This is a general complaint and eye opener for those who wants to take service from Dish TV:
I am one of the few not so important customer of Dish TV (as they have shown by their attitude).
I dont have any complaint about an individual but almost everyone with whom I have dealt with now (in the last 2 weeks).
Let me tell my experience in a few lines :
I am a customer of Dish TV since 2011 (not that they gave great service but at that time they were the cheapest).
I moved to Bangalore form Kolkata and that's when I got to know what a 'superb' service provider they are.
Let's not speak about the past experience and get into the recent 'story'.
Last week I suddenly saw half of my subscribed channels are not viewable. I called Dish Tv and they raised a ticket for Vandana Agency in Attibelle to cater to my request.
Next day the technician came and changed the dish allignment and went away and I was bale to see the channels again. After 2 days the same thing happened and I called Dish TV they raised a request and asked me to pay which I refused as it was not fault as I would not pay for the same thing which was not done correctly last time, so they waived off the service fee.
Next day the technician did not turn up stating Ganesh Chaturthi and said he would come at 9 am IST next day. Next day I called the service centre at 11 am asking if it was 9 am by their watch as well. The person in charge of the agency stated that the technician would come in 2 hours, he did not. So I called and told the Agency in charge to send the person in the evening so I can go to my office and come back. However I received a call within an hour that the technician is about to come to my house although I had already directed his incharge to send him little later as he did not come on time. So no service and no channels for me for 2 days. Next day the Incharge himself came and said my dish quality is not good (which I was using for 3 years) so I need to upgrade to HD from SD. Fine I agreed and day before yesterday I raised a request to upgrade my service to HD.
Yesterday 2 technicians came to my house in the evening and installed the Set-top box but was not willing to fix the new dish with the HD LNBF and was not willing to give the HD adapter as well (I had to beg for it).
Finally they did not even give me the remote controller even after asking and lied that I would not get it (which I learnt was a lie an utter lie). Then they said the channels would come in 1 hour.
I kept calling them after 1 hour and they kept telling me 30 minutes more. I has been more than 24 hours and now agency did not pick the phone since today afternoon and moreover they closed the service request !!
I called Dish TV and escalated this case who said the service would come in 2 hours (that was at 2 pm IST today). I waited till 4.30 pm IST and called back Dish TV where the Escalation Department 'officer' was rude to us, to our utter shock. I had to tell them that please take the dish away as I would take service from some other potent service provider.
After that I received a call from feedback team that how was the service (as they had closed the call), I said pathetic service so they gave number to call and activate my service as they found my service is not activated.
I called that number and the call was supposed to be transfered to the next level when the person who took the call, came back stating his manager would call me within 15 minutes (6 hours have passed but their 15 minutes is not over).
I can carry on but will that make any change to this utter nonsense service and against whom I should complain - Dish TV, Vandana Agency, Customer Care Officer or Escalation Deprtment !!
