour. in every 10 to 15 minute the dsl light on the modem either start bleeping or just goes out leaving me disconnected and as a result frustrated. i am not sure if i could complete this letter without having to redialing for connection once. so you can understand my plight. i have complained to the concerned dept, the local fault centre many times regarding this. but , without any result sir.. please do something about it sir. b.n. biswal

                                my name is vinod kumar.i m using bsnl's prepaid connection.MY NO IS [protected] company started chat service on my no and deduct money from the account.they did it before but i took it lightly. now they again activate the same and i tried a lot to conatct with customer care but they gave some no and told to send sms but it cost me rs 2 per sms but solution isn't there.i m totally harrased.plz give a solution for the same

                                Please bar SMS coming to my mobile no. [protected] especially from BT57007 BT55888, BA 54000, and BT 57007, BT53030 and other advertising agents.THESE R DISTURBING MY BUSINESS SESSION & DIVERTING MY MIND.
                                I get about 2 a day from these numbers even though I have registered on the BSNL Do not call registry.

                                  BSNL. i have changed my plan from 500 to 750 . They are not responsible to clear our queries of bill they have charged 1742 Rs and i am asking for clarifying why they are transferring call from here to there.

                                  There staff should have answer of my question that why bill is this much and what are the charges they have appliyed and why appliyed.. insted of they are saying that call on this number if i call on that number they are saying that call on this number.

                                  very bogus services...

                                    Since the last four months @ Rs.30/- per month has been deducting from my BSNL mobile being connection No. [protected] for stating to be subscribed wap daily blessings. In fact I never subscribed anything for such. Moreover, for dialing *456*00# indicates that " No service active". In this context, I have contacted with the customer care of BSNL inquiry in several times and according to their direction all the formalities tested but all are in vain. No fruitful result came out. On 13.02.2010 after deducting Rs. 30/- 4th time from my mobile balance account, I have again contacted with the BSNL Customer care who has told that wap daily blessings is not their registered site. So they can nothing to do in this regard unless registering/ forwarding my complain.

                                      on 12 feb near about 11 pm , a message from[protected] saying (you will be charged rs 20 for download) and deducted that amount form my balance whereas i have not downloaded anything .the same started again and lots of similar messages came, every time deducting money form my balance .till now they have deducted rs 180( approx.) .and i am out of balance right now.
                                      on calling costomer care they are not picking calls .
                                      right now my balance is rs 8 .and still it is suspended temporarily.

                                      I ( prepaid mobile no. [protected])have not subscribed to Caller tune service of BSNL prepaid . Why should Rs 20 be deducted on 21 Sept. 2008. Unsubscribe immediately and donot deduct without my permission.

                                      I AM USING BSNL PREPAID, AND ON 31sT DECEMBER MY MOBILE BALANCE IS Rs4.01.

                                      I have Mobile no [protected]. On 19.07.09 at 4.12.34 pm I received a message from[protected] "Thanks for downloading animation SexiestBikny. You have been charged 020 Rs”. How BSNL can deduct amount from my account because I did not downloaded any thinks. I was log a call to BSNL Customer Care (call log no.[protected] on 21.07.09 at 6:30 pm. But still they are not responding. Please reverse these charges & in future do not deduct any charges unless I consent for it. Please advise me what I do for this.
                                      As my prepaid mobile no. [protected] was lost, las when i bought duplicate sim balance was less that means someone has used it .so, i need the call details from 22 sept 2009 to 24 sept 2009.
                                      Deduction of Rs 25/-
                                      I have Mobile no [protected].From last 2 days I received a message from 1255025 "Dear subscriber, keep using the vas service & have FUN for the charged fee of rs 25.00”.Why this happening while i haven't subscribed for anything in bsnl.Please deactivate this service immediatly otherwise suggest a way to deactivate this service.i have been charged rs25 each day.This is not done. please.. please deactivate.
                                      I'm not able to unsubscribe CGYAN services from 53030. They deduct Rs. 5 usually... Plz help. The format they gave was UNSUB CGYAN5 to 53030 but I got a confirmation message that the format was wrong...

                                      BSNL — monthly deduction for no reason

                                      Rs 30/- is monthly deducted from my account even after subscribing in DND. have spoken to customer care at 1909 but they also have no answer why this amount is deducted but ensures of deduction. BSNL is the worst network i have ever come across.
