Hello Sir,
I am writing this letter to highlight the concerns we are facing on account of inflated bills sent by MSEB,ShastriNagar, Pune. I have been staying in my rented apartment for the past 1.5 years with 2 other friends. We had been receiving a consistent bill amount in the range of 440-600 from the month of Oct-11 to Jun-12. From July, we have been receiving staggering bills in the ranges of excess of 30,000. We were pretty certain that the bill can’t be so high, as we are 3 bachelors staying at home only from 6pm to 11am, we are not at home at least for 12 hours/per weekday.
When we went to question the concerned officer(Mr.Bhujbal) at ShastriNagar office, first they sent me on a round trip from ShastriNagar to KalyaniNagar, back and forth, then they asked me to get the generated CPL, the CPL machine wasn’t working for a good 15 days, but the EB guys were prompt and inconsiderate to cut the electricity despite the circumstances.
Then when the CPL finally generated, a guy made some random calculations and said you need to pay 15,000. When I asked him to show the calculations, he just remarked- “Yeh aisi hai”, then I had approached the senior person Mr.Bhujbhal over there, and he used the same words, when I asked where I can lodge a complaint, he remarked- “I am the highest authority here, aapko complaint mujhe hee dena padega”. I was totally distraught and frustrated with the way MSEB officials treat their consumers.
I have been behind them for around 3 months and they have switched of our main switch thrice and the 4th time, he would probably remove the switch only. None of the officers replies appropriately and they are highly inconsiderate. I was requesting them to take a complaint to check the meter, for which they said that “Aapka meter teek hee hoga, hamara saab bill check karke batayenge ki meter check karna ya nahi”.
I have lost several hours in my workplace on this account and have earned a bad reputation on this account. I am in a really helpless position and would really appreciate it if the concerned authorities take necessary action to address my concerns.

This is to inform you that I presume and in great belief that my above Meter is running very fast.
I am surprised to see the bill of May 11, bill from 11.04.11 to 10.05.11 which is Rs. 2200/-is very high..
I have compared the residence of same building whose family stayed whole day in their flats, bill amount is reasonable while we leave for office at 8.30 AM and reach at home at 8.30 PM my bill is so high.
I request you to please arrange to check my meter immediately which is running very fast to avoid any further complications.
Please treat this letter very urgent. I have never made any default in payment of bill in past. you can se my track records.
