I have paid my November 2012 electricity bill with amount 950 on 16/12/2012 at center no 6000.50,shivene near malwadi.but it was sunday and the office time was about to close so the attendant lady accepted my bill but told me that she will upated my bill in next day record.and put paid stamp on my bill with next date on it.I have received my next December electricity bill but the amount which i paid in November is showing due and the attendant lady is telling by mistake she put stamp on my last bill and you have not paid anything.

Now please tell me what should I do?

We stay in Viman Nagar and our average electricity bill is 600 to 700. This time the bill has shoot up to 84000 and its impossible to imagine this bill. We had gone to MSEB office they said after 7 days that we can reduce upto 55000. What is this we are only 2 members in our house and to be with we dont stay whole day at home. Please if you can look into this matter and solve the issue at the earliest.

I Mr Subhash S Chakave residing at room no 3, building no 12, scheme no 9 sector 21PCNTDA nigadi pune having consumer no[protected] BU.4676. I paid my last month's bill amonted 1110 by cheque no 192958. I was informed by your office that my cheque was bounced. when I enquired the bank I was told that your cheque was never sibmitted in the bank. Today I received your notice no 594 from your pradhikaran sub division stating my cheque was dishonoured. Dpc and interest value (Rs 250) is also added now to my bill amount. Your office staff dont have any record and are unable to answer my complaints. So I request you to solve my complaint.
i am a housewife and i m taking teaching 4-5 children.And MSEB has charged my residential area as commercial and has charged a fine of rs.10875/-.
i m earning 1500/-.
my husband is unemployed.

    Hi, sir am in yavatmal, most of the time there is power cut, here people are habited to it, earlier there was 6-7hrs power cut in the city during daytime, but now it has started with night also. Mseb gives the worst services suddenly midnight there is power cut, we cannot even sleep properly, there is no complaint number on net for mseb! Where do we contact and how do we live like this. Is this what we desreve being in the shining india.
    Pls help. We really need some urgent help.

      Dear SIR/ MADAM,


      I stay in Pimple Saudagar area..and have been charged a huge electricity bill inspite of hardly any usage. I have repeatedly gone to the MSEB office and given a complaint in writing. I have the receipt of my complaint letter dated 12th september 2012. I have also spoken to mr. Darade.. who's in cahrge. and he has convinced me repeatedly that he will get the meter changed.. But nothing has happened so far. I must have atleast called him every week and reminded him and every time he says that he will get it done soon. I have been getting these high bills since the past one year. I don't know how I can get someone check my meter and get it changed as I am very sure that it is faulty.

      MSEB Billing — Overbilling

      I took possesion of a brand new flat in Vasai in the month of August, I am not residing there as due to my nature of work in overseas. However I was shocked to see an overwhelming bill amounting to 10, 100.00 Rs. I was told by the inspector that builder had consumed power at the time of construction and thereafter changed the meter before releasing allotments. Whatever is the case, why should I bore this bill. Will I get justice. How and where in MSEB should I approach to seek justice.

          This complaint is regarding thee MSEDCL workers who do not have any manners and don't know about any kind of rules and regulations about thee services.
          In theis case , i had received a monthely bill of about Rs.1790 and thee last date of payment of thee bill was 10the Dec 2012. The bill was paid on 30the Nov itself therough online gateway, thee transactions were successfully completed . Now on 10the Dec thee electrical supply to my house was terminated witheout giving any prior information to us. This kind of act is happening from thee last 2 years and theere is no effect on thee complaint which are launched in thee office of MSEDCL Ulhasnagar-5.

            Consumer number[protected].
            This is a house which we own but do no go there, because on interrupted power supply. We have been paying minimum charge of Rs 30 or Rs 40. This February the company took a wrong reading and the bill came to Rs400.This extra charge we decided to pay in Aug 2012. After this they got bold and followed bills for Sept 2012 70 units Rs 313.38. October 70 units Rs 361.95. November 100 units 498.89. All these notional charges are wrong because the meter which they claim to be faulty was working. I always note the reading and the consumption and always switch the main switch on and off and lock it. Also last month the meters have been changed to electronic ones.
            They now say pay the bill or we will cut the supply.

            I had last visited on Sept 2 2012. After this I visited on 1 December 2012. It was then that I got these bills. The new electronic meter was reading 5 and after use on that day it was 7 showing a use of 2 units. If they remove the supply the meter will not read hence the point that the previous was perfectly OK and they have called it a faulty meter. In other words the engineer is not straight. He is trying to get from us whatever he feels is a shortfall due to pilferage.

            I had hand written a letter and sent it with my gardener. They accepted the letter but refused to give acknowlegment saying you pay the bill first.

            Till today the bill is Rs 1250. I do not like to pay this bill because this sets precedent. Another neighbour pays it because he goes there regularly and even though he knows the bill is wrong he pays it. However he does not know about electricity.
            About non use minimum payment of Rs30 I have been doing so for my part house in Bandra to Reliance for the last 12 years.

SHARADCHANDRA GOPAL VADALKAR, GANPATI ROAD NANDURBAR.MY METER IS ON BUT MY BILLS FROM 3-4 MONTHS IS COMING AVERAGE(FIXED RATE) LIKE AND NO ONE COMES FOR READING METER.AND FIRST REGULARLY BY UNITS I WAS PAYING THE BILL.I HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED IN LOCAL OFFICE 4-5 TIMES BUT NO ONE COMES TO REPAIR MY METER.AND IF NOW ALSO AFTER THIS COMPLAIN THEY DON'T COME TO REPAIR MY METER I WILL FILE THE CASE TO CONSUMER COAT.SO PLEASE TRY TO SOON REPAIR MY METER.

              I received my electricity bill for oct - november 2012 for rs.2220.00 (unit used 303) generally my usage o[censored]nit is about 50-150.

              1) if can go through my previous usage clearely mentioned that my every month usage of electricity about 50 to 150 max so one what basis they charge me suddenly for 300 unit coz during oct-november I was out with my family so usage must be less then general usage also.

              2)on my current bill they are mentioned current reading is 4922 and previous reading is 4916 (unit used 303) I have checked my meter and come to know that my current meter reading was showing 4900 unit on 26/11/2012 and on 28/11/2012 reading was 4922 unit which prove that they have made bill without checking meter.

              I would like to take strict action against concern person and company. I am ready to take them court and media so please guide/Advice me about this matter on priority basis.

              MSEDCL provides bill with photo of energy meter with reading. Confirm with photo and the reading mentioned in bill.

              If the readings printed are different than actual, submit the complaint at the nearest office (take a photo of the reading ). They will normally correct the bill.

              If they refused to do so you can make a complain to "IGRF".
              If you have any doubt regarding the accuracy of meter, you can request for meter testing by paying the required fee for single phase meter Rs.150/-. If you want to test it at Standard Lab charges will be Rs.2000

                It is extremely difficult to make online payments on Mahadiscom website. It just does not load...it takes ages and then the log-in session gets timed out. Online payment is a NECESSITY for working people and if this is not working...it becomes very difficult and tedious to pay the bills on time.

                You may have server related issues, or your staff may be logging into the same system to make entries/ view records - which then can place too much load on the servers.

                Please do look into this issue to resolve it at the earliest, as a lot of your customers are dependent on this online service to make payments on time.

                    Sub: Complaint against over charge of domestic electricity

                    I am continuously paying excess bills from last 2 years. No body is listening to our complaints in the electricity dept. We already have been paid a huge amount. We have changed our electricity count meter, but the problem is still there. I am quite sure that this is a case of electricity stealing.

                    This has happened even when we were out of station. We are three girls living in this house and for 8 hours no body usually stays at home because we all are working. We done have microwave or AC kind of thing here and we have enquired to other families living in the same society, they done pay even half of the amount what we are paying from last two years.

                    I have some incidences also which exactly shows that electricity is getting stolen from our connection. We are thinking of doing complaint to police or to the consumer forum. I am working with Sakal Media group. I even thinking of writing something about this in my newspaper. I was very confused and i got this link. So pls tell me what can be the solution to this problem or if you can solve it.

                      Hello Sir,

                      I am writing this letter to highlight the concerns we are facing on account of inflated bills sent by MSEB,ShastriNagar, Pune. I have been staying in my rented apartment for the past 1.5 years with 2 other friends. We had been receiving a consistent bill amount in the range of 440-600 from the month of Oct-11 to Jun-12. From July, we have been receiving staggering bills in the ranges of excess of 30,000. We were pretty certain that the bill can’t be so high, as we are 3 bachelors staying at home only from 6pm to 11am, we are not at home at least for 12 hours/per weekday.

                      When we went to question the concerned officer(Mr.Bhujbal) at ShastriNagar office, first they sent me on a round trip from ShastriNagar to KalyaniNagar, back and forth, then they asked me to get the generated CPL, the CPL machine wasn’t working for a good 15 days, but the EB guys were prompt and inconsiderate to cut the electricity despite the circumstances.

                      Then when the CPL finally generated, a guy made some random calculations and said you need to pay 15,000. When I asked him to show the calculations, he just remarked- “Yeh aisi hai”, then I had approached the senior person Mr.Bhujbhal over there, and he used the same words, when I asked where I can lodge a complaint, he remarked- “I am the highest authority here, aapko complaint mujhe hee dena padega”. I was totally distraught and frustrated with the way MSEB officials treat their consumers.

                      I have been behind them for around 3 months and they have switched of our main switch thrice and the 4th time, he would probably remove the switch only. None of the officers replies appropriately and they are highly inconsiderate. I was requesting them to take a complaint to check the meter, for which they said that “Aapka meter teek hee hoga, hamara saab bill check karke batayenge ki meter check karna ya nahi”.

                      I have lost several hours in my workplace on this account and have earned a bad reputation on this account. I am in a really helpless position and would really appreciate it if the concerned authorities take necessary action to address my concerns.

                        Gist: I have been residing in the location for past more than 20years.. The house is in my name.. Requesting you to kindly remove the Electricity main line passing within my house premises as we have faced the problem due to short circuit in our house.. The current was in entire house Fortunately nobody has died.. The wire connection of the mr. Vijay Yadav overhead of our house has not been directly connected form the electricity pole and i suppose its illegal. We requet at dhokali Kolshet road Thane mseb electricity office they dint turned up, just assured we will connect the line form the main pole...as there is no problem to connect the line from main pole.. Request you to kindly remove the wire which is
                        within my house as this can be fatal. I'll hold MSEB responsible if any thing goes wrong does mseb will bear the responsibility of any casualty if any..
                        I had personally meet MSEB incharge dhokali. who assured he will remove the same. he asked me to call mr. subhash gaikar wire men ( MSEB), i called but he dint came.

                        Also i have written mails to MSEB people, however no body has replied yet.

                        Please note :we have been a regular payer of electricity bill
                        Hope you understand and take necessary action immediately.

                            why nalasopara, faced by power cut for almost 4-6 hours daily? most of 7 pm to 10 pm what is wrong with you people

                            I am the owner of flat Nirman Amrut in Nalasopara nilimore. My consumer number
                            is[protected] in the sub division 4375The said flat has been lying vacant since October 2015. I have been paying minimum bill of Rs. 30 for all these years. In May 2019 I received a bill for 3947 units amounting to Rs 65580 or so. I complained to Maha vitaran vide my complaint no. 11783590 in 14 th July 2019. It matter is yet to be resolved.

                            We residents of nallasopara east are really facing high power cut problems. Everyday there is 2-3 small power cuts and on some days like Friday there are continues long power cuts for almost like 7to 8 hrs this really give troubles to old patients and even the normal public and then too they charge so much for the electricity and stuff
                            And when it comes to giving services there is no response or least response but when it comes to taking money that we have to give by hook or crook

My credit card have charged is of Rs 800/- but payment is not success so you are requested to please review my last online payment status & make change on my last bill i.e paid.

                              Dear Sir,

                              This is to inform you that since last 2 week I have tried to go on MSEDL website page at www.mahadiscom.in to view and pay my electric bill but was unable to get through.

                              Two week before when I had registered I was happy and excited to be relieved of standing in queue to pay my bill or for that matter wait for my bill to be home delivered.

                              Unfortunately, after registering thereafter not a single day I could manage to login and view the status of my forthcoming bill as the page on this site could not be displayed.

                              For working people, paying bill online saves time and effort of waiting in long queue.

                              It is an earnest request to please look into the matter and resolve the website issue at the earliest.

                                I under signed Mr.Laxman Rau Pandhare worked in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. on Electrician Post. My CPF No. 00607428 & Family Pension No. MH/1251/22179. I have been retired in 31st July 2010.

                                I have not received my above Dues yet today. many times I call on Tel No. 26470007 but no response or not proper feedback from MSED Bandra Head Office. How to I contact for my family pension which is pending from last 2 years.

                                Please do the needful & co-operate me in this matter urgently.

                                  I have a connection in my name Mrs Anitha Jeyakumar Consumer No[protected] residing in Sai Sadan co-op Housing Society Plot 643/643A, Room no 101, Ganesh Mandir Marg, Shirwane, Sector 1, Nerul, NaviMumbai-400 706. I was receiving average bill of Rs.600 to Rs800 in Febraury 2011 and then Rs 1000 to Rs1200 from March 2011 to Febraury 2012 Now it has been increased to Rs2200 and above and in my building three to four flats have been receiving bill of Rs200 ro Rs250 for the last few years Please do the needful at the earliest.

                                      Hi all,

                                      I am staying Pune and my family is in Gondia .

                                      We wants to make a first floor ,however there are two wires of our neighbors which goes from our terrace and we stopped to make it ,

                                      My mom has already given complaint in MSEB department to remove that wires,we did not received any feedback from their side from 7 days, hence my mom went there to find out the issue and met with VijayKumar Gupta.

                                      He is only one officer there and was not agree do that, he said '' it will take time and money both and for the money I will not talk to any lady send any guy to talk for the same,''

                                      My mom replied to him we don’t have any responsible guy to talk with you ,because my dad has expired just before 1 month. My mom forwarded 1 blank paper toward him ,and told him like ,if you are not ready to do your work, write thing on paper, he was not ready to do even.

                                      Then my mom came to home and she told all those thing to our WARD MEMBER (Mnohar valde) he called that office for the same then VijayKumar Gupta send to workers for verifying the problems.

                                      After these long procedure they said we will come tom and will cut the wires.

                                      on next day we were waiting for them and nobody came there, hence again my mom came there then VijayKumar Gupta told her you have to build 1 porch(1 Coolum which hold the lenter ) and 1 lenter (1 iron angle which hold the wire) for your neighbor .

                                      We are not ready do that ,however those are not our wires these Cyrano can be done when the wires is o[censored]s .

                                      Those are not our wires, as per the government rule our neighbors should taken care of this, however before giving application at MSEB office my mom had informed both of them change the direction of the wires, however they (neighbors) are ignoring it ,why should we taken care of this .

                                      It’s not our concern ,

                                      My complaint is regarding MSEB officers not helping my mom at all , however I don’t have I father and I am in Pune ,I cannot do it well.

                                      So should I wait for their actions ? and stop work for built

                                      or should I cut those wires and if there any accident is happened with anyone then Who cares?
