hello and good evening everybody.my name is rajdeep singh.i have ported from vodafone to airtel a month ago in my city.everything went fine.i got services well till 20 days and after that my sim is made out of service as they ask for resubmission of documents. i went to the retailer and submitted it again.the airtel official guys who collected my documents also sighned it and took it.but my sim is yet not active its almost 15 days . the distributor is called many a times by the retailer he always says it will be done by tomorrow its my most important official number!! i need help . the retailer gave me the number of that distributor and i called him but still the problems remains my airtel number where am facing the problem is - [protected] distributor number is - [protected] i would really appreciate if anybody help me out am in serous trouble Was this information helpful? | |||

You are 100% correct. Airtel is the No.1 worst service provider in India.
Same problem for we all.. They don't allow us to port out.
Even Nodal Officer is trying to fool us.
High call rates, bad offers, poor customer service.
Other providers (TATA Docomo, Uninor, ...) giving good offers & services.
We have to stop our friends from taking/port in Airtel in future.
You have to send your complaints to TRAI

AirTel — MNP issues
I had requested for MNP ([protected]) from Airtel to DOCOMO. DOCOMO did the relevant documentation and checking and arranged the new SIM card. Airtel rejected the MNP request on grounds of outstanding payment of 44 paisa whereas has Rs 1500 as security deposit with them.The whole MNP seems to be a sham especially for post paid customers with service providers not allowing the MNP citing some flimsy reasons.
The government / TRAI should have zero tolerance in such matters and penalise the providers for non compliance.

Idea Cellular Services. — Not Respecting MNP
Hi,Due to poor signals strength and poor service I have decided to port to Airtel from Idea. I have sent the request message to Idea with correct format 'PORT MyMobileNumber' but I didn't receive any Unique Porting Code(UPC), so I have talked with so called Customer Care and they said that I didn't the code properly. And they start asking why am I porting and started convincing. I said that I have decided and sent the sms again as they asked to send again. Again they didn't send UPC. Again I called them and this time they again started convincing. I strongly said that I want to switch to Airtel and want UPC, they said that for that they need 24 hrs as they want to send one email to upper hierarchy. Even they refused to give complaint id for the complaint 'Not receiving UPC'. I have asked for the employee id of the person with whom I am talking for further proceeding, even that was rejected.
let me check how can I proceed further...
I just want to post my experience with Idea Cellular service.

i have registered for mnp on 25 of jan from airtel to reliance gsm but up til now they had not converted my no. My mbl no.is [protected]
Since I am Having airtel Connection [protected] Since from 5 year , Because of Some Problem i Am Porting my airtel number to some other network. In this regard i submit my application with legal ID Proof and Photo to Airtel through new operator. I requested for a port id sending SMS . They sended me port id Through 1901 Unique ID No. (AX331187) . This ID Number Mentioned in my application. after few hours airtel people called me and asked me for reason of changing my network. I Explained them about their bad service, after one day they Send me SMS through 1901 that my request for porting is rejected due to some legal reason. But I Inquired with the new operator regarding this matter. they told me airtel people mentioned reason that we are given good offer to the customer . so that customer retained our(Airtel) Service. but this Very Wrong from Airtel, giving two separate reason in two places and Creating Problem For the Customer . So I am requesting with u i dont want to retained with Airtel Network I wanted to go to some other network. pls help me in this matter.And do the needful as soon as possible

2)TRAI doesn't hold this service providers for any such issues caused to customer ,if we are not ready for MNP .why to showoff that we will PROMISE to upgrade in 7 days which we are totally INCOMPETENT of?
3)Finally ,let me if Airtel doesn't require me to upgrade ,i don't care and neither i respect Airtel for this .I will be happy with my already stupid service operator-Vodafone

i have been using airtel connection [protected] i had opted for mnp got the code submited the required documents to idea but the service provider airtel has not given stating reasons as contractual obligation this procedure was tried twice and now when i wanted to get mnp code airtel is not releasing the code kindly do intiate action aganist the service provider or do advice any other sort of legal action
I am Shashank patel from Lucknow. I have filed my 2 application in the first week of February for the MNP of my 2 numbers, [protected], [protected] in Airtel because i am facing lots of problem of signal week. i am a HR of a Management Institute and my phone is becoming a problem for me. i have called lots of time to the airtel customer relationship office but all the employer are saying that file is on process. 1 month is going and the file is in process......
airtel is just becoming like a government office where only process go on..
result are not....
i think that this MNP is not working. i have to take new SIM, because in one month i can distribute my new number in my network around india. there is none other choice.

"Your port in request for the mob num [protected] has been rejected by your service provider due to legal reasons -BSNL"
There is no problem with the BSNL side, they told Airtel had provided a "contract obligations to my number" .I already completed 3 years in Airtel and there is no legal issues as of now. Please let me out of Airtel , I need to be with BSNL 3G.
I had submitted all the documents correctly. My porting Id is AT849792. Please do needful. I need to migrate from Airtel

The nodal officer called me and told to re-generate the UPC code. I tried for more than 3 times and after some hours in got the same UPC code as above.

I have given my documents thrice to tata indicom office regarding my mnp but airtel officers are not processing any requests. I caleed customer care but they are cancelling my call . When i spoke to the supervisor she said for there is no reason for rejecting your mnp i will request a call back to you from my officer to you which never came and my upc code was rejected thrice though the so called airtel cutomer care confirmed it right . my number is [protected]

This is Prakash i was planning to Port my no. MNP from TATA DOCOMO to Airtel, i called Airtel customer care one of executive gave me a tariff A-A 10ps /min and other local & National 30ps /min and 100 L&N SMS free a day.
He asked me to go any Airtel outlet with all Doc and UPC code, when i visit for the same am sacred hearing that they dont have any such plan at all and the executive was so unprofessional behaviour and talk "pethatic" i just walk back without migration.
I request the concerned authority to take strict action on such people for misguideing the customer and wasting there precious time and spoiling the company reputation.
So friends dont belif on such scheme of such operators and waste your time.
