[Resolved]  Airtel Postpaid — Complaints on "Airtel / Postpaid Mobile Bill "

This is Santosh Chile from Mumbai , a past holder of Airtel Postpaid Connection Number[protected].
On 12/10/2007 , i have disconnected my cell number[protected] for some particular reasons . I got a call from customer care regarding the same and they gave me a complaint id 14832805 dated 12/10/2007. After that i got a bill of Rs 85/- which i have already paid in cash to Airtel executive who had come to my house to collect the bill . Again in this month i 've got a bill of Rs . 380 /- for no reason . Today i again called up the customer care of Airtel for the same , again i got a complaint id 15262846 dated 17/1/2008. I am not able to understand the situation when i have already gave up my connection and also paid the necessary charges .

I request you to resolve my problem as soon as possible .

airtail postpaid — credit amount not refunded

my cell no is [protected]
i converted my postpaid connection to prepaid.
my account no is[protected]
as per last bill received my credit balance in the a/c is 328.88
bill no[protected] dated 12.12.2008
your satara arc told us that u will receive the amount by demand draft.
now almost six months r passed.
how bmuch time it will take to get my money.
previously for one bill complaint i received fantastik & fast responce for it.
shalli expect the same again.

Airtel Postpaid Connection — Billing 0f 9906078054 /9906078084

The bill shows that I have activated the GPRS and (6 ) Sms cost 775/- whereas I have not use both the services. Inspite now I can hear some others also picking the phone and talking in Orya.

Airtel Postpaid — Wrong internet charges

This is the complaint sent to Airtel Nodel officer, Delhi:

Hi,
I am using Airtel mobile ([protected]) for almost 1.5 years now.
Earlier i was using Airtel Live for internet on my handset however to save
on surfing charges, during the month of March, 2009 i requested for
activating Rs. 99 GPRS plan on my number.
The same was activated in due course of time and i got in touch with
customer care people at 12118 for GPRS settings.
They informed me about the settings and i did the same actions and started
surfing.
However when bill dated April 04, 2009 was generated i surprised after
looking at internet usage charges of about Rs. 1454.20 (excluding service
tax) which according to my GPRS plan (Rs. 99 plan) the charges need to be
only Rs. 177.
I am contacting on customer care since than and has been informed that i
was using internet through Airtel Live not GPRS thus charges are high. This
was due to my handset has some different settings which 12118 executive did
not know and he informed me wrongly. They also gave me assurance for
resolving the same in 48 hours and those 48 hours are still running from
April 07, 2009 to till date.
I am simply requesting you to explain me my mistake in this and why should
i be penalized by almost Rs, 1400 (including service tax). Also, they are
offering me Rs. 250 discount in next bill against my loss of almost Rs.
1400.

And there is reply in one line tha:

This is with reference to your email dated 12 May 2009 regarding your Airtel Mobile Number [protected].

We would like to inform you that the charges lived in your account are valid as you have browsed through Airtel Live services and not through Airtel GPRS. Therefore, we regret the infeasibility to reverse the amount.

We hope this information helps.


This was already explained to me on phone also and nothing different.

Airtel Postpaid — Barring service even after the payment has been made

Hello
I have been using Airtel for a while and had a very bad experience with them. My credit limit is 1200 and i have made an interim payment for 1000 Rs by cheque which is not acknowledged by Airtel and they have barred my service for a day. And i haven't received my monthly bill till today as on 23rd of May, which is supposed to be in the 1st 7 days of the month.

And on top of all that they still call me from Chennai and their customer care people are not even aware of what is happening.Harassed by calling me up. Customer care executives dont even know how to talk or communicate properly. Pathetic service.

I am cancelling there service as early as possible.

Airtel Call Home Plan — Rental taken more than Once for the same period

Referring to their plan to call to India.

They advertise it is 1cent/min it is not so they have a rental with the plan which makes it 5.2cents/min.

Suppose you take a plan of $6.49 with 15 days validity on May 1st you will have a talk time of $2.5.
now suppose you finish your talk time on may 2nd you will have to again pay $6.49 and you will only get $2.5 talktime...Then why did I pay rent of $4.00 with first recharge.

This means they are taking money in the form of rental $4.00 for what ???
so 250 min for the mobile with $6.49 and 125 min for landline for the same plan ...

SO NO SEE THEIR CHEATING WHY THEY ARE ADVERTISING AS 1CENT/MIN ...
IT IS NOT 1CENT/MIN BUT IS 5.2CENTS/MIN FOR LANDLINE

Bharti-Airtel - Postpaid SIm — Bharti Airtel - Non activation postpaid SIM - Refund of Rs.500/- thereof.

Dear Sir,
I am residing at Koradi, Distt; Nagpur, (Maharashtra State), the postpaid sim received very late i.e. (on[protected] than the Cheque No. 532154, dt.22/11/2008 for Rs.500/- given. The complaint lodge on dt.[protected]. Then followed to the not responding FAX –[protected] / 12) to New Delhi. Again the same registered complaint to the Bharti Airtel New Delhi office. Then e-mail to the Nodal Officer, Airtel to New Delhi & Mumbai also. But till the date I have not got refund the Registration Fee of Rs.500/-Instead of that, the bill of Rs.123/- is received on my address. Please give the Justice.

Airtel — Non refund of advace paid rent after conversion from Postpaid to prepaid

I have got this connection under Post-Paid plan
After 1 or 2 years I had applied convert this no to Pre-Paid plan during conversion the airtel members
asked me to deposit one mont rent in advance and said that the compny will returm the balance amount after bill adjustment.
Till now I have not received any amount.
after so many reminders the said that they had send me the Chque of approx Rs. 250/-
But I have not received any such chque.

i mr bharat sharma reqest u to please look upon the matter...
i bought your digital tv on 2 may 2009 with the package of 1850 Rs which claim to be free for or be working for next three months..
BUT just after three days it stopped working...
i tried more than 100 times to ur call center but they were simply dodging or ignoring me..
After 15 days finally one o[censored]r call center executive pick the phone and he says that my plan has been automatically changed to 2100Rs that means i was having negetive balance.He suggested me to add more money to continue the services, WHICH WAS SIMPLY NOT TOLERABLE..
But i was helpless to do anything else i added 100Rs more to my account...
Even after that its not working and showing that my card or subscription is not authorised...
IS IT A COMPANY OR JOKE, AS I FEEL LOOTED BY YOUR COMPANY PLEASE DO SOMTHING OR SUGGEST ME THE WAY TO RETURN THE DIGIBOX SO THAT I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK.

Airtel Post Paid — Refund of Amount

Dear Sir,
This is with respect to the unnecessary amount that has been auto-debited from my account after closing my airtel postpaid connection. I raised a connection closure request on Dec-19-2008 as I was moving out of the country. To close the connection it has taken around 3 months. Apart from it airtel used to debit the minimum charge from my account.
Finally after a lot of emails and phones to airtel customer care, I was able to close my connection. How ever the extra amount was not refunded back. They sent the refund cheque to my postal address in bangalore when I had clearly mentioned them that I will be moving out of the country.


In further communication, they requested to give my local frineds address so that they will be posting the cheque to him directly but this has happened around a couple of months back.

Apart from it they debited Rs: 60.18/- from my account in the last month. So, I had come to a conclusion that this should be escalated to a higher level and am writing this mail to you with immense level of frustration.

I had spent thousands of rupees to make ISD calls and speak to the customer care.



Please resolve this issue as early as possible

Airtel Postpaid — poor service from airtel postpaid

hi,
i am facing problem with cross connection with airtel postpaid. I logged a complain months before .
the problem is not resolved and customer care exucative always saying your problem gas been resolved.
I wanted to talk to nodal officer and they even not providing contact number and email-id.now i am help less and going to close the connection (having no more option).Is there anyway to give your complain if it is not resolved by the customercare people???

Airtel Postpaid — Deactivation of mobile number

I am working in Reliance industries ltd. Jamnagar. I have taken the CUG post paid connection in Airtel ( [protected] ). I have given the address proof where i was living and i was about to transfer from bachelor accomodation to family accomodation. While investigation of address by Airtel staff it was found the address changed & he called me, then i told abt the address change and also agreed to submit the new address proof . I have again submitted the new address proof to Airtel office in Reliance Motikhavdi premisses on friday i.e. on 19th Jun'09. I am regularly following up with the staff in airtel office as well as in airtel customer care centre but there is no positive response from them.

I am also a corporate post paid sim card ( Mobile no: [protected] ) holder of Airtel for last two year.

I am helpless now in this regard in getting activation of my mobile number ( [protected] ).

Your help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Airtel Postpaid — Unnecessarily Barring Outgoing and Incoming Calls

This is with the reference of my number [protected] that Airtel have barred my Incoming and Outgoing calls today i.e. 29th June 2009 from 11pm. When approached to the customer care wherein I spoke to Mr.Manjunath at 11.22 pm his interpretation was that the barring was done due to non-payment of my airtel bill. For the same I gave the reference of Payment which was done, he accepted that they have recieved the payment and it was the mistake from their side for the barring of my outgoing and incoming calls.Further when asked to Mr.Manjunath as can I part my views to his superior his answer was that his boss Mrs.Preethi was online busy with some other custumer and that I will be getting a call to my number within 2 hours.
Further to the billing complaint I have been often charged for my airtel to airtel number SMSs every month though I was given an offer of 1000 sms to any airtel number in karnataka every month.

Airtel Postpaid — Even after paying the bill my outgoing is barred

Hello,

This is Santosh Prabhu, I have got a Postpaid number [protected], for which i had a due of 1835/-, and i was called from customer care executive and was advised to make the payment within 2 days on 1st of July 2009. So made the Payment of 1800/- at airtel franchise ay Valabhnagar and have got the Receipt number as well.

Then on 2nd July midnight 12, my Outgoing has been barred. If i call upto airtel customer care and inform them about this. they are telling me to wait until 22nd July 2009 and hanging up the call. This happened on 2 occasions. so i have informed the second advisor i spoke to that if the service is not restored in 30 mins i will not make the Payment of the remaining amount due. I have an emergency situation in bangalore for which i need to make a call and if this is the attitude showed by airtel then my attitude tells me not to make the payment. If required will go to court but will not make the payment.
