i got a call today 19th may 17 stating that they offer loan against life insurance policy @ zero rate of interest
i was contacted by a Delhi person Akash [protected] from HDFC bank
then sandeep saxena [protected] / +[protected] and (rahul)[protected]
deepak tiwari insurance person.
above 3 people told me not to say any thing that the hdfc bank are offering loan against policy as the insurance people ask for the commission on your loan

i verified with my friend and he said this is a fake call..as no such offers are available
I took a step back and told them that i will submit documents in the branch of hdfc bank

I got a call from [protected] saying that the caller works for HDB Financial service which is a subsidiary of HDFC Bank Ltd. He offered me loans @ 5.9 ROI per annum against the mortgage of the insurance policy from HDFC. He said I can take 15 lakhs as personal loan and for which I will have to pay the premium of INR 1 lakhs per annum and no loan interest or principal or any kind of instalments for the loan amount, only insurance premium has to be paid. I smelled the rat and refused to take the bait.

You guys stay away from these FRAUDS.

I got call from HDFC mortgage department from shikha sharma with this no. +[protected] she told me that they have loan proposal against policy and I took 56000 policy from Bharati AXA and Future Generali and now they block my all contact details.

Now iam waiting for police cancellation once I get my back then I will file complaint against HDFC bank I have all call recording.

Wow ..i see the posts here as far back as 2013 and i was about to be duped today. Some woman purpoting to be from "HDFC Financial Loan" department called me an hour back and offered me a Policy against loan. She said that I just had to pay the emi till the tenure and once the policy matures the bank will take the loan amount and the interest of 5% and the rest is mine. I bought what she was selling and someone is suppose to call me I came across this forum whiile I was trying to Google more about this Poilcy against loan scheme. A million thanks to you guys for saving me from upcoming nightmare!!

I also received a call from [protected]-HDFC Rajesh Verma Finance Department (HDFC Regional Office Noida Sector 15). He offered me a Overdraft Loan of Rs.10 lacs with 0% Interest. I need to pay Rs. 142857/= installment upto 7 years against life insurance policy. I told that I do not have any policy than they ask to take new policy. So they give my mobile no to some of their executive. He had given me following plan detail.

Then Mr. Verma ask me to visit personally to branch for Life Insurance Policy. I request him to send any Agent at my place. He told that all agents are busy so you need to visit at branch. So I said send any agent on any day as I am not in any urgency for Loan. So he told me that they will not come here you have to visit. So clearly denied that I am not interested in your product. By that time I came to know on this site. So I am also sharing my experience.

On 20/11/2017 evening I got a call on my father's Mobile from Avinash Saxena saying he is from HDFC Life Insurance Finance Branch head office In Barakhamba Rd, New Delhi, Delhi 110001. How he started the conversation was whether I was in need of Loan. The obvious question I asked was the interest rate. He replied it was 3.2-4.5%. He even mentioned that My father is a govt official and also mentioned my address. I found offer very lucrative like others. So I proceeded with the conversation. He said that I will have to make a policy of EMI 35000 per year for 7 years and I will get double the amount in 10 years after maturity. He said I will get a finance(loan) of 10 times of 35000 i.e. 350000. So the net amount I will get be
Maturity Amount-350000-Interest(12000 approx he said)
Since He was not asking for any personal details I thought It to be true. Because this was first of its kind. What he said was I need to send documents to HDFC Life Dibrugarh Branch. So I Though It should be true because In my own state how such scam will be done since He was calling from Delhi. I proceeded with the offer since he said the offer only for govt officials and only 17000 forms for Assam has been allotted And If I don't need It will be proceeded to next one. I said I am ready to proceed to with this insurance.
Next day i.e. 21/11/2017 again he called me many times and gave his both personal and professional no.
I started believing. I checked with Hdfc website and customer care and they said that Such scheme are available but finance isn't. When I contacted him he said This finance scheme is only for Govt officials handpicked by them. If I make a similar policy from Local Office The agent will put his agent code and Get commission and I will not get the offer. So I fully believed in his words and decided to ship the documents ASAP as he said else He will not be able to proceed with the Finance. I shipped the documents from My local post office and shared him the Tracking No as he asked. (Shipped at 3:00Pm)

1. Pan Card
2. Voter ID and Driving License
3. 35000 cheque and and blank cheque(for credit of loan account)
The most important part begins now. He called me at evening 5:30 and said he will transfer the call to loan department head who was an aged man(P Srivastav) and Asked me to patiently listen to his words. When I was transferred I felt something different with him and then he shared me the Loan Id. I realized how can I get my loan id even they didn't receive my documents. (First Suspect) and after sometime he started sharing his personal details. He was retired at 60 Years but HDFC life requested to work more and now he is working at 64 years. (Second Suspect) He shared details about His Elder son(surgeon at Appolo and has dispensery ) and daughter also a doctor and Younger son a engineer(Third suspect why would bank people share so much details even if I am not asking. Do they really have so much time to share such details with an unknown person over the phone even for the first time). Then The Trick I used Which Proved my suspect
I asked My elder sister is an unemployed graduate and is currently in search of Job. He said he would immediately call The HR manager and surprisingly His call connected in 1 seconds and said me that Job is there with salary of 25-30K per month and said for girls it's too low. How come such salary be too low without knowing Her educational qualifications. He asked me to share my sisters CV via mail and when I asked the email id he started ignoring and talked about my loan
The loan number shared with me was asked not to be shared with anyone and should immediately call Avinash Saxena If I receive any call from agent.
This made my suspect 90% percent sure. Immediately I checked on Google about "HDFC life Loan Scam" and landed on this and https://www.facebook.com/HDFClife/posts/[protected] page. I called him and asked Mr Upadhyay and he said to get the documents back Immediately back. I tracked the product and showed at the National Sorting Hub at Guwahati Panbazaar.( 6Km away) In no time Me and My father reached there at 7:00Pm and Fortunately We reached there at about 10 minutes earlier before it was sorted for Dibrugarh. I finally received it and now they are waiting for it to get delivered. I asked them not to update it returned on the tracking details.
Lesson I learned: Not Believing on Truecaller's Scam Notification
Not Searching about scams on Google before shipping it.
Also IF HDFC would provide loan at 4.5 % interest rate why would banks like SBI Charging 12.5% and how can even that banks will exist.
Also Make sure not to share PAN Card if it is not necessary. It's most important documents.

I have also receive similar call from the STANDERS CHARTER BANK, They r offering loan at the interest rate 6.5 against the hdfc life policy worth 50000 and loan is confirmed after 15 days of payment of 50, 000 .

and the loan amount is 1000000.

Hi guys, thank you for your comments. Today I received a call for personal loan. I really feel surprise to know about the offers. I heard all the details and informed her to call me tomorrow morning. But really thanks to all of you. Tomorrow I tried to record her call and give it to police.

Today, I got a call of similar nature. Wherein the person said that I can buy the Insurance Policy from the following company's, but it should be direct without an agency code.

HDFC LIfe, Bharati Axa, Future Generali and Exide??

He claimed that I can be provided a loan for 10 times the yearly premium. He said that at the end of the period, the maturity benefits will come to Reliance and they will provide me with a written document that I am free from the loan. He was very convincing and on asking why the company is doing so, he said that they are trying to increase their Loan Portfolio as they have applied to be a bank and this is their way of increasing business and customers inspite of making some losses.

It sounded plausible due to new business policy of burning cash to gain customers, so, Unfortunately, I fell for it and provided him my DOB & Pan No. He immediately checked my CIBIL Score and said I am eligible for 12 Lakhs from Reliance Capital. The CIBIL Score, he read out was correct, so it seemed official. Now when I look back, the ease with which anyone can check CIBIL score of an individual with all details of his accounts and credit cards is alarming to say the least. If someone has your name, DOB & PAN Number, they can access anyone's CIBIL.

Now, I am worried that he has my details and can see which Credit CArds, Bank accounts, etc which I have and try to misuse the same. Do not know how to protect from the same.
Can anyone on this Forum advice?

Would it be prudent to call them to collect documents and call the cops at the same time and get their personnel arrested?

I also got similar call just now. I asked them what is the guaranty that after making payment of policy, you will provide me loan. Can I contact in a local branch. She said I am calling you from Delhi Branch. Whatever happen will on this recorded line. So I asked them to submit my documents at your local branch. They denied the proposal. It means it is all fake. They have a tie up with insurance companies. It is kind of making people pay for policy, even if they don't want it on account of loan.
