[Resolved]  Genesis Hospital Kolkata — Negligence in treatment

Dear Sir /Madam

We was admitted our be loving late grandmother Ms.Shefali Roy in Genesis Hospital on last 19 August 2010.They had given so many medicine for the treatment under
Dr. Asis Mitra (MD) - [protected]. As per his treatment we was going.

Mr .Shyamal Mitra a agent of Gensis Hospital guide us to take our late grandmother to admit over there.

19th August - In night we asked them how was the nursing staff to take care of my grand mother at night, they told us that we do not worried about this. They suggest us to put a Personal Sister in night for the betterment of my grandmother, we do the same but in the night when i called them up they told me personal sister was not came tonight.I asked them how about their sisters. They again confirmed that they are very caring. But in vain no one was there in midnight to looking after my Grandmother.

My grandmother was submitted as a nemoniya (not correct spelling) patient as per Dr. Asis Mitra told us .

Night one 19th August - All the nights my grandmother suffering for cold in AC room with high speed electric fan above her bed.In morning when i visit her , she told me no one come in night to put off the fans .She press the bell several time, but no one had come .She was under oxygen and saline, so even she in not in the situation to put off the AC or put off the Fans. Her condition went to the worst ,in morning she got a high temperature in her body. In the next morning I complained to Genesis Hospital CEO Partho Sarathi Ghosh (P.S.GHOSH). Though he told me that he will take step on this but alas he did not take any step on this.

My grandmother condition went to worst and doctor suggest that they need to put her into ventilator for treatment after watching one more day.

Night two - 20th August - I told them if they can not arrange any private sister then i will stay at night , then they arrange it and we thing that now everything will goes fine.

Night three - 21st August - In the morning Dr.Asis Mitra told us that as per this hospital negligence my grandmother condition is critical, we need to admit her into ventilator.
We agree to the doctor. Nut again in night they could not take her care and did not take minimum step and give her any medicine for her betterment. Her BP fall down but no one called the doctor or no one gave her medicine.

In the 22nd morning Dr.Asis Mitra called us in his chamber at Genesis Hospital and straight told us to shift our grandmother from Genesis Hospital for numbers of negligence happening in side hospital. He told us to shift the patient to Ruby Hospital . Again i told the management about the same but as that was sunday so few hospital boy was there , No management person was there. I talked with their manager Jyoti Prakash Rao in telephone . He told us that Dr.Asis Mitra is not telling the truth.

Again we talk with Dr.Asis Mitra, he told us to shift the patient immediately to Ruby Hospitals. He complained us that several time Genesis hospital do the same thing.
Also he guide us to called a Critical Care Ambulance to shift this patient into Ruby.W shifted her into Ruby General Hospitals.

Also in Genesis they charge us very high, in three and half days total billing was Rs.66000 (aprox.)
And in Ruby general Hospital it was near 3-4 lacs in 10 day.

Day by day my grandmother going to worst and worst condition and finally on 1st September midnight we lost her for ever.

We need Justice for this negligence with someones life .

Sir/Madam kindly if you can do pls consider my applications and do the needful.

I have all the original documents with me , when ever it will be needed mail me or called me i will submit it .

We lost our grandmother , and i beg for justice on this . I know the pain , i feel her absence , i know the blank after her prematures end and of life for such big negligence in a reputed hospital in our Kolkata city.

The hospital members r very bad mannered ..Nothing sence how to talk with customers ..
